Content

We cannot thank you all enough for putting wind in our sails and creating MinnMax this year. It took one hell of a community to make an independent outlet like this fully sustainable, thanks for showing up. Now we need to return the favor by keeping this party rolling. Our goal is to convert the support from the community into as much joy as possible throughout your week. Let us know in the comments or in the poll what you're most excited about seeing from MinnMax in 2020. We'll have fun content rolling out on the YouTube channel throughout the week, and we'll be back in full starting on January 6th!

Be good, have fun, let's go!

I've really enjoyed the content you guys put out. The podcast really helps with my long commutes to school. I'd be really excited if you do the book club deepest dive you teased. I also hope you guys can do more tabletop stuff in the evening since I usually have school during the times you do the goty hunt streams and get terrible signal at school. The deepest dive for outer worlds was my favorite you did and hope you guys can do more and possibly let the community vote on the next one.

My money back!

Patrick Polk

I know I am old (36) and in the minority, but I mostly consume podcasts and written articles, and very rarely watch videos. Podcasts are perfect for me while I commute, and sometimes while I'm working, so the more the better! This is by no means a complaint, because you've been putting out a ton of content already. Thanks for everything!

Tyler

Documentaries and game dev interviews would be amazing. For my money, Hanson is one of the best interviewers in the biz, so I'd like to see anything along those lines.

Trevor Downey

You guys are doing great. And it’s so exciting to be a part of the journey. Love the audio feed, it’s easiest to digest for me!

Gustavo

Game dev interviews were some of my favorite content you put out while you were at GI, Hanson. If you couldn't deliver on that, not so much on a weekly basis, but maybe a monthly basis on which you do a show/podcast that's roughly 45mins-1hr maybe even more that's just focused on a game dev, that would be awesome. Also keep the flagship Minnmax episodes coming.

I look forward to your guys content more then any other site every week thank you computer loving cohorts is so much better than minnmaxers for the fans of the show, I look forward to a cool tshirt with that

PlainShane

I'd love to see a show from Kyle's point of view as the host, sorta like Mike D's show Friend Code on Easy Allies gives him time away from their main show. I am usually wanting for more of Kyle's opinion. Since he is less likely to interrupt others, it feels like I hear less of his entire points. I would like a similar thing from the others at MinnMax too though. As always, thanks for making this content and being great, y'all!

Two Button Crew

More Getting Better, as it's one of MinnMax's core values. How can it receive more of an emphasis? A dedicated podcast segment? A "getting better club" where each month the community tries something all at once and reports back on successes, such as writing handwritten letters to family, learning a new skill like changing your own oil, etc? Just spit-ballin' here!

Thom Blackburn

I worry about asking for more stuff as I don't think that would grow your brand. Just keep improving on what you have which is already top tier 😘

FlaminQueso

Looking forward to more MinnMax in general! Love it all, so keep up the good work! Here is my list of things I’m hoping for in 2020: 1) clapping in and out on the MinnMax show. 2) more Emily Reese music based content (at least twice next year) 3) a consistent Kyle based show where he reviews kids things, just like that fireman movie review thing 4) Lets Plays of current games/new releases! 5) Breaking Gaming News with Ben Hanson - a silly quick show when there is some major gaming related news. Hanson in a suit and tie in front of a desk and green screen asking like a news caster

This is an outside the box suggestion, but one of the things I miss most about you guys having the resources of Game Informer is the ability to have people discovering and playing more obscure games. I know with a smaller crew you guys are sometimes pressed to just make sure you have a chance to form an opinion on just the major releases, but I wonder if there's an opportunity to assign one person a month an "off the beaten path" task, to spend a few weeks focused on discovering smaller indie gems. Some of my favorite game discoveries have come from someone like Javy talking The Red Strings Club or something similarly unusual, and I'd love to hear more of that here as well!

Bdun912

More deepest dives and max spoilers on games, movies, tv shows, books, anything is pretty much what I want

FlaminQueso

Oh also, the Quarterly Charity drives discussed on MinFAQs similar to the Sweet Toys for Sick Kids drive.

