Do you have clear delineations, on your schedule and in your mind, when you’re working versus when you’re not? Or since your field of work is in entertainment, is there a lot of bleedthrough between the two? For example, if you’re playing a video game “off the clock,” are you still formulating thoughts you’ll want to share in a professional setting? Does that make sense?

Stevelution

What’s worse, being too warm or too cold? You cannot change your temperature in this hypothetical.

Jump On Everything

What's in a name! Are there any popular video games that you think wouldn't be as successful if they had a worse title? If Balatro stuck with its original title of Joker Poker would it have still been a runaway success?

Neil Brown

Has any specific commercial or ad for a videogame successfully convinced you to check it out? Or what's been a commercial that's worked the best on you? (Largely thinking about TV commercials. Been thinking a lot about how there's likely a lot of people who have no information about a game and just like see a commercial during Super Bowl and go 'Oh cool, I'll buy that game now!')

Sam Hookom

How long until we stop using the term E3 to describe this week? I still see articles talking about the spirit of E3, and I’m wondering how long until the term dies, or is it the best shorthand to describe the showcase week?

Travis in Fargo

Is your favorite video game also the best video game you’ve ever played? Is there a difference?

Jacob Mazanowski

Can Old Game ever be as good as Old Books? Are games currently in a good enough place that in 30-40 years, old games will be as easy to go back to as an old book?

PoorAndCurly

No question, just glad that someone wants to talk about Motorslice and Luna Abyss, enjoyed both those very much. To highlight another lesser talked indie, Under the Island was a very enjoyable Minish Cap-like!

Swansonge

I’ve noticed myself using the phrase “I fear…” a lot in conversation and it’s almost definitely because of the amount of time I’ve spent listening to the Pew Pew Bang girlies. Is there a turn of phrase or word that you find yourself using in everyday conversations because you’ve heard in it a podcast, tv show, etc?

Bob Buel

Remember that cutscene in Yakuza Like a Dragon where he ate the bread in prison and it was just the single most realistic eating moment in gaming ever? What super specific graphics moments like this really sticks in YOUR memories?

Jack Tillman

What is your dream director and video game IP combo? Personally I'd love an Ari Aster Silent Hill, a Tarsem Singh Wind Waker, or a Christopher Nolan Control movie. PS - a few episodes ago during the sandwich discussion Ben mentioned never having a roast beef sandwich before which is insane. Ben, you must go to Little Bird Deli in South Minneapolis and get the Wesley. It's incredible. Minneapolis needs more sandwich shops but between Little Bird, Marty's, South Lyndale, 50th and France, and Cecil's we've got a good start. - Jack from South St. Paul

Hi crew, are there any developers where you don’t enjoy the game/games that they are most famous for but you have enjoyed other (smaller) games they’ve created? (As an example, for Spike Chunsoft I don’t like Danganronpa at all, but I loved Master Detectives Archive: Rain Code and have enjoyed the AI: Somnium Files games). Thanks!

Stay At Home Gamer

Just beat RE 4 Remake for the first time and immediately uninstalled the game. Not because I didn’t love it but it’s an experience that I was done with and I wanted to move onto another game. How long does a finished game stay in your storage? I assuming with the jobs you have it may not stay on for long. What criteria does the game have to fit to live eternally on your hard drive?

Nate Voris

When was the last time a cameo in a piece of media had a meaningful impact and didn't feel like fanservice? Do you generally enjoy cameos or do they take you out of the story?

Craig Lawrie

What's a video game ability you dislike but would love to have in real life? For me its "detective vision" like being able to see though walls and highlight items, would be so handy when im shopping or i can't find my phone!

PhillyYeetSteak

Hey minnmax, With sony pulling back from releasing single player games on steam and xbox refocusing on its own brand, there has been new debate on the value of console exclusives. Has your opinion of console exclusives changed over time?

