If we've learned NOTHING else at this point in our lives, let it be these few simple things: Don't tug on the lone ranger's cape. Don't spit into the JIm. Don't pull the mask off the Superman's facemeat, and don't mess around with Wind.

I'm 100% sure i've got that right.

ENJOY!

Huldra Draco

DUDE!!!! That was FIRE!!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Lacy McCloud

This is soooo good. I need about 12 more listens to hear everything in the arrangement. Just wow 👏 👏👏. Awesome work

Amanda Hovendon

That caption just hurt my brain meat, but the video is 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

V.E. Griffith

It wasn't the wrong choice. Of course, you could always do the other one next month.

Cara K

Loved it!

Sarah Borzelli

that description...you need to rest! I think it was; don't mess around in the gym...never mind. Geoff - I'll have to go listen a million more times to it to catch everything, but so much for now; I really enjoy this upbeat version with all the stomping and humming - it's fresh and new for you! I enjoy it very much! And you were trying to convince us you were uncool - pHa! Failed! You're just the coolest in this one! Very crunchy harmonies, wonderful little runs/riffs - the lowest note moment was delightfully placed - I'm in absolute awe! I've already said it but again; very specifically cool - Geoff!

Cécile Roussey

It was great ^^ I got it in my head now ! hummm ^^

Kourtney Frantz

I’m having a GOOD OL SOUTHERN COME APART!!!!🙌🏻🔥🙌🏻🔥🙌🏻🔥Thank you, SIR!!!! SUPERB! I KNEW you could do Jim Justice!!!!WHEWWEEEEEE!!!!!🥰

this is SO COOL! (and a much needed break from “studying” for ap exams)

Patti Lucero Grace

Love it. I was one of those who requested this song. Thanks.

Édua Elster

You are just the sweetest guy 😆❤️ I love it!

Melissa Elliott

Thank you, Geoff! It was a great Tuesday evening boppy fight song! 😁

Ashley Evers

I have been wishing for this one since I first saw Big Bad John/first found you in general! I'm practically giddy, this is so awesome. And that high verse, good lord.

Marie-Christine Fournier

Thanks Geoff! amazing! That's gonna play on repeat for sure! If that doesn't blow out of youtube, I don't understand.. ( I know, we know, but still..)

Arlene Jacobs

Love this!! Such a good beat. Thanks for including the blooper!! 🤣😆

Sandy McCoy

Loved it loved it ♥️

aethervox

Wasn’t sure if I’d like it - I remember the original -but you nailed it! Congrats!

Creatively_K8

I've always loved this song. You made it amazing! Thank you!

Tara Congo

That write-up 🤣 You're the uncoolest person I know and it's great. I had never heard this song before, but your version is soooo very good. I was bopping in my chair to it the whole way through. And the harmonies!!! This is just great, Geoff. Thank you!!

Amber

Excellent Geoff!! You did an incredible job with this song, I love it! You picked a great one although I am curious what the other choice was.

Dorothy Rosenberg

I love the song. Adored the 5 Geoff’s. Think you made the correct decision. Now I’m going to spend the night listening to this. Thank you.

LaRae

Wow! Never really cared for this song, but, as usual, Geoff’s changed all that! That humming is so yummy! Really a great job! ❤️

Diane Holland

Love seeing 5 bad boys singing in harmony. 🥰

Pat P

🔥😊

Mikki Fullerton

Really enjoy it, thanks for another new one!

Scott Pearce

Great as always geoff, I can only imagine what it's like to get to those choreography and harmonies down

DocSavage

What can be better than Geoff x5 singing Don’t Mess Around with Jim? Why, it would be Geoff singing his soulful bass version of Tom Rush’s Lost My Driving Wheel! Thanks again for sharing your vocal gifts. I agree that your version of the Jim Croce hit feels more like a fight song. Way to go, Geoff!

