Poke around and let me know which one catches your eye the MOST. Try to think of yourself as someone who hasn't seen the video yet and is looking for cat videos or elbow waxing tutorials when this image pops across your feed... Do you click? Hmmmmmm....

Don't let me down!

Barely had to think about it. #2 for the win. People who know you a bit will wonder about it, and people who are just scrolling by will be intrigued by the 70s vibe and the car. It's a really dynamic, vibrant shot that stands out from other thumbnails on the YouTubes.

Francha

With the car looks like a car ad

Amber

I really love number 3, but 2 is also good

Chris Benefield

I like 3 but you gotta have both stars, so #2.

Manasi Kane

1 because I think closeups do better in a tiny thumbnail but 2 would be my second choice because of the composition (and Tommy) ❤️ Also , if I’m looking at elbow waxing tutorials I’ll be more likely to click on a thumbnail that has exposed elbows 🤣

Sue Armstrong

I chose #2, but it's really a coin toss between that and #1.

Susan Aliffi aka fifi

Don’t see an “all of the above”…I think I’ll write that in.

Édua Elster

If you can use a dog for a tumbnail, always use a dog.

Mikki Fullerton

I'd click on either the close up or Tommy and the Pontiac. I might not click on "looking back" as it's somewhat washed out for a thumbnail and when it's thumbnail sized I can't tell if that's intentional for the effect or just a lower quality effort so I might skip it. I think the Pontiac and that full-blown 70s look (I'm *still* chuckling at that, btw) is the most eye-catching for me, but I do love faces especially with good eye visibility so either is fine. The Pontiac does give away the ending, but hey, worth it if it gets more clicks, I'd imagine.

Eileen Parkman

While I like #2, I think it would suffer in clarity in a tiny phone screen thumbnail because it is “busy,” whereas #1 is eye catching and clear, even tiny

Debs Badger

Haven't you learned? We always let you down on these. 🤣🤣🤣

Lori Chaslot

Asking me who my favourite child is would be easier to answer ❤️

Scott Pearce

Can we see one with just Tommy? :)

Bill

I love dogs but I had one named King so I went with something different

C. McClean

Definately 1. Looks like a king of the road to me.

Mikki Fullerton

Also, if I'm looking for elbow waxing I might go "look behind" as it's the only one showing elbows. However, waxing elbows was so last year, everybody is doing earlobes now.

Miran Tideturner

After trying to keep the surprise surprising backfired spectacularly for RoF thumbnails, I'm gonna go with Tommy. Because the internet was made for cats and dogs. Who'll scroll past a cute doggo?

Talbot

Argh, I've changed my mind 8 times but I finally landed on #2. We have a beautiful car, dog, and cowboy so...there you go.

Jordi S

#1 or #2. I like #2 best but it would be smaller on a phone or computer screen. It is crisp and contrasty and easy to read and the title doesn't fade into the background. The 70's clothing with the car might get peeps to click on it. #1 has the plus of a bigger face. I'm not sure if a clearer face or an overall image will get more scrolling clicks. #3 is washed out and the title blends into the background.

Delila Hall

I absolutely love dogs and I also love old cars. Wish I had a muscle car, but if I did, I probably wouldn't have a license and be able to drive it.

Mark Armstrong

I was half expecting a trailer house in the background and Geoff doing a little soft shoe dance.

Martina Kraft

Definitely number two. All dog lovers will click

Amy Murray

You have to display the star of the video, of course! We need more Tommy!

Ilona Dever

I think #1 suits the song and I always like Geoff close ups!

Jaezrar

Two, definitely two! And it looks like I am not alone in this 😹

Sarah Borzelli

Well...I can only see your elbow in #3 if I were looking for elbow waxing tutorials WHICH I DON'T! I find the cowboy, dog and car very intriguing...I would click

Lynn M

I went with number two. Tommy, the car, and cowboy Geoff. Also it has the most color contrast of all three.

Jeanette Pencz

Number two 😁 A handsome guy with a cool car and a cute doggie 🐶👏👏😍

Tabitha Chonka-Michaud

Not gonna lie... I see a classic car AND a handsome pup?? Oh yeah, I'm clicking that link. 😆

J.L.

Hear, hear. Best suited for the song.

Ilona Dever

Number 1 - just imagine how excited viewers will be when they see Tommy without a hint that he's going to be there. Same with the jacket and the car....