Parker Aden

When was the last time you felt peer pressured (or had the fear of missing out) to play a game with friends? My friend group has fallen HAAAARRRDD into Final Fantasy 14. I know getting to the point of playing with them is an investment, and there are a lot of other games (like Saros and 007) that I want to get into and enjoy. What is the balance of gaming with friends and gaming on your own?

Michael Berry

Do you think we will get PowerStone 3? The Nividia leak from years back mentioned Power Stone, but enough time has passed and I am starting to have doubts.

tinnie

Recently I started listening to all the Minnmax shows from oldest to newest and it's kinda fun and strange to listen to some of you in the past predicting what's going to happen in the future of games or world in general now that 6 years has passed. Since all of you have a decent history of sharing your opinions online, do you ever look back at what you said or is it something you strictly avoid?

Mike R.

Hey Max Crew! Awesome job with the recent ty videos, lovin it! So just curious have any of you skydrive before? How was the experience like for you, and if not, would the crew consider a MinnMax skydive outing?

AnAttackCorgi

What’s up MinnMaxers! With all the console price hikes, I feel like our wonderful late stage capitalist society will make console ownership a subscription or offer payment plans (if they haven’t already!) What do you think about returning to the bartering system? What would you use to barter each other for the current generation of consoles? (Ex. Janet wants Leo’s Steamdeck, what would Leo want in return that’s not money?)

OozingNeon

I recently fell out of my workout routine, but when I noticed that Fitness Boxing feat. Hatsune Miku was on sale on the Nintendo eShop, I bought it and now have a pretty decent gamified daily workout, all thanks to my favorite virtual idol. Is there any figure/IP that would make you want to start a regular workout routine?

Jacob Mazanowski

No and yes Though my favorite game, Sifu, I think is massively underrated when it comes to quality

AnAttackCorgi

As a resident Canadian, too hot is far worse. If you’re cold, throw on a jacket or the heater. Without AC or a monster fan, you’re cooked if you’re too hot.

Travis in Fargo

My spouse, Whitney, has a question: would you rather have a third hand or quicker eyeballs to play video games better?

NoGoodMook

What game deserves to be played still 100 years from now?

HaulingGas

Hey horts and cohorts, we all say that our backlog of games is big enough to last us a lifetime. If I promise you that this is a safe space, will you be honest and give a guesstimate for: 1. What portion of those games you would play for longer than an hour? 2. Realistically, how many hours of entertainment would you get out of your backlog?

Thom Blackburn

Only so many pieces of clothing you can remove until you get arrested. I'd rather have cold

L Stockler

Hey! Since most (if not all) cohorts here have already gone to an international convention, what are their biggest differences, in your opinion, compared to american conventions?

Ultan O'Connell

Last week, Ben mentioned his 3 year old has been mostly screen free. How has Ben managed that while playing videogames for his job?

Kanchilla

When was the last time somebody convinced you that something you liked / thought was good actually wasn't that good?

SlyCut

Hello all, The near seven-year-old Episode 0 of The MinnMax Show came across my feed, so I rewatched it. At one point, Ben talks about looking back at this episode in the future and how "it's going to seem bizarre and wrong and ugly and stupid." Have any of you gone back to watch this and was Ben correct in your eyes? What would you tell yourselves then if you could? (I wish the algorithm had put this in my feed in time for last week's episode when the entire OG cast was on...)

Boondock-Bandit

Hi all, What’s your favorite Deepest Dive? Also, since I bet Ben knows, which Deepest Dive that had the most views/interactions? I only did Alan Wake II previously (THE DUST!), but I am enjoying the 007 First Light discussion so far!

Thom Blackburn

How sure are you that you aren't in a video game right now? What makes you so sure, tough guy?

Sky Fellowship

What with Starfox returning this month, are there any games where you feel a different regions name is a better name? Starfox over here used to be StarWing and then Lylat Wars, of course Resident Evil / Biohazard is probably the most famous example, but there's a lot of games out there with regionalised names. Feel The Magic XX/XY the very weird touch screen Warioware like for the Nintendo DS was a game I played a lot of, purely cause I love Rabbits and I bought it because over here it was called Rub Rabbits. I don't recall a single Bun Bun in the entire game.

