HEY Y'ALL!

I've been doin hard time around here, but I've just been paroled for good behavior. We'll see how long it lasts...

This is a song I've been wanting to do for quite some time and since I was serving a short prison sentence for um... crimes of passion... what better moment to film "Folsom Prison Blues" than when I'm actually IN the big house. I just had to pay off a few guards and then smuggle in my camera crew. Don't ask me how I did it, some secrets only my undertaker will ever know.

I mention it in the preamble but this vid is JUST ABOUT FINAL. I know of a few little errors that need to be corrected, but for the most part, this is what you'll be seeing next week when it goes public.

As always Thank you all for being here - this is yet another example of the power of patreon, renting out an entire prison is something that I wouldn't have dreamed possible even a year ago, but with your support, I'm now the proud owner of a brand new tramp stamp, an unusually good bottle of toilet wine, and more than a few new pen pals. Oh, and just in case you were wondering, Daryl didn't make it out, he stayed on to be the prison cook. I guess his true passion was haute cuisine - Who knew? Maybe we'll meet again someday...

Enjoy the video and thank you for everything!

I knew it was FPB so exciting!!! Love me some Johnny Cash songs with your bass “flavor” lol

Angie Woollard

Is…is that a PONYTAIL??! I can’t wait to get home to see this video, Geoff!

Liz Munro

3:32 is my FAVOURITE part as my 12 year old son James has currently just started learning how to play a harmonica

Jordi S

Thank you for all the wonderful work you put into these 😊

John Racela II

Amazing! Are you going to name the balcony Geoffs??

Ariaunna Wood

Looks and sounds great to me!!! 🥳 I Would really like to see you do Walking Free by MicahTyler

Lori

Superb! The harmonica was a surprise. Loved it

Jason Cranford

Can I just say you broke the universe with 7 Geoffs!!!!! 😱😂 Amazing job btw, you never seem to fail and always deliver that tasty nectar to the ears.

Tom Peavy

Nicely done. Very cool to see such a minor detail done in the different inmate numbers on the shirt.

Renee A. Butler, LMT

I nominate G-Lucci (Lucky), G-Money, and Bassment as possible nicknames

Kaleigh Henderson

The shirt numbers. I don't think I'll EVER get over the shirt numbers. HOW FREAKING CREATIVE!!! Although Jeff needing glasses instead of Goff caught me a little off guard... pardon the prison pun. Love the song, love the video, LOVE you and your creativity. Good work Geoff (and Jeff, Jeoph, and Daryl)!

Robin Carter

There ought to be a stronger ‘heart’ thingy for excellence

Melissa Struxness

The harmonica. Great touch. 7 of you!!!! Love it. Love how you pretty much stuck to the original. You have a smother voice than Johnny did so it of course sounds very different just because of that alone. I like how mr. harmonica guy rolled his eyes when you said come on ha ha.

Renee A. Butler, LMT

Love the video, and can't wait to see the fans reactions start pouring in after it goes live next week!

Del Rhea Watson

Looooooove this so hard. Such an excellent performance while still keeping the essence of Johnny Cash intact. Kudos!! 😻

AC

You were excited about prison like the "It's friggin bats!" kid. It reminds me of Alcatraz.

Maryse B

I wasn’t sure when I listened to Johnny Cash’s version. But seriously, here... you surprised me. I really like your version. Bravo. You have a lot of talent, be proud. Even if no one had applied. You respected your desire to do this song and you did really well.

María Gabriela

God, I'll be listening to this the whole week. SO GOOD!

Teresa Doran

Like the harmonica and the addition of your glasses (it’s a good look)! Please never cut your hair short (remember Samson’s source of power was in his hair. 😂. As always you never disappoint. It usually takes me watching it several more times just to see everything you put into it. Thanks for sharing your gift with us.

Sue Armstrong

How are Daryl's culinary skills? Did all the clones get your kitchen abilities? Thanks for another great song and video!

Dominique

How did it feel, when the cell door was closing on you?? Even if it was not real I could imagine that at least some thoughts crossed your mind then. How fast did you open that door again?? So many questions from that one scene…. Very haunting!!!! Exceptionally well done! But still……

Karen & Lauren

so was the crime you were charged with committing stealing Kathy's heart?

doug muchow

Another CLASSIC! Well done and Thank You!