Marie DesJardin

1 and 2 are both fabulous. #3 is great expression, but washed out

Beth Walsh

Gotta give Tommy his time to shine! Don't want to hurt his feelings

Beth Walsh

Ah true, but many will also be excited for the tank top without the hint it will be there.....

Spots Knight (I never use my real name online)

#1 is a close second, because the lyrics are basically about the hobo life style and not having the car is more true to the hobo vibe. But just based on the title of the song, #2 is just more appealing and likely to get clicks. (no to mention that everyone loves a pup)

Huldra Draco

I do love the car and Tommy picture the most, but when it comes to what immediately draws my attention the most at a quick glance, it's the closeup.

Nathan Wahl

In fact no Hobo like that would be expected own a car, much less one like that. So the top picture. The other two are out of character. . Interestingly I actually met the REAL King of the Hobos, Steam Train Maury (Maurice W. Graham) back in 1983. He wasn't on the road at the time, he was spending a few years at home with his wife, pouring concrete. What an interesting and colorful character, known by thousands all over the country. RM based this song's character around Steam Train's life when he was on the road (the vast majority of the time.). GREAT JOB, my dad's favorite, and one of my most fond memories with him! This made me very happy!

Alison Hadley

As someone who Actually hasn't seen it yet (fixing that soon!) Number one definitely draws my attention the most. I like the close up and I like the balance! The lighting is pretty and your hair looks great. :)

Nathan Wahl

Interesting tidbit: Graham always would put a maple leaf in all the concrete he ever helped pour, leaving an impression of it. When the forms came off he would etch his initials next to it. I could still show you where he left his mark at the power plant I worked at to this day. Nobody there now knows this story. 🍂

Silv E

The closeup, because your face is so bland and old I can't look away. ;) Actually, I noticed that you ended up changing the thumbnails for a couple recent vids to ones where you are closer to the camera, and it did seem to boost your views (in my vidIQ graph anyway)... so why not start there this time?

Nathan Wahl

In fact I guess now that you folks are the only ones in the world that know it!!!!

Nathan Wahl

Yep, not a lot of Hobos had nice cars! Or much of anything else, for that matter.

Silv E

Also, the logo keeps making my brain go "The land where you can't change lanes... the land where large, fuzzy dice still hang proudly..." XD (Not a criticism, just curious if that was deliberate!) Also also: If I were looking for cat videos I would click on all of them, because you look like a cool cat who knows where it's at. Now, I could be wrong, but you LOOK like you do!

Nathan Wahl

This let's tommy still be a surprise guest #3

Happy Leaf

#1 is my choice. It's simple and it would catch my attention. #2 has way too much visual information for a thumbnail. (Though it is my favorite picture.) #3 is washed out and who cares about a big old car?

Blue Raven

My favorite is the first one. The guy feels very relatable, and it makes me curious — like, why does he look a little worried? What’s his story? It makes me want to click and listen. The second one is actually my least favorite (even though I love the dog 😄). Here, the guy looks like a “smart ass,” so I’d probably only click for the dog… if I’d click at all 😉 The third one has kind of a road-trip / teenage-adventure vibe — very “Look what I found!” — which is fun, but it doesn’t spark the same curiosity in me as the first one (probably because I’m old like a dusty trail 😅). So I’d go with #1. Just my honest thoughts 💙

Scott Boa

Middle. Thomas earned it.

Helen D

The one with Tommy!

Eliz Brown

Car is luxe! Tommy is 🔥

Cécile Roussey

I vote for the two, with Tommy etc... because I think it summarizes the song well ;-)

LaDonna Hickey

I really like #1 'cuz you're just so dang good looking, but I had to vote for #3 only because we are a PONTIAC family! We've owned 5 Bonnevilles (newer than this one) 3 G8's, and have 2- 1967 GTO's-one convertible and one hardtop, both completely resotored & beautiful, plus my husband's "project", a 1966 GTO being turned into a drag car...not [\pretty but loud and FAST!