Travis M.

Sorry if this doesn't help at all, but I clicked everything. As others have said, the content you have been putting out up to this point has been absolutely phenomenal, and I can only hope (and fully expect) that quality to remain just as high going forward. I guess if I had to actually pick a more specific something that I would really love to see more of, it would be either the film commentaries, or the more varied guests whenever y'all see fit. Nothing wrong with Kyle, Suriel l, or JeffM, but I think it would be cool to just keep expanding with all sorts of fresh voices from time to time! Thanks for everything, Ben and your computer-loving cohorts 😁

Jesse Jones

I personally really like the Max Spoilers episodes - a lot of my friends don't share the same interests and so max spoilers are a way for me to have those "discussions" about how certain things turn out

Isaac Cynova

I became a Patreon for the Deepest Dives, I'll stay for whatever else you guys do.

Faraaz

Surprise us! The Metalgear podcast documentary on GI Show was amazing, something I didn’t know I wanted. I’m here for the gaming podcasts so anything you bring in that format I’ll consume and every now and then I’ll waddle over to YouTube to watch something.

Based solely on Hanson's obsession with Jackbox, I purchased JBPP 3 and shared it at the in-laws Christmas party. I'm happy to say it was a major hit and we had a full 8 player game going for over 3 hours. We all had a blast and I fell in love with the idea of that franchise in a single night of play. Personally I would love to see a stream of some of you guys with friends playing Jackbox and just cracking up for a couple of hours!

Jay Grizz

Overall I am very positive on MinnMax and love what you are doing. I do have one piece of constructive criticism. I like the weekly stream but the idea of a "goty hunt" is a little limiting (in terms of what games you can play). I would like to see it on a rotation with some other stream/lets play themes. I love the work you have done so far and look forward to more deepest dives, interesting podcast episodes, and all around brain tingling heart warming excellent content!

James Smith

Where's the option for more Kyle reviews of movies his kid drags him to?

Rich Lynch

I’d love to see more content that covers things you guys are passionate about.

Hans Kleinenberg

Where’s my “all of the above”? But in all seriousness, whatever you guys want to do. That’s what I signed up for.

Dan Willey

I would love to see more documentaries and video interviews! There aren't many outlets that cover the behind-the-scenes, developer stuff. Let's plays are also great!

Travis Layman

Love you guys but I'm gonna have to stop my patreon support for like a month for financial reasons. Keep up the great work while I'm gone! In the words of one terminator "I'll be back."

ChallengeAccepted

I know it's less helpful but I couldn't help but vote for almost all the options lol

Zane Dukes

More call in shows! That should be a regular segment; it sets the show apart from other podcasts and gives real incentive to join the patreon.

Zane Dukes

More women and minority voices.

Grizzled Gaming

How about "front of the box" trivia? You have to describe the box art of a game, but omit obvious dead giveaways. Might at least make a decent one-off.

Jeremy Tanner

I know it's one of the lower polled options but I do really like the movie commentaries.

Marswellest

Table top coverage all the way!!

Zack Thornhill

More deepest dives of Chrono Trigger

Brad C

More of Leo’s mom!

Swiggity Swoo

What a fabulous community oriented poll, keep up the good work!

BloodyMoses

I voted, but at the end of the day just do your best and be better.

Othtober

a successor to Sick Stunts would be AMAZING!!!!

Dunder

I really liked the quick reaction videos to big news stories, especially when framed with all the MinnMax industry knowledge. Surprised it doesn’t have more votes yet.

wittynicknamehere .

I second what Zane says above. More female and minority voices would go a long way toward spreading the Minnmax empire.

Jake T

I for one would like to see more of the "get better" type of stuff. A podcast or something that focuses more on stuff like this would be baller. Deepest dive (into the swim pool) type content about trying new arguably healthy things, maybe?

It's Hugo's Nook

Honestly, I really want Game That Tune to come back

Wayne D.

More Deepest Dives! I love stuff like that!
