It is a proverbial RSVP as far as I know ;) Nothing to worry about, I'm sure :) There is no place to legitimately RSVP for now. This is something new he's doing for sure, so I am not quite sure what exactly he meant by the invite, but I'm sure if there will be something to attend (virtually), he'll post those necessary details soon. He did say evening after all and it is still early :) He sure loves to tease, this one ;)

There is this awful thing going on in youtube where youtubers put up fake videos to say that in some future time there will be a video in this space. They call it a premiere announcement or something. Just a little way for a youtuber I am stupid enough to follow to say "Ha ha fooled you fucker". Please, please don't do this. Don't do it here. Don't do it there.

With respect, I disagree - I think the premieres are a fantastic way to build up excitement for the video and it's a great chance to speak to the artist before and during the premiere. Geoff is always at the premiere around 20 minutes before it starts, for instance, so you get a chance to speak with him in the live chat. It's also really good for the artists - gives an extra boost to views right off the bat, which gives it a better chance of hitting YouTube's notoriously fickle algorithm so it has a chance to be seen by more people. If you're not into attending premieres, all you have to do is hit the "notify me" button and it'll tell you when the video is actually posted.