Karin Wolf

Number ONE - for sure. Looks damn sexy and makes curious about the story behind that face...🤭

Susana

I like the first and the second, the first makes me think of a man who is thinking, trying to decide something, worried. / But if we really think of The king of the Road, the second one shows a man who feels being a real king (car, clothes, dog, hat). Although I voted the first one, I guess the second one is the pic it will be most voted, (maybe because Tommy is the real king? Lol! )

Happy Leaf

Okay, I answered my own question on #3. I can see a male cousin clicking on it, and he wouldn't click on 1 or 2. It does have a sense of unexpected happy adventure about it. Though it is still washed out. If you could "unwash" you a bit then the rest of the image (car and title) might look like an enticing dream.

Christine

No 2 really shows the unexpected twist to the song.

Barbara Binney

Even though it's not really my favorite, I picked #3. #2 is actually my favorite. That beautiful blue sky and adorable doggy just really catch your eye (and let's face it- Tommy's really the star of the video). However, you yourself look like a used car salesman from Texas. Your facial expression in #1 makes it look like there's some sort of trouble brewing. That's why I went with #3.

Katherine Powell

I feel like this is the most difficult thumbnail poll ever. I think Tommy pulls it over the top for me, though. And what kind of monster would not click on a thumb nail with such a good boy in it?

Maria Rydström

I vote for number 1. Like the (cold) wind in your hair in that one.Tommy can be a happy surprise later on🥰

Pickle Sandwich

First one. The look of a very cold Geoff who wants a giant mug of cocoa.

Marie Galaxy

This was the hardest choice ever! I liked each one immensely. You are just so attractive. I voted for number 3 though because I find it the most intriguing.

Shirley B Karr

They're all good. I picked the one with Tommy because a friend has outsold me at every event we've been at, and her consistent best seller is her book with a dog on the cover. I'm definitely putting the hero's dog on the cover of my next book. Second choice is the close-up. I love the car but not the sun flare in #3.

Manasi Kane

Also, just saying - it’s a tad difficult to think of myself as someone that has not seen the video , having seen the video 37 times since you premiered it 🤣

ChazyUK

Of course most of us went with number two lol 😂 it’s got Tommy in it, your co star ⭐ 😊

ChazyUK

Although I really like them all 😊

Tracy Rowe

Honestly, I like them all, but I have to go with number 2 Something about the hat and sunglasses and a cute little puppy. Ok, not so little but very cute.

Karen Grace

As much as I like how you look in a tank top I went for #2. The brighter, more vivid colors give it more eye appeal. The other two have almost a washed out feel compared to #2.

Crisstina Joubert

Love them all, but Thumb 2 stands out and showcases the King, his faithful friend and his epic carriage! ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

Joyce Miller

We're spoiled for choice! I might have chosen #3 if it weren't so washed out. . . Having said that, can I get a signed copy of #1??? I'll show myself out.

Rachel P.

If I were scrolling for elbow waxing tutorials, I'd choose the one with Tommy, except people not familiar with your no-genre genre might see it and think it's "too country" and not click on it to listen. The one with the car is good, but I agree with Joyce Miller, it's a little washed out/blurry, or at least it seems that way to me. So, that leaves #1. Mainly because it's clear but also because of Kathy's thirst-trap wardrobe selection. LOL!

Barbara Shuman

This was tough! I could've gone with #1 or #2, but then #2 has you looking like a million bucks, the gorgeous Tommy and that great car. I succumbed to #2.

Sammi Owens

I also would love a signed poster of thumbnail 1!! Love it!

Shellee Roe

While I love Tommy, I don't think it quite captures the essence of king of the road. #1 seems to be more of an action shot and more interesting to me. #2 is too static, but great for a calendar. #3 is just too bright overall.

ANITA M WRIGHT

Thumb @1s awesome. Would; love a signed copy of one! So very awesome!

David Wanderer

I actually prefer the one where you're wearing a jacket :-) I think the visibility of the text is best on #1 though, and I think the imagery is best in #3

PetraH

I would click on all, haha. But I am not the elbow waxing scrolling audience. So, hmhm…. I guess 1 or 2. I think 1 is the best, but voted for 2. I am sure the elbow waxing fans, would click if they see Tommy :-). I hope we are right this time, and you do not need to change the thumbnail after the video is released :-)

Marna Brown

I won! I won! Hot dayum, I never win anything! Oh yeah! A goodlookin' man, his dawg and a fantastic convertable. King of the Road!

Miran Tideturner

...we got it wrong again, didn't we? Maybe you should let Tommy pick next time.

Ireland Jeppesen

Geoff I can't believe you made me pick! No sane person can!!!
