Hey! What's your favorite Star Fox quote?

Travis in Fargo

What video game would make the best primetime televised gameshow adaptation? And why hasn’t there been a Jackbox gameshow?!

Michael Christoffel

What’s the panel’s thoughts on Disclosure Day? Has everyone gotten a chance to see it yet?

Jacob Mazanowski

In cooking, if you add a squeeze of lemon or some kind of acid, it enhances flavor in really necessary ways… what is the s squeeze of Lemon when it comes to video games?

Gooseberry

If alcohol was introduced in 2026 for the first time, how would society react?

Channing Potatum

I’ve been replaying FFVII Remake and Rebirth while following the Deepest Dives again. These are some of the best MinnMax content ever and I dearly hope that Ronnie and Grant can return for Revelations when it releases next year. Will that be the case?

Jacob Mazanowski

What’s your favorite thing to do for other people? I love cooking and sharing food with people

J.Vaso

Has there ever been a piece of media that had a profound effect on you despite being otherwise mid or even bad? Seth Rogan's An American Pickle is not a particularly great movie but I found myself being moved by the scene where young Seth reconnects with his Judaism and was inspired to try to do the same.

John Ford

How do you look back on pre-2023 "Procedurally Generated" games from before AI became what it is now? Not just procedurally generated worlds like Minecraft, but ones that sold themselves as infinite story generators. Wildermyth comes to mind, and Shadows of Doubt, for example. Does the role of AI in gaming now retroactively poison your opinions of those types of games (which were positively received at the time), or do they feel somehow different?

Bon Jon Bovi

Are there any Nintendo games you would consider indisputable masterpieces that are not a part of the following franchises? - Mario (and spinoffs) - Zelda - Super Smash Bros - Pokémon - Metroid - Star Fox - Donkey Kong - Yoshi Do any of Nintendo's minor franchises have a masterpiece in your eyes?

Jacob Mazanowski

I didn’t for remake, but I’m doing the same for Rebirth. Love the deepest dives! If MinnMax has them for any games, I always play along

Vin!!

Hi MinnMax crew! I loved last weeks episode with Jason and the large Xbox discussion. Such a great chat, and it got me thinking: what *would* the industry look like if Xbox decided to bow out from gaming? What impact would that have on the industry and what would be gained and what would be lost? By the way- not asking this to get the objective, “correct” answer, because I know we’d never be able to make one. Just what *you* think would happen! okay bye love u all! :D

whitemex

What is/was your go to activity at the playground? Monkey bars, swing, slides, that Zipline thing?

Palo

There was a big Dead By Daylight 10 year blowout (which Minnmax covered very well), but I have to ask. What would Behaviour Interactive have to add to the game to get any of you to play it?

Jacob Mazanowski

Fall guys… but that’s basically wipe out or legends of the hidden temple

Lucas S

Hi MinnMax, The Steam Machine reveal has me thinking. What’s your favorite cube? Could be anything in cube form or is best experienced in the form of a cube. Will accept things to the power of 3 as well. Just none of that rectangle BS.

J.Vaso

Now that the girls are gone, how would you rank all the major Harrison Ford roles in terms of power level? And why is his character from Shrinking so high in the ranks?

Neal McMahon

Hey MinnMax, I recently found myself playing through The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker on Nintendo Online for the Switch 2. I put roughly 100 hours into it and honestly loved every minute. The day I finished it, I still had a craving for more Zelda — but I couldn't find an entry in the series I hadn't already played. So what did I do? I went to YouTube and stumbled onto the two DS games: Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks. Part of me knew I'd never actually play them — the entire thing is played with a stylus, and I haven't touched my 3DS in about four years. But another part of me just couldn't resist. I hopped on GameStop and bought both for around $80 with shipping. And of course, to absolutely no one's surprise, they've been sitting untouched ever since with no plans to change that anytime soon. So my question for you is: have you ever enjoyed a game so much that you went out and bought a sequel or prequel in the series knowing full well you'd probably never play it?