Evelyn Kelson

So happy you chose this song! Very, very nice arrangement and video. Your voice is extraordinarily good in this song. ☺️

Scott Pearce

Never listened to the orginal but this sounded great

Crisstina Joubert

This was one of my favorites from Jim, and now from you! Love your range so much!! Thank you!❤️❤️

Gretchen G

This is, specifically, awesome. 🤩

Maryse B

Wooo. Ehhh wooo... j'adore! I love it! Thank you Geoff. Good one !

Grace Files

Oh yeah you 10000000% got that right. Holy wow Geoff that was amazing😍 I love the feeling that you gave to this song, I agree that the original is more upbeat and I love how you changed that in your version (I'm listening to the original as I am writing this lmao). And I love how simple the setting of the video is, it fits the idea of that this is a fighting song. I love your arrangement for this one, all of the different chords you use are just amazing😍 To be honest there is nothing that I don't like about this song, you did such a great job. Thank you so much for this amazing masterpiece and I cannot wait for the world to see this in a few weeks!!!❤️

Deana Sherrick

I LOVE THE LAST 5 SECONDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Eileen Parkman

Ohhhh, those harmonies!! Love it!!! But, is there any way to adjust the image for the rightmost clone so he's fully in-frame? Even when he has to solo line, he's partially off-screen, and there does seem to be a somewhat larger gap between him and the others. Just an observation

MJ

geoff omg yes it is fighting song or just a county hit

Jane Beck

That was fantastic!

Leisha Slaughter

Wow. That was so good. Love the more fight like update. Also, it was nice to see Daryl out off his cowboy gear for this video

Mary Benno

Look at you gettin’ all jiggy with it! Glad Daryl found his other left foot! You sound incredible on this one!!!! Good choice!👍

Sarah Martin

I just read the caption, and I am dying! That is why I LOVE Voiceplay so much, you guys are always goofing off and having a good time! Thanks for always making me laugh! 🤣 Oh, and for great music!!

Michelle and Quincy

My daughter's mind is BLOWN!!! Thank you for bringing me back to my childhood riding in the parents' car with this on the radio.

Chris Benefield

I grew up with this song.....But I will be listening to your version from this day forward. Thank you for your hard work and your passion for music.

Sofia Guerra

Didn't know it... now I love it!!!!!

SortaMadDog

I absolutely love the original and I'm glad to say that I was definitely not disappointed with this one. You guys did an absolutely fantastic job with this and I will definitely be listening to this one on repeat.

Scott Pearce

I never heard of it, is it country?

Lady D Richter

PERFECTION!!! My momma used to sing this all the time!

Novi Hallberg

Now thats an earworm i dont mind looping in my head ❤️

DMCARP

Definitely different version, only lyrics same.

Chris Benefield

Rock. From the late 60s & 70s. Jim Croce

Skatemyway

Geoff and VoicePlay regularly introducing me to songs I’ve never heard before. ❤️ This was great, I need to listen several more times….

Kerry green

As usual you are amazing. Thank you 😊

Cloudy Skies

Definitely more badass. Wow. Love it.

Carla Saylor

You don't mess around with Geoff! Croce was one of my favorite singers. I cried so hard when he died! This is a wonderful rendition! Thank you, Geoff!

Loves to Dive

Gonna age myself here but I was just about in high school when the original came out and all the tough guys in school liked to walk around singing it. Hmmmm, now that I think about it, they had long hair and wore tank tops too. Only thing you were missing was the tatoos and the motorcycle. Don't tell anyone but I like your version better.

Cloudy Skies

I was a teeny-bopper when this came out. I was too young to realize that the bounciness of it was incongruous with the story of slicing up the local bad guy by the new bad guy. Yours is a better take on it. Thanks.

Barbara Binney

You definitely made the right choice. Love, love, love this!❤️❤️❤️

Janis Carney

Always liked the original, but yours is delightful. You messed around with Jim (Croce) and did him one better.

