Hello all, Please do the world a favor and sort these words by how much they represent from the least to the greatest. Lot Some Many Couple Several Few Ton Bunch

Travis in Fargo

What city are you glad you’ve never visited?

Bayleaf Moon

Hey delinquent’s! Which games do you still prefer the original version over its remastered/remake form? And why :)

jacob cummings

Who would win in a fight: Astro Bot or Frank Woods?

Fancygraham

Hey MinnMax! One can assume that Balatro will be nominated and potentially win Indie Game of the Year at the Game Awards in December. If you were in LocalThunk’s shoes, can you think of a creative way that you would you accept the award while retaining your anonymity? Thank you! Graham Gilmore

MakeItUnclear

In your opinion as industry professionals: What would the PS5 Amateur be, and why would it still be $600 with controllers sold separately?

Travis in Fargo

What’s the worst port you’ve ever played? For me, it was Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden for Switch. It was so blurry and low-res, I could hardly discern what was happening, which bummed me out, because otherwise, the game seemed right up my alley.

Neal McMahon

Hey Maxers, My wife and I are planning on having a baby within the next year and there is one question I have always asked myself which I will pose to you all: What games MUST I play before the baby comes? And what is the perfect game to play when the baby is here? I think of massive RPGs that I still need to mark off my backlog list, like Baldur’s Gate 3, before the baby comes and perhaps something smaller and turn based like the Legend of Hero’s games which don’t require constant input. Thoughts? Love the show!

TheRealJoeRussell

Who would you want to make a 3D HD version of Vampire Survivors? What would the game look like?

Dan from Canada

Share a time where you got to share a tidbit/fun fact of knowledge about something but were ashamed/embarrassed of how you came to learn this fun fact

Travis in Fargo

We’ve seen the evolution of vibration in gaming, from the humble Rumble Pack on N64 all the way to the expert use of haptic feedback in games like Astro Bot. My question is: what is your greatest hope for the future of “rumble” in games?

Alex Britt

What very specific trope or archetype in media is your absolute favorite? What's something you see and you know immediately that piece of media is for you.

Neal McMahon

Hey MinnMaxers, With all the long-form story telling in the world today from Marvel and Star Wars movies, to long running tv series like Breaking Bad and the Walking Dead, to beloved book series like Harry Potter or John Grisham legal/thriller novels—are video games the true “longest form” of story telling available? Looking at the Trails series or Like a Dragon series, you could argue that there could be well over a thousand hours involved in everything put together vs a tv series where it’s maybe 70 hours for 7 seasons. As gamers, do we hold that throne? What are your thoughts?

Jonathan Anderson

Have you ever violated an embargo? I assume it would be a mistake, but if you did it knowingly I imagine the story would be even better.

Chandler

You know how in movies it's a common trope for a character to die, but you don't actually see the death? So all the other characters grieve the death of their friend before the big reveal that actually their friend survived and came back to save the day? Has that ever happened to you? That'd be cool

Forbin

Is there any point in having the two tens this year since we all know Astro Bot is King?

N8

Just wanted to say thanks to Haley for sharing about her OCD. Our 12yo daughter has it too and I have two questions: 1. Does it drive you nuts when people who don’t have it say “my OCD” to refer to some minor quirk? And 2. Any advice for her dealing with it as she grows up (she’s diagnosed and has a prescription but still a day-to-day battle with strategies to handle it)

pork bun powered

How would you sell horror to someone who is not into it but open to trying? What would be your "beginner horror recs (games or otherwise)?" I've spent most of my life avoiding the genre before falling into it in a big way when I played Devotion and Soma back to back. But when I try to explain why horror works for me, my answer mostly boils down to "I get it now."

Shakenbake67

Hey Minnmaxers, on Monday my ten year old dachshund Brody finished his fight with cancer and got his wings. I’m very sad but I loved your guys pet video and watched it last night and cried my eyes out. Can you guys tell me your favorite memory with your pet? Past or present pets count For mine, one of my favorite memories was when Brody was a pup but very in shape and my roommate brought a girl over and made rice and chicken for dinner for themselves. I was at work and I arrived to my roommate pissed because Brody somehow did some platforming and jumped chair to chair to the table where the food was sitting and ate all the chicken but left the rice while my roommate left the room 😂😂😂 my old roommate was pissed but we always talk fondly now of how funny that was and how you just couldn’t stay mad at him. He was a bundle of joy and I miss him dearly. So once again, what’s your favorite memory of her pet?

