Hi Everyone!

Geoff and I have been hard at work on his next video. We should be finished filming on Oct 3rd and you'll be seeing it shortly thereafter (if all goes according to plan 🤞🏻). In the meantime, I decided to put together a little something for you. This is a real blast from the past. Please excuse my TERRIBLE camera work! I filmed this with my very first iPhone and I had no clue how to use it. That's how long ago this was.

Take a stroll with me down Main Street USA in this never before seen footage of Geoff. This was one of his first shifts with "The Dapper Dans" at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom back in 2010. Enjoy!

Oh I love barbershop! Thank you so much!!!! 🥰

Dolly Geotes

Love it. Blasts from the past are good. A gentle reminder of how far you’ve come

Lady D Richter

Awww, how cute he is! So young and not boring!

Cynthia Ross

Don’t care about the camerawork; I’m just delighted to be able to hear this. Thank you for sharing!! 🫶 (And the camera work isn’t all that bad…I can see just fine. Easy enough to rotate my phone to follow!)

Kristin Taggart

Oh wow, tap dancing even! Thanks for sharing. <3

donna stockwell

You did great with your I phone. It's nice to see blasts from the past 👍😁❤️

Tine

Thank you Katie 🙏🏻

Gillian Drysdale

he’s come a long way! but so cute to see that thanks Kathy ❤️

Brittany Nanney

That was wonderful! Thank you for sharing 🥰

Angie Woollard

WOW!! Such cool footage to have unearthed! Who would have thought that clean-cut, short-haired, bow-tie-wearing, bell-ringing fella would later be wearing a tank top as he flipped his long hair out of the way to sing 16 Tons on the YouTubes! Impressive singing, but I'm MOST impressed with the coordination of that bell-ringing! What an added layer of challenge! I'm, um, super glad your camera skills have improved Kathy! 😅

Ashley Evers

Geoff looks like he's just about to giggle this whole video 🤣

Jamie T.

Love it 😄. Now we can add tap dancing to Geoff's list of accomplishments. Thanks Kathy.

Sarah Borzelli

Hey Kathy! Thank you so much for this - I love it! The professional tap dancer Geoff - look look! ❤️

Maggie S

That was fun! Thanks for sharing.

LaDonna Hickey

That was so cute!! And Geoff looks like a baby boy! LOVE THIS!!! More please!

Manasi Kane

This is just such a joy to watch ❤️Thank you Kathy ❤️! I don’t mind the camera rotating at all , it’s easy enough to turn your phone over to follow it , gives you something to do 🤣

Huldra Draco

Thanks Kathy, this was so much fun! 🥰

Emma Yadkin

Was that bow tie brought to us by Blue Bunny ice Cream? Thanks for the trip down memory lane.

Janece Suarez

K., thank you for this blast from the past! It was fun to watch!

Jaezrar

Awesome! Thanks Kathy :D

Cloudy Skies

Oh my goodness...so young. That was really cute. I have seen still photos of him in his Dapper Dan costume, but never video of a performance. Thanks for sharing Kathy.

Jordi S

Singers who can move well 😊

Filiz E

What a great video! Loved the bells a lot.. Thanks for sharing Kathy!

Mikki Fullerton

lol what a blast, sorry I am still chuckling at the camera rotation... but thank you for sharing it regardless! I still enjoy the Dapper Dans every time I go to the Magic Kingdom. Geoff did a good job!

Jacky Friedman

Wow!!!! Thank you Kathy for the trip to memory lane. What year was this video taken? I might have seen them one of the years I went to Disney World in the mid to late 2000s or so. And talk about baby Geoff. Wow!. I know a few reactors that gave him that nickname from Road Trip. Totally understand the camera taking. I always have the same problem too when I get a new phone cause their all different.

Trixie

So much fun .., love the toe tapping too …. Who knew 🤪

Jeanette Pencz

Thank you so much Kathy for sharing this. It is absolutely adorable 🥰

Angie Woollard

Kathy said in the description that it's from 2010.