Neil Brown

Howdy Minnmax! We tend to see books get adapted into movies, and games adapted into movies, but why do we very rarely ever get books directly adapted to games first? Cheat sheet for the main ones I could think of: (Metro, Witcher, Pillars of Earth, Dante's Inferno???)

J.Vaso

Obviously Call of Duty. Haven't you ever seen Gerard Butler's Gamer?

Jacob Mazanowski

I think that is different. Procedural generated levels or stories is similar to building an AI for enemy behavior. Generative AI is a totally different beast. AI has been in games for almost as long as games themselves. Generative AI stealing peoples creativity and knocking humans out of the equation is a totally different thing.

Hey MinnMax, Do you guys not like being perceived by restaurant workers? I work next to Jimmy John's and get a sandwich there about once a week, sometimes every other week. I usually order through the app and go in to pick it up about 15 minutes later. They always ask me the name for the order. This week I walked in and a young woman who's worked there awhile saw me, grabbed my bag from a line up of pick up orders, and handed it too me without me being able to say anything yet. Nothing they did was wrong but for some reason my mind does not like that I am more than a random customer now. Is this a weird thought to have?

Wajora

Hey crew! I recently played Sin & Punishment for the first time and thought it was really cool that they designed that game around the idea of holding the N64 controller with the left and middle prong. Are there any other games like that that used their controller in a unique or unusual way?

Martin Hollis

You can only have one more breakfast for the rest of time. What is it? (Mine would be scrambled eggs)

Phelix Diaz

It always surprises me that game developers are usually supportive of other development teams in an industry where fans can be pretty toxic. I'm sure there's competition and animosity but you rarely see it being publicized. Why do you think video game fans are different in this aspect compared to the artists in the industry? What other industry fandom (music, sports...) compares to video games fandom?

JessHawk

"I can't let you do that Starfox!" "Do a Barrel Roll!" what are your favorite video game quotes that you quote frequently? One of my favorites is from Halo 2 "The message repeats... Regret, Regret, Regret" like when I'll likely drink too much on 4th of July. "Metal Gear? Psychomantis?" Best wishes!

SlyCut

Hello all, You each have to pick one to stand and fight for to the death, if necessary. Which cereal is the best?

Swansonge

Hey MinnMax! A bit of a meta question here, but what makes a good question that really stands out to you, and makes you want to give it a thumbs up and answer it on the show? Hopefully answering this question is beneficial twofold in that it helps create some interesting questions for the cohorts to answer and helps get more peoples’ question read out!

Thom Blackburn

With the future of Xbox being so dire, I have an option that might just save everything: The Xbox alternate reality machine. You can go back in time and change a single peice of news about Xbox. This is a hail Mary. Fix EVERYTHING

Liz Phillips

I’ve been playing and enjoying 007 First Light and think Patrick Gibson is great in the role. Who would you pick to be the next Bond in the movies?

Brian W

Is the switch 2 a Wii U? Or is its redemption arc still to come?

Guy Night Gaming

I'm recently a new Dad and my new Dad game was 007 which I think was the perfect new Dad game. For the Dads on the show what was your new Dad game and what would the non-Dads' new Dad game be?

Salar

Hello MinnMax. Have any of you properly tried playing Marathon? I was skeptical at first but after trying it recently I got hooked. This game is now my GOTY. There is so much depth in the gameplay loop and the lore and vibes are immaculate. Other than the bad press what do you think is stopping most people from giving this game a chance?

Linktrev

Hey MinnMax, A gaming apocalypse has happened and the entire industry has been wiped out. You four have been chosen to bring back five studios to rebuild gaming from the ground up. Which five do you choose to create the healthiest, most diverse gaming industry possible?

Jonathan Fenn

Hey Minnmaxers, I just finished Dungeons of Hinterberg and loved it. Inspired by that game: What's the best game where the protagonist is on holiday? Hard mode: No Mario Sunshine

Steve Z

Given the mixed reaction to the Star Fox redesigns, what do you think a live action version of Star Fox could look like (in the style of the 1993 Super Mario Bros movie). Who would you cast? Would you want them in a full fur suit?