LlorchDurden

On PS5 Pro topic, simple question, Do we need it?

CaffeineDad

Hey y’all! The $700 PS5 Pro was announced this week, and I gotta ask: what could you buy with $700 that’d be more worthwhile than a PS5 Pro? That would be the price of a new loveseat couch, 2 freezers, 218 McDoubles, or 140 onesies for my daughter.

Rikimaru

Hey, MinnMax! All this talk of a PS5 Pro but what is a piece of technology you really want a professional model of? Some options: Air Conditioning Pro Dishwasher Pro Lamp Pro Microwave Pro Portable Console Pro Printer Pro

Sean

Hey minnmaxers, What’s something you’re tired of gamers asking for? Personally I hate all of the people asking for bloodborne 60 fps, bloodborne remastered, or bloodborne 2. Im a huge fan of bloodborne but oh my god please shut up

BEEFCAKE

How often do you Marie kondo your life?

Rick

Hey, y’all! In the current age of indies, retro collections, rereleases, etc, the pricing standard for games is extremely variable. This is great for affordable titles and small studios being able to name their price, but it can also feel arbitrary from bigger studios. The new marvel capcom fighting collection is $50 and that feels really steep! Do you think the consumer benefits from this new model overall, or does it allow studios to overcharge for a high-demand product? There’s obviously a lot of grey area here but it’s interesting to think about! Especially in the early years of the $70 game.

Matthew Roy

Hey MinnMaxers! Have you ever made a purchase of an expensive or objectively useless nerdy item and been nervous to bring it up with your significant other, only for them to be totally cool with it? I recently bought the Lego Deku Tree and when I nervously told my partner what I was planning and how much it would cost, she looked at me, blinked, and told me to make sure it would fit on the bookshelf. Would love to hear your heartwarming stories of your SO's enabling these dorky lifestyles we have chosen to lead.

Daniel Doran

Do you think history is going anywhere? I’m not really sold on the idea of progress—I think humanity discovers new dimensions of our brokenness generation after generation. For a long time it seems like people have tried to think their way out of pain and suffering and now we’re finding that we can do too much thinking and find ourselves in another ditch all together. Do you find conflicts in your life to be mostly abstract challenges of the mind or mostly concrete challenges in relationship with others?

Kraven Morcome

Hey MinnMax, What are your big three when it comes to making a pro sandwich? I have 67% more turkey, Rye tracing, and BSSR (Bacon Strips with Some Ranch).

Zeriquinn

Is there a game or genre that you had to call quits on due to physical or psychological reasons? I am a slowly aging gamer and am noticing my fingers aren’t doing the best after a few rounds of a fast paced shooter. Also have to put the PS5 controllers “resist” function off to help as well.

Meatball

Anyone have a spare $700 lying around? 🤣

Matt Lowery

The Legend of Heroes: Trails through Daybreak is the eleventh game in the Trails series, and it was released in the West a few months ago. It's one of my favorite games of the year, but requires you to play the TEN previous games to get the most out of it. Have you ever been successful in convincing your friends/family to undertake an insane ask to enjoy a piece of fiction/media?