Alyssa Daniels

Wow! I’ve never heard this song before, but your version is a certified jam. Those are some delicious chords you packed in there as well! And that tenor verse was flat out gorgeous ❤️

Lynn M

Dang Geoff, you hit this one hard.

doug muchow

A very nice twist on an old classic!

Anna L

Completely new song to me but I love what you did with it!

Jacky Friedman

Oh. My. God. Simple and awesome all at the same time. Love love love it. I love all Jim Croce's songs. I had his cassette with this on it. All of the songs I had back then were either cassette or LP/record album. My daughter was a baby. I'm glad you decided to do this one. You did alot of changes to it but they're all fantastic changes.

Sue Armstrong

Pretty damn awesome, sir! But yes, don't mess around with wind. And maybe watch how many helpings of beans you eat.

Emma Yadkin

Love this song when it came out. Jim Croci was one we lost way too soon. Very glad to see you doing his song now.

Bonnie Kaupp

OMG Geoff! I really, REALLY love this. Putting yourself out there. 🔥 is what I say. 😊

Robin P

Wow. First listen was on my phone and that was a wow. Second listen was on the computer with the good headphones - and WOW.

Jacky Friedman

I have to agree with that. He is a little off.

Hwyla

Aside from all the bassy (you know that kind of looks like a contraction for bad assy) goodness making the vocals sound so much 'tougher', the Stomps and Claps by all 5 of you all lined up like that gives me a bit of a Chain Gang song vibe. How terribly appropriate for the subject matter. Also, that last very low note? Almost feels like an earthquake - even tho' it ain't one of your lowest. But Yes! It IS now a 'Fight Song'!

Randiskye

Love me some Jim Croce so I wasn't sure how I'd feel about this. Not that I was worried at all, as you've certainly proven that you have always respected the original artist and piece. I like where you've taken this, it's a bit darker than Jim's version. His version got your toes tapping to the jaunty uptempo beat & the words became the counterpoint to the feel of the music. Your version is more stripped down and direct: this is serious, while still keeping enough of the original framework to honor Jim's art. I thank you for this as his songs were part of the soundtrack of my childhood and I'm gonna love when I can add this to the top of my Spotify playlist. Well done, Geoff. What can you do with his "Operator"? Just a thought. 😁

Amanda Nott

It's been a long time since I've heard the original, but this was a great reintroduction to the song!

R. W. Hansen

I love this so much! I grew up with this song and you have not only done it justice, but given it new life!

Cynthia Ross

OMG that was 🔥! I’ve wanted nothing more than to hear you and/or VoicePlay dabble in some blues; I felt it’d work wonderfully either way. Thank you for proving me right. 😁 The tenor part was a lovely surprise. I’ve always felt you neglect that part of your range a bit. I mean, I get that bass is what you do, but you sound as good high as you so low and I love hearing you give that voice it’s time to shine too. This one is going into heavy rotation for me. 😁

Rachel Dempsey

Never heard or heard of this song but I love it! It’s definitely an earworm im already bopping along with it. 💕 Great job x

ObscureReferenceWoman

One of my favorites from back in the day. I love what you've done with it! Definitely gonna put this one on the ol' iPod! 😀

Virginia Small

I haven't heard that song in a long time. 😍

Kourtney Frantz

Go listen to some old Jim Croce songs Time in a Bottle, Bad, Bad Leroy Brown, Operator…Geoff has the voice to really make Jim’s songs awesome!! Those harmonies were TIGHT on this one! Just GREAT!!!

Jill Weimer Koeninger 🐉

Love the song! Ya don't mess around with the Geoff, Jeff, Goff, Je-fa-fa, Darrell and Geoffrey

Cindy Smith

FANTASTIC. This song was one of my favorites on LP when I was a kid, and I LOVE this updated arrangement, with its added edge of menace!

Celia

Time in a bottle was a song at my wedding in 1979. Still love that song. Really enjoyed Geoff's version of don't mess around with Jim!