Shawninator

Hey folks! Which board game component is best? - Dice - Cards - Plastic Cubes/Pieces/Figures - Wooden Cubes/Pieces/Figures - Metal Cubes/Pieces/Figures - Paper Money - Other I love to deluxify a game with all sorts of metal stuff, but it's hard to beat the nice would pieces of Catan. Cards are the main medium in a lot of games, but dice have the random factor! And they can also be made of wood, plastic, or metal! Too much overlap and too many options! Good luck.

Luciano Comassetto

What are your go-to settings to change when starting a new game? In 3rd person games i always turn off the setting to have the camera follow the character. I can't stand the game pulling the camera back behind the character constantly.

Jeff Britton

With the recent "trend" of games with muppet aesthetics (Felt That: Boxing, and Slap To It), would you have rather seen Nintendo lean fully in and give the Starfox crew the look of the puppets from the original commercials? What look do you think they'll use in the inevitable movie?

Austin Taylor

What is your realistic hope for the game studios that are currently on the chopping block over at Xbox? We all have the fantasy of Double Fine being the next Bungie, but if you had money on it, what's your call?

Ken H (Kenny2Slice)

Greetings MinnMax, You’re playing a game, having a good time, and you discover a new move, item, what have you that seems to be quite effective. Some more time goes by and you find it is making things a little trivial. Do you continue to use this method because you deserve a little treat or try your best to avoid it because you want to retain the challenge you may have had prior to the discovery? Thanks and I’ll take my answer off the air.

Aging_Poorly

This show has, a few separate times, discussed, lamented or joked about long periods between mainline entries in GTA, Elder Scrolls, even Zelda. Why does 3D Mario get a pass? October 27 will mark 9 years since Mario Odyssey. Given that most kids don’t really follow video game news or anticipate new releases until the age of 9 or 10, that means that there are college students who have *never* anticipated an upcoming 3D Mario game. Does this not sum up *the* major problem with the AAA gaming space? What’s the ideal amount of time between 3D Mario games? Surely it’s not 10 years. Why do you think Nintendo hasn’t done a barely-different Odyssey 2 (like they did with Galaxy)?

Travis in Fargo

Is there any video game that you all can agree is a 5/10?

Josh LaBaw

Hey there all, Why don't we talk about Bruno? I assume Bruno is the name of the long lost MinnMax minnow mascot. That design ruled. Got my Tee shirt on right now.

Random Oil Man

What's the sentence you've said the most in reviewing games? I think mine is "I liked the art, but..."

Cass Wilkinson Saldaña

Hi MinnMax cohorts! I’m rewatching Psych Odyssey (partly in light of the latest Microsoft Stuff, partly bc it’s becoming a comfort rewatch). I love how the series portrays collaborative creativity - very messy yes, but also full of beautiful moments of empathy and surprise. As people who seem to engage in a mix of individual + group creativity, what do you find most compelling about creating in a group? What kinds of creative environments and situations bring out your best, weirdest, most expressive selves?

Travis in Fargo

What’s the proudest you’ve ever been to see your name listed or printed somewhere?

Nathan Ryer

Hey MinnMax! What is your favorite rhythm game? I would personally go with the first DS game I ever bought which was Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan. It was a real step up from the great PS1 games that came before and I don’t think has been topped yet. I am really looking forward to the new Rhythm Heaven game.

FinalSin

Hey People, do you have a junk drawer, and what random junk do you keep in it??

Maxence Matteau

When you review a game, do you ever think of the impact that review might have on sales? Do you tend to be nicer to games you feel passionate about or you'd like to succeed? Especially when the game is in early access?

Alastair

When I was growing up, the conventional wisdom was always to have your game out by thanksgiving so it could be sold for Christmas. Does Christmas still matter for planning? I feel there’s plenty of room to release in November and share sales in December, especially if everyone buys GTA in November and now there’s nothing to get for Christmas or have digital sales so encompassed the industry that there’s no real seasonality anymore?

