MinnMax's Ben Hanson, Jacob Geller, Janet Garcia, Leo Vader, and Kyle Hilliard share their favorite games and reveals from the big kick-off to the summer gaming reveal season with Sony's State of Play. The big talker is a new God of War game from Santa Monica Studio starring Kratos' wife Laufey in the afterlife. We also unpack Insomniac's Wolverine, Ace Combat 8, Rayman Legends Retold, and a whole lot more. Then we shed some light on two great independent games recently released called Luna Abyss and Motorslice. After that, it's nothing but your questions!

Harry Branch

podcast so early i did a backflip

Jeremy Stasyszen

You and me both Jacob. Been waiting on Ill since the old 2020 tech demo trailers for it. I didn't think it was a real game until this year. Maybe Little Devil Inside will finally get an update, too!

Philip Flood

This isn't showing up on my podcast feed for some reason, I'm using spotify

Braulio Martinez

Yeah, it's not in my patreon exclusive feed either

Braulio Martinez

Kyle is wild. The one shot thing comes from film, it's not a game-exclusive thing. Poor Jacob

beargrub

at 11:43 leo mentions the pronunciation of laufey as perfect compared to ragnarök, but that’s like not at all how the name laufey is actually pronounced lol

beargrub

poor jacob how? bc he had to talk to someone with a different opinion than him? also not to put words in his mouth, but i don’t think that’s how kyle even meant that

Philip Flood

Seems to be there now for me, must have been some weird delay

Braulio Martinez

Woah buddy, relax. It's a big leap from "poor Jacob" to what you are claiming I said. Touch grass then listen to the pod

Hector

Jacob with ball knowledge of BLAME!

Brandon Milligan

I think Ben and Jacob are severely underestimating how fast you'd be abducted by the government and tested on if you had no fall damage. That's crazy to think you could make money off of it by publicly announcing you are the only person in history to have a superpower by making videos of it.

All star lineup, great ep. Jacobs such an artsy fart of a guy, I love him. We have made two games in the entirety of games where they commit to this one shot gimmick and hes literally advocating for them to drop it because its tired and overdone to him. TWO EXIST OUT OF HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF GAMES FRIEND, its not tired quite yet haha! In regards to new show plus it feels like you guys need something in place for when this happens and you clearly arent interested or fulfilled by doing more episodes but they keep winning.

Lilly S

As a new mom, I really appreciate everyone jumping on the "mom with a sword, is awesome", because this is exactly the type of game I didn't even know I needed. Plus of course she's a badass warrior, who else was Kratos going to marry in Norse Mythology!?

Jump On Everything

I am so happy to hear Jacob is on the ace combat train, franchise deserves so much more love