Maria Rydström

What a wonderful and fun video. Thanks Kathy for showing us🩷

Debs Badger

That was definitely a treat! Thank you, Kathy! 🥰 I've seen some pics of Geoff as a Dapper Dan, but never any audio or video before. So, he's blue here, I've seen pics of pink. Did he ever have to wear the dreaded green? 🤣

Maria Moore

These guys are tight but you guys are tighter. I can imagine geoff singing along bin his amazing low voice

Katherine Powell

So.....we just gonna add tap dancing to Geoff's long list of abilities.....okay. What a fun blast from the past, Kathy. Thank you for sharing. :D

Talbot

THANK YOU for that blast of dopamine. It was adorable. Something tells me Geoff isn't gonna tap in his new video, though.

Arlene Jacobs

Love this so much! So is this where his sarcasm comes from or was it way beforehand? Thanks so much for sharing this!!

ChazyUK

Oh this is wonderful Geoff and Kathy 🥰🥰 I couldn’t help but notice Geoff just can’t hide it well when he wants to crack out laughing 😆 I loved every moment of this 😊 thank you so much for sharing this with us. As a side note to the story I told you Geoff, re my 19 year metal head Grandson 🤣 and the only thing he said after he sat listening to “Nothing else matters” was the bloke with the deep voice has cool hair, nothing about the vocals, not a word etc 🤣 In that said story I said I was trying to convince him that his perception of Acapella isn’t always correct, that 4 men standing outside a barber shop singing “we wish you a merry Christmas “ isn’t what VP is about, I’d best keep this fab treasure of a performance to myself 🤣🤣🤣 Geoff you and Kathy are real stars, thank you ☺️

Amber

Thanks for sharing this with us all, Kathy! Love seeing the old footage of Geoff 💜

Rachel P.

Thank you, Kathy!!

Amanda Nott

That was fun! I had no idea Geoff has the talent to play the chimes and do a little bit of tap dancing! 🙂

Amy Murray

Awwwww, it's baby Geoff! Well, kind of. :) This was a fun little blast from Geoff's past. Thanks for sharing this Kathy!

Ilona Dever

I know I'm the only one who kinda misses shorthaired Geoff from time to time.... What a hoot this was!!!

Angelika Bock

So much fun - thank you so much! Yes, it helps to make it another week...

Ginia (gin-ya)

So fun getting blasts from the past!! Thank you, Kathy, for sharing treasures like this. :)

Gail R.

Thank you, Kathy. Fun to see what changes and what doesn’t over time!

Shirley Patton

Thanks a lot Kathy! I can relate to having a learning curve with new technology. Yipes!

Karen & Lauren

Did not expect to hear Suwannee River. (Side note fun fact - was crossing it one time with some friends who sang the first line, and I was the only one who kept going, despite being the youngest. Lol. Not a well known song , even by Floridians.)

Annette Corrado

Thanks for sharing this beautiful treasure with us!

Celia

This is the best blast from the past. Geoff holding back his giggles definitely got me giggling.

Azrielen

OK so 1) this is amazing and thank you for letting us enjoy this amazingness. I am in love with their little hand chime instruments. And 2) I smell an idea for a clone video, if Geoff ever wants to return to his barbershop roots.

Carol Franklin

Thank you Kathy that was such fun 🤣🥰

Mikki Fullerton

A little more fun on a computer monitor, all you can do is turn yourself! 🤣

Manasi Kane

🤣 That’s how you level up ! Challenge yourself - Start on the phone , move on to a laptop , then a PC, then a TV.🤣

Cécile Roussey

Thank you very much Kathy for this sharing of the past which is fun ^^ <3

Martina Kraft

Thanks a lot Kathy. This was great fun 🥰

Helen D

Very Dapper. Thank you for all your hard work. I am sure the next video will be worth the wait. :)

Susana

Thank you 😊! It's so nice to see this part of your lives. And Geoff always says he can't dance, and here he did quite well ☺️. Big hug for both of you ❤️

Diane Holland

Wow! Geoff, how long did it take you to learn how to tap dance? You have got some moves, and you can play the chimes. Thanks, Kathy, for sharing this memory. I love seeing Geoff in his humble beginnings.

J.L.

Thanks for sharing! That's so cool, hope to see more like this! =^,^=

Utahjoey

I want to say something wonderful to Geoff but I can't stop laughing. I'll try later.

