After working on the recent beach scenes for Accolade, I thought back to my very first 3D comic from over a decade ago which was also set on a beach.

Putting the images side-by-side like this really puts things in perspective, doesn't it?

raptor4d4's Citadel of Artistry

A 2D artist I follow just did something similar, showing their first comic alongside their latest one to see how much their style has evolved over the years. I've done the same with some pics and stories of my own that I've done and it can feel quite nice to have a measure of your progress. Well done. :)

Fred

Nice section but I am knows both stories and they’re very different

Sortimid

Aside from the crowds, this also shows the importance of lighting (and depth of field), which often do more to make a scene believable than sharpness or more details. Great job and thanks for sharing!

Dynamoob

One looks rather quaint now by comparison.

Dynamoob

Depth of field is also a useful tool to put a literal focus on what you want in the image. Background elements can fill the frame without distracting attention from the main subject.

Fred

Yeah, so let’s go for a region of the first and show more of the transformation

Mach

So glad to have been able to be witness to this journey! Such phenomenal improvement and so many good memories. Always thankful!

Dynamoob

Much love to everyone whose supported me through the years.

Mapache

What a disappointment. Two weeks. No update

Dynamoob

You should know by this point that even during a good spell, it takes longer than two weeks to produce a section of Accolade.

TommyTheDude

Dude wtf is your problem. For the past several installments, dynamoob has been updating accolade every three weeks, going Bottled Potential -> something else that varies -> Accolade. On top of that, dynamoob informed everyone that this chapter was more involved and might require longer to make. So chill out

Mapache

I was not referring to Accolade, but to any update.

Dynamoob

You have to forgive the assumption. Most of the time when you comment, it tends to be about Accolade.

Stoney1

Both are excellent, just different styles. The artistic talent is obvious in each.
