HEY THERE!

As, we're all new here (hello again, hello, hi, nice to meet you, welcome, lovely to see you), I'm reaching out to see if, in the reward tiers, there's something you'd like to see that isn't there just yet.

The reason I ask is two-fold: First, I want to make sure I'm delivering perks you actually enjoy, and secondly, the top tier is already sold-out (which is fantastic, but I wasn't expecting at all). Because of this,  I'm considering add a tier in between the $20 and $45 tiers. I have a few perk ideas of my own, but If you've got any perk-type-thoughts on the subject, I'd be happy to hear them.

Thanks!

Tag, you're it.

I'm with you Debs!

Zara (ZAYRAY!)

HE STARTED IT... don’t look at me!

Cole Fountain

Maybe a perk to show behind the scenes of the arrangement/planning of a certain song. Would love to see the thought process behind the ideas of your great arrangements.

Debs Badger

Really not the point of his post, Zee. Focus. 🤣🤣🤣

Mitsu Tsurugi

Exactly this. I'm surprised it isn't there already.

Rebekah Galy-Davis

Agree with the BTS, maybe signed photos or something? I’m personally ecstatic with what I’m getting on my tier 🤩 Not helpful, tho...sorry

Bradford A Wallick

A chance (kinda lottery-style) at having a video cameo in one of your videos. Considering what the perks are already, it's hard to come up with much. Which is a happy thing! 😁

Mostly just want to support you, but maybe a pin? A signed photo?

Inge (Inch)🎨📏

Yes, a signed photo and/or a personal note! Doesn't have to be a monthly thing.. twice a year maybe?

Ebel Knebel

BTS. Maybe commentary on videos about arranging and producing each song.

Tra Mason

I like the idea of bts and maybe personalized signed merch perhaps?

Uta von Rad

Sheet music pleeeeeeeeeaze :-)

Uta von Rad

BTW: your youtube videos have a link that should lead me to the matching sheet music. But that shop (while selling other cool sheet music from you) doesn't have the matching songs... (Bare necessities or blackbirg)

Stacey Post

Hmmm. Well, my favorite podcast-producing company has a tiered membership system, and for a certain tier and above, they offer live streaming chat hangouts periodically with one of their hosts. If your schedule allows, you could offer a perk of hanging out with you once a month or something like that.

Jade Butcher

BTS stuff or a pin/signed poster maybe

I'm not sure how much interest there would be, but I like actually downloading permanent copies of videos to put in my iTunes library and watch on my TV and stereo. It's easier than youtube because they're organized consistently in my library, and I can create and use playlists more easily, and sometimes youtube videos get taken down for various reasons. So a couple artists I support offer downloads of the actual mp4 files. Sometimes there's even a preview version before it's fully mixed and/or without the post-video talk (I like post-video talk on youtube, but it's nice to have just the song for use with the stereo). And sometimes they're higher quality than you see on youtube. So that's an idea. I realize it's a bit of a hassle, though, to find a good platform for distributing the downloads (like Google Drive, but that has space limits before you have to pay monthly fees), so if others aren't interested, it might not be worth it for you.

A lot of us learn a lot from your tutorial videos! Maybe you could let us ask for more tutorials or we could ask for feedback on arrangements / general music things?

Sophie Llewellyn Smith

I'm not surprised the top tier sold out so quickly! People are looking for a connection with you. Personally, I'm not interested in stuff, but (as others have mentioned) in the opportunity to hang out or receive a personal message.

Geoff Castellucci

Yes - i can see where that's a bit misleading. Those links are there in case people are interested in any of the sheet music currently available. I'm only able to upload charts that have been licensed by Sheet Music Plus for sale, so it's a bit of a mixed bag.

Hey Geoff! It'd be super cool to have a Patron Discord, and maybe a $15 tier, some sheet music (But only when there is some.), ringtones, etc. I'm super excited to see where this goes. Thanks for allowing us to come along for the ride.

Jeno

I wish I could afford supporting at that level but the thing I'd be most interested in would be sheet music or even better, separate voice tracks. I'm practicing my bass skills every day and I can't lie - you're a big inspiration. Having those would be a great guideline :) That's something that would probably fit best at the tier you're considering though :)

Cynthia Ross

I like the d/l videos idea, and the ringtones too. A Discord would be nice: I think the basic is free, isn’t it? I’m trying to think of things you don’t have to mail because I know that’s time consuming and costly. But...I like photos. Maybe once a year? The only “don’t have to mail” thing I can come up with that no one else has already mentioned is a shot to choose a song. I know there are considerations we aren’t going to know about - maybe legal/copyright of if the song is arrangeable in a way that works - but maybe one perk could be the Patreon would send you a selection -say, maybe five or so - of songs they’d like to hear you do in hopes you’d find one that fits all needed criteria? That could be a huge PITA for you, but then again, we may turn you on to artists and songs you’d never heard before too. And ya know you’re gonna have to do a challenge coin sooner or later, right? 😁 (Probably much, much later, but I figured I throw that out there.) Eh, the bottom line for me is music. As long as I get at least a semi regular stream of MP3’s, I’m good. Everything else is icing on the cake.

Stacey Post

I wish my husband wouldn't divorce me for supporting at the top tier. Why is the top tier limited, anyway?

Jeno

Makes sense, doesn't it? Takes time for Geoff to do each individiual message. If it were limitless, and thousands would get it (because of course, who wouldn't) then he'd have a full time job of writing postcards :D

Jessie

I hope in the near future the $45.00 tier will be reopened. just, for now, I can only do the lower end since my job is demanding as much as my bills are.

Shari Ann Creamer

BTS stuff, for sure. It's the thing I'm most excited for from VP, other than the actual music. Forgot to include that in the survey.

Sunniva Melhuus

Which tier is the sitting-in-front-of-a-fireplace-at-a-tavern-and-drinking-mulled-wine-and-listening-to-you-tell-stories tier?

Jessie Massey

I kinda like this idea, but wouldn’t a poll be easier. As in, only that tier and above have access to a poll of maybe/could-be ideas that Geoff’s (you’re) thinking of doing and the privileged patrons can vote on the priority ?? Maybe?

Runa Reinert

I was thinking that maybe some newer bass covers woud be awsome to supplement the great bass singers of the 40's and 50's. That something by Cohen, like "Take this waltz". Not many can cover Leonard Cohen, but you cerainly can. He has made so much beautifu music.