Celia

I definitely don't want mess around with any of those clones! There look scary as hell! But also kind of yummy.

Kourtney Frantz

Meee too, Celia!! I love Jim Croce…I know he would SMASH Time In A Bottle!! 🥰

Lois McCray

This brings back memories. I was 17 going on 18. My husband and I had welcomed our son into the world. 1972 was a special year. ❤️

Renee A. Butler, LMT

I don't think I ever caught in the original that the local bad boy was unseated, but I caught that in yours! Need to go listen to this in my car and in my super bassy headphones to wallow in those amazing harmonies! Amazing job, as ever!!

Leigh D

I've never heard the original before. I love this version

Dexter R

this really brightened my day! absolutely love the energy you got going on

Rebecca Junell

I love the ascending bass at the four minute mark. *chef's kiss* Really neat cover!

Silv E

This is catchy as hell! You're a great storyteller. I never really cared for the original, but your version made me like it. Those harmonies! DAMN!

CR Marsh

Aaaah you wonderfully with this one! I agree that the original is too boppy to be a proper fight song, but you managed to keep that bop while adding a lot more badass swagger to it. Thanks as always for sharing this project with us!

Loretta Durand

Awesome! I love that it has much more mood and depth than the original (which I really liked). Your version definitely fits the narrative much better and makes for a far more interesting song.

Suzy Bailey

That is a really cool new earworm with delicious harmonies, I'm going to be wearing out the play button! 🦸‍♂️🦹‍♂️💜

Shirley B Karr

Love this! Always had a soft spot for Jim Croce. We had a friend sing "Time In A Bottle" at our wedding. I like the a cappella part in the middle, and the different camera work. The lighting is great. You're not going to be able to test your hypothesis about dark backgrounds getting more views than light backgrounds (High & Dry, Wicked Games) with this because once again you've got bare arms on a dark background, like your most-viewed videos (16 Tons, Misty Mountains Cold). You'll have to try one dressed like this with a light background. In the name of science, of course. And test marketing.

Maggie S

Most Excellent!

Nichelle Rae

Dang. This one is just allllll around sexy. Good grief, Geoff. 🔥

Katherine Powell

I had my first community band rehearsal of the season tonight, but I'm here now. :D I really like your interpretation on this one, Geoff. It definitely sounds more like fighting words now. I love the stomps and claps. This video feels like a throwback to some of your earlier ones, song choice does as well. Except you're playing around with your voice so much more now...that scatting at the end....very nice. I'm going to be listening to this one a lot...and wanting to stomp and clap along with you. :D

Carol Franklin

Love it. Definitely going to get stuck in my head. As you say sounds more ‘fighty’ than the original

Natalie Thompson

I love the boppy original but you certainly did the song more than justice. You met your goal of making it more like a fight song. Very cool, as usual.

Jordi S

I absolutely enjoyed this !! 🔥

Laura

Never heard of this song but it sounds cool! And now the video description makes sense too 😂

KorKnot

Love it! Thanks for reminding me of a great song.

Annett Günther

Ich bin jetzt erst einmal komplett geflasht.

Marie DesJardin

I adore Jim Croce. I wore out a thick songbook playing his songs on my guitar. When I saw you were covering You Don't Mess Around With Jim, my jaw fell, and then I laughed and clapped my way all through it. I've only played your delightful version once so far, and it's already shot to the top of my favorites list. What a great song, and what a great cover! I'm wrapping up now so I can play it again. Bravo, Geoff!

Karen Kincaid

OMG!! Great choice. Love it. 💖

Anja Eder

This is the "Geoff style" that I listened to over a year ago. Keep it simple so that your voice comes into its own!!

Annett Günther

So, vom ersten WOW erholt. Respekt! Deine Erscheinung, die Umsetzung, einfach alles ... perfekt!!! Und da war es auch wieder ... come on ... ich danke dir von ganzem Herzen und verneige mich, wieder einmal, vor dir! Danke Geoff

Victoria

LOVE this!!!

