Not one with Kathy? I think that the one with Young You and Older You gives away too much, but any of the others would work well!

I like 6 and 4 best. 7 gives away too much. However, the font with the little stars/crosses has a circus feel to it.

I chose #4, because of the direct eye contact. #5 and #6 are ok, but I like #4 better. #7 is a no for me, because it spoils the emotional gut punch of the video.

I personally 'like' 5, but think 7 will get you more clicks, although you might need to do it as larger closeups of the face rather than the upper torso in order for mobile users to get the full impact of the young vs old.

I like Geoff's bass tones in this, but I really feel that the music dominated over his voice. I would like to see four Geoffs in harmony with this.

I don’t think you should give away the big reveal in the thumbnail though it’s a cool idea. You once said that we, your patrons, aren’t really a true representation of your demographic, as we are “superfans” and also because we’ve already seen the video and might try to choose a thumbnail that best represents the video, rather than choosing something that makes us think “ooh! Interesting! Tell me more.” I wonder if sometime it might be an idea to do a thumbnail poll with us patrons **before** we’ve seen the video…maybe that would prompt us to give you more of an instinctive “yes I’d click on that!” kind of answer. Also, hangnails are the worst - sorry to hear that, buddy.

What happened to 1, 2 and 3 lol? Not 7, it's a little blurry. Of these, I would choose 5 or maybe 4 but my preferred choice would be something not shown here. I think it needs a different font and maybe an image not mid- word.

The third one before Young and Old. You have a far away look like your thinking about Kathy. So it's a more romantic look.

I made them all really small and then glanced over for a "thumbnail test". The direct eye contact in 4, as well as the hand and table being more visible, draws my eye the most, so I voted for that one. But the looking down in 5 did make me want to click it as the gaze had more of a sense of urgency to it, so that could be good also. But if you go with 5 I'd trade Geoff and the text sides (if possible. the right side may be too busy of a background to get the text on so I can guess why you put it on the left) as your gaze leading off the edge of the thumbnail may just make somebody click on the video to the *right* of yours instead of yours. An issue not present with 4, so it retains my vote. I didn't go with old & young at all as I think when it's as small as a thumbnail and taken in a glance it's not going to be obvious to a good portion of eyes that there's even a difference between the two Geoffs, so it just makes it look like two of you in the exact same pose for no reason which could be quickly dismissed for clicking these days due to indication of some kind of "fake AI trickery". There, over-thinking a very simple question complete for the day. Too bad that wasn't on my to-do list or I could cross it off.

think I've got to agree with others saying that Thumb 7 is a bit too much of a reveal. The others... it's difficult. For me it's probably between 5 & 6; Thumb 4 is a bit too much of a break in the fourth wall for this particular video.

I say thumbnail 6 because your face is lit better than 4. 6 has a higher chance of saving the universe 😉 Definitely do not give away the old(er 🤣) Geoff reveal in the thumbnail I think !

This is how I know that most people aren't playing this game right, cause 6 would be my choice from looking at the pics close up, but 5 was the one that drew my eye first when they were tiny 🤣 The framing was slightly better, I think.

I like Thumb7 because it shows that, even when you are _actually_ old, you'll still have long hair and fail to fully button your shirt. Seriously, I think it best prepares the viewer for the story you're going to tell. That said, the other Thumbnails are fine, too!

I am surprised that 6 is winning here. #4 is my favorite by a long shot. It just makes you stand out more against the black background vs the wooden furniture. It feels perfectly framed in a way the others aren't. Also - Gramophone!

#7 is out. It's too blurry. #5 is ok, but just meh. I've got it narrowed down to 2. Half way there. I like the eye contact of #4, but the lighting in #6 is better. Decisions...decisions. I'm gonna go with #6.

#4 for sure, and #7 is out, it gives too much away I mean you want to keep the storeline a secret until people start watching the video right? What I love most about #4 is the fact that you're almost looking at us, but not really. I feel like that one engages me the most....

I like the concept of 7, but it feels visually unbalanced in a way (symmetrical/asymmetrical in a weird way? Idk, don't read too much into it). I voted for 4 - your expression there, just, gut punch ... kwim? Anyway, no worries, if we guess wrong we'll just cook up a new universe from scratch.

Well, I like #7 best. I like the contrast and even though it appears to give away a surprise it gives insight, too. If I hadn't heard the song already I'd at least know what to alert on and that helps me understand the story. I'm not a big Cash fan so I don't know what it is supposed to be about. I'm still not quite certain why G is looking like he came out of a fire when she's not there. Is she supposed to be dead and gone or she just moved on, or what? But his loss was palpable.

Love the intensity of 5 but also love the easter egg of the gramophone in 4 and looking directly at the camera. I'd say no to 7 so as to not spoil what happens in the story. This video tells a great story that makes me think about the song in a totally different way. Nothing wrong with park-and-bark videos but I love a good story. This approach was a really creative concept. Well done!

I don't think #7 would be a spoiler at all. If you haven’t seen the video, I think it would spark interest. The song itself is not necessarily about being young or old. That said, I voted for #4. Love the ring of the gramophone, the ring of the lamp, the red ring around the lettering, the ring on your finger...wait…ok, you can’t see your wedding ring, but you get my point. I really like those elements, along with all the glow adding to the feeling of fire.

If you're wanting to emphasize the melancholy aspect of the song, all of these are good options. If you want the thumbnail to tease the moments of sweetness in your video, then you could maybe use a picture of your face when you're smiling at Kathy instead.