Doyne

Thanks, Kathy! This is fun!

Karen Campbell

Thanks Kathy, that was so much fun 😀

Deb Dodson

What great timing! My husband's barbershop group had their annual concert yesterday - I'm going to share this with him!

Jen A AKA Dravengal

That was so much fun! I have a friend who was in Dapper Dan school with you, Geoff! His first name was Mike, Irish last name starting with Mc, from Goleta, ca. His Barbershop Quartet sang with Dick Van Dyke. They even showed up on an episode of Diagnosis Murder. 💛

Lynda Rood

Thank you Kathy, this is terrific.

Sandy Mrotek

I have always loved barbershop anyway and this was such a perfect thing to watch. When I was a kid my dad sang barbershop and it was so much fun going to watch all the different groups. This group did great. Thank you for sharing this.

Sharon Leath

Well Kathy, it's obvious why you fell in love with your ever so cute husband. Thanks for your adorable memory!

L. Randolph Lee

delightful. How long were you a Dapper Dan?

Barbara Binney

This is so adorable. Thank you ever so much for sharing, Kathy.

Barbara Binney

In my mind, shorthaired Geoff and longhaired Geoff are 2 completely different people. For some reason, my brain just can't reconcile the fact that they're both the same person.

Lynn M

That was so cute, thanks for sharing Kathy

Rev Jessie

Thank you so much for sharing this with us. Mr. Castellucci speaks so fondly of his time with the Dapper Dans so it is nice to see a performance from that time.

Janis M Carney

Thank you, Kathy. Just so sweet. And Geoff can tap! . . a little.

Agnes EvaR

Thanks for sharing this, Kathy! I loved seeing a glimpse of the old days. But why did I find myself expecting a full octave slide down from Geoff at the end? 😄

Eileen Parkman

Thank you, Kathy. This is just such a treat! And you did a pretty good job, especially as it was your first time with the iPhone. Heck, I’ve had mine for years and can barely take a simple snapshot. LOL

Ireland Jeppesen

He is soooo funny! I would love to meet him! God bless everyone!!!!

Rachel P.

Wait a minute....Geoff can tap dance, too?

Rahel

Thank you so much Kathy! For sharing this Video! 🥰

Loves to Dive

Thank you Kathy for sharing this. I have been searching the internet ever since I found out he was in the Dapper Dans and have never been able to find anything with him in it. Depending on what month that was, there is a real good chance I saw him. I've been going to WDW since 1983 and was there in 2010. To this day, if I hear the Dapper Dans, no matter where I am in the park I'll rush over to watch. Wasn't he just the cutest thing?

Tracie Schlaak

Who said Geoff can’t do choreography. Next video should have some tap dancing. This really brought a smile to my face. How can barbershop music not do that? Thanks for sharing!!

Gard

Wow!!!🤣

Ro Ho

Have always loved Barbershop! Thanks for sharing more of Geoff's talents with us!🥰🤗

Lori Chaslot

Cool 😎 The Dapper Geoffs should make a video …

Patricia Schuman

Thanks so much, I'm thrilled we got to see and hear this. But I gotta tell you, Geoff, it's YOUR fault that I can no longer hear that iconic opening to Mr. Sandman without expecting to hear it followed by Mele Kalikimaka!

Marie Galaxy

How absolutely delightful was that? And…for once, he wasn’t the one wearing pink!!! 😁

Daniel Anderson

Excited for the new video! Geoff really has come a long way. Thanks for the update and hope everything does go according to plan!

David Wanderer

oh, that's fun! We used to play angklung in primary school every year as part of multicultural holidays, often with (edit: Very Patient) gamelan musicians, and I think I even still have a bamboo set somewhere! so much harder than they look! but so simple and fun!

Zoie McIntyre

That was absolutely awesome and your camera work was pretty good back in the day ;) At least everyone was always in focus!!!! Thank you so much for sharing this - so much fun! Can't wait to see the upcoming video :) Have a great week.

Stacey V.