Rikimaru

Hi MinnMax! “Games take too long to make” but isn't that okay? This year, it will have been 13 years between GTA 5 and 6 but fans of GTA have online, Red Dead, and games outside of Rockstar. Here are a few other series that have had a long wait: 7 years: Final Fantasy XV to XVI 10 years: Pikmin 3 to 4 11 years: Diablo III to IV 13 years: Alan Wake 1 to 2 18 years: Metroid Prime 3 to 4 Do we all need to be more open to new IPs, series, and indies? There is so much to play, it's hard to imagine running out of games in a genre. And with studios like Saber Interactive and Team Ninja putting out more than a game per year, does it feel like there is a good balance of AA games to offset the long wait for AAA?

pork bun powered

Hi MinnMax! I have fond memories of playing the PC Gamer demo disks as a kid. I didn't have a very good internet so I just played whatever games came loaded on those CDs. As a result, I've put probably hundreds of hours into the Rise of Nations demo alone. What demo do you think you've played the most and why?

OhMyBlob

Is there a more unfortunate name in video games than Slippy Toad? I feel like his parents didn’t set him up to succeed - that’s on them

Bilseph

Hey MinnMaxians! Congratulations! You've been given the power to remake/remaster one single experience from your life! What experience would you choose and would you change or adjust anything?

Fancygraham

Is it worth getting a Steam Machine at launch, given that it’ll probably get a price hike in a year or two?

Travis in Fargo

This past week, I’ve been sick with a sinus infection, sore throat, and double pinkeye, so I’ve had a lot of time on my hands. I played through Citizen Sleeper and watched the first season of Twin Peaks. Although I’ve felt miserable, it was amazing having enough time to dive deep into these, and now I adore both. Have you ever had unexpected downtime from being sick or something else where you got deep into something you otherwise wouldn’t have had time for?

Alon Zwick

Hi Crew! I see that it is a GUYS NIGHT for the MinnMax show! What is the perfect "Guys Night" as an adult in your mind?

Joey Crundwell

Heyyy MinnMax! Are ya’ll visiting SGDQ again this year? I missed you last year but would love to say hi if anyone plans on attending this time around. Keep up the great work! Love you parasociallyyyyyy. 🫶🏻

RynaGoGo

Howdy MinnMax, What is the most popular TV show you watch that you have never met another enjoyer of? My wife got us started on Britbox shows and we’ve been watching Death in Paradise. Being in the states we had never heard of it before but apparently it’s big since it has 15 seasons and 2 spin off shows. Fun show! Turns out those British people know how to make good tv!

mapleviolet

recently it was announced that the studio who made mio memories in orbit was shutting down. it made me think, did anyone benefit from the success of hollow knight and silksong other than team cherry? is there a real concept of an “indie community” or are there just hundreds of disparate studios?

Brian Martinez

I just finished a 150 hour playthrough of BG3 with my cousins. We played weekly for about a year and four months. Neither had really played games since the ps2/ps3 era but had kept hearing about this game and wanted to give it a shot. It was the best and messiest time I've had playing a game in a long time! Do y'all have any lapsed friends or family members that you've had to coach back into gaming? P.S. we're playing sea of thieves next

Vilis

Better Quest, go! I just recently completed a year of consistently playing Hatsune Miku Fitness Boxing, and while I wouldn't say it has turned me into a lean mean fighting machine, the regular stretching and activity, not to mention encouragement from the Digital Diva herself, have definitely made me healthier. And to work in a question, are there any video games the crew have played for more than a year for the purposes of fitness? For the purpose of this we will count things like DDR or Beat Saber so long as the goal was fitness.

Vilis

It's a wild game. I really liked Sin & Punishment 2 on the Wii.

Ashley Dean

I started Forza Horizon 6, but I wasn’t really getting much new out of the franchise after pouring weeks of my life into Horizons 4 and 5. Then the winter season came around and I was immediately back into the game. I put this down to 2 things. 1. There’s something really cozy about winter levels in games - maybe it’s the nostalgia of snow days off school or the contrast between the cold on the screen and the warmth of the couch? 2. I attended Hiroshima University on a study abroad program in 2002/3 (Shout out to fellow alumni JeffM!) and this game (especially in the Winter Season) has sent me back to that time like no medium has even stirred memories in me before. Something about the lighting, the sound design, the beautifully realised views in every direction transports me back 24 years to a place I loved but have never had chance to return to. The visuals on screen helped me access long dormant memories of the smell of the crisp, cold air on my daily walk from our dorms to the university campus in the idyllic mountain town of Saijo. So I guess I’ve got 2 questions : 1. What are the cohorts favourite winter levels or areas in games, 2. Which game environments transport you to another place? (Also, if JeffM would like to share any memories of his time in Saijo, I’d love to hear them!) Thanks!