Travis Manick

Will we see Astro Bot come to PC in the next two years? Thanks, Manick_T

WeGoGiant

Hey MinnMax, The other day during Trivia Tower one of the hail Mary questions during the first round was a Before & After style question. Last summer I got into a groove writing one of those a day and testing the MinnMax Discord. I also sent in 7 questions on an episode to test out the cohorts (this was during Ben's paternity leave). JeffM did pretty well last time, so let's do another round to see who can get these. FYI, I'll put the answers in a reply to this comment. 1. At the time of release the namesake of this N64 game was the youngest NBA player ever to have a video game named for them; I wonder if he enjoyed billiards games like this arcade classic that got ports to the NES, GameBoy, Genesis, and SNES 2. Wake up and smell the ashes in this revolutionary first person shooter that launched a PC gaming empire; and don't forget your headset for this overly ambitious PS2 title that was primarily controlled through voice recognition 3. Long before Guerilla Games made Horizon: Zero Dawn, they produced this sci-fi fps for the PS2 (a Halo killer, it was not); and while this mech fighting game was fairly well received, it's most known for including a demo of a highly anticipated sequel 4. Co-op gaming will never die while we have games like this, though some reviewers thought it took too much from The Shawshank Redemption; so grab your clubs and hit the links (and your caddy) in this wild sports title that featured Steve Carrell as the announcer 5. The first game in this long running series set in a post nuclear apocalypse technically had a subtitle, but you should ignore it to pair with the US name of this early 90's title that boasted exceptionally smooth, rotoscoped animation and was made almost entirely by just one person 6. With procedural generation pushed beyond its limits, this game failed to live up to the hype at launch but has since gotten better and better; this title that revived a Sony mascot was arguably a precursor to Nintendo's popular Amiibo line of toys And last one 7. Don't touch the sides in this PS1 game based on a difficult carnival game; then enjoy this competitive fighter where all the characters are little doodles (go for the gun that shoots snakes)

ItIsBGun

It took a minute, but Elden Ring has finally got me hooked! Usually when that "hook" happens I chew through a game quickly and my relationships and self-care don't take a hit, but Elden Ring feels genuinely never-ending (and I'm not even to the DLC...). I know it's your job and all, but how do you set healthy limits on your gaming time while still savoring that flow state thrill?

Matthew Baranoski

With the Splatoon 3 Grand Festival happening this weekend, I wanted to ask all of you the big (and maybe world changing) question: Which is the most important to you? Past, present, or future

halfwayokay

Ahoy gang! With Astro Bot once again delighting millions, I’m curious—who would you say is your favorite video game robot?

Craig Marshall

I just want to say I am really enjoying the new Astro Bot game and having a lot of fun. My question is if they were to make another one of these could they do it without the playstation motif or is that just part of the franchise forever. Can they make just a platformer with astro bot but no other playstation characters or branding?

Luis Pérez

Hey gang! Time for an inflation-adjustment pricing game! The new PS5 Pro will cost a sweet 699.99 without its Disc Drive: let's be simple and assume that's our base comparison price. Now, considering for inflation, can you name 3 consoles that would be more expensive than the PS5 Pro if they were sold nowadays? All the Best! Spoilers Below! Cheat Sheet is as follows: Console - Launch Year - Launch Price - Inflation-Adjusted Price Honorable Mentions: Xbox One - 2013 $499.00 $673.75 PlayStation 1 - 1995 $299.00 $617.11 The Nasty Price Posse: 20 GB PS3 2006 $499.00 $778.55 60 GB PS3 2006 $599.00 $934.57 Neo Geo 1990 $649.00 $1,561.87 Atari 2600 1977 $199.00 $1,032.90 Sega Saturn 1995 $399.00 $823.50 Atari 5200 1982 $269.00 $876.80 Intellivision 1980 $299.00 $1,141.35

ItIsBGun

What are the stereotypes about each of these types of gamer and are they fair/true? 1) Gamers loyal to PlayStation 2) Gamers loyal to Xbox 3) Gamers loyal to PC 4) Ethically poly-game-erous gamers (all platforms all the time baby)

Jared Piers

Hello Minnmax. If humans had four arms instead of two, do you think all controllers would be made to use all four arms?

ItIsBGun

I haven't played yet, but Astrobot looks like SO MUCH FUN, especially all the power-ups and character transformations! If there was an Astrobot power-up or transformation for each of you, what would it look like and what would your power be?

resident eva

Hi! Do you have specific naming conventions for your player characters? I usually make mine a play on my own name but my girlfriend usually names her characters JSG (Just Some Guy). Do you have a go-to? I feel like its tough to give an epic fantasy character your own incredibly modern name!

MartyMcFlury

What's up Minnmax peoples! If you could instantly become an expert in anything (instrument, job field, etc.) , what would it be? I would definitely become a savant at playing the violin. So fancy!

Tom Rickard

Hey Minnmax! With it almost being October, how serious do you guys get with decorating your house for the holidays?? Do you start decorating for Halloween early? Go all out or save it all for Christmas? Cheers!

Nate Voris

Flipping through old GI mags I was reminded of all the games that eventually became vaporware that were shown off with a vertical slice. Would it be possible to release a playable compilation of vertical slices from cancelled/dead games? Or is something like that a legal minefield of tracking down rights?