Tine

Oh Geoff, this one is SO good! I cannot tell you how excited I am to see you playing harmonica in this one, it is such a great addition. Thank you for including that. I look forward to its return 😉 What a great video as well. I really like how you play out and make the distinction between the different clones, despite their very similar prison outfits. Very clever with the numbers, and the small outfit details really do a lot, as well as your acting and subtleties. I particularly love Jeff in this one. 🤣 Those facial expressions and attitude and of course because he played the harmonica. Those glasses do look great on you. I also really liked you adding more clones towards the end, to switch it up a bit more and add more depth in the background. Very clever! You just had to show off there at the end, didn't ya 😁 I appreciate you doing what you did. Just some subtle changes but it sounds so good. I like the vocal inflections used here, those little cries add so much. I really like that last part where all 4 sing in unison briefly. You didn't alter the track that much but you kept it so versatile and so interesting nontheless. That little run at 4.31🤩🤯 Sounds so good! The track is so wonderfully done, Geoff. I really enjoy your take on this song. Well done! It is currently 2.30 am, so let me get back to you in the next days if I see anything off as that is currently not easy to see, but it already looks so good. Bravo! (that ponytail look with the bit of scruff doesn't look half bad, could be another look for a clone LOL)

Amanda Hovendon

LOVE IT. LOVE IT SO MUCH. The harmonica was a nice touch too. Wow. Skiiiiillzzz

Alyssa Daniels

I love that we’ve become your proof editors now 😂 That last note rumbled through my sternum!! Love the angled POV on the Geoffettes for something new visually + the background clones. Also that harmonica solo sounded amazing! ❤️

Eileen Parkman

Love you applauding yourself in the background LOL Another great song/video! Looking forward to the finished one.

Jacky Friedman

Awesome Geoff. I don't really care for the original cause I don't care for johnny cash. But as always you turn what I don't like into what I love. Thank you so much. Love ya ❤️

Judy Kay

Totally AWESOME!!!!

Gretchen G

First of all, this sounds amazing! Second, those glasses look great on you! Third, I am so impressed with the pushups. I can't even do normal pushups, lol.

Melissa Struxness

I grew up listening to Johnny Cash my parents saw him live back before I was born so they bought all his records. I adore Johnny Cash. Hard for me to like anyone’s version but his however I love this. Just have to think of it as a different voice. Cash had a gravelly raw tone where Geoff is smooth. Main difference

MJ

my mom was right and i am screaming and also you melt my brain again

Melissa Struxness

He’s not he explained it. If you live where it is hot you would pull your hair back too. I die of heat stroke even with my shorter hair

Shirley B Karr

Only one of the background clones applauded? Dude, that was worth a standing ovation.

Melissa Struxness

Oh I Love Johnny Cash but to each his own. I probably am a different generation than you. If you ever get a chance listen to the last song he did called Hurt written by a rock group. It is breathtaking and has close to 300 MILLION views. Yes 300 million views. If you have a heart that song “Hurt” will make you ball your eyes out

Yasmin Goosey

This is fantastic! Love the arrangement and it’s so fun seeing all the Geoff’s prison hobbies! Props to Daryl on the prison cook career path!

Jacky Friedman

Alcatraz is very scary. Their prison doors are electric and slide sideways instead of out like these. Scared the heck out of my mom and I when we went on tour there many years ago. To hear those doors clang open and closed when it's dead silence is heart wrenching. It was an awesome tour.

Samuel Carnegie

That was incredible!! Loved it! Going to add this to my playlist when it releases, and listen to it daily at work!

Laura Müller

Absolutely fantastic!! Whole body goosebumps. Now I'll just have to find a way to get my brain to work again...

Sarah Borzelli

Oh Geoff - you've dropped another amazing cover! It strikes right from the beginning! What clean, great glorious vocals! I love how you kept it close to the original this time - you have a great sense of doing to a song exactly what it needs! The addition of the harmonica is wonderful - another hidden talent of yours! And that little run on whoa after 'Better movin on a little farther down the line' is awesome! I love the video! The location is perfect. The attention to detail with the Geoffettes is spot on! The Jonny Cash book! The numbers referring to the names is genius and I like the different sleeve lengths. Daryl is such a show off haha - but it's impressive! Jeff's expressions! More Geoffs in the background! C'mon and the eye rolling hahahaha!