Brian Lyness

Hey lads! Have you ever had grief about gaming too much from a partner or your parents back when you were a kid? Or do you think you would currently if it wasn't your job to play & talk about games? My wife would roll her eyes the odd time when I go on a session of Rocket League with a friend. I would go on twice a week for a couple of hours each time. I'd regularly get the line "when will you be off that thing?" I try not to bite back :D

Wajora

That's what I'm playing now, it rules!

Chris Pelley

What game do you know most about without ever playing it yourself? For instance, I watched a bunch of resident playthroughs (MinnMax, Nextlander, Kyle Bosman) but I won't ever touch it myself.

Dec

Hi. Ben mentioned Stadia a few times recently. Do you think Sony is quietly delivering on the streaming promise with the portal and ps premium subscription meaning you don’t actually need a ps5 to play ps5 games?

Limp Bizquick

What 2 cohorts would make the best team on the amazing race?

Michael Berry

With the recent price announcements and sticker shock for the steam machine, I am nostalgic for the old flash sales that Sony had during the PS3 days. I had fond memories of hoarding all kinds of experimental indies during these $1 sales. I bought games I probably would not have like Telltales Jurassic Park game, that game is way better than the reception it got. Do you have any fond memories of really good deals that you took advantage of?

Sergio

Hello, Minnmax! Apparently as I'm writing this it is national "let it go" day. In an industry that demands you care so much in order to get through the hard times whilst you're also fighting every moment to keep your heads above water, when do you know to let things go? Do you think with age that you are better at discerning between important and needless conflicts?

Andrew

It is 2035. Climate change has drastically altered our planet. In a last ditch attempt, a country in partnership with private enterprise, send a series of satelites with selectively permeable membranes. This network sits in orbit between us and the sun to limit the amount of solar energy we receive. A diplomatic dispute leads this country to using the satelites to selectively block out the sun for non-cooperative countries. The non-cooperative countries in retaliation attempt to hack the satelites. In the process they brick the satelites leading to an unending night across the world. We will send missiles to destroy the satelites to prevent a global extinction but it'll take at least 2 weeks. What games would you want to play while waiting?

Rene Nunez

What game studio that you've visited has the nicest bathrooms?

KayBree

Hello! If you could eat one food only found in a video game, what would it be?

Duderado

What's your second favorite video game of all-time? As in the game that replaced your first favorite.

Cath

Hey yall! I don’t understand how humble bundle can give so many game for cheap. What magic do they have ?

giuliano

I want my parents to understand the joy of gaming. It’s hard when you have boomer parents. Have your parents ever played a video game? If so, how did that go? How have you gotten them interested?

SenttheProphet

Quick fun game! I have four gameinformer magazines in front of me with the following cover stories: 1. Dead Space 2. Witcher 3 3. GTAV 4. Skyrim (Either have guests determine the overall order in time, or guess amongst given dates) 1. Dead Space - October 2007 (Issue 174) 2. Skyrim - February 2011 (Issue 214) 3. GTAV - December 2012 (issue 236) 4. Witcher 3 - March 2013 (Issue 239)

Sky Fellowship

Is there a genre that you've totally removed from your gaming life? I used to love NHL, NBA, FIFA, I don't even like most sports (Just hockey) but sports games were genuinely so much fun to me, but for what is probably the obvious reason, I haven't bought a single one since 2014. I wish we could still get fun NHL HITZ style games where you don't pay an obscene amount of money for lottery tickets or need to login daily to grind out the battle pass.

