MinnMax's Ben Hanson, Kyle Hilliard, Jacob Geller, and Jeff Marchiafava rave about the new RPG Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 (join The Deepest Dive!) and unpack their nostalgic memories with the surprising release of the remaster for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. We also talk about the new puzzle platformer Bionic Bay, the experimental tabletop/video game hybrid from former Blizzard developers with Sunderfolk, Capcom's big remaster of Onimusha 2, and a whole lot more. Then we answer questions submitted by you all in the community!

Question - I just upgraded to the $5 tier. Do we get the video version of the podcast early or just audio? Thank you!

"Enjoy our corpses!" is my new favorite Hansen quote.

Transformers has the most BAD movies in a franchise. The 2 best films are still just "OK". All of the rest are pretty much garbage.

I'm really excited for Clar Obscur, I might pick it up today. I was also really excited because the timestamps were working properly until after the Clar Obscur portion, then I see a Turtle Beach and title. It's really disappointing as a long time supporter that the patreon feed is the afterthought. I think it's valuable to support independent media but the timestamps being an afterthought for the patreon feed is actively wracking my brain during my long commute. Sometimes I lose focus of the podcast and use the timestamps to see the topic of discussion and it's been unreliable. This means I'm often rewinding or waiting for audio cues to see what the topic of discussion is for when I regain focus. While a minor annoyance, it adds an unnecessary frustration as someone with ADHD who has trouble focusing to begin with. I know I'm sounding like a broken record, but it's gotten to the point for me where I'm contemplating my membership. The bonus content is amazing, especially Bonus Pod. I also think it's increasingly important to support small companies. But as Ben has said many times, we are not friends, this is a business transaction and I don't feel that MinnMax is fully providing what is expected.

Has Minnmax at any point commented on the fact that the BDS movement has called for a boycott of Microsoft? https://bdsmovement.net/microsoft It specifically calls out boycotting its gaming services as well as it's business side

Just started listening so this may come up but I've found deepL is better for translation, more natural and tends to do better with slang

As an enormous Oblivion fan, I definitely fall in the camp of being overjoyed by the remaster. I get to relive one of my favorite games with an awesome facelift… and slightly less egregious level scaling! lol