Katherine Linkous

Wait...how many Jeffs, Geoffs, etc. are there? Were there even more on the second floor?!? Do they have names? 😆😆😆

Filiz E

This was just amazing! As always 😍🥰

Katherine Powell

First watch reaction.... Ponytail Geoff....love it. Geoff, sorry Daryl, doing pushups....love it. Obligatory "come on"....love it. Jeff wearing glasses, his annoyed eyeroll at Geoff, and of course the harmonica playing....love it. 7 Geoffs?!....love it. Now Daryl is doing clapping pushups?....love it. Of course, the performance/arrangement....love it. Now if you'll excuse me, I must watch this several more times.

Tigris Valley Farm

That last Geoff being closed behind the door. Was he in for life or something because he rattled the last prison cellblock apart? Are they only keeping him in metal now? Oh my. I'm tempted to start a petition to free that man. Bless you, Geoff.

Sarah Borzelli

how about Gruff, Gough (as in tough), and Goof

J.L.

Keep singing and those wall will crumble, Geoff, they can not stand against such rumbles. Hopefully that prison was nice and cool! =^,^=

Cindy Smith

The harmonica, those thick Gb1s, AND the gun show? SIR. Honestly, though, this is FANTASTIC. Your instincts to not reinvent the wheel here were spot- on. This absolutely maintains the spirit of the original while still feeling fresh. I love the slower intro (and that little bluesy riff), really giving that feeling of time dragging on, before moving into the more kinetic parts of the song. PERFECT harmonies/BGVs, and the slowdown at the end with those barbershop (?) chords was a great way to end. Lots of nice little bits of acting, too! (Jeff's "hm, all right then" face during the aforementioned riff and of course the eye roll come immediately to mind, but there were plenty of others. 😁) So, so well done! Thank you for giving us the preview!

Christina Dowdican

I LOVE JOHNNY CASH MUSIC played the albums all the time growing up then when they wore out I got them on 8 tracks, then on cds 💿 (didn't care for cassette tapes) now I have them on dvds & digital play lists cos who can find cd players anymore? Geoff yall totally blew this out of the park! it is wonderful, I LOVE IT ( now how do you feel about a boy named Sue, or one piece at a time?? Both are a hoot & funny to boot) THANK Y'ALL SO MUCH!!! 🙃😊

Lois McCray

We all know that Daryl will show up again when you need him. If you arrange it he will come. 😉

Shirley B Karr

Told my husband which song Geoff just did, and he reminded me of the time Johnny Cash impersonated Elvis: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LBAqBMgLgvw and I remembered when Johnny was the host of Saturday Night Live in 1982-ish, Elton John was the musical guest, and they switched costumes. Pink feather boa and all. So the touches of humor here are spot on, even for a cover of the singer known as The Man in Black.

FerretMom

Geoff you are plumbing sonic depths in this one that I don't know I've heard from you before, holy cow my man BRAVO

Ashbii

Loved it. I can’t brain right now my think is melted.

Lady D Richter

I just wanna know what kinda shenanigans you and Layne got into to "happen" to find this perfect location.

Jacky Friedman

I'm not a country music fan. So there are a lot of singers and groups I don't care for. I'm 64 so grew up in his era. I've always been more into pop and classics. Although Geoff and Voiceplay could sing the phone book and I'd love it. Or the most boring brochure 😂.

Celeste Gosling

Your hair is so floofy! Also... such showing off with the push-ups.

Sarah Roberts

Glad I guessed right! Loved it, only wish I saw when the background ones showed up, but may of been too focused on which one is singing now because of the numbers.

Jordan Hollis

Geoff.... Cheesus crust my guy... this may be your best video yet! Loved it!!!!

candi lunsford

Dang son! That was one thick last note. So, sooooo good. Personal opinion--lose the shirt sleeves permanently and let that hair flow in the breeze. ;) I like the scruff and glasses too.

Mikki Fullerton

Nice to see you breaking out of your usual routine with that harmonica, you raised the bar. This successfully captured my attention, thank you!

aethervox

I'd love to hear you or VoicePlay do Jailhouse Rock!

candi lunsford

Shhhh. We like it when he shows off the guns. Not a fan of the pony tail though--let that hair flow. LOL

Lizzy Hite

Awesome! The sass from the clones is hilarious. 😂

Jay Fritz

The "C'mon" is back! Great arrangement, great video, Geoff!