SlyCut

He said you can't change your temperature. So you have to stay cold or stay hot and endure it with no relief. Cold is easily worse.

Tess

Hi MinnMax! Do you have a go-to fun fact about yourself for if you're ever asked to give one?

Derek Achoy

What’s a mistake you made in your youth that’s still affecting you today?

Fancygraham

With the Witcher 3 getting another expansion next year, what other 10-plus year old single player games deserve an expansion?

Richard Hayes

Suppose Disney acquires the rights to make a 007 theme park area similar to StarWars land. What attraction are you most excited for? Wandering themed areas, dark ride, stunt show, eves-dropping side-quest phone app, merch store, ordering something shaken not stirred. Anything else you’d want to see?

Richard Hayes

(Posting the below as a second question - not sure if we’re supposed to keep it to one per person per week) Sort these games in order of Light: 007 First Light, Dead by Daylight, Twilight Princess, Faster Than Light, Hyper Light Drifter.

Martin Hollis

What food do you despise that you feel you have to pretend to love for cultural / societal reasons?

phoenix

What are the chances of sending a rotating pair of cohorts to Japan annually so everyone can get the complete Muscle Girls experience?

Juniper Cain

Hi Minnmax crew! There's been a lot of praise for the amount you can customise and modify the gameplay experience of Mina the Hollower, though there's a few holdouts who refuse to engage with this VS the 'intended experience' so to speak. Where do you each fall on this? Are these options always good? Is there ever a point that developer intent gets undermined by how much of it you can strip away?

crab

If games could smell, would your favorite games smell good? If Tomb Raider on the ps1 was a yankee candle what would it smell like? Would Dark Souls smell like burnt stone and dumpster garbage? Help me minnmax!

Benji

Hey CLCs! What game (or games) have you gotten closest to finishing and not beaten? Mine are MGS4 (never made the time to watch the final 90 minute cutscene) and Blasphemous 2 (reached the final boss, realised I would take hours to learn to beat and decided I'd had enough)

Travis in Fargo

What texture is a Goomba? Do they have bones that crunch when Mario jumps on them? Are they sentient? What is Goomba “culture?”

Shane C

I know Geoff Keighley gets a lot of criticism (much of it deserved), but I don't think we talk enough about what a wildly unique position he occupies in the industry. He produces AND hosts both the biggest showcase of the year and the most high-profile industry awards show of the year. That's crazy! There's no other industry where one person wields that kind of power and visibility all rolled into one. Which makes me think: if you had to choose a single person to serve as a Keighley-style figurehead for another entertainment medium (movies, tv, print media), who would you choose?

p9xm

Happy June! Now that we northern hemisphere dwellers are entering our summer months, what's your favorite beach memory? I remember when I was a kid my sister and I made a big sand castle and then got slurpees afterwards.

PhatJ

It has been nearly six months since Pope Leo has blessed the minnmax crew. Since we’re nearly half way through the year, how has your gaming sins been thus far? Have you been a sinner or saint? Do you think you’ll face consequences like JeffM’s forced to listen to expedition 33 spoilers?

RamenDoodlesArt

With such titles like Mixtape and other Walking Sim/Interactive Movie genre being so divisive. Do we think it might actually be worth while to categorize them as something other than games, and something more akin to Interactive Media. As films designated a difference between Movies and Contemporary Motion Media like those you see in Fine Art galleries?

Chuck Zich

Would you rather: 1. Always have to be standing while you eat for the rest of your life or 2. Always have to get into your car through the opposite side you will sit (if you are driving, get in through passenger side and vice versa)?

Tikwid

Forget birth order and zodiac signs: What's your go to class/ archetype? We're talking the basics (rogue, warrior, mage etc.) or even more specifics (paladin, archer, wizard, necromancer). What archetypes do you wish had better representation? What's your prefered archetype for your gaming partner to play as? To me, this tells *so much* about a person.