Mathias Jülich

Hey Ho, cohorts! Assuming AstroBots stellar reviews translate into great sales numbers, how much will/should/could Sony push Astro as a PlayStation mascot? Astro Kart, Astro Sports, Astro Party - do you think Sony will follow Nintendo’s example?

Onlinesquid

You are now in charge of re-releading super smash bros melee as a launce game for the switch 2. Do you go for remake, re-master, or straight port? Do you open the Pandora's box of adding a balance patch?

Rabat or Rabbit

Hello Minnmax!!! With the Marvel vs Capcom collection coming out soon, I wanted to ask a simple question. Who else do you wanna see Capcom fight? DC? Nintendo? The extended cast of MinnMax? All options are worthy. 🙂‍↕️

Thom Blackburn

If the PS5 pro doesn't play bloodborne in 60fps, what is the point of its existence?

Dustin Davis

What is something you've seen in real life that for a second felt like it was CG? Back when I played Skyrim or the survival game Rust, I started feeling that when seeing rocks or trees IRL.

Qax

Unlocking a character gotta be top 5 feeling in video games

Michael Griffin

Hello MinnMax! Do you think your gaming taste has changed over the years? I went from playing mostly multiplayer shooters in my teens to now being in my 30s mostly playing RPGs, platformers and other retro inspired games.

Funky Duck

How long do you guys hold on to birthday cards? One day, one year?

Victor Pham

How important is performance to you? Can you see the difference between 60 fps and 120 fps?

Hey Minnmax! I've been running through the Castlevania DS collection on steam, and experiencing those DS games I missed over the years. I nearly completed everything in Dawn of Sorrow and by the end I think it may be one of the least impactful games in the series despite the collectathon of Souls from each enemy type. I love collecting stuff so this didn't bother me much, but by the end the game felt a bit unremarkable to me compared to the rest of the series. I'm almost done with Portrait of Ruin writing this now, and that game is much more linear, but feels much more rigid in how you rise to power. The game feels more punishing and is missing most of the exploration metroidvanias are known for as most of the maps are either long hallways or vertical stairwells with not many secret rooms to find. Despite this I'm having a much better time with it than Dawn of Sorrow even with it lacking a lot of the usual trappings of a castlevania. Has there been a game that's scaled down a lot of it's previous design pillars that ended up working better for you despite the departure from something you already like? Much love Minnmax 💛

Given all your travels, what city stands out as your favorite culinary destination? And as a bonus, if you've gone back to that city do you make sure to vist some of the same spots?

DarkFishDays

Perhaps this is more of a bonus pod question, but if MinnMax had done a Deepest Dive on Astro Bot, how would your experience with the game have changed?

Geebeesee

The return of the RTS is here! It's micro and macro time! Which IP would you like to see adapted to an RTS? What unit voice line would you choose for your game? “Somebody call for an exterminator?”

Hammer parsa

Quick question. Do you think the alien villain in astro bot is green to reference xbox and Microsoft or im overthinking this ?

whitemex

Hey y'all, Have you ever fallen in a public setting? And if so, would anyone please share with the group

Graham Jones

Dearest Minn max, In listening to a lot of the outlet reviews of star wars outlaws, I noticed that a lot of the reviews discussed that the world is incredibly well crafted but the mechanics were not unique. This has me wondering... What aspects of a game (mechanics, world building, story) create the 'masterpeice' experience? Does a game have to iterate to be good?

Graham Jones

This is a question just for Leo and only Leo!! A few months ago Leo talked about using his steam deck to play older games (I believe from the Xbox 360 era). I was wondering what are some of his top recommendations from what he has played recently. Are there any games that have been surprisingly well adapted? Any suggestions are welcome especially if they don't drain the battery!

Devin Atlee-Nutts

What's the first game that made you cry? Wandersong is the first I remember. It wasn't so much shedding a tear as full-on bawling during the final sequence.

Josh64

I know I’m in the minority here, but on PS5 Pro, theoretically getting rid of the performance or fidelity options is a real bummer to me. Some games I do prefer to play in a 30 FPS mode and I’d like to keep having the option to do so, that and no disc drive in the box, forcing me to pay extra for all my physical games, makes the PS5 Pro a skip for me. Does anyone else feel this way or am I nuts?

