Does Sony name it’s next console after the PS5 the PS6? At what point does the number get too high? I think Sony will have to pivot to something future proof... maybe something related to streaming?

Good Morning Minn-Pinns, Love the show. Not sure if you got that “Skippy the Jedi Droid” was tongue in cheek story. This is probably conveyed more by the art that accompanies the dialogue. Anyway, what is more disturbing? 1. Droids are living, feeling, sentient beings that the majority of the Star Wars Universe is content to treat as slave labor, torture, and lobotomize at will. 2. Droids are NOT living, feeling, sentient beings. They are effectively anthropomorphized home appliances that the majority of the Star Wars Universe fetishize to a pathological extent Keep up the good work Lou from Philly

With Disney+ I'm rewatching The Simpsons and it has some of the best running gags- Milhouse saying "My glasses!" when he gets hurt, Homer being too excited to speak correctly (a la "Tramampoline!!") or Skinner's Vietnam monologues to name a few of my faves. What are some of your favorite running jokes in shows, movies or games? Keep up the good work, all the MinnMax content is a ton of fun!

A couple months back I saw the Joker film and found myself coming out of the film with some mixed emotions. While I thought to myself it was a really effective film, based on the tone and content, I don’t know that I felt like I could recommend it to anyone. Have you ever had a film/game that you felt like was well done, but left you conflicted as to if you could recommend it? For me, Joker and A Clockwork Orange come to mind. 0/1 on questions read, hoping this is my lucky week! 😉

What up nerds?! Ben, I was fortunate enough to just watch yours and Jeff Ms Jurassic Park walk through and could not believe how quickly you effed up in the beginning. I was Loling for sure.. if anyone hasn’t watched it yet, please do. Secondly, I need to know how you, the biggest Jurassic Park fan in the world, could not comprehend how the command center and the vent escape room were the same?! Even after virtually standing in it?! Thank you for the edited on screen correction btw. Hey, MinnMax crew, Dakota Salmeron here.    Watching you and JeffM explore Jurassic Dreams together reminded me of a conversation you two had on the GI podcast. You were talking about how you were always trying to get JeffM to come to your house and play some gamer ass games for gamers but JeffM always wanted to just stay at the office and play. Be honest Hanson, did you create turmoil amongst the ranks of GI staff in order to have JeffM fired so you could start up MinnMax and trick him into finally coming to your house? Was it just an excuse to get away from Brian Shea? OR was this all part of a grander scheme where you needed JeffM around consistently since he's the only one to acknowledge your Italian birth name of Yozetty,  hoping for it to finally catch on?  In all seriousness, it's great to see you all have such a fun time together and thanks for the great content.

Greetings Minners. Scott Hebert from Duluth again. When you talked about the original Xbox, it reminded me of the many hours I spent playing Project Gotham Racing 2. The group I raced with played a custom mode called "Cat and Mouse." Four teams of two players. One player picked whatever supercar they wanted, the other would pick a Mini Cooper in the same color as the supercar. The object was to get your Mini Cooper across the finish line at Nurburgring first. You could push your Mini Cooper or smash up the other Coopers. Anything goes. A race usually ended up being 15 minutes of cursing and laughing in equal measure. The game was so popular, it eventually got its own official mode in PGR3. My question is, do any of you have a favorite game mode, outside of the usual, that your group of friends played?

Hey guys! With the rumors of the RE3 Remake coming next year and the Cable 4 concept art leaks I've been thinking about some of my favorite games and franchises. Specifically Too Human. I loved that game when it first came out and was extremely sad to see Silicon Knights go the way they did without releasing the planned sequels. My question is what gaming franchise that is no longer around do you wish had more entries? Keep up the great work!

I know you love random specific facts. So ever since sword and shield came out I have seen DOUBLE the amount of switches on my commute via train. (NYC) and guess what game they are playing? Pokémon. And one weirdo who was playing stardew valley. I may just be biased. Because I also starting taking my own switch on the train. Which I didn’t before but I can’t wait to hatch a few more eggs instead of playing something on Apple Arcade.