Bonnie Kaupp

7!?! Seven Geoffs!?! Absolutely loved this! 😊

Tracie Schlaak

Who knew you could play harmonica? Of course you do. Love this so much❤️❤️

Suzy Bailey

Now you're playing the harmonica, just how many more talents do you have Geoff? Can you leave one or two for us mere mortals, please! Fantastic video, your creativity and attention to detail always amaze me, the singing is not too bad either! 😂🤣💜🇬🇧

Grace Files

Wow this was amazing Geoff!! I have not listened to the original (don't worry I will tomorrow since it is late for me, 10:29pm at this time lmao) but I do know Home Free's version and to be honest I like your version better. I do love what HF did with it but I like how you just kept it simple and straightforward. You did add a little bit of your own twists to it but I am sure that once I do go listen to the original I will see that you haven’t changed it that much. I am always so impressed with your arrangements and this one is no different. I also LOVE the video, I am so glad that you got to film in this prison. It is such a perfect setting for this song. And the costumes are amazing as always, I love all the little details you put into them. I always love how you convey a story in your videos. The only error I see with the video is the ending after the song ends (like how choppy it is when goes to a black screen if that makes sense) but I am sure that you are aware of that. There could be more that I am not seeing but other than that it looks amazing to me! Thank you so much for being amazing Geoff, I appreciate you so much❤️

Anja Eder

WHOA !!!!...what can I say.....WHOA !!!!!! My father (82 ) ,who loves your voice so so much, is also totally flashed. All the time he asks when there is something new from you....now he's grinning all the time. And I 'm sitting next to it and I 'm happy!!!!! The song is arranged in a cool way, your voice (voices ?!?!?)are absolutely great and it feeling (for me)summery.....unfortunately the song ended way too quickly....so start again and again and again.....

Jane Beck

Glasses, harmonica Geoff was my favorite!

Angie Woollard

I just finally got a chance to see and hear and WOW I love it! I love Jeff reading the Johnny Cash biography - great Easter egg!

Hunter

Sure has big pockets full of talent for someone who’s “boring”

Cayden

3:08 WHAT NOTE WAS THAT💀

Cayden

U should do more johnny cash stuff this is 🔥

Cayden

Do u know what the one at the end was too?

Jeanette Pencz

👏👏👏 Amazing. The song, you playing harmonica, glasses, push ups, 7 clones? This is just stunning 🤩 Love it 😍😘

Amy Leigh

This was amazing!

Kelley ONeal

Geoff, you solo or as VoicePlay should do "Love Me Tender" or "Suspicious Minds". I love "Burning Love", but that is too fast a song.

Ruth Feiertag

You have an amazing gift of a stunningly beautiful voice, a gift that you've honoured by enjoying it, developing it, and sharing it with the world. Thank you. I also appreciate the way you know how to add just enough humour to leaven your work when appropriate. That too is a gift.

Aaron Hatcher

The amount of chest F#1s in this video is absurd

Amanda Nott

Great harmonies and range as always! Fun video too. Loved the push ups with the claps at the end lol!

Jill Weimer Koeninger 🐉

BRILLIANT!! Geoff, Jeoph, -Jeff, and Daryl!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 (inmates #43633, #53674, #05333, #32795) Whoo Hoo!!!

TheFiend231

Geoff not only living his rock tenor with Peaches, but taking a trip to his origins (Geoff was a Virginian boy growing up) with his country sound. Those F#1 chest notes too! Never heard you hit those so frequently. Amazing arrangement!

Debs Badger

I was very excited for this one, and at the same time trepidatious, as I am *such* a fan of the original. I was extremely disappointed in a different cover of this song when it came out, and desperately did not want a repeat here. I shouldn't have worried. 😁 I really appreciate that you didn't reinvent this one, you were very true to the original. Thank you for that. 🥰 The visuals are a treat, your clone interactions only continue to improve. As do the various 'personalities' of the clones themselves: 'Jeff's' attitude... 'Daryl's' surliness... 'Joeph's' reticence/air of regret... just so well done! However, one thing I wanted to mention... it's not an error per se, and I don't know if anything can be done about it (or it's entirely possible you *intended* it this way), but it does catch me each time I watch. During the harmonica solo, as the other three clones watch 'Jeff' play, 'Geoff' and 'Daryl' have the exact same stance and then they (and 'Jeoph' as well) bob their heads in unison. I dunno, it just hits me oddly. Take that as you will. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Thank you again for allowing me a seat on this crazy train.

