My heart wants the dancing thumbnail, but I think you'd get the most clicks with Dracula...although that kind of gives away a big funny spoiler of the video. As you see all the monsters within a few seconds of the video starting, therefore being less spoiler-y, I'm going to vote with my heart.

I definitely prefer the drill one.. Seeing as thumbnails are shown so small, that eye contact can draw people that have yet to discover your greatness in better I think than the other images would..

The Dracula one is funny, and definitely one of the great moments in a video FULL of them, but it doesn't say "Monster Mash" to me. I'm torn betwixt the other two right now.

The dancing one is the most storytelling but the drill is so creepy! I less prefer Dracula one because it less focuses the eye on the center or golden section. About the font placing, I think this larger bottom centered font on Dracula and dancing images is more thumbnail-y. Therefore, my choice is the third, dancing image.

While I love all of them, the Dracula thumbnail being my favorite, I voted for the drill. I personally loved being surprised by the 3 monster Geoffs when I first watched it 😊💕

I voted for Dracula. The drill picture would be a classic thumbnail, but it didn't "speak" to me somehow. The dancing one shows what to expect, but I like when I regognize the artist immediately. And on the phone app the picture would be pretty small. The Dracula picture would grab my attention because I can see that it's you and it's funny and made me grin. Stuff like that gets me curious. And you know that there will be a surprise or something special without giving it all away like the dancing picture.

I’m torn between the first and the third. I voted the first one, but I wonder if it would be even better if you were just a little bit more to the right in that picture - could perhaps decrease the distance between you and the table? But I like all of them! Edit: I need to refrain from expressing opinions about pictures when I've only seen them on my small phone. I've just checked them out on my computer and it looks perfect the way it is!

The Dracula one and the Dancing one kind of spoils what’s in the video. You want the viewers (especially first time viewers) to be surprised. That’s how I feel 🤷‍♀️

I voted for #1 because I prefer only 1 Geoff in the thumbnail. Multiple Geoffs makes all the Geoffs too small to see clearly, and let's face it, we clearly want to be able to see Geoff clearly. Number 2 (perhaps with a slightly smaller font) wouldn't be too bad, though.

Ohhh, this is a hard choice for sure. They are all great, and agree with others that the font here is great! I am going with the drill simply because while 3 is fine I also like a bit of the surprise, and 2 certainly will probably get the curious clicks, there is something that I can't quite put my finger on that doesn't work for me with it's composition. It's like where my eye gets drawn doesn't feel "right" for what it's going for. Still, it will probably get lots of people who are just curious about what is going on. All that said, none are bad, but for me, personally, I think the layout and shot of the 1st one is the best for this.

I think he cropped that one that way to make sure Kathy wasn't visible, which is a good plan, in my opinion.

I like the drill thumbnail best because its simplicity. The dancing one is too busy for a thumbnail and also spoils the surprise of the three monsters. I do like the Dracula thumbnail; again, I thought it spoiled the surprise.

Argh! All are so good! I have a high love and respect for Dracula because to see him reprise is awesome. Glad you hired him back! 😂 The dancing one would give away the surprise. So no-no for that one. And as for the drill, if you want people to see your sanity draining away with that project, go for it! 👌

This comment has me rethinking my original vote/gut reaction. Having the center of the Dracula shot be more blank is a potential problem for seeing the thumbnail on the small screen.

I'm with the others on the drill; eye contact is key, clearer Geoff (your lovely physog is a selling point ;-)), keeps the monsters in reserve, the text obscures the picture in the others, and the drill is creepy enough to intrigue. Maybe set the title on 2 lines to increase size?

My original gut reaction was for #2, but the more I think about it the better I like #1. I have put in a vote for either of those. As much as I love the Monster Geoff-tet, I think #3 will be too hard to see as a thumbnail and not be as engaging, plus it reduces the suspense of the video reveal.

This was a tough one. I love them all & I see others listing great reasons for each choice so I just went with my first gut reaction, Dracula. Honestly, I think that was my favorite part of the entire video. The look on scientist Geoff's face was just priceless. 🤣

I agree with some of the people - #1 is the best just because you look the best in it. #2 is a little creepy because you look that way on the right side of the picture so if you wanted one that depicts more Halloween then that would be the one and #3 is good but with all of you it is a little busy sooooooooo for me it is #1. Also I love this song and you did a fantastic job of doing it. Thank you so much.

I went with the first one, because it is the simplest and doesn't give away too much. Dracula was great fun, but it is problematic since the eye has no clear path to travel, no focal point. You just bounce from one face to the other and it is less pleasing to the eye to do that: our subconscious loves focal points and dynamic lines! A bit of the same problem with the third pic, too much going on there and it gives too much away.

I’m going for 1 I think 2 is genuinely scary! & 3 shows all the characters, think it’s better to leave the other Geoffs as a surprise . Love the song can’t wait to see it out there

All are so fun! But last time I was totally wrong not to pick the single Geoff picture (which I now totally love and see was the right choice!), so I'm not making that mistake again. I made the three pictures as small as possible and chose drill-Geoff as the one that draws the eye. Second choice is dracula Geoff though that one gets hard to see as the image gets very small (it is super fun though!). Dancing Geoff's I picked last since they are very hard to see, and hard to tell who they are, when the image is very small.

TBH the disembodied hand in the announcement thumbnail kinda caught my attention. That and the Dr Frankenstein vibe made me wonder just what the heck was going to happen in the video :D Besides, with all Kathy's off-screen input, it's good to celebrate her on-screen appearance...

#1gets my vote. A single Geoff with the drill and that mischievous look on his face. Then there's the fun factor of the reactions from the reactors when the other Geoffs join in with their perfect harmonies and choreography.

That's a great idea! The drill image with 1.5 times larger font placed in two lines. There is exactly enough space for this.

Yes, I agree, @Hugmany Foemen, it was quite intriguing - there were many comments about that hand and the lace... :-). I'm not sure that people analyze the thumbnail the way they do a teaser, though? But surely Kathy deserves much celebration and it may not be bad to show a part of her in the thumbnail after all.

I also think, and I’m just throwing this out there, that you should be in the center and have the words Monster and then Mash on either side of your head OR at the bottom of the picture and have the picture zoomed in on yourself a little bit and maybe make the font just a tad darker.

I have a little bit of graphic design training, and I would go with #1, but you have a lot of *dead* space (bwahaha) in the lower right quadrant... I would suggest moving the word Mash under the word Monster and adjusting things around.... either centering the words in the empty right side, and/or zooming in on yourself to fill up more of the space. #2 is funny but I think it spoils a fun moment in the song, and #3 is not going to reduce well (all the figures will be too small to really see them).

I also think the one with the drill would be the best. It doesn't reveal much so people will not know what to expect. As for the text, it would look better in 2 lines and somewhere in the middle, so you don't have so much empty space next to you.
