Are there any phrases/song lyrics or just words that you were always saying wrong that someone pointed out to you? I used to say give someone their crops instead of props until my brother said I was wrong in typical older brother fashion

I asked this to JeffM and Suriel on New Show Plus today and was told to send it to the podcast. I loved the format! What game deserves the Snyder Cut treatment? (All extra/scrapped content reassembled/twice the length of the original game) Btw Shout out to Grizzled Gaming who had the best answer in chat, which is MGSV.

Hi MinnMax and the Dan! I enjoy playing videogames and you probably enjoy it too! But sometimes games leave you less relaxed than before you started playing. What types of games stress you out and conversely, what games help you relieve stress? Games with randomization, sports, and soulsy games are my stressful ones. Thanks, Thom

Shakenbake67

Hello MinnMax Crew and Dan! With Valentines Day behind us, what is the character in video games you would want to be your Valentine?

HLarge4

Trivia Tower was a blast! I got a few people interested in checking out the channel thanks to such a fun, community focused idea! But enough praise, my question! With the release of Bowser's Fury it got me thinking, what's your favorite spin-off? What makes a good spinoff?

Erin T.

Hi Ben and assorted MinnMaxers! I hear y’all throw around the term “podcast game” a bunch, and I’m always intrigued by this - how are you guys actually listening to podcasts while gaming? Do you go completely without the game audio? Is it a balance between both? Teach me your ways!

Suriel said last week that he's not a huge fan of the Little Nightmares games because they lose their magic when you have to redo sequences after dying. This is a common criticism of games with cinematic sequences, but for some reason we never hear this criticism aimed at boss sequences in video games. A boss is presumably designed to be a "magical" moment in a game, but I often feel dread in these moments because I know I'll have to redo it over and over. Why does the attitude seem to be "get good" in the latter case, but not the former?

Aadilicious

Hello MinnMax crew, Maybe this is little bit of a touchy subject, but here's a two-part question: given the revitalization of the game "Six Days in Fallujah", and the discourse surrounding it over the past week or so, I'm curious about your thoughts on: 1) Are video games are a suitable medium for political commentary - should this be a topic covered by games, or should they try their best to separate themselves from politics? 2) What are your favorite examples of politics in video games? Any standouts? Thanks!

Leafeonn (Josh K)

WASSUP MINNMAXERS ITS YA BOI LEAFEONN HERE What is your favorite less popular, C-tier or lower popularity Nintendo franchise? (Opposed to the A-tier zelda, mario and kirby, B-tier FE, Star Fox and Metroid) Some C-tiers woul be Golden Sun, Punch Out, F-Zero, Mother and Pikmin. And maybe D-tier titles would be Pushmo, Boxbox Boy, Starfy, and..... ARMS? Personally, I absolutely love Golden Sun. Would love to hear all your thoughts on the less popular Nintendo franchises! Your pal, Leafeonn

Hey Ben and the CLCs, Ok, start bragging! What is an oddball multiplayer game you were really good at? For me, it was Snoopy Flying Ace. It came out 10 years ago and had some fantastic dogfighting gameplay.

Pelicanman

With the arrival of next-gen consoles, it feels like the quality-of-gaming-life has never been better. Still, nothing is ever perfect. What pet peeves of yours still remain? For me, the fact that achievements/trophies still pop up and tell you what’s happened before you actually see it is nuts.

Grizzled Gaming

Hello Bennie Hanson and the Hansonites! With Bowser’s Fury taking an open world approach to the Mario series, do you think of this smaller game as more of a test case for future 3D Mario games? And would you personally like the series to head in this direction?

Chree McGee

With the Zelda All-Stars remasters likely to be announced tomorrow (greetings from the past!), they may well announce a remaster of Skyward Sword, a game that I think deserves more respect and recognition. What are some entries in your favorite series that you think are underappreciated?

Luca Rescigno

I love retro games almost as much as I love modern games, and there's a common sentiment that certain genres peaked years or decades ago and never reached those same highs again. Do you feel this way about any games or genres? And on the flip side, are there any genres that you feel have only gotten better with time?

Mike Lynch

Heya CLC's! Is a corporation buying a smaller game developer not considered a bad thing in the gaming world? Aside from a few gripes about developers not being independent anymore, it's news I never see met with much negativity.

Hey team, This morning I had my 2nd list of save progress in Valhalla. I lost my 3 weeks of paternity leave the first time (25 hrs worth) then lost about 18 additional hours this morning. It might be because of the updates but quick resume kept my progress going until it didn’t. The game’s save profiles reverted to the previous spot in the game despite reflecting my progress the day prior. Have y’all ever lost progress in a game? If so how much? Did you need to walk away?

IanTClark

I’m definitely enjoying Bowser’s Fury but the co-op is not great. It’s a lot like the way it was in Odyssey but worse because you have to use split Joy-cons. Speaking of Odyssey, it would have been great if the move set for Mario in Bowser’s fury would have been the same as it was in Odyssey. Maybe they couldn’t do that because of the different engines but hey, if they figured that stuff out on those old Final Fantasy games (something I learned from Ben’s interview with Tim Longo), surely Nintendo could of done something here too. What say you cohorts?