Ashley Dean

My 8 year old son asks… ‘why don’t you ever talk about Minecraft’ 😂 Seriously though, if Minecraft came out as a brand new game (in its current state) in 2026, how do you think it would land? Would it make it into the Two Tens?

resnet

Hi MinnMax! What subculture do you miss or want to see more in games? Personally I really miss the Hip Hop era of games where skateboarding, hiphop and rap music and graffiti were in so many games. Bring it back!

Nathan Ryer

Hey MinnMax! If you could be Isekaied into any video game world, what would it be? Would be the hero, the villain, a random NPC just living life? How about the reverse? What character would you like to drag into our world and be friends with?

Jon

Hello, you have been transported into Mina the Hollower and become the main character in the game. Your name replaces Mina, but what noun replaces Hollower and how does that change the game?

Lamb Dance

Hey MinnMax. We got the announcement this week of Digital Eclipse's latest release, a collection of classic Toy Story games. I'm interested in this one for Digital Eclipse's involvement, but to be honest I never touched any of these games despite having loved Toy Story as a kid, so I might not have the necessary nostalgia for it. What older licensed games do you have genuine nostalgia for? Any you would go as far as to call hidden gems?

Ashley Dean

I think Skyrim is a perfect name for a video game - might have been a different legacy of they called it Philabieldia 🤷‍♂️

Hi MinnMax! What moment in a game trailer surprised you and made you think "hell yeah"? What moment completely soured you on the game?

Catpurrnicus

Rogue games have become increasingly popular. Can you blind rank these rogue events from least maddening to most maddening? 1. Killed by a low level character when you have enough currency for a level up. 2. A boss killing you and you still have all your health potions. 3. Dying by fall damage because you mis-timed a jump. 4. Dying when the boss has only a sliver of health left. 5. Finally defeating a boss only for them to transform into a second form.

Dayten Rose

How has working in games affected your relationship to sleep? I recently moved into my own place where I don't have to worry about bothering roommates, and now I'm fighting for my life every night to not just nolife Deadlock till 3am. This problem seems unique to video games. Have y'all had to set guardrails for yourselves, or is late night gaming just part of the terrain?

Bon Jon Bovi

Loving 007 so far, but the title screen is hilariously bad. Just a big plain JPEG of Bond right in the center of the screen. Title screens have been really lackluster for a while, I think. When was the last time a title screen has wowed you?

Andrew Clabaugh

What’s your favorite walk/run animation in gaming?

Mcdoeswell

Hello there MinnMax! How do you choose games that are outside of your wheelhouse of interest? Does universal acclaim play a factor or just trying to stay in the conversations about certain zeitgeisty games?

Elz

I’m a big believer in sipping a mug of piping hot black coffee while playing JRPGs!!! Do you have any recommendations for drinks that go with the other genres?

Jeeo Banogy

Hey Minnmaxers! Is 30 days normally enough time for you to lock in a purchase you were on the fence on? How long does it take you to truly lock in that purchase? Could you do with a 15 day return window or maybe even a 5 day return window? Thanks!

thejjuan1

Hi Minnmax Are game companies giving GTA 6 too much runway? Onimusha, wolverine, blood of the dawnwalker, phantom blade 0, gears E day, control and silent hill are all coming out in September now. Even Fable got delayed to next year. All to avoid this one game. I feel like they are shooting themselves in the foot. They now have to compete against many big games instead of one. Is GTA 6 really going to take that much air from other game releases? I know 80% of the population will get this game. But they will be gamers that won’t give a shit about GTA 6. Especially PC and switch owners Rand on the newest episode of Xbox Duke podcast said according to his sources. At the end of October, all of November and December belong to Rockstar. Just to get out of the “blast zone”. Game companies need to stop being so scared of GTA 6. I think they are giving too much power for this one game.

Hillary

What video game series would make a good book series? On the flip side, what book series would you want to see adapted into a video game?