TheLastArcher

Ever notice that your handwriting is the same whether you write super tiny on a post it note or super giant on a marker board? So, should it be called brainwriting instead of handwriting?

SuperThisWay

Do you think the idea of “free will is an illusion” can be applied to choice-based video games? Obviously games like mass effect and balders gate 3 have options to play and act however you want but I do find myself selecting choices that don’t feel like I have free will. What’s your thoughts?

Grizzled Gaming

Hey, gang. How y'all doing? That's it. That's the question.

Malcolm Holliday

Hey MinnMax, I know y'all pretty recently had the "fighting games aren't for me convo" with the discussion of Mortal Kombat 1 and it's story mode, what could be added into the genre to make it more palatable for you? Do features like co-op play in 2XKO from riot make it less intimidating?

Poofydoo

Be honest, are you disappointed now that the PS5 Pro is officially announced? Rather than rate the PS5 Pro from 1-10 when it’s released, can you give us a rating of how excited you are?

Bon Jon Bovi

As a former video game composer, last week's discussion of and subsequent failure to recall various gaming themes was really interesting to me. Here is a list of tunes of increasing difficulty: can the panel hum these right now? 1. Pokemon Main Series Theme (https://youtu.be/NdJQopRuH1E?si=fTD6CXmaRsTk5Xtp&t=12) 2. Guile's Theme - Street Fighter 2 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FEdbR0jnfvQ) 3. Character Select Theme - Super Smash Bros Melee (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0q_MSMUEhoU) 4. Nate's Theme - main theme of the Uncharted series (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h_b5WdaP1fI) 5. BB's Theme - prominent theme from Death Stranding (bonus point if you remember the words!) (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ghk1RFr51xo) - and a "final boss" tune in case you hotshots get all of the above 6. Welcome to Blackreef - main theme of Deathloop (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bRK6XDaZBJQ&t=21s)

David Dubs

Hey Gang, I haven't really had a desire to grab a PS5 at all this generation, but Astrobot looks to genuinely be the only exclusive this generation that might be worth purchasing a ps5 for. That got me thinking, is Astrobot truly the only unique exclusive worth buying into this generation?

aFamiliarSpirit

Hi, Like many people, I’ve spent the weekend playing Astro Bot and having a great time and, throughout the whole experience, I kept thinking how much I’d love to hear Yoshiaki Koizumi’s thoughts on the game. That got me wondering, if you could get any one developer’s honest opinion about any game, what developer / game pairing would you want to hear the most?

John

Wait, so what happened with knife eat?

tothemax

Hey y’all! What is the best food themed level in a video game?

Fatt Mish

Hi MinnMax crew! Do you all think that the ease of game development is the main reason there is an overabundance of video games on the market and henceforth the largest driving factor in the uncertainty of the medium's unstable job market... or is it more of a combination of things? Regardless, could something be done to help developers or do we just have to let the market correct itself? Thank you for the wonderful show! Mars from MN

transundertale

Hello crew! Following your talk on Little Shop of Horrors and its multiple endings I felt compelled to rewatch Clue and am still in awe of the fact that it screened different endings to different cinemas. My question to the group is why do you think we haven’t seen much like this in cinemas since and why isn’t Clue ever brought up as one of the best ‘game’ adaptations in discussion? Also settle this debate between me and my partner: can Barbie be considered a game adaptation?

resnet

Hi MinnMax! I am delighted at the release of AoM:Retold as well as the announcement of Titan Quest 2. They remind me of my hyper fixation phase on Greek Mythology as a young teen. What kind of fun/funny/weird/embarassing hyper fixation did you have as a kid or teenager?

ProcyonNumber6

Hey Benn and Friennds, Is there anything that beats a comfortable T-shirt from a local restaurant you went to once? And if there is, please share.

Channing Potatum

My wife and I watched Collateral the other night and we both agreed that Ben Hanson is the spitting image of Tom Cruise in that movie. Who else in the MinnMax crew has a specific celebrity lookalike?

Sincerly, Eric

Why is everyone so upset the PS5 Pro is disc-less? The Switch is disc-less and I don't hear any complaints.... Just kidding I'm trying to be funny. How important is physical media to all of you? Do you all have many collectibles or posters through out your house?

Cody A

Inspired by Ben/Janet footrace and the Olympics just a few weeks behind us. Each cohort must pick an Olympic event they think they could beat the rest of the cohorts in.