Karen Z

Wonderful! And ditto to the previous comments about harmonies, slides and the like as well as the super push-ups at the end! I'm just curious about the direction #05333 is looking near the beginning. He looks to the right, as do the others, but there's just another hall there. Shouldn't he look over his shoulder to his left where the other inmates are? It would seem the direction the singing's coming from would tell him which shoulder to look over. Anyway, great job regardless!

Tara Congo

I guessed the other day that you were either doing Folsom Prison Blues or Jailhouse Rock, and I can't tell you how thrilled I am that you went with Folsom Prison Blues because it's *such* a good song. Your version is so much fun - I was grinning all the way through. Love the train sounds at the beginning. Can't wait for the mp3 to have this one on repeat. And what a cool set! Bravo all around. Random question - we know you can really play harmonica after that clip you posted, so is the harmonica in the song a recording of you playing, or a midi input type of thing like you do with the other instrumentation? It sounds fantastic!

Lutra2732

👏👏👏 Amazing!

María Gabriela

VP is embracing their dancing era so I'm 100% sure they will cover an Elvis song at some point!

C

Loved it. But if you want us to get tired of the clones, you'll have to stop being creative with them...

Victoria

Absolutely fantastic! So much to say but I'll contain myself. Love the glasses and the relaxed harmonica stance. Loved it so much! Thanks Geoff xxx

Leisa S

As always I had a smile on my face the whole time. I was watching on my phone so was that you on the level above? That’s 7 of you so you need more names 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Kaleigh Henderson

As far as video errors, I noticed a couple very short frames where the video cuts between the Geoffettes are kind of obvious... the line between Jeff and Geoff is pretty clear around 1:57 and 4:50, and also at 4:50 the very top of Daryl's head gets cut off a bit by one of the balcony Geoffs. All these "errors" are barely noticeable unless you're very purposefully looking for them though, I'm sure you could publish the video as is and literally no one would notice them or care enough to comment. On the errors, that is, not the video itself, the video itself is very commendable 😉

Carol Franklin

I knew this was going to be perfect & it’s perfecter!!!

Veronica Thunander

Excellent! And Daryl is such a show off!😂 I admit I couldn’t see the connection between the numbers and the name tags at first, when I read it I thought “No, that doesn’t add up!” until I realised that our system in Sweden is different since we have 3 more letters in the alphabet 😁.

Gillian Drysdale

Daryl is such a show off! Love the glasses these must be some of the best looking prisoners on the planet and the sing superbly hope we will be getting loads more from the Folsom prison choir! ❤️

Patricia Schuman

I thought I was going to really love this one and, once again, you made it even more spectacular than I had imagined it would be. Oh, and as for your ' audience' watching from above, I guess that they were Goff, your brother Larry and your 'OTHER brother Daryl'.

Mia

My brain is whizzing like a ping-pong ball. What did I just witness? The humour, the shot setups, the styling, the attention to detail, the sound, the talent. That voice. I'm just going to wobble through the rest of the day 😳

Patricia Schuman

Seeing how well you did with this one and Daddy Sang Bass with VP already, you've got me thinking about other Johnny Cash song possibilities. Of course, she is super busy being a new mom right now, but I would love to see you do a cover of Jackson with Rachel Potter. You trading the sass back and forth with her and maybe even some Rachel clones sparring with Geoff clones singing background, that would be fun!

Agnes EvaR

I love how much you love this video. 😊

Tine

Aww thank you Agnes!🥰 I really do. Not everyday that one of your favorite vocalists and musicians also plays one of your fav instruments and it's just such a good song😌

Lexy Wolfe (aka Pam)

Heh. You really remind me of my late husband with your hair pulled back...except you can see your scruff. His beard was blond and white and was especially scraggly. Pretty sure the video bits you need to worry about you know of, like the background prisoners just blipping out of existence at the end, and the foreground ones flickering here and there. Audio-wise, no complaints. Can tell you're really wanting to bring out your inner tenor. Though I think you're more a country tenor than a rock tenor. Either way, love listening to you.