DarkFishDays

What do you think was the last newspaper comic you read?

Sean Mason

Hey CLCs I teach middle school, and I wanted to let you know I incorporated the "I could get used to this" into my classroom last week. During an assessment, I instructed the students to put their hands behind their heads and say, "I could get used to this." when they finished. It was a hit! The kids loved it! That brings me to my question, what is something you've heard (or learned) on a podcast/show that you have incorporated into your everyday life. Best, Sean M.

Doreen Ford

Hey CLCs! I listen to a lot of post-rock, chill-hop/lo-fi and jazz music to focus on schoolwork and as a nice background in general. What's some of your favorite music to listen to that helps you get work done?

James Smith

Hey Kyle and the Krazy Bunch, You just found out that a meteor is en route to earth and tomorrow the human race will cease to exist. What do you do?

Andrew vala

Howdy, Ben and the Monsters of the Deep! I just so happened to finish reading Final Fantasy XV The Dawn of the Future- a novelization of the unreleased Final Fantasy XV DLC and alternate ending when, low and behold, MinnMax features that weird VR fishing game set in the very same world! I was disappointed to hear a lack of positive experiences with the game (FFXV). Despite its many, many flaws, I still think there is something unique and worthwhile at the core of that game. This got me to thinking, when the 25th anniversary rolls around, does Square-Enix attempt to re-release this game or does it stay in the vault? Is this game salvageable as a remaster or would it take as drastic of a remake as FF7 to entice those who felt let down the first time around?

Hootz

Minnmaxers. Critical question. What is your favorite cheese? Or, if cheese isn’t your thing, what has to be on the charcuterie board for you to come to my fancy dinner party? Also, trivia tower was a blast! Was Dan an opera singer in a former life? He really shone on that second floor. Anyway, can’t wait until next month’s showdown!

Geoff Enright

Hello MinNintendo-Max, How did you like when Nintendo said that one thing, then snapped their finger and played a video? I mean, oh man, what excitement?! I mean, who could have guessed they would've announced another Metroid game! Seriously though, favorite moment or announcement of the direct? -Geoff aka Groffles

Chris Schultz

Have you ever gone back to a “bad game” years later and ended up loving it? I recently got into fallout 76 and having a pretty good time with it.

Styster

Hello MinnMaxers - Nintendo has a history of incredible announcements, from the incredibly-produced and stylized fighter reveals in Smash Brothers to out-of-left-field game announcements like Mario + Rabbids. What announcement from Nintendo left the biggest impression on you - whether from an awesome trailer, a surprise twist, or a new game you never thought would happen?

shades42

Hello Cohorts and MinnMaxers! If you had to choose your favorite animated show you watched as a kid and make it a game, which game studio would you have make it and why?

RickyWinterborn

do you guys think anime as a interest has reached that critical threshold where it's referenced too much in mainstream media? kinda like the office? ive noticed in a few games and movies recently they'll make a gruff male admit to loving anime or make it seem like this more rare interest like it used to be in the 90s and 2000s

Felix davin

Hello good people, Once the pandemic page will be turned, do you think game writing will turn to more comedic themes and characters overall ? A lot of collectively praised games of the last decade tend to be a bit bleak, maybe this giant sigh we're going through will result in happier games ? Cheers Big Pizza Sniffers

Brian Keese Jr

Hey Ben and Crew! With this episode recording just before the Direct tomorrow, I was curious about your thoughts on 'new old' Zelda titles. What would be in your dream three pack for a Zelda 35 celebration similar to the Mario pack we got last year? Which game is the most likely to be included that shocks people? Are there any games you hope aren't included but fear will be? And money on the table now, will we get a BotW 2 teaser and/or release date?

saibher (cyber)

Since you folks are talking about Valheim... What's the deal with indie survival games?!? Minecraft, Terraria, Don't Starve, Raft, Valheim? Why do they get so popular? I'm not complaining, their all pretty fun :)

GreenMountainState

Hey MinnMax, What's a product you've purchased that's unexpectedly turned out to be one of the best investments you've made. It doesn't have to be something flashy. Just something where months or even years later you realized how much you got out of that product. For me it was Bose noise cancelling headphones I bought at an airport. I use those things constantly, they still work after 6 years, and I would definitely make that investment again. Cheers

Terry Pierson

Lately I have been feeling flattened and have taken to playing old, easy, comfort food games. For me this, is GameCube era arcade games. Things like Wave Race, Sega Soccer Slam, and Cel Damage. Quick, round based games that I can pick up and put down on a whim. What are your favorite “whim” games like this? Bonus points for retro titles.

Kyle Silva

Hey Ben and CLCs. First of all, I just wanted give a thanks to Ben and Dan for hosting Trivia Tower. It was alot of fun and it was a great way to get more used to Discord, as I'm still a bit inexperienced with the app. Anyways, do any of you guys eat a snack on a daily basis? I personally eat a couple spoonfuls of all natural peanut butter almost every evening. Would love to see if any of you guys have a similar food habit.

