*takes off socks preemptively* HA! What's the sock-singeing dragon have to say about that huh? No real clear winner for me this time around; I think I prefer the group shot.. Neither one is really jumping out at me though.. I'm voting for the group one as the solo one is too predictable, there's a dime a dozen already looking like that and the negative space feels too empty for me. Good that Geoff #4 has his foot up on the base of the throne, makes for some dynamic in the shot, but I do agree if it's just cropped on the right a liiittle tighter for it to be more centered, that'd be a great idea.

That is a tough one for me .. I would go with the group shot, but the font doesn't feel quite right, so I'll go for the Solo shot. Hoping the fire breathing dragons don't catch me!!

I agree with several commenters above that Leather Geoff (Leff?), between the costuming and the stance, puts that thumbnail ahead of the solo shot. I also agree that a tiny bit of cropping would balance the picture more.

I'm going with the solo shot, but I agree a zoomed in version might be even better. Note to self: Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons... For you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup.

So, here's an opinion definitely not asked for...I agree that there's something kind of 'unbalanced' looking about the group shot. Would you consider making it just a group of three, cutting out the left 'armor' guy: 1) It will really looked balanced, especially with the wall and banners as they are positioned, 2) Anyone familiar with your work will see it and think "I'm SURE there has to be at least one more Geoff they're not showing, I have to watch the video 3) Anyone not familiar with your work will see a really neat looking GOT throne and assortment of spectacularly dressed medieval guys and want to watch the video, 4) I think those are the three best costume choices, the armor is somehow just not having the same impact. I voted for the solo pic if these are the only options.

I like the group better (yeah ok, hunks in leather are hot, sue me 😁). it's too much of a spoiler right away though, even if I also agree that hunks in leather 🤣 would get more clicks for obvious reasons (like, hunks in leather? 😄). voting for solo, if you don't get enough clicks, you can always switch to hunks in leather 😉 later. solo would look better zoomed in more as folks have already mentioned 🙃

This time it is an extremely difficult choice. I don't really want to go without Leather -Geoff, but the group photo already reveals too much.

Its a close call between them for me, but i prefer the facial expressions better in the group one. Now ppl aint gonna look that close on a thumbnail, i know lol. And tbh i dont think you can go wrong here, all you's looking good 👍 A good hour later I find myself favouring the solo shot more, perhaps a bit more zoomed in.. Im gonna stop before that dragon shoots for my kneecaps 🐉👀 May i kindly ask you to Please add more space between the words in the text tho, it all blurre into one big word in both thumbnail's for me.

I chose group because it looks more dynamic, but I haven’t seen the show so I’m not sure if the solo shot makes more sense with the canon of the show/story. ETA: Humbly suggest a squidge more space between words.

Also, do not meddle in the affairs of the Lannisters - for similar reasons. Group or solo, the expressions on your face are absolutely lethal in this video, I think they should be zoomed in to be seen better.

Between these 2 choices I pick the first one. I like the single person on a centered throne better because it's more of a visual focus, especially for a thumbnail that is going to be so small as to lose most details. However, you've said before that thumbnails do better when they are of faces, so instead I would change your thumbnail so that it includes only from the knees up to the top of the throne. I would think it would still be instantly recognizable, but a bit more focused on the face and leave the side banners to be revealed in the video itself. Also, if it were me I'd use a picture of the clone of Jaime sitting on the throne instead of Tywin. While Tywin is seen first in the video, I would bet money on the fact Jaime's outfit would get a higher click-through rate. I absolutely LOVE the font's shading effect though, and the fact the title is across the bottom so your eyes can be drawn to the person first, that is perfect!

Solo. Tywin Lannister does not share spotlights. Though if you've got a good solo shot of the Jaime costume... Well. The look is popular. And it'd satisfy the handful of folks who know the story of how he earned that Kingslayer moniker (hi, I'm a huge Westeros lore nerd, don't mind me).

I want to say group, because leather clad Geoff looks awesome with that stance and a wonderfully intimidating expression, but it does seem a little unbalanced. So I'm going to vote for solo Geoff though a bit tighter, then there will be some excitement as the Geoffettes walk in. Love the font but it does seem a little squished! 👍💜

In the solo pic you can see the Lanister lions on the banners, which is a plus. If you could increase the space between the words, I believe that would be more visually appealing.

I chose group, but only because I think the leather guy is the best and the solo and group were equally far away. If I really had my choice, I'd say just leather guy on the throne, much closer up, and then more spacing between words for the title.

I'd picked the group shot because I rather prefer the dynamics of it. I shrunk it down in my preview window to get "thumbnail" view and definitely need a teensy bit more spacing between words since you aren't "camel casing" with big caps and small caps. While it is simpler with the single character, when it's a smol image, he kinda blends in with the pair of banners on either side. The group shot "smudges" the banners so the current king stands out more on the throne. (I have not watched the show, but Geoff on the right looks *fine* in the all-leather garb.)

Have to agree with the Solo shot preference, but a bit closer up, like what you get with the embedded YT starting shot, but not *quite* that close in... like 1/2 way in-between those 2.

Of the two options you offered I'd go with the solo, cropped a bit closer so we can see the menacing expression, and a little more spacing between words so they're legible at thumbnail size. But... I'd go with a trio. The leather-clad clone with foot aggressively on the base of the throne is *fans self* very appealing. As is the smirk on the left. It would be balanced if the fourth clone is cropped out. Which is a shame, because his outfit is really cool too and we know the sacrifice of chafed armpits and getting trapped in the gorget to achieve that look. But he's so far from the main light, and in dark brown, he's hard to see in the shadows. It's the first time I've questioned a lighting choice in your videos.

I had to choose solo because having two clones on the left and a single clone on the right gave me a stiff neck as I tilted. But I think a solo shot would work well, perhaps a half-body shot on the throne? While I love the color of the red sash, I think the leather jerkin shot would be more popular.

I like the group, because when I show it to other people they always ask who are the other folks helping him they are usually amazed that all four are the same incredible singer. I’m 75 years old so I am a little old fashion and not quite up to speed with today’s young people, Except my great grandchildren who think I’m funny, lol

My preference is for the group, but whichever you choose, the spacing of the text seems cramped. Not sure if it's due to the font size, the font itself, or just the unavoidable fact that it's a longish title, but the words seems to run into one another.

I prefer the solo shot, however, the kerning on the font makes it look like it says "THERAINS OF CASTAMERE." You might want to take the font point down a little so you can get a bit more space between the words while still fitting within the thumbnail.

All that is missing in the group shot is Geoff as Cercei in a fancy dress looking unamused like Goff when he enters in Way Down. What a shame... Anyways I agree with Shirley on solo, closer and thehardtoreadbecausealmostonewordtitle aka spaceing. Geoff on the throne looks just Mwah!

The one - king is perfect. But I agree you should do something with the spacing, the possible options - to decrease the text margins on the left and right, to get down with the font size (I less like it) and to make it two rows: "The rains" and "of Castamere". I like the last one because you can even increase the font size here.

One problem with having a solo shot but zoomed in so it’s knees up including the throne - that’s quite similar to a lot of videos out there, including one being put out in the near future by another singer. Is it good to have a similar shot to other artists…? Or is it better to stand out…? 🤔