Filiz E

I'm just sad that you left Daryl there🥲 I kinda liked that dude😋 otherwise great song and video with cool details 💙💙

Geoff Castellucci

The prison is echoey and that version of me has hearing loss in his left ear because he had a bad fever as a child. So when the singing starts, he looks right because that’s the side of his head where he hears the best. Backstory for ya.

Els Peeters (=jopperke)

I love it!!! The upstairs public is a great addition! I chuckled when they applauded. Nice touch!

Nana Koranteng

Never knew you could play the harmonica! Your very talented. Great work Geoff

Frances Smith

This was fantastic. Your voice is really great, as usual. But this one —the depth and fullness was beautiful. Love all your octaves. Have you ever listened to some of Glen Campbell’s songs?

Lynn M

Hey Geoff you definitely have this one “all locked up” 😛. In all seriousness though, this is SO GOOD. You manage to keep the heart of the song while making this feel more contemporary. To echo a comment from up above, as good as your rock tenor is, your country tenor is even better. As a lifelong country fan, to my ear, your range and timbre seem made for country.

Agnes EvaR

I love this whole production. 💙 Good song, your voice sounds awesome and the video is great. Coding the names to numbers was a very clever idea. My personal favorit is Jeff. "He" looks great wearing the glasses, I like the posture as "he" reads and sings leaning to that column and of course because "he" plays the harmonica. That harmonica solo sounds pretty good. I can't help, but when the drums came in, I imagined as more Geoff clones join in, and do a little line dance. It would be funny.

Dawn Ours

Great Job Geoff ! Johnny Cash Request If I may He wrote it for June (Hint maybe a cameo with your Lady for this?) Flesh and Blood it's a great song

Barbara Binney

Another fantastic job, Geoff. I'm not a country fan by any stretch of the imagination, but you have a way of making me fall in love with songs that I'm not particularly fond of. I just have one question- did you learn to play harmonica for this song or was it a skill that you already possessed?

Amy

Beautiful! You sound great. Loved the harmonica.

Tine

🥰 I am so happy to read that. You did very well, Geoff. I really liked that part.

Hunter

For someone who was out on good behaviour, I think you should have been released for amazing talent! (s) Starting off in the high range? Very nice. I think I was first introduced to Johhny Cash by my grandmother eons ago, and then once I fell into the Country Legend rabbit hole. Folsom Prison, as well as A Boy Named Sue, Ring Of Fire, GRITS ha-ha, most of his classics were played on repeat then I was introduced to Hurt. And its name is as real as it gets. Owwie. Anyway, Johnny Cash made a name for himself. And was in fact a country legend in his day. I didn't think that the story behind Folsom Prision was in fact true, until this thing calle the Internet came around and I found out that yes, he did do time. I loved everything about this video. You sweated it out for us and we appreciate the bucket (s) of sweat that probably came from your person. It's productions like this that make me proud to always give what I can each month. Look at what we have accomplished! It's amazing. You're amazing! This community is amazing! It's one part of my life where if I were to give it up, It just wouldn't be the same. Thank you for doing all that you do for us, Geoff! Now, GET BACK TO YOUR CELL!

Sarah Reach

My favorite singer covering my second favorite singer 😍 Oh Geoff. You can cover Johnny Cash ANY time you like! I do love so much that you were able to freshen up this one and give it your unique spin, without reimagining it. It was a good instinct that this one doesn't need much more structurally. I am SO impressed with all the details (Numerical nametags, the Johnny Cash book, the clones individual personalities, etc.) and that harmonica is Soooo good as well. I am surprised that it has taken this long for you to pull that out. I can't wait to share this with everyone! In the meantime it is going to be a challenging week waiting for the MP3, since you have moved to the Patreon video player I can't just set the song to automatically loop, and I can't stop listening! Such a wonderful problem to be having 🥰

Lynn M

😂those names are just perfect

Christine Stromberg

Fabulous rendition of this old and very familiar song. I see we got three extra non-singing Geoffs in there as well! Amazing. Your clones are multiplying! And of course the obligatory sleeveless Geoff. It makes me smile. Every time. :) I thought you looked very well dressed for a jailbird but I'm not familiar with US prisons or how inmates dress. Over here it's usually sweat pants and top and soft shoes, for safety. Belts definitely not allowed, or anything you can hang yourself with.

