Listening to Kelsey try get a word in edgewise during the Playstation Disc portion of the podcast was excruciating

It cannot be understated how many folks game a generation or two behind. The reason they do this is because it is incredibly affordable. The reason it is affordable, is because of physical copies of games. The person who got a PS4 for 25 bucks on Facebook marketplace and has slowly been cobbling together a collection of games will absolutely not just shrug this off and buy a contemporary console and start buying digital games. They’re going to leave the hobby.

I would very much like to live in the world JeffM seemingly lives in where building a PC comparable in specs to a ps6 for third party games isn't going to cost like $1700+.....it isn't the viable alternative he seems to paint it out to be. PC gaming is even more prohibitive at the same spec level

Jacob is wrong about game content not being on the disc anymore. This is a common misconception I wish would die. Most games are complete on disc and playable offline.

Very disappointed by the discussion around physical games and that they aren't actually on the discs. That is just misinformation. Many, many new PS5 games include playable builds on the physical disc. The main exception to this seems to be Microsoft published games, such as Indiana Jones and Oblivion Remake. Jacob is correct that the disc is missing patches and updates that you have to download, but the game is still playable. It also completely ignores the fact that many publishers update the version on the disc when a new batch of discs is manufactured. I would recommend people use the website DoesItPlay for more information on what is included on the disc.

I don't have the hard data to back this up, but I'm pretty sure the past week of MinnMax, with the rapid fire questions, bonus pod, and this episode of the main pod, is the most bleeped week in the history of MinnMax. You guys really let loose! I'm not complaining, I just noticed it was a bunch.

It sounded to me like he was more talking about a PC that can run $10 indies with basically 0 zero spec requirements, not an equivalent of ps6.
