Notice: I'm going to start blocking freeloaders (Patreon)

I've seen a number people dropping on Jan 31, specifically ones who have never contributed a single dollar. I'm going to start blocking people who do this regularly.

I set my price as low as it will go and I publish everything publicly anyway, so I don't think anyone can claim they didn't know what they were getting into. And if you can't spare a dollar, don't pledge in the first place.

Update: To elaborate on who I consider a freeloader, it's someone with no lifetime contribution ($0) who drops their pledge on the last day of the month, then re-pledges the next month. Repeatedly. I can't blame someone for joining and then changing their mind before the end of the month, but don't come back and repeat the cycle.

You sir are a treasure and your work is great. Sorry to hear the frustration. Some of your contemporaries charge well over twenty dollars. The ones who stay appreciate you.

Liam Goddard

Yeah it's kinda nuts how people will do that for $1. You are defintely one of the best possession animators and don't lock your stuff behind a paywall. Kinda sad that people cant be asked to give you $1

hinatasaix

Aye, get em outta here. Been here from the start and even increase my pledges just because I appreciate what you do. People are happy to watch but when it comes to actually supporting what they like, suddenly they go the way of the 🦤

RedRoman

damn... that's low. Internet never ceases to amaze me, about how low scumbags can fall. Bro, exercise your power. We, backers are with you.

Pronkar

Wait what do you mean "dropping on Jan 31"? When I subscribed to you I had to pay immediately, so you already got the money for the month..?

I don't have "charge immediately" turned on, so nobody should get charged until the end of the month (in this case, the 31st). That's why people drop on the 31st, so they don't get charged. you're fine.

Dennis Renz

it makes no sense it only a dollar and you get a lot for that dollar

MaxBigfoot

I don't understand people like that. I've never dropped any artist without staying on at least a couple of months, even if it turns out I don't like them, just to make sure they get some money from me. At a dollar a month, you are the biggest bargain of anyone I'm subscribed to.

Dennis Renz

that is so true Michael and you get a lot for that dollar

Just curious, can you point me at some of the other possession animators you'd recommend? Ovidius is the only one I'm aware of, and I stumbled upon his work by accident.

Well one is xblurp who is also here on patreon but my all time favorite is defintely BodySwapper/SpookyIslandMonster she's SpookyIslandMonster on deviant art where she posts a good amount of stuff SFW and NSFW but the full versions of the NSFW is usually reserved for her subscribestar where she goes by BodySwapperh

Voratus

Go ahead! You are right! Down with the slimy freeloaders!

I admit that sounds like a person with no morals, I intend to keep with my pledge as long as I can and if I can't I would give a heads up