Darwin

Lately, I’ve noticed some outlets telling people to ‘shut up!’ when it comes to things like 80$ Mario Kart and 70$ games that only last 3-5 hours. Do you think this is burn out from qualifying discussions with the cost/content metric, more access to disposable income, getting married to partners with steady income? Something else?

Chris Pelley

How many SGF trailers do you think you actually see in a week? Of those, how many do you think you'll actually play? More than 10%? 25%?

SlyCut

Hello all, In Jurassic park, when Gennaro runs to the bathroom and Malcolm answers Grant, "When you gotta go, you gotta go," and they then see the t-rex escape her paddock, Malcolm says, "Boy, do I hate being right all the time." Malcolm is talking about how he predicted something like the t-rex escape would happen, right? But for over thirty years, ever since I was a kid, I thought he meant he was right about when you gotta go, you gotta go and that he was saying he just wet himself. It just hit me what he actually meant when I watched it again with my kids for the first time. Have you ever had a long lived misunderstanding of something like that?

NoWarpZones

How many decisions away from a completely different life are you?

Jeff Britton

What long dormant Sony property do you most want to see a new entry for, and which one should get the poison shuriken?

CJ W.

What's a dumb thing you've done recently? While driving to get some takeout recently I drove past the place, had to go around a roundabout, and then u-turn to get to the restaurant. I did this 4 times before I actually remembered to take the turn into the parking lot.

NoWarpZones

What room did you most recently leave for the last time in your life?

Wajora

15 years ago I went into regular software development over game development for the simple reason that Germany (and Europe as a whole) didn't particularly feel like top players in the industry. Of course I'm not saying that there weren't great games being made here but in my mind all the games that truly blew me away at the time were made in Japan and North America. Fast forward to 2026 and I noticed the other day that 3 of the last 5 TGA winners were made in Europe (and one had a French director!) and even more importantly some of MinnMax'favourites also include the likes of IOI, Housemarque and Remedy. Is this coincidence or did European studios really step up their game this past decade? If so, what do you think made it happen?

James B

what video game movement technique do you most wish you could do in real life?

Fancygraham

What are some of your favourite portmanteaus? I recently came across “parkitecture” and thought that was delightful.

giuliano

When was the last time in your life you were moved to tears by a piece of art?

Malcolm Holliday

What's a non video game soundtrack you think would fit in a video game as it's main soundtrack?

WeGoGiant

What's the real State of Play? (What US state do you think has the highest percentage of people who play video games and why?) I tried to look it up, but it appears different surveys disagree with each other so I doubt we know for sure

Sergio

Hello, Minnmax! On Bluesky Jacob complained about the asperity of Mina the hollower but stated that he wouldn't use the many difficulty modifiers it includes because he wanted to have the experience the developers intended. One hand I don't really agree because a game having 300 difficulty modifiers seems like a core design idea that you're meant to embrace and it's what the developers intend... but then I do agree with Jacob because those base settings are what they opted to stick with as the default and those are choices worth interacting with? And doesn't allowing the player to change so many design choices show a lack of faith in your own game? But then didn't Silksong allow you to have seven different main air attacks that fundamentally changed your movement? At what point do you not consider something an intended experience? Apologies if this rambled but I'm torn on this and would like to know where you stand.

BEEFCAKE

I can adjust to heat easier

Travis in Fargo

What’s your level of affection with your friends? Hugs? Do you say “I love you?”

Vilis

So, Video Game Violence, a topic as old as gaming. I was watching the Sony State of Play and the "ILL" trailer started and I was just left wondering: is there a point to this trailer aside from gore and blood? I could hardly parse a plot or setting, simply that I'd be confronted with the gnarliest viscera I've seen in a while. By contrast, Until Dawn 2 also looked quite gruesome, but I understood the context for that violence. Just something which crossed my mind.