Ashley Evers

We’re always joking in the discord that your clones have been escaping into the world. It’s good to know someone is rounding them up 🤣 I love the respect for the original, the harmonica, the characters, and just everything as usual 😁

Sarah Reach

It's about the same over here, but I think I can suspend my disbelief re: Geoff's belt. The baggy sweatpants are not a particularly good look on anyone 😅

book

I enjoyed that a lot! I don't have a lot of attachment to the original but I definitely enjoyed your take on it. It was fun to realize that in addition to sleeve length, the prisoner numbers are different for each Geoff. I really appreciate the attention to detail and ha! The extra bodies in the background was a great touch. Now I'm off to watch the BTS.

Sandy Mrotek

This definitely one of your BEST videos. I love them all but this is GREAT. Besides you look so good in this one also. Thank you so much. This is one of my favorite songs which makes it even better.

Emily Houk

That was awesome and I love that you can cover so many parts yourself! You could market yourself as a "group" and call it "The Geoff Castelluci Experience"!

Maria Stoycheva

Geoff knowing that we'd panic if he cut the hair --> priceless :D

Maria Stoycheva

pretty well done with the video - totally appreciated the additional viewing angles and the Geoffs on the second floor. <3

Adam Podjarny

This is just an amazing arrangement! Every part of your voice sounded incredible (the insane F#1s!) and I loved the little touches like the Geoffs on the second floor, and the clone (can't tell which one) doing push ups on the floor. Everyone's gonna love it!

Debs Badger

That's Daryl doing pushups.

Debs Badger

Not only are the numbers different, they spell out the clones' names in phone keypad letter style.

Mardette

Took me awhile to break in and watch, happy to have found the key. Awesome always! In particular your tone and quality was a 10. Stay happy, relax, you were not made to make any prison your home. But you know that so sing on.

book

😲 I knew they had to mean something but I couldn't figure it out. Thank you!! That's so neat!

Tiina Nyrhinen

That was awesome! Really enjoyed it!

Anna L

Love it!

Christine Stromberg

I found smiley Geoff at the end a bit incongruous but that's all. My eyesight isn't great these days.

Karen & Lauren

That, perhaps combined with "you" being behind him so he couldn't tell which direction it was coming from. 😉

Brad Tobin

Not that it matters but what prison was this? Also Johnny and JD would be proud. Phenomenal...Salute!!!

Shannon D

I love this! Sonically an improvement indeed!

Cynthia Ross

I didn’t think you’d do it…. I love your upper range as much as the lower and I have always wished just spend more time up there at least once. I never felt right about asking for that though since the bass covers are a successful thing for you. But…you did it anyway. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 I thank you from the bottom of my very happy ears! I love this! 😁

chaaard_

Great take on the song, G! Idk but I guess the closed captions were drunk, lol XD

Gina Wever

👏👏👏super! Thanks for yet another stunner!!!!! Well done 🤩💚🌹

Cayden

Just watched this again with bass boosted headphones and my GOD the end literally makes your entire head vibrate

Ameejo Taylor

I absolutely LOVE your voice ... it penetrates deep inside my soul... Thank you for sharing your voice... just amazing :)

SunnyOutlook

Watched it again and it just keeps getting better. Looking forward to the public premiere.

I've watched this video I don't know how many times by now, and I've finally picked out my favorite moment. Check out Jeoph's reaction to Daryl's super low note at 3:58 😂😂😂 His expression is just like, "sheesh, note to self, do NOT mess with that guy." Hilarious!

I know it’s probably an unpopular opinion but I prefer the shorter hair look. I think my favourite hair era was the Moana medley length

Also, I’m curious… the extra Geoffs in the background, does that mean we might be getting more clones in the future?

And lastly, it may not be practical but what if you added the background clones one at a time like the crowd is growing?

Lordy his hair is like mine. At my best friends wedding I was maid of honor and it was a HOT August day my hair was proofing so big I won’t look at the wedding pics with me in it lol. Looks good on Geoff though. Anything looks good on him but I do feel his pain. My hair frizzes

I love your harmonica, push-ups and the additional inmates up top at the end! As well as your (Kathy's?) attention to details as in the various numbers and styles of shirts. Awesome!

New member. Hurrah for Kathy! What a job she does and never gives up. What would Geoff and VP be without her!😍