Barbara, and Iiona you not alone. His face seems to change shape depending on how his hair is cut. He reminds me of my friend Earl after he came out of the Navy. He had this cute smile that made all the girls giggle because he was a nice looking guy. He would have that little mischiefus twinkle in his eyes that he would get if he was going to play a prank on someone or he was himself enamored of a beautiful lady. When Geoff's hair is longer he has that leading man quality from a novel, and when it's pulled back with the baseball cap he reminds me of my friend's kid brother. Still nice looking but quite a bit younger than us.

Stacey V.

Thank you Kathy for bringing this out for us to see. He definitely was cute then. No wonder you married him. He does look like he is going burst out laughing from some inside joke.

Jennifer L. Cramp

This was awesome! His smile is contagious. They are soooo good and you can't mistake Geoff's distinctively amazing voice. Thank you so much Kathy for sharing!!! 🫶💜

Åse M Bruun Lagnestål

Thank you, Kathy! This was exactly what I needed. That joy and talent spread good vibes all the way over here. 🥰 //Åse

Amanda Yarbro

What a cool throwback! Kathy, I've done way worse recently while using my phone's camera! I don't think I've seen those instruments before. So thanks to David Wanderer I know what they are.

David Wanderer

Someone posted a link on the Discord that says that they're an American version made in metal, called organ chimes. Which makes sense I guess. I will still always think of them as angklung though

Hunter

Thanks Kathy - for the video and the good neck stretches in between as well :)

Crisstina Joubert

Thank you, I really enjoyed that lovely video of the Dapper Dans, and you did a great job! I always love your stickers/emoji’s, too😍🥰

Janet Wright

There is some footage out there of him as the singing train conductors and Earl is there too. If I can find the link I’ll come back and post it.

Blue Raven

Aww - so young, and so old at the same time... 😄 Thanks for this peek into the past, Kathy. You always spoil us 💙

PetraH

Thanks so much Kathy for sharing this video. Super nice glimpse in the past. I guess this made you smile as well, when you decide to share with us. Made me smile for sure. Wishing everybody a lovely day :-)

Kelli Arrington

It’s GREAT! So glad you shared this. I always enjoyed the Dapper Dan’s both at Disney Land and Disney World.

Del Rhea Watson

Super grateful to be able to view this! I went down a rabbit hole one night of old YouTube stuff and was able to find several of the Beetlejuice review, but nothing Disney! Thank you so much for sharing with us!😻

KorKnot

This is very appreciated, Kathy. 💚 Singing, dancing, & playing an instrument...Geoff's got quite a talent list. 😊

Tonia Richardson

How sweet! Gosh, 2010 doesn't seem like that long ago! I enjoyed this, especially the unique, creative camera work, haha! Thanks, Kathy! Bless up, everyone.

Zeleste Rosaline Zafina Søndergaard

Thank you so much Kathy.🥰 It is always amazing and enjoyable to watch Geoff dance and sing. ‘Home movies’ are rarely good quality but this was absolutely fantastic with a creative twist. I was smiling from start to finish.

Eileen Parkman

I've always wondered if the Deagan Organ Chimes are heavy.

Loves to Dive

Thanks Debs. After I watched those I found where you got them and went down that rabbit hole of the whole show.

Mark Armstrong

Long haired Geoff couldn't have made that work, and we all forgive the camera work, just say it was a Monday ; )

Marie DesJardin

TAP DANCING?!?!???! *floats face-downward down the Suwannee River*

Amanda Hovendon

You don’t know how much joy this just brought me😍😍😍

Gary Henderson

We were not heretofore AWARE, Kathy, that Geoff could tapdance. We need more tap.

Angela Scheiber

He definitely is still cute, but I agree with everything else

Druid

The Dapper Dans were one of my favorite parts of Disneyland (I’m from the other coast… sssorry), so this brought me SO much joy… thank you for sharing! Geoff clearly was a wonderful Dan! 👏🏼👏🏼

Marna Brown

I can't believe how young he looks! Like 15ish! What a cutie. I vote for more tap!! 💕

Suzann Harris

Well, Kathy! Thank you for this adorable clip! What a doll, your Geoff is! And he TAPS!

Dale Freeman

Geoff looks kinda embarrassed through the whole thing.

LindaV

Hey Geoff, that could have been a tad better IF you could teach that guy who was constantly off key! 🤭. I did hear your lovely bass tho, and that made it all worth while.
