I was pretty sure from your teasers that was the house you were looking at for Big Bad John.

Gillian Drysdale

poor Kathy being scared by the peacock..where was that big strong man of hers when she needed him? 😂

Tine

It really is ALWAYS the birds with you two, isn't it😂 thanks!

Huldra Draco

Thanks for another great BTS, Geoff and Kathy 🥰 Agreed, Geoff, Kathy truly is beautiful ❤️

Sarah Borzelli

What a lovely location. Peacocks don't like competition! Thanks for your awesome work!

Jaezrar

Nice! Thank you for this BTS. I enjoyed it :) Also loved the peacock 😂 We lived near a park on our previous address and they had two of them. We could hear them calling clearly! I miss hearing their calls.

Rev Jessie

Thank you so much for this. I love being able to pull back the curtain and see some of the work that goes into making these beautiful songs.

Manasi Kane

Trust y’all to find a peacock roaming the streets, fighting its reflection 😂🦚 Thank you for the BTS, that really seemed like an easy, beautiful day ❤️

Marie Galaxy

I was soooo hoping that peacock was going to spread its feathers! What a great history behind that house. I love stories like that. Thanks, once again, for a great BTS!! 😺

Angie Woollard

Thanks for this glimpse, guys! I love that it was a relatively easy day for you. Also, I love those boots, Geoff. 😍

Debs Badger

Matt! That was my second guess! 😆

Shellee Roe

XD the peacock at the end didn’t seem very impressed. I absolutely loved this. Thanks for the BTS.

Maria Moore

Such a beautiful day for a special couple and their coffee

Jordi S

Thank you for the glimpse behind the video!

Filiz E

Thanks for sharing!

Mikki Fullerton

You guys run into more birds while filming than anybody I know...

Sarah Borzelli

🎵 these boots are made for sitting...🎵 😆

Marlene

Beautiful place. Love the behind the scenes. It shows how much work and pride you and Kathy put in.😊

Jacky Friedman

That's Florida for you. Depending on where in Florida is what type of birds. But there's definitely no shortage anywhere 😂

Jacky Friedman

Dang. Now I have that song in my head sung by Nancy Sinatra. Thanks 😂

Cécile Roussey

As always, it was very interesting ^^ Thank you Geoff and Kathy! ^^ And thanks for the wink towards the end ^^

Meg Dailey

I see! Not cobra chickens, not mosquitos, but a secret third thing! A violent secret third thing! Glad everyone made it out alive~

Patricia Schuman

I knew someone who moved their entire house. His was a two story Victorian mansion along a main thoroughfare in my hometown. The street was literally called "Grand Avenue" due to the fact it had originated as a broad street where the wealthiest people built their homes, but all the land on it was now being sold for commercial/retail use. He never said outright, but I suspect he negotiated a sweet deal, being one of the last holdouts in the area, that the buyer of the land would pay the cost for the relocation of the house. And I believe peacocks are very vocal and competitive with other males during the mating season, so it was probably thinking it was defending its territory against a rival when he saw the reflection. I've certainly see cardinals ending up inflicting a lot of damage to themselves by repeatedly attacking their reflection in windows.

Jacky Friedman

Hmmm. I was the first to comment a bit ago but it's not here. Dang 😕. If it doesn't resurface.... Was surprised to see this soon after the preview. Usually we have to wait a couple days. Si imagine my surprise when this popped up in my notifications this morning. So I ran my little fingers straight over here to watch this awesome BTS with my old and boring eyes and ears and a huge smile on my face. Kathy. That peacock was too interested in fighting the peacock on the car to chase you. And he wouldn't have anyway unless you got too close. You were plenty far enough away. Me on the other hand would have stayed there watching him as long as I could. Even saying hi and talking to him. But from where you were. I'm like that with most all animals wild or tame. Usually if you stay calm and speak softly they are less likely to attack you. Don't show fear. Even if they're being aggressive towards you. Fear is what they want. Not showing fear is telling them you're the alpha not them and that usually makes them at least not attack and most times just go away. Whenever I get a pet the fhing I do is talk calmly and lovingly. If they show any aggression I immediately say no firmly and stand my ground. 99%of the time works. I used to have a female boxer that thought she was the head of the roost. For either years we would go back and forth. She wasn't aggressive. Actually was a sweetheart. But was stubborn as heck when told to do something. We had many starring contests. Guess who always won and who ended up blinking her eyes and doing what she was told. My hubby used to laugh because of it. Once he timed us at about 5 minutes.