Howdy-ho Horts, What is the more niche video game character you like more than the popular one? For example, I like Jade (Beyong Good & Evil) and Faith (Mirror's Edge) more than Lara Croft.

Matty P

Hey everyone! The PS5 Pro can be pre ordered this September for $700. The Launch/PS5 Slim with the disc drive is still $500, and the slim without the disc drive is $450 (launch was $400) With these costs in mind, and the fact that the PS5 is theoretically already halfway through its lifecycle (7 years for ps3 and ps4); How much do you think the PS6 Will cost? What's interesting is that the PS5 Original has not gone down in price at all. Back when the PS4 Pro launched, it was at the PS4 Launch price of $400 while the “slim” was reduced to $300. Technology has always cost money, but in the past it has gone down. Clearly, in today's market, that just isn't the case. This is also a "pro" item, similar to the iPhone Pro. It's another SKU that isn't meant to be for everyone, its meant for the enthusiasts. But still a hefty price tag! The PS6 costing this much I think would doom it! Cheers!

Adam Castellanos

Do any of y’all have any comic book recommendations, I am trying to get into comic books and looking for good places and stories to start with. If any of y’all aren’t into comics have you ever wanted to get into them? Thank you.

Dusty Beaman

What are your favorite vacation memories from when you were a kid?

Aging_Poorly

Who was your favorite teacher professor and why?

Nubbyy

Hey Minnmax, with the mid-gen announcement of the PS5 Pro, would you like to take this opportunity to lock in some next gen predictions? Will there be a next generation of consoles as we know them (Gen 10? Is that what we're calling it?), or will it look a lot different with the big players shifting priorities to subscriptions and possibly streaming services like xcloud? Any other bold next-gen predictions you want to make in September 2024?

Hannah Rain Finegold

Hello gang - I was recently at an airport and saw a Kylie Jenner-branded vending machine. It was full of her cosmetics, which felt like a wasted curatorial opportunity to me. What would you stock in yours?

Hey Minnmax! If you use Spotify to listen to music, what is your daylist named right now? As of writing, mine is "funny creepypasta tuesday evening". My roommate and I have been enjoying sending each other a playlist name or two everyday because of the funky word-salad that Spotify's AI cobbles together. Cheers!

What's a game that you claimed for years was a personal top ten, but upon replaying it you had to remove it from that list?

Michael Lane

Spurred by a recent playthrough of Dead Space using only the Plasma Cutter, I was thinking about how cool trophies and achievements used to be. What are the most memorable achievements/trophies, and are there any from older games that you would still like to go back and try to get?

Michael Berry

I remember watching 'Guts,' Nickolodeon's American Gladiator knock-off for kids, when I was younger. I always wanted to get a piece of the Aggro Craig, which is a piece of the mountain the kids had to scale in the final challenge. I occasionally look to see if any former winners are selling their trophy on Ebay. No luck so far. What are some of your more obscure ebay searches/purchases?

Cody U.

Hello! Has Haley MacLean had the chance to play The Casting of Frank Stone? Thoughts?

Emmett Watkins Jr.

Something the the "just buy a PC over PS5 Pro" discourse had got me thinking about: Between all the current gen gaming platforms (so no Switch), if you could only play games that you get though subscription services, which would you pick? Xbox, PC, or PS5? Xbox has Game Pass and PlayStation has PS+ of course. All platforms have EA Play, and Xbox & PC Have Ubisoft Connect. PC had quite a bit, including Amazon Prime, Humble Choice, and the weekly Epic games of you want to count those, as well as the other 3rd party services. For context, here's lists of the games most recently given out on Game Pass, PS+, Humble Choice, Twitch Prime, & Epic. Game Pass https://www.windowscentral.com/xbox-game-pass-whats-new#section-xbox-game-pass-full-list-of-new-games PS+ https://www.gamespot.com/gallery/all-the-playstation-plus-august-2024-games-for-premium-and-extra-subscribers/2900-5673/#9 Humble Choice https://www.ign.com/articles/guardians-of-the-galaxy-leads-humble-choice-for-september-2024 Twitch Prime https://www.ign.com/articles/amazon-announces-prime-gaming-september-2024-lineup Epic https://gamerant.com/epic-games-store-free-games-september-2024-rugrats-egs/

As of this week, it’s been 15 years since The Beatles: Rock Band came out. How does everyone feel about this classic rhythm game?