SlyCut

Hello all, You've discovered a cheat menu for real life. You've narrowed it down to two cheats and you can only activate one of them. Which do you activate? Give me $100,000 (one time) No fall damage

Willa BW

After that State of Play, do we think God of War has much more juice in it? I guess the idea of a massive amalgam of pantheons was cool when I was 19 when 2018 came out, but in this post Avengers: Endgame world, I'm just tired

Jeorin

Hello MinnMax crew! What do you consider to be the most important characteristic of a good villain?

Nathan

I’m sick. What are some good sick games? I could use a real chicken noodler 🤧

Shane G

How often in your life have you listened to a commentary track, like for a movie on a DVD or Blu-Ray? Also, can you please share a memorable anecdote or something that you recall from one that you've listened to.

Aging_Poorly

Hey B and Cs, Sounds like Jacob isn’t a big pokemon guy. I get it. What is the biggest (in terms of popularity) game or gaming franchise that you’ve never dipped into, and why? What, if anything, would get you to check it out?

Infinite

Hello friends! Missed joke opportunity! While discussing 007: First Light, JeffM was talking about how he was happy that the game gave you so much agency…. …and no one piped up after him to say “yeah, SECRET agency”. Love the shows! Bye!

CrabPalace

What video game character would make the best cohort?

Thom G

The other night I was making coffee for the morning like a responsible adult and found out I was out of coffee filters. Quite the gumption trap but managed with some oversized ones I from obviously the last time I ran out. Are there any regular house hold items the you stupidly run out of??

Nemesis

WHAT WAS LEO’s MILLION DOLLAR IDEA????!!!! Do any cohorts also have a million dollar idea? Could we get a retrospective of the best shows the Leo//Win show has killed?

Brocquin Alexander

Hello MinnMax, I've been making an active effort to play more indie games this year and so far it's been great! I've noticed that a lot of my favorite indie games this year focus heavily on one specific idea, i.e. Thick as Thieves and it's stealth, People of Note with its themeing, and Scarlet Hollow with its choice focused narrative. I love how much attention is focused on its core, even if other parts of the game can feel a little less polished. Does anyone have games that hyper focus on one idea that they love? My favorites are Sifu, Furi, and Outer Wilds.

Kevin

Yacht Club Games has created their iterations of Mario and Zelda, and both heavily involve digging. What classic series could they put their own spin on next while continuing to use digging as a core mechanic?

Brandon Milligan

Do you think people properly appreciate Jason Statham? Man has been an action movie machine for like 20 something years now and I don't think he gets the respect he deserves.

Tom Rickard

Hey Minnmax! My wife and I recently started watching Adventure Time and are really enjoying it but it got me thinking. I always assumed that show was dumb and for super young kids when it's definitely anything but that with some surprisingly heavy themes. Has there ever been a piece of media you had a complete wrong idea about, only to later fall in love with it? Thanks for all the hard work!

DontBashAsh

As a gamer, is it better to date a fellow gamer (shared interests are awesome!) or a non-gamer (we don’t have to fight over the console/handheld/TV!)?

Graham Jones

Hey Crew, recently I feel like we have seen the birth of a new type of game I am going to call "playable movie" games like First Light and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. These games have taken IPs that have not had recent critical acclaim and created new great stories to help put the IPs back on the map. What do you think is the next IP that needs this treatment? Personally I feel like Jurassic park is ripe for a game like this.

Alex Peters

Is it Kraft Macaroni and Cheese? Or Kraft Dinner?

Stephen Woodson

I didn't expect Sony Santa Monica to give us a companion cube before Valve. (The companion cube was my favorite part of the God of War Laufey trailer)

Bloody Waffle

What's a YouTube rabbit hole, obscure website, or piece of media you've fallen into recently that has absolutely nothing to do with games?

OddJackBourne

Hi MinnMax crew! So, I had a tasty-looking bowl of black garlic oil tonkatsu ramen the other day, but somehow the broth had zero flavor. Everything else in the ramen tasted great, but the key component of it, despite it looking the part, may as well have been hot, brown water. So my question to you all: what's the video game equivalent to that bowl of ramen?