Janina

Never heard this song before, but Geoff did what he always does and made it pure🔥 Sound 🔥 Singing 🔥 Looks 🔥

Connor Farrell

this song choice is absolutely killer. love what you did with the piece.

Gillian Drysdale

not heard this one in a long while like what you did with it

Sarah Borzelli

ALSO: I love how you kept the instrumentation simple so that the harmonies shine! Your stance and presence is on point and so powerful and I love how you play with the zooming in and out, very well done, sir! How difficult was that stomping choreo and did you do that to yourself or can you blame Kathy? 😁

Angela Scheiber

Moment, kann Geoff oder sein Team deutsch? Ich stimme übrigens voll inhaltlich zu.

Annett Günther

Hallo Angela, es gibt doch eine Übersetzungsfunktion.

ANITA M WRIGHT

This is so very awesome. Love what you did with this. You are so awesome!

Ethan Kayne

You brought back fond memories with this one. Well done. Definitely going on repeat.

Lenka Z.

Definitely better then the original, at least for me. ☺️ I didn´t know it and just listened to it to be able to compare. It´s kind of funny how many songs that Geoff and/or VP cover are unknown to me although I was born the same year as our beloved "old and boring". 🙃 Must be the geographical difference across the half of the planet I guess. Or perhaps also the influence of the iron Curtain for the few couple of years in my life. It´s nice to be able to appreciate those old songs in a new cover thanks to Geoff´s musical choices. Happy to be able to support his artistic whims. ☺️

Sheila Stephens

Squeeeeee! Jim Croce is one of the only artists whose music I've owned on vinyl, 8-track, cassette, CD, and MP3 (keeping company with Nick Lowe and Frank Sinatra). So glad you chose this, and I'm beyond delighted with your interpretation!

Mickey H

didn't know the song but yep, that's one hell of a fighting song! really well done!

Tine

Oh my GOD. What a banger, Geoff. Your bag of tricks must slowly resemble Mary Poppins' bag or something, because this is so cool. I really enjoy this. So well done! For the video I really like the grainy quality the wide and medium shots have, it really adds to it for me. The editing works so well too. Stuff like this keeps me so excited to see what we have yet to hear from you, as every time you outdo yourself and it's delightful to get to support a small part of this; Thank you so much, to you and Kathy! Thanks for including that little blooper too! Always enjoy those.

Mia

I love this song, but the original was so folksy and upbeat that I never took notice of the lyrics. You've made it a whole new experience and I'm hooked. The visuals are also engaging enough to watch (and enjoy) but subtle enough to prompt visualising the lyrics. An extremely well crafted production in all aspects 🖤

Leisa S

🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

Jeanette Pencz

I didn’t know this song before but I instantly LOVE it 🥰. Hooray - what a great song. I can’t stop listening to it on repeat. Great fantastic earworm 😁

Maria Stoycheva

came for the guns, stayed for the melody XD

Kathy Pricer

Fantabulastic!! Geoff, you've really got to stop making original versions sound so .... ho-hum! This was a favorite of mine as a kid. Hadn't thought about Jim Croce in a long time, but as some others suggested, Geoff could do perfect justice to any of his songs. Love to hear Bad Bad Leroy Brown!! And I can hear a beautiful Time in a Bottle with the piano talent and the haunting quality Geoff can bring to his voice when he turns on the mellow love song vibe! Thank you Geoff for another instant winner!!!

Christine Stromberg

Another one I'd never heard before. Whatever, this is fun. And don't ever say that you can't dance. Maybe it isn't dancing per se but you can certainly move. :) And very cool it is too.

Leonie Frenkert-Ghazi

When I heard the song last night, my first reaction was: WOW!!!! After listening to it several times this morning, I now know what made me say WOW!!!!: You used your huge vocal range perfectly: It's like a story that you tell, with different characters: Jim, who you shouldn't mess with under any circumstances (bass) and the inconspicuous country boy Slim, who does it anyway (tenor). You staged a David/Goliath story PERFECTLY. A lot of thoughts must have gone into the optimal implementation of this project. THAT'S YOU!!!!! Thank you, Geoff!!!!!

