The Masque of the Red Death | Edgar Allan Poe | PREVIEW (Patreon)

Allow me to begin by stating a simple observation: I believe that you all have excellent taste in the macabre. I feel a little like we're remodeling this place into the Deets' house from Beetlejuice. I keep waiting for Otho to show up with Maxie Dean and just as they're getting comfortable on the avante garde decor, they get their faces smooshed into a couple of absurdly large shrimp cocktails. (If you've not seen this film... um... we'll have to rectify that at some near point in our collectively dark futures. It will all make sense, I promise.)
Possessed crustaceans aside, I'd say we're lucky to have each other and to live in a world where a plague like "The Red Death" is only a figment of Poe's imagination because WOAHHHHH... I don't like bleeding from my pores even a little bit, let alone to death. Gross. Can you imagine the dry cleaning bill after having 1000 castle guests ooze out their bodily fluids on to your priceless floor rug? And that rug really tied the room together, too.
I've rambled enough - enjoy "The Masque of the Red Death" by Edgar Allan Poe, narrated by one very terrified bass singer. Draw the curtains, light the wicks of a few ancient candles, investigate your home for unannounced guests dressed like corpse's, and make sure you've paid your undertaker. Sleep well everyone, I'll be hiding under your bed waiting for you...