Jack Seage

What do you all like for question of the week?

Kenjamin

What’s the weirdest age to be?

Rene Nunez

Who is the game industry equivalent of the "500k dollars or dinner with Jay Z" question?

Josh M

From a recent comment Janet made about playing your own music instead of the game's playing soundtrack (as good as Metroid Prime's music is, that game was such a vibe with some Linkin Park when I was young), if you could make the call on licensing music, which combo of game franchise and music artist would you love to see together?

Daniel Arslan

Switching up the protagonist of a franchise is not unprecedented but still always feels controversial, what do you think makes it a successful creative decision vs a failure to meet expectations?

Denham Harry

Does the gelatinous cube voiced by Jack Quaid being called ‘Frank’ give off too much “Uh… they’re right behind me, aren’t they 😏”

Mason Cowell

Hello all! What is your one exception game? By that I mean, what game do you love despite it being in a genre that you generally have zero interest in? For me it is LotR, Battle for Middle Earth 2 on the Xbox 360 despite never playing another RTS before or since. Sorry Ben!

Bryan Tylec

I was laid off earlier this year so I haven’t really bought a new game in a long time. Consequently, my top 5 of the year so far are all games I haven’t actually played. I just watched a streamer play them (and, yes, Haley and Sarah’s RE: Requiem playthrough was one of them). Do you guys think there is any value, as a reviewer, in making a list like that without having the full experience of a game? Or does that seem intellectually dishonest to you?

Tony Mayato

Dear MinnMax At approximately 3:50 yesterday afternoon, I sent the following message to our group chat, “Yall, my dream for the State of Play would be remaster of the stuntman game” Then, well, you watched it you know what happened. I will now use my very obvious skills in prophecy to safely predict you will read the following question(I have picture evidence): Do you think that as time moves forward, presumably infinitely, or until the sun explodes, that the video game idea tank will run dry? It already feels like completely unique games come out few and far between and what get mostly are creative iterations on previous ideas. Will it even matter? 100000 years from now will we have just forgotten so much that it will seem like new ideas?

Connor

Just saw the Minnmax Instagram reel about the new God of War announcement, and a few of the comments reacting to it— question for the group: while I largely agree with the sentiment that the game looks a little less exciting than I want it to, how do you balance putting out a reaction clip that skews negative with the larger internet hate already happening against the new game because of “woke” or whatever? Obviously vocal minority, we shouldn’t censor our opinions, etc, but is it hard as content creators to juggle wanting to be truthful in your reactions and ALSO not feed into bad-faith discourse?

Duderado

What's the most recent moment in a video game that brought you to tears?

Josh LaBaw

Howdy Cohorts, You find a fourton telling machine to reverse BIG (you know the 1988 Tom Hanks classic) yourself. You can now take your adult brain to a current younger generation. What generation do you choose to drop into & why?

Lauren

I have been playing Witcher 3 for the past month, and I love it! However, my witcher 3 journey started 5 years ago, where I finished the tutorial and went, "hey, i'm not in the right headspace for this game" and walked away! I think turning off all the map icons really helped me get into the game. All those question marks felt overwhelming, and removing them made exploring more exciting. Have any of you ever revisited a game, TV show, or film when you knew you were finally ready for it and ended up having a blast?

I've been replaying the Mario RPG remake recently, and I realized that Mario never makes the peace gesture like he did in the SNES version. Apparently, the internet says it's because Miyamoto thought it was too childish. Now Mario only tips his cap. Are there any minor changes in remakes or localizations that have stood out to any of you? Has anything really made you mad or happy that it got changed from a different version of a game you like? Is there anything in a current game that you predict will be altered or removed in a remake 15 years from now?

If Tetris blocks existed in real life, would they be flushable? Could you send a Tetris block down the toilet without it causing any kind of damage?

What’s your favorite developer supporting their game after launch game? For me the newer the lords of the fallen was amazing a really rough start but kept being supported and fixed plus all the added content for free CI Games went above and beyond with their support .