Marie DesJardin

Kathy was right! Yes, the peacock was attacking its reflection. Wise move to just... back away... Such a fun BTS. It was great to get a glimpse of your brainstorming process when you approach a shoot. Glad you got the Victrola working-- good old YouTube to the rescue.

Amanda Nott

I enjoy watching these BTS videos! Thank you for taking the time to put them together for us!

Ilona Dever

Love the manor, it's gorgeous. Everything about your version of I Walk the Line is wonderful!!

Jacky Friedman

Sounds like Fort Myers Florida. House moved on the same street. Another time in downtown a house was next door to a daycare. The daycare bought the property but couldn't by the house as it was a historical place owned by the city. So the city bought the empty lot across the street and that's where it now stands. The daycare built a fenced in play yard for the kids. My dad used to do window repairs and replacement for city in all their historic houses. So needless I got to see many as I was his assistant. Our whole family worked with him here and there but I was the main one that helped.

Hunter

Thank goodness no sandhill cranes to be seen. Peacock 🦚 Sup?

Hunter

Peacocks - still not as scary as cobra chickens. 🐍🐓

Susan B

Thank you! I do love me some Johnny Cash 💚 🦚

Annett Günther

Thank you very much for the wonderful song! 🤩

Sue Armstrong

Oooh, woodwork! 😍 Thanks for the glimpse inside the house, it's gorgeous. The guy in the jacket did a pretty good job, too.

Scott Pearce

I think Geoff and Kathy should just buy this house

Cloudy Skies

Peacocks are loud, obnoxious and messy...and, okay, pretty. But, if you approach them assertively, they run or fly away.

Cloudy Skies

Except for the sitting on bricks for 5 hours part, it looks like this shoot went pretty well . Glad it finally came together. Thanks for sharing. Love the recording and the video.

Deborah Krach

Great job. I really like to watch the BTS that you share. Sorry about your tuchas but you are always great to watch. You need to find a nice soft place to rest your tuchas .

Kechia Nicole

I LOVE how this ended. You two are just the sweetest! I can’t wait to see the music video! Geoff, you are so talented!

Grand Nagus

You can't go wrong with JR Cash. Interesting that you used that album though, since the song is not on this. I guess you used it since it's one of the albums you were sent, still, i was thinking that that is kind of funny. Only me nitpicking, sorry. Still love the video, the song and the BTS. Thanks Geoff and Kathy.

Jacky Friedman

I've had them chase when I've gotten too close. Never attacked just chased.

L. Randolph Lee

I really enjoyed this! You had two cameramen in steady-cam rigs, which was really cool. And they seemed really relaxed working with the ‘talent’. Is there a page of links to past productions? I’d love to see some behind-the-scenes videos from those.

Doyne

Wonderful BTS...thanks!

Jacky Friedman

Probably in the car drinking coffee 😂

Jacky Friedman

They're all right the preview videos on each. You can either do an individual search in the search browser. Ir do like I did. Scroll to the very beginning his Patreon and binge watch them as each comes up. It's a long list but well worth it. Did the same with Voiceplay.

Debs Badger

Geoff also set up a 'Behind the Scenes' Collection.

Sandy Nickell

“It was a pretty easy day.” Even so to me it seems pretty complicated!

Jeanette Pencz

Thank you for the wonderful BTS 🥰 Always a highlight 😘

Cloudy Skies

I only ever had 1 male, and he would try to intimidate me but if I stood my ground and stepped assertively towards him shouting, he'd scoot. Of course, if I had treats, he'd grovel and purr. All that being said, caution is always advised. I was attacked by a turkey and all of my posturing was for naught...aggressive little b*stard.

Brandy Franklin

Geoff struggling with the record player screaming in OLD: Dang this new fangled technology *shakes fist* At the end, the car got attacked by a glamor chicken.

Badger77722

Geoff, you've truly earned your Man Card with this video - not reading the instructions on the turntable until after failing miserably to get it working on your own! Bravo!

