...AAAAAAND we're back! 

The whole household spent the weekend and the early part of the week dealing with shall we say... gastric distress... We have our darling son to thank for bringing that little gift home to all of us, and as all thoughtful gifts are, it was the gift that kept right on giving. Feel free to use your imaginations on that one. 

Gross news updates aside, I really do love this song. I bet I can count on one hand the number of you who've actually heard it before, but now that you have it'll be stuck in your head like the friendly little ear worm it is. 

Shout out to Layne for being a PERFECT actor in our little scene together, although, now that I'm thinking about it, I'm not entirely sure he was acting. Leave a snarky comment below and let me know what YOU think.

This had a strange effect on me. When I was little my dad had a bunch of "Disneyland LP" records from his childhood (Including a couple of original Mickey Mouse Club records.) and we used to play them on a little turntable and my dad would always sing along with Thurl. (He was a bass too.) Next month will be the one year anniversary of my dad's passing and hearing this was like getting a hug from the great beyond. Thanks so much for the great memory!

I love it! Layne has the best facial expressions ever! I actually have heard this song before but not by Thurl Ravenscroft. It was also done by a group called The Reinsmen in 1972 which is the version I'm familiar with. My dad was a great fan of all things Western so I have him to thank for knowing the song.

I must say that sometimes the time difference is annoying because I can't take part in the chats (except for these last ones with friendly timing even for us! thank you for this 😊 as someone else have already said). But, after all, waking up in the morning and discovering that during the night you released a new content or even more the brand new cover song is more than a pleasant awakening and a good way to start the day!