James

Sometimes I wish I could just sprint everywhere like you can do in games. I mean I could, but it would NOT be socially acceptable. Is there anything in video game land that you wish you could do in real life where the only barrier are social norms?

Azza G

Hey everyone! If you could burn an episode of the MinnMax show onto a Vinyl, which episode would you choose? Also what would the presentation look like, would you have time stamps on the back cover? a slip insert with info about Jeffm? please ask iam8bit to work on this so I can get the weirdest nintendo games vinyl

Brad Beyer

Hey MinnMax! Gaming podcasting has been going on for a few decades now, which means it’s well past time for a cliche cleanup. What words, phrases or analogies do you believe should be forever purged from the podcast lexicon? Personally I would ban the phrase “didn’t click with me” (just say you didn’t like it!) and “a little indie game called… (insert major AAA title).

Tess

Hey MinnMax! What's the best opening theme song?

Malcolm Holliday

Hey MinnMax if you had to pitch a new member of the Star Fox cast(good, bad or neutral), what animal and personality trait would you give them?

Yo Adriaaan

Hey y'all! Recently experienced a Japanese arcade for the first time (excited for Janet!) and was surprised by the overall quality of games. In a world where bowling alley cabinets like Flappy Bird could be replaced by any indie of your choice, what game would provide the best arcade experience?

Graham Jones

Hey Crew, what are your thoughts on doing a special episode where you do cohort questions instead of the regular community questions? Have all the cohorts write in questions and then have the community pick which ones that should be answered.

p9xm

Hey MinnMax - When I was a young teenager on a long road trip with my family, my sister and my dad devised an "apocalypse plan" for where we'd all go in a situation where we were separated and needed to meet up in a major world crisis scenario. Jump to present day, and while I can't quite remember some of the details of the plan, I do remember very clearly where they had decided we would meet up (I can't tell you, of course, in case this ends up being a hive mind type apocalypse or similar situation). Do you and your families have silly-but-serious plans like this? Any other road trip lunacy memories?

LlorchDurden

Hellow JeffM and crew! pls check this https://www.polygon.com/2015/6/4/8727269/steam-machine-launch-date/ "All Steam Machines will run SteamOS, a Linux variant with Steam's big picture mode of interface. While Steam Machines will be limited to games with Linux compatibility, the systems will be able to play any game purchased on Steam by streaming it from another local Windows or Mac computer. Meanwhile, Valve is working to add direct Linux support to as many games as possible" We think offering standardized machines could help expand the market to customers who have been reluctant to try PC gaming before now because of its complexity. As a general rule we welcome any innovation in gaming, because we believe this helps bring more and better choices to our customers (Michael Turner, GameStop's director of merchandising , at the time) are we in a simulation and it restarted? we've been here before, haven't we? :D

CaffeineDad

Hey gang! I don’t think I’m going to get much mileage out of my Switch 2 this year. I love the console, but, aside from Pokopia from earlier this year and Fire Emblem later this year, the Switch 2 feels like it’s kind of just limping along this year; it’s a very “play reboots, ports, or backlog” sort of year for the system. Do yall feel the same? Are yall overall satisfied with your Switch 2 after its first year?

Toke F.

Hello Ben and the Computer Loving Cohorts 👋 What console spawned the Best franchises? (Nes has Mario/Zelda, PlayStation one has Resident Evil/Spyro, 3DO need for speed... etc) To make things interesting PC is broken into decades, arcades are pre and post Street Fighter I. Could be console generations instead.

resnet

Hey hey! I love games that are gateways into new genres. Street Fighters 6 is that for me when it comes to fighting game. Do you have a gateway game into a genre that you were previously uninterested in or scared of?

Jump On Everything

How much "quality of life" is too much "quality of life"? With dragons dogma 2 getting it's new dlc they recently released an update that adds an item to give you infinite free fast travel and that seems fine on the surface but I feel like it means a lot of people will miss out on a potentially much more interesting experience with the game. Have you ever felt like removing helpful features like that would have made you enjoy a game more or am I just crazy?