Hello Ben & Friends, I managed to get a Series X on the latest Walmart drop, bringing my next-gen hunt to an official close (I got a PS5 day 1). Whoop! I’ve been extremely impressed with the Xbox’s ability to upscale basically everything I’ve demoed on it, and the console’s design is much more aesthetically pleasing than my PS5 spaceship. So, my question for the panel - those that managed to get both consoles thus far, where have your preferences fallen? Are you swooning over the Dualsense’s potential? Is Quick Resume the game changer you’ve been waiting for? Where do you plan to play most of your games aside from console exclusives? Thanks for your glorious efforts to keep us sane this past year.

Despite having owned it on multiple platforms over the years, I have only just recently gotten into Skyrim. I've started plenty of characters, but it never held my attention for more than fifteen hours. This time, I've already put in 120 hours and I have no sign of slowing down. Have any of you had trouble getting into a game only to have it click for you way on down the road? Also, question for Dan; when does your collab with Smooth McGroove drop?

MouseRat

When you are playing a melee combat based game, where do you prefer the attack buttons to be on the controller? R1/R2 or square/triangle? I feel like more and more games are using R1/R2 and I just can't get used to it, it feels so wrong to be mashing shoulder buttons for combat. After I die a bunch of times from crouching instead of attacking I have to remap. When did this shoulder button invasion begin?

Colton Westbrooks

Hello Ben and the CLCs! Is there a game franchise that you have never really played that you consider yourself to be either a fan of and/or knowledgeable about? For me, my primary example for years was the Resident Evil series. Never played them and only saw a small part of the first three games played, but I knew a fair amount about the story and characters. I even owned a bunch of toys when I was a kid and read one of the books as well. I finally played/watched my wife play through all of them over the last year and a half. It’s her favorite series so a play through was must. ( Final Fantasy is the other series that kind of fits this for me and we have been working on those this year, my wife’s other favorite series funny enough ) Thanks for all you do, thrilled to be a supporter now!

Joshua Wiljanen

I'm a white man dating a black woman and we've decided to prioritze black centered media for black history month and female centered media for women's history month. Unfortunately, it's slim pickin's when it comes to video games. What are your favorite games with black and/or female protagonists?

Bryan Tylec

Hey everyone, this question is for Dan. Dan, have you ever forgiven Joe Juba for cold-bloodedly murdering Ric Flair in Tail of the Sun?

Michael Moran

Do you guys tip on carry out orders?

Shipwright

Hello Cohorts! Please settle a heated debate that has permeated family, friends, and coworkers now at this point. Please give us the definitive ranking between cake, cookies, and pie. 1-3, all definitions included (brownie is technically cake, and meat pies are fair game) Thanks and love the show especially the new a trivia tower, my god the community is too good at this!

Joe Dean

Hey Cohorts, With all of Kingdom Hearts coming to PC my mind ran wild with the amount of crazy things modders could do with that franchise, so what's a game or series or whatever that you'd love to see come to PC and find out what modders could/would do? Do you have any mods in mind? Thanks, Joe Dean

TommenDotGif

Howdy everyone. What's your favorite tetris block?

ConorJTobin

Hey there, Ben Hanson and the Handsome Boys! What're some New Game+ experiences... in real life? Things like returning to your old school on the staff's side of the table, say - something that'll give you another go at the rodeo, albeit armed with the extra insight afforded to a NG+ experience. Thanks!

It's Hugo's Nook

Hey there lovely people! I was just playing Graceful Explosion Machine, one of Switch's earliest titles, and remembered how much people talked about its use of the "HD Rumble" in reviews. Yet, nowadays, you barely ever see this specific console feature mentioned anywhere when talking about new games. Have devs or journalists just stopped caring about it? but as a bigger question: In your opinion, what are some of the least memorable "unique features" of a console? Something that was hyped up and a PR talking point upon its release but quickly forgotten by the larger community afterwards

PhillyYeetSteak

Hello cohorts and special guest dan! Well it seems we are on to the blizzard stage of the apocalypse. Whenever it snows, it always puts me in the mood to play games in snowy environments. Yesterday, i replayed part of Red Dead 2, and it scratched that itch for me a bit, but really i just wish i had a way to play the original lost planet now. Anyone else do this?

Tanner Hoisington

Howdy crew. A few months into the new generation of consoles, how do you feel about the price increase of games? I think it is too easy for people like us who follow the industry to say "Well games are increasingly more expensive to develop and they used to cost a bunch in the old days" without putting the impetus on publishers to find ways to lower the cost of production. $70 is a lot to ask of the average gamer, especially during a pandemic. Wouldn't it be better for the industry if more people could afford to buy more games?

Taylor Clark

Hey guys currently stuck in my first winter storm down in Houston texas. My question is a simple one what is your favorite games/ activities to play/do when your stuck inside. Ive been playing alot of yu-gi-oh legacy of the duelist ( on switch) and dragon ball fighterz ( with my brother) . Love yall big fan stay awesome.

In case you guys end up looking here for Q's post direct-Does the lack of substantial announcements in this direct make you more pessimistic or optimistic that Nintendo will have a "solid" E3 offering?
