MM, Forget video games, what one movie do you want to see before the year is over? I have been putting off Dune after I had to cancel my tickets due to the birth of my daughter. Thanks Clare!!

Victor Pham

Heavy Metal is a music genre that's often ignored during awards seasons...what are the video game genre equivalent (s) to that?

DangerZone

Hey cohorts, I just unlocked an achievement in Halo Infinite that has a 0.5% completion rate. So my questions is: what is the rarest achievement or trophy you’ve ever gotten? Did you hunt for it or get it by accident? Thanks!

Jordan Blayney

Hey Ben and the Crew! Do you guys enter giveaways a lot? I recently entered a Disney giveaway to stay at the new Galactic Starcruiser and it was one giveaway I have entered recently that I really wanted to win. If you guys have won any giveaways in the past, what was it for? Thank you! Jordan Blayney

Twitter is a buzz with a supposed Chrono Cross remaster. It's perhaps my favorite game ever. And I don't know how to feel about a remake. Part of is excited and part of me is like please don't mess this up. So my question is, how do you all feel about your favorite game getting remade? As far as underrated games of 2021, I will continue to champion Fuga Melodies of Steel as one of the best games of the year. Especially when playing it with the french voice over.

Joshua Duperoy

Somewhat related topic here. What’s the best game you guys have played this year that didn’t release in 2021?

Styster

I'm a big league of legends player, so for me, the Riot Forge announcement was at the same level as a Nintendo Direct. I was later surprised at how few of my friends even knew it had happened. My question to you all is: What's the video game series with the biggest following that you know nothing about/most disconnected from?

omanzo7

Hey Minnmax, What is one thing you believe could happen that would get you really excited? What is one thing you don’t believe will happen but would get you off your seat?

Mitch

If you could live anywhere in the US, career and money being no object, where would you pick and why?

David Dubs

This past year I really got into some of the custom mods made to previous pokemon games. I've enjoyed them so much that playing the new remakes of Diamond and Pearl have just felt empty. My question is what are your favorite mods to existing games? Do you think mods ruin the base level experience?

ProcyonNumber6

Hey Benn and Friennds, How do you pick your starter Pokemon? Is it based on looks or utility? Do you always choose the same type or change depending on which generation?

Tommy Carver-Chaplin

Mario has done a bad job of protecting the Mushroom Kingdom. If you could replace him with an alternative hero to keep his friends safe once and for all, who would you pick?

RickyWinterborn

if you could take one skill you have now and go back in time to when you were 5 years old, what would it be? mine would be my average drumming skills. I feel like a 5 year old drumming at any respectable level is an instant trip to the ellen show, back before she was evil or whatever.

Hey gang! I recently saw Freeguy and it had me thinking about how much it would suck to live in an open world game like GTA or Saints Row. So I wondered what some of the worst and best games to be an npc would be. Which do you think would be the most fun or pleasant, and which ones would be downright awful? I personally think Doom Eternal might take the cake for worst, while Animal Crossing would be pretty pleasant. Happy Thanksgiving!

My GOTY is the delightful time loop game The Forgotten City, but it seemed to get far less attention than that other time loop game - the critically derided 12 Minutes. How important is it for a game to have a big publisher, like Annapurna, to get attention from games press?

Doreen Ford

Hey y'all! I've been really enjoying the small parts of Pokemon Brilliant Diamond but am also aware it is very much a comfort food/podcast game for me, once that I don't have to think too hard about, know what to expect, but still get a lot of happiness from. What are some of y'alls favorite comfort food games?

Andrew Molnar

Why do so many people hate Sonic the Hedgehog? I loved playing (2D) Sonic growing up and have nothing but fond memories. So what gives?

Braulio Martinez

Hey all, I hope this is not too personal but without any numbers, would you mind sharing how podcasting in games works? I have always wondered if guests are paid, especially if they just pop in and out for specific sections. Thanks for your awesome content!

CptCobblePot

Computer loving cohorts, October seems like a cozy month for spooky games. What types of games do you play during the rest of fall and winter? For me family games like Overcooked or Stardew Valley are always on the table, alongside some of my ps2 favorites (Jak and Daxter and Sly cooper). Any type of games you all like to play or is just time to crank out GOTY titles?

Brian W

So I fell for their marketing trap. Watched Arcane on Netflix with no context to the league of legends franchise and an overall distaste for the game. Now here I am clamoring for more and playing Wild Rift on my phone. Have you ever been drawn into a game from any cross market fiction?

