This week on Bonus Pod, host Haley MacLean is joined by Sarah Podzorski, Janet Garcia, and Leo Vader to finally stop tiptoeing around spoilers and get right into the meat of what makes Blue Prince so special.

The first part of the conversation is lightly spoilery, discussing some early game puzzles and onboarding with tips for frustrated players. Then at 58:48 the real spoilers begin. Nothing that will ruin your experience, but much more open conversation about places we're stuck on and big discoveries we've made.

Bonus Pod of the decade! I love these types of mini-round table smaller “deep dives” (medium dives?). And this one is for a game I’m obsessed over. What a wonderful treat in my Monday feed. Having some medical issues and was looking for something to take my mind off it. You made my mopey Monday day brighter!

I hated this game, with such a passion, based almost entirely on breathless praise like what’s on offer in this pod. Why on earth games media is in love with this RNG walking simulator with repetitive “puzzles”, when the rest of the gaming world very much sees it for what is, baffles me to no end. I can’t believe so many people are willing to slow walk for hours hoping to get a lucky draw. Maddening.