Leonie Frenkert-Ghazi

Das war ich auch!!! Habe gerade erst einen Kommentar geschrieben! Ich musste es erst mehrmals hören! FANTASTISCH!!!😊

Scott Pearce

Just listened to the original since ive never heard it, I prefer Geoffs version better, this song will now be referred to as you dont mess around with Geoff

Steffi Poe

What a catchy song 👏 Can't wait to hear it over and over again when published on Spotify 😊 Congratulations to another earwig masterpiece!

Renee A. Butler, LMT

Okay, after like a dozen additional listens (I will never be able to be a reactor and watch this once and speak coherently!) I realize why I love this so much (aside from the bass goodness and the crunchy harmonies): 1. The guitar drive like Man of Constant Sorrow 2. The hums like Ain't No Sunshine 3. The stomps like In the Air Tonight 4. The story song style like all my favorites - 16 Tons, Big Bad John, Ain't No Sunshine, Man of Constant Sorrow, and House of The Rising Sun Love love love this one - can't wait until it goes up on Spotify and YouTube, but I'll wear out the Patreon video until!!

IsabellA

As often happens when you go to folk/country territory, I did not know this song, so I listened to the original before listening to your GREAT cover. So, thank you for the discovery because it is excellent folk, and thank you for your fantastic version. Even just listening after viewing the video, there is more storytelling and feeling in yours, not just because of the different voices and ranges. It made me laugh to see a "fifth" Geoff. So, do we also have Slim Geoff now, or did he just kill and replace one of the "regular" Jeffs? It's a proper fight song, too. It gave me the appropriate motivation I have been searching for days to tackle the weeding in my garden and the big thistles there and : you don't mess around with my garden! So yeah!

Filiz E

Another song I have never heard before, but I love this version🔥🔥

H. Stefan

Great song and finally a more upbeat song. Really a great performance. Thank you.

Randiskye

Ooh! Time in a Bottle grizzly bear lullaby style FTW! That works!

Angie Woollard

Missed the premiere and am just now getting a chance to watch and listen and I AM SHOOK DOWN TO MY CORE. Here's me, headphones on, by myself in the house, watching and listening and EXCLAIMING LOUDLY several times in expressions of utmost joy. There may have been expletives. This is one of the best songs you've done, Geoff. This...this may even be giving Man of Constant Sorrow a run for its money as Favouritest Ever Geoff Castellucci Creation*. I always look forward to seeing what kind of ride you take us on, and where you're going to add those unexpected chord shifts, usually popping in a minor where I'm expecting major, and you did not disappoint. Au contraire. And your physical performance of this song - wow. You SOLD that attitude. I love the 16 Tons-esque feel of this video. This one'll do well. *for now

Deborah Krach

I really love your rendition of this song. It seems more like a story rather than a be-bop song. Keep doing what you are doing!

Deborah Krach

You must have typed your intro after a hard days work since you changed all of the lines. You can be so goofy and I still love it.

Mardette

One of your best! Deep within, you have the heart of a country boy. Makes me smile real good.

Donate Zechiel

Or in English: cool, great awesome!!!🤩 I’m absolutely thrilled

Jamie T.

As one of those who have requested this in the past, thank you sooooo much!!! I absolutely LOVED it!!! 😍 😍😍😍😍

Agnes EvaR

I haven’t known the original, but I love your version, Geoff. The beat is great, the harmonies are catchy. I like that this time you sang more in the middle and upper register of your voice. (Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your deep voice very much!) Luckily, you sang us some nice low notes, though. So, we have a good song, which people can know from Stranger Things as well, we have a 16-tons-vibe dark video, an Ain’t-no-sunshine-like humming section, 5 Geoffs in sleeveless shirts. Everything is in place for success. At least I hope so.