Ms Molly

I love the BTS...it's so fun to see how you pull your magic together! Y'all are so smart! It's funny that you struggled with the low-teky-teky phonograph, but are all uber-knowledgeable about the high-teky-teky filming, cameras, lighting, etc! LOL I can work the heck out of that phonograph but all the filming stuff is WAY beyond me!

ANITA M WRIGHT

It is so awesome to see the behind-the-scenes workings, I love seeing how this was all put together. You and Kathy work so well together! God Bless You!

KorKnot

Both of you deserve a round of applause. 👏

Tema Krempley

Honestly, I'm impressed you can figure out so much on your feet. Such a charming location! And of course charming folx. Kathy was smart to avoid the peacock. Any of those big, waddling, showy birds are bad for your health!

Judi B E

And thank you for filming that for us. 🩵 it to pieces.

Leigh D

Seeing Kathy at the end with the peacock, I'm wondering how she'd feel about a cassowary (Australia's living dinosaur bird).

Hunter

Kathy: Beautiful weather today! Geoff: Not as beautiful as you! Most of us: awww. Geoff’s talking about Kathy!”😘🥰 Nope. Odds are he’s talking about the Starbucks drive thru. 🙄😂

V

Best hatched plans are Last minute. Works for you guys 🥰 Kathy is beautiful 😍

Leonie Frenkert-Ghazi

Hi Geoff, I'm so happy that you're so happy about the record! You could really see it in the BTS! 😊 Maybe you'll find a use for the other records too! Just listen to that ancient version of "I'm my own Grandpa"... 😍 Now that you've bought a record player, there's nothing stopping you! 😂 Thank you for the joy you bring us with each of your songs! Let me know if you need more record inspiration! I have plenty more! 🥰

SunnyOutlook

The BTS looked like so much fun. I really enjoy these. Thank you for another awesome video. I’m thinking there should be a separated YT channel for Geoff’s hair. It always looks so good. LOL!

Åse M Bruun Lagnestål

Finally I got all things needed to watch this. It’s always such a treat to get the chance to watch you working together. 🥰👍 Thanks! //Åse

Gretchen G

Thank you for another great bts video! I love the peacock! 🦚

Lady D Richter

At the end of all your BTSs iI always want to visit these gorgeous locations! (But why does your camera man look like "Goth Dad" ?)

Silv E

I do enjoy watching large, strikingly decorative males peck at their own reflections! LYMI 🦚

Carol Franklin

What a beautiful setting. Always loved Johnny Cash something I love even more is Geoff singing Johnny Cash. Peacocks & swans should always be avoided really vicious 🤬

ChazyUK

You are so right about that 🤣 why do men do that every time lol 😂 drives me nuts 🥜 😀

Susana

Thank you for this video, it's the first one I watch, I joined as patron today. I'm so happy. Beautiful couple !

Rachel Dempsey

A peacock once mugged me for my Big Mac 🍔🦚😭

Crisstina Joubert

Beautiful voice, couple, mansion, location. I just love your BTS videos, and am ever impressed with the equipment and technical knowledge you all have. Love Peacocks, but definitely from a distance. Thank you so much for sharing!!❤️❤️

Mark Armstrong

Just became a patron, Take me home country roads had cranes, large birds have issues with Geoff filming around them.

Susana

Hi, I became a patron a few days ago, and there are so many interesting videos, audios, chats to watch. Welcome.

donna stockwell

I'm so impressed with your ways to do things just fabulous. I love Johnny cash grew up with his songs. Hope one day you can do Ring of fire. I live where it was filmed in Washington State I was eight years old. So very special song to me. The train is still there to this day 😊❤️ This song was also one of my favorites.

Susana

Hi, I have watched the video several times, and I know that many fans would always like to see 'all the Geoffs' , but it's very nice to see you alone singing too. I think that The sound of silence is the greatest way to show that you and a piano is enough. But I can't deny that I also like more of you on the screen, singing the low and high. // This video es so lovely, specially because Kathy sits next to you and you look at each other so beautifully. Thanks Geoff for the video and the behind the scenes, etc.

Kati Heikkinen

You win the internet! Or whatever the kids say these days :D

Mark Armstrong

If they film near Ostriches, Geoff will be doing everything by himself.
