Hello 👋 Since companies love to revisit old franchises, remake them or remaster them. Tell me a game you would like that treatment but that you actually played back when it was first released. In my case I would with dead rising 1. It was my first Xbox 360 game and I loved it! It was far from perfect but so much fun. I'd love a remake with the current RE engine and make things more modern but still keep it's essence.

Hey MinnMaxers, Sayonara Wild Hearts is a game I absolutely adore and I hold it close to my heart as one of my favourite games. It's not the most widely known and doesn't come up in conversation often, but last week on the podcast, Huber's admiration of Sayonara Wild hearts as one of the greatest games of all time and Haley saying it has one of the best soundtracks gave me an intensely warm and fuzzy feeling. Something about this shared enthusiasm and validation of liking something so niche means a lot! Hello Minnmax friends. Back in the GAMECUBE days some of my friends and I would play certain console and PC games incorrectly just for the pure entertainment of it all. For example, we'd play a Nascar game backwards to see how high we could launch oncoming cars into the air (turns out there is an invisible ceiling), or we'd play GTA III in unorthodox ways in order to get police officers or pedestrians to react in hilarious fashion. Last week you asked if anyone remembers their old class presentations. Well, there's one I think about at least once a week. When I was in 8th or 9th grade, we were given an assignment to invent a fake product, create a brochure for it, and present it in front of the class. Well, come presentation day, wouldn't you know it? A friend of mine forgot to do the assignment and immediately got called on to present first. This kid, who was one of the quietest, shyest kids I have ever met, calmly stood up, folded a blank piece of paper into a brochure, and gave a 5 minute presentation on "Invisi-Stuff" off the top of his head. He was the absolute last person I would ever have expected to try a stunt like that, and to this day it stands as one of the funniest, most unexpected things I have ever witnessed. (Even the teacher had to respect it -- he got a C.)

Hello CLCs! How come we don't have a Toy Story remaster? I know we'd prefer new content from Pixar and Disney, but re-releasing older animated movies with updated visuals would A) make money at a fraction of a new movie (for reference, Pixar movies spend 1-3 years in pre-production writing the story before any animation is even started), and B) as a side project, it would be a great avenue to train new artists, the same way some new studios start by remaking older games (i.e. The Coalition). We forget how incredibly dated those 20+ year old animated movies look now. Even if you don't agree that it's a good idea, aren't you surprised a Suit hasn't asked for one by now? With how similar 3D animated films are to games, on a technical level, I'm surprised we've never seen this happen. As an animator, I'd jump at the opportunity to bring 1995's Buzz to his well deserved 4K, photorealistic, Definitive Edition™ future.

One of the things that makes Another Crab's Treasure so interesting is it's shell mechanic, being the way you can wear different pieces of trash that come with their own stats and special abilities. If you received the powers of Krill, what human sized object would you equip as your shell and what special power would come alongside it? As an avid reader, I would equip my bookshelf. Hello Minnmax, with Destiny 2: The Final Shape less than a week away I’ve been reflecting on my time spent through all of Destiny, from 2014 to today. In reflecting I’ve only now just realised how many key life milestones Destiny has either taken me through, helped me cope with or been closely linked to. My question for the panel is: do any of you guys have that one game which has consistently taken you through key points in your life and that you now closely associate with those moments? Reports have Furiosa bombing at the box office and having worse opening weekend sales than Solo,The Hunger Games: ballad of songbirds and snakes and Lightyear. I havent had much time to process it myself yet, as I've been in support mode for my wife and in-laws, but I know it will hit me hard when their shiva (7-day jewish mourning ritual period) ends. Hey MinnMax folks! What is the biggest mismatch between quality of concept and quality of execution (in either direction) that you can think of? Here's mine: Darth Maul's retconned survival of being chopped in half through the power of hatred is incredibly dumb. However, his villain arc throughout Clone Wars and Rebels is a highlight of both series, due in part to a delightful voice performance by Sam Witwer. Keep up the great work!

Hey MinnMax! I’ve recently been working my way through the Metal Gear series with the Master Collection. I just made it to Sons of Liberty, and my jaw dropped at how damn good this game still looks! The rain effects, the character models, the animations on Metal Gear RAY. It’s no wonder we were blown away back then, but I still find myself impressed at how good this 23-year-old game looks. Nightdive recently remastered and reintroduced the world to PO'ed, a very bizarre 3DO first person shooter. I am in awe that this game was chosen to rerelease, but I absolutely love that they did. You can tell someone at Nightdive resurrected PO'ed solely out of love they themselves had. The game is an acquired taste, no doubt, but it's neat to see an obscure game get back into the spotlight. Hey MinnMaxers! I recently discovered the works of Tim Follin, the genius composer behind legendary soundtracks such as Pictionary and Silver Surfer for NES. Both soundtracks are the standout feature of their respective games and are one of the main reasons these games are still talked about 34 years after their release. Hello MinnMaxers! Today I'd like to talk about Nintendo's acquisition of Shiver Entertainment. We've seen in the past that Nintendo isn't keen on making purchases, but when they do, they end up mattering a lot. It's reasonable to assume Shiver will support third party games coming to Switch/Switch 2 but something I've not seen discussed much is the possiblity of Shiver working on internal ports for games from GameCube/Wii or even Switch to have next gen patches. Shiver is also Nintendo's 4th N.American Studio after Retro, NST and Next Level, so they could provide support to those teams as native English speakers. What do you make of this?

With Destiny 2s the final shape coming out next week, serving as a wrap up to the first 10 years of story line. I'm curious have any of you ever dipped your toes into D1 or D2 and what are your thoughts? It honestly reminds me of the hospitality industry, when you get out you can never imagine going back in. Remember the first time you played a FPS with dual sticks? Perhaps this only applies to a slightly older audience but for me it was on my PlayStation 2 in 2000 playing the first Time Splitters on release week. I got the ps2 for my birthday, which was one of the most magical memories I have. I booted it up and for the life of me couldn’t wrap my mind around it—I hated the dual stick layout at first. This was in a time where all FPS games were played with a single joystick or the d-pad. I even had my dad call PlayStation support to ask if there was a way to disable this option and they said no. My question is: will video games ever pivot away from using twin sticks in FPS games? Maybe a third stick one day?! Just joined the Patreon, listening to MinnMax since day 1, and love the show!