Hello! My first gaming experience was playing Nintendo with my father, as I got older my passion grew. I remember around the ps2 era playing Madden against my dad and him just not being able to keep up. I've often wondered if this was due to his age? Or his lack of gaming last NES? Hey MinnMax dudes, So Hanson keeps saying that Pokemon in-game cries should be voice acted like the Anime? This literally got me to subscribe to your Patreon so I could ask- you know nearly every Pokemon has a different name depending on the language it’s translated into, right? I think this is because a lot of Pokemon names are pretty much based on puns, and a lot of the time that kind of wordplay doesn’t translate very well. Anyway, this gave me an idea for a game to prove to you that’s it’s a dumb idea to record a dozen different cries for a thousand different Pokemon. The game is pretty simple, I’ll give you the foreign name of a Pokemon and the language of that name, and you all will need to guess what the English name is. The Pokemon I’ve chosen for this game are all from the beginning-ish of Sword/Shield or from Gen. 1. Hope it’s fun! -Joey Game: Foreign Name Language English Name 1. Lizardon Japanese Charizard 2. Hey MinnMax Crew, this may be an old question but I haven't really heard an answer that makes much sense logically anytime I hear it brought up. Why aren't more games released in late June and July? At this point in time I don't think there are really "bad" times to release games (with the exception of maybe the last 2-3 weeks of December). With so little competition in the middle of Summer I would think that more publishers would be clamoring to get their games released in a period where there was less competition than in the packed Spring and Autumn months so why doesn't this happen more often? Fire Emblem 3 Houses came out this year in late July and it was the talk of the town so it seems like an apt concept. Do you have any insights? Keep up the great work!

Hey Minnesota Maxers, why hasn't Atlus released Persona 5 on Switch? Do you think there are some kind of licensing agreements in place preventing the game from getting off of the Playstation? Atlus already works with Nintendo on the Persona Q games as well as the Shin Megami Tensei series and is bringing Persona 5 Scramble to Switch next year so that seems unlikely, but at the same time putting out vanilla Persona 5 on Switch seems like a slam dunk for the system - especially given how popular P4 Golden was on the Vita as a handheld title. Considering they even went so far as to put Joker in Smash Bros. it seems odd that this hasn't happened yet. Please weigh in with your thoughts. Thanks and keep up the great work!

Hey Minnions, I recently completed the Outer Worlds and absolutely loved the backstory provided on the terminals when the protagonist revisits the Hope spaceship. It got me thinking, even though i don't find the prospect of reading a bunch terminals or listening to audio logs particularly appealing, i actually find it more engrossing than exposition through cutscene. So what's you preference? Environmental storytelling, audio logs, cutscenes, or something else?

Hello MaxedMinnis, I'm wondering if any of you have played the PC strategy game BATTLETECH? It was my GOTY last year with over a 100 hours played. This week the final promised DLC pack, Heavy Metal, was released and I've been sucked back in. First of all thanks for helping with my neurosis regarding that sound in Wild World. I still can't entirely stop thinking about it but at least I know I'm not entirely alone. All credit for this question goes to GI's own Kimberley Wallace. She asked on Twitter what the best use of a song in a video game trailer is. I'd love to hear everyone's thoughts on noteworthy trailer music in general. Which stand out good or bad? The ones that jumped to my mind for good reasons were Mad World in the Gears trailer and White Rabbit for Lost Odyssey.

Hello MinnyMaxers, someone said on last week's show that they still like the idea of owning their games by buying physical copies and that got me thinking about a thing that happened a couple of months ago. Destiny 2 New Light dropped and I realized that my disc copy of Destiny 2 is now nothing more than a useless piece of plastic that I can't even resale. Now this might be the norm for a games as service game but a lot of the major triple A single player games still requires a hefty download or patch to be playable. So if those patch servers go offline wouldn't that make the disc useless as well? Are we just fooling ourselves here thinking that buying the physical copies of games make you more of an "owner" of said game than getting the digital copy? Do you see a future where we can once again own full copies of games on some sort of physical media? Have a great Thanksgiving!

Random and weird but specific. Could you put the title of the podcast first in the description? My Apple podcast app always lists your general description then shows the show name at the end. What are your thoughts on how negative other explosive outlets are on games and the industry? It's like they enjoy dropping a big IED on anything that might be remotely popular. Is there a valid place for these different types of inquisitions that tend to think of themselves as the sterling silver of the industry, or do they only help to bring the industry as a whole down? I’ve got to be honest. Before MinnMax (two n’s) I didn’t know much about Jeff. In fact I held a huge grudge against him for his 5.75 review of a great game “Kingdom Come Deliverance” while the game was buggy at start after a day 1 and week 1 patch most everything was taken care of. No game has ever made you feel so weak at the start like an actual blacksmiths son and feel like you are actually improving with the character. Regardless, how annoying is it to have to play games for reviews before patches come out as that is a more common occurrence now? Ps. I know have given up my grudge against Jeff which I am sure was worrying him. Have enjoyed hearing him more on MinnMax as he is a delightful human being.