Tyler Carver

Hey y'all, I recently started playing through FFVII Rebirth ,looking forward to going back and listening to the deepest dive, and just came across these new muppet looking Moogles. Now, there are a lot of remakes and remasters out now, so my question is, what character has the absolute worst redesign? If we can all collectively agree on Sesame Street moogles that would be swell. Regards, TC

Daniel Slawson

Hi all, I've noticed as I've grown older (I'm 34 now) and as a parent, the way I consume media has changed. No longer do I feel compelled to have a spicy intellectual criticism and instead I feel a freedom to just have fun and more often see the good in things (just in media, the real world is totally F'd). I still feel sometimes that games criticism is so eager to find something wrong that they miss the opportunity to see the good. Just look at all the negativity from the few seconds of the Ocarina of Time remake. What do the cohorts think? Have any of you experienced something similar to me or are you the opposite perhaps? Any games stand out as something where you just let yourself love them and let any criticisms just wash over you? Thanks!

Jason Wojnar

What’s the best hip-hop album ever made and why is it Paul’s Boutique by the Beastie Boys?

Josh Elliot

County Fair season is upon us. Can Minnmax assemble the ultimate Fair Food dinner for me? I will do my best to get this meal at my local county fair.

Parker Aden

HI COHORT!! My friend Josh Elliot claimed he had the ultimate question for you guys this week... so was it the ultimate question??

Gustavo Amaral

Hey Folks, so it seems like details about the GTA 6 Ultimate edition have come out, namely that some customization options for characters and cars will be exclusive to in game stores that you can only enter if you paid for the upgrade. I've seen people complaining about this but my big question is: is this not what every game delux edition does? Not trying to be a Rockstar defender but $20 for more cosmetics and a mission seems pretty normal for a special edition, and having those things be relegated to their own in game stores seems like a less intrusive way to intergrate it into the game as opposed to just dumping them into your inventory. Like in what other game would you be mad about not getting to walk into every single store in the game city? AM I NUTS?

Jarell Pryor

Hey CLCs, I know the Steam Machine price is unreasonable. But surely when the chip shortage ends and the AI bubble bursts, they'll reduce the price to something more reasonable... right? 😉

Shane G

Q mostly for Nick. If not another remake or reimagining, where would you most like to see the Star Fox franchise go? Would you want the game design to stay mostly the same but the story to be continued and the world and iconic characters to be developed further, if so, how so? Or perhaps expanding the IP through other genres. Is it super weird or just kinda weird how resistant Nintendo seems to do new stuff with this franchise?

DarthBane79

Hello Minnmaxers!! Do you think that GTA6 going full digital is a consequence of leakers getting a hold of physical copies ahead of time, and publishing spoilers all over the internet?

Adam Castellanos

What western myth would be on the level of journey to the west?

Nate Voris

Is getting to pee after holding it in for a long time the best feeling of relief there is? I can't think of anything better (asked from my toilet post-desperation piss)

LlorchDurden

motion controls!!! (ok I shut up :P )

Volunder

There’s a trending question online at the minute and I’m curious on the cohorts’ thoughts- Would you rather go to prison for: 3 years, or until your mom beats Elden Ring?

Watching the New Show Plus on Our Missing Top 10s had me trying to remember what it was like to think and talk about games back in 2009, and it honestly gave me more appreciation for all the great innovation we’ve seen in the past two decades of modern games. Of course I love to wax nostalgic about the simpler days, but now I can’t imagine going back to a world without games like, say, Breath of the Wild. What would you all consider to be games that you can’t imagine the contemporary landscape without?

Hi all! I was catching up on old episodes when I heard about Jacob Geller talk about how he’s been getting into Ace Combat and as a flight sim fan I just needed to tell everyone how here I am for that. As a flight sim sicko I can say that the genre is one of the most underrepresented ones in the video game industry, so having support from a celeb like Jacob is awesome. Anyway, as for my question: One of my favorite things about the Ace Combat games is that they always do that thing in video games where the main character is ambiguous: no canon appearance, voice, etc. In fact, my favorite of these ambiguous characters happens to be Cipher from Ace Combat Zero, but Commander Shepard from Mass Effect is a close second for me. What are your favorite “Ambiguous Characters”?