My wife and I were watching the Fields of Mistria stream with Haley, Sarah and Annie and it was so cozy and relaxing that we both fell asleep. I think Haley has mentioned that she falls asleep to youtube videos, so is this a win for the video in that respect? Is it a scenario where content putting you to sleep is actually a success? Ya'll still get the watch time on youtube, we're dreaming of Olric and Juniper, everyone's happy.

Azza G

Hey is it worse to show up late to a bris or early?

Paul Sanchez

Hi Minnmax, so I grew up with a brother about 10 years older than me and I would always look up to him and try to be as cool as him. When I was around 18, I had grown a beard that I tried to style in a nice way and my brother made a simple comment about how he liked and thought it looked cool. it really felt like one of the first times my older brother recognized something i had done that wasn't just a normal older sibling response. Do you guys have any similar stories about an older sibling/cousin/someone you grew up with that's older and you would look up to, to finally get a comment that had you feel they thought you were as cool as them?

I went to a few Paralympics events this summer and loved it. I also watched a lot of Olympics. Turns out these were the first time I went to sporting events? They make one really emotional when you're invested ! Have you all been to sporting events ? Also are there Olympic video games still being made ?

Hey gang, I agree the PS5 pro reveal was a bit underwhelming. Going off how Leo mentioned that we've just been talking about ray tracing the past decade - What advancement would video games have to make to truly blow you away, like how the transition from 2D to 3D was? I think at this point, it would be less on visuals, and more about how in-depth you can interact with the world in a game. Breath of the Wild, Hitman, Baldur's Gate all present almost unlimited choice and made the biggest impact last year.

I met a friend for dinner, he is finishing up an addition on his house. He asked that I help him find a multi-cade to put in his new space. Him and his wife were adamant that it have a few games on it Galaga, Pac-Man, and “the cowboy shooting game where one guy had a shotgun”. When I heard the last one, I said without pause, “Sunset Riders, yep”. My friend was hit with a rush of nostalgia after I named the game, and I hit him again when I said “bury me with my money” as the server asked us if we wanted another round of drinks. Question — when has your deep gaming knowledge / nerdiness come into normal conversation in real fun and meaningful way, where you weren’t dismissed, but hailed as the hero among the common folk?

Hey MinnMax! Which came first, the color orange, or the fruit?

Hi Minnmax, What was your first video game blister? For me, it was playing the first Marvel versus Capcom on the original PlayStation. I remember that sharp angle D pad giving my left thumb a big blister. I loved the game so much that I continued playing through the pain.

Hey MinnMax collective! I just got the Plat with AstroBot! An incredible game soured by my overwhelming desire for them to put Final Fantasy characters in… From the get go I was anticipating the likes of Cloud and Vivi. This continued the whole game all the way till the very last challenge. As I climbed my ladder of Bots I said to myself “I bet they’ve put Sephiroth here…” Alas. I guess my hope now is they make some crazy DLC Final Fantasy universe full of levels from various entries. What hopes do you guys have for DLC? Keep on Botting!

Recently Alan Wake was pulled from online stores due to its licence of David Bowie's song Space Oddity expiring. Luckily Remedy is replacing the song and relisting it but other games aren't so lucky. Spec Ops the Line and Forza Horizons 4 are no longer available due to the same reason. Why doesn't this happen in other media and is there something we can do to stop this from happening?

Hey cohort! When you die and respawn in a single player game do you play through the section you just went through normally or do you just make a beeline to the place you died, ignoring enemies and collectibles? I’ve been working my way through Astro Bot and have taken to booking it to the next objective when I die rather than replaying a section.

Heya Minnmax, Not to hate or antagonize any platform, but with so many launchers and stores now, which launcher/store do you think will close first; amongst the big ones ? Everyone dreads the day Steam disapears and Bethesda launcher was the first launcher to go. As for me i'm not confident the Epic launcher will never close : that's the main reason why I haven't make a purchase there yet.. Thanks for the amazing work you all do as always !

What's your go-to drink from a bar? Any mostly foolproof suggestions for something that can't go wrong? (Always know how to make it, always have the components, always consistent.) Same question but at a good coffee place?