Grand Nagus

The simplicity of the video, other than the choreography, obviously, as is seen at the end, i like the same outfit style videos very much, and the camera movement and the cuts, i really, really like it. Looking forward to the BTS for this one.

Yasmin Goosey

Ooh love this! So catchy! Will definitely be playing on repeat 😊

Hwyla

Doesn't this feel a bit like the 'Dark Side' of "16 Tons"?

Doroti 🤍

Das ist die einzig richtige Beschreibung 😂👍

Tara Williamson

I love this! I grew up listening to Jim Croce in the backseat of my parents' car, so I know the original very well. I actually like that the clone on the far right isn't always in the frame properly -- it feeds the illusion that there actually are five people on the set at the same time and the camera operator had a hard time getting all of them in the same frame.

Tara Congo

Geoff, you big jerk, this song has been stuck in my head all day. How dare you make such a catchy tune 😂

Gail R.

Excellent! Works well visually and musically. Good choice to omit the last verse, which always seemed redundant to me.

Nagita

Ok, we gotta start calling Geoff ‘Hawkeye’. Cause he just can’t seem to miss.

Sandy Mrotek

I thought this was so great. That is one of my favorite songs and you did it so well. I will be listening to it many, many more times. Thank you for sharing your wonderful talent.

Patricia Merry

This is mezmerizing - both visually and auditorily.

Ann Durham

I'm old and boring enough that I was in college when this song came out. Love your darker version (and those harmonies!) Adding my voice to those pleading for TIME IN A BOTTLE! That was one of "our songs" for my late and much-missed husband and would reduce me to a blubbering puddle but I want it so bad!

Hallie Heller

Awesome version of this amazing song! Perhaps a short for Time in a Bottle? My favorite Jim Croce song! You added such a fun beat and visually captured the feel of Big Bad John. Loved it

Celia

Time in a Bottle please!😍😍😍😍😍

Frances Smith

Jim Croce—one of my favorites. Please do Time in a Bottle. This one is fantastic. Absolutely love EVERYTHING about it. This could be another 16 Tons for you. I am so pleased. Also love you got a dog. Please make a cd. There are many of us who still play cds.

Cassandra Collins

Awesome, as usual. And I'm not mad that you are apparently allergic to sleeves ;)

Gene Skinner

This was another one of your greats!! My family just loves to listen to your singing. Oh my gawd your deep, deep vocals. Thank you for all your hard work.

Eliz Brown

This was very fun! 🤩

Shirley27

I was a little worried messing around with Jim Croche but you did a damn fine job. Never should have doubted

Sandy Nickell

Best one yet! I just listened to your segment with Kathy about her hearing loss, how much of something like this can she hear? Can she hear tone differences like this?💜💜💜

Erma Payne

Your talent just keeps pouring out of you! This is just incredible, Geoff! I've seen and heard a lot of talent in my day, but I have never been mesmerized by anyone like you. What a God given gift!

Lee Chowning

It feels a lot like Aint No Sunshine, where he takes a song that was miscast originally... and he fixes it.

Annett Günther

Ich MUSS es mir immer wieder anschauen und anhöre, ich liebe es einfach!

Lee Chowning

I cannot wait to see the reactions to this one. There gonna be a few dropped jaws for sure.

Pidge Groce

Holy Guacamole! I grew up with Jim Croce's music, and this song was always a favorite. So admittedly I was a bit nervous. You. Were. AWESOME!! I wouldn't be surprised if this was the definitive version from now on.

Cynthia Ross

I just caught the fist verse says “big Jimmy Walker”…. Jimmy “JJ” Walker is the name of an actor best known for his role on the tv show “Good Times”. He was the super skinny kid known for the catch phrase “Dy-no-MITE!”. And….now I’m seeing him as “Big Jim”.

Lori Kingston

That's a really good question -- wish he would answer. Or maybe Kathy herself could answer...