Lewis K

Hey team, Realistically how long do you think you’ll be playing games? In thinking about the current generation it amuses me a lot imagining of a whole world of people playing video games in nursing homes and whilst having grandkids etc. and actually having a historical experience with games and not just a smattering of niche old Gamer Grandpaws as it might be now. What do you think the last game you will ever play is? Apologies if this is very morbid! Thanks, Lewis

WavingWorld

Hey Computer Loving Cohorts! I had a funny/interesting experience when I played Skyward Sword on the Wii many moons ago. After playing through the whole game I stopped myself right before the final boss fight. I wanted to give myself a special experience, so I saved it for the next day. After collecting snacks and prepping my seat I sat down for an intense battle... Spoiler: It turns out the final boss is super easy and I ended up going to bed early, *womp womp* Have you ever expected a game (or part of a game) to be difficult and it turned out to be really easy? Thanks for all the great stuff you do!

umryan

Hello DLCLCs! With the release of Outer Wilds Echoes of the Eye DLC, I'd like to propose a games industry term that I don't think I've heard before; the DLSequel! Props to Sarah for singing this expansion's praises, because I'm beyond impressed with what is essentially a sequel embedded in the base game that greatly expands the core experience without diminishing it. Are there any other DLC expansions you can think of that you might consider a DLSequel? And what about the other way, sequels that should have remained DLCs? I'd consider RE3 (in both instances) as the latter.

Gnoale

Have you ever downplayed your interest in a subject, hoping someone else will go "I love that thing!" and thus letting you open up more about your excitement? Or at the very least, your downplay won't scare anyone away from gaining an interest in the future.

Sincerly, Eric

Hi O'Dell, great to see you back! Always awesome to hear your voice so I'll direct this question to you. If... how do I ask this.. if Holidays were Fighters in a Fighting Game. Who would win? Would Thanksgiving dropkick New Years? Would Christmas take out 4th of July with a Wave dash? Does Halloween automatically have the most different outfits? Who would be the DLC Fighters? Thanks! Hope you and everyone else have an amazing Thanksgiving.

Fabian Katthöfer

Hello CLCs, I gave the surge multiple tries over the years, but was stopped by the first boss (PAX) every time. Recently I felt ready to give it another go and FINALY succeeded. After this early roadblock I began loving this game and now can appreciate why many people recommend it. My question is: Do you have a game which you needed to start multiple times before you fell in love with it eventually? Keep up the great work and greetings from Germany! Fabian

PhillyYeetSteak

Hello cohorts and friends! With Halo Infinite shaping up to be the return to form the series needed, what other franchises (either active or dormant) are you personally hoping makes a big comeback? Personally, i would love to see Burnout return with modern destruction physics. Happy Thanksgiving!

Christian Jimenez

Hello, I've been holding back on buying Red Dead Redemption 2 because I'm hoping for a new-gen updated version. With the GTA Remasters debacle how long do you think it will take for Rockstar to release that and should we have high hopes for a proper version of it? Thanks.

Hunter Sax

Hey since we have a resident horse girl now, maybe we can figure this out. We whistle for so many horses in video games, however Wander yells Agro, what other game characters calls their horse by name and abandons the whistle?

bizkiut (Nick S.)

Alright, it's that time of year. What is your favorite holiday tradition? Personally, it's sitting in the living room with nothing but the decorative lights on while watching Elf or some other classic holiday movie.

Muffyn Crumbs

Whaddup Minn to the Max? I was thinking about Goldeneye the other day as I often do and had this thought: Goldeneye 64 is more iconic and important (by revolutionizing the games industry) than the film that's its based on. What are some other games that are more iconic, influential or acclaimed than the film they're based on?

Tokyo Game Life

MinnMax, My vote for most underrated game of 2021 is Monster Hunter Stories 2. I listen to many game podcasts, but not a single one even mentioned this game around its release. What was a time you were really into a game, but no one was talking about it?

Kyle Silva

Hello Cohorts! We’ve talked a bit about best games of this year, but sometimes we come across a game that might be a year of two old that we would have given its due credit for top games of its year, if we had played it during its release year. If given the chance to change your top games of past years around, because you really liked it you played it in 2021, what would you add?

Grizzled Gaming

Hey gang! What foods should be banned from the Thanksgiving dinner table?

Giovanni D'Amico

Hey guys - if I think of real-world career paths and their video game counterparts, it's almost always going to be more exciting to play the fantastical and exaggerated video game version. Think: Phoenix Wright, Crazy Taxi, Stardew Valley, Paperboy, Wrecking Crew, the Tycoon games - the list goes on. What's a profession that's more exciting in real life than when it is represented in games?

brandalorian

Hiya MinnMaxxers, Longtime/first-time. I would like to know: which videogame characters do you think host the best Thanksgiving get-togethers? I'm not just talking food; I mean happy vibes, pretty themed décor, good hooch, the whole shebang. I happen to think that Tifa hosts a mean Turkey Day; she finds delicious foods, cooks up a storm, and serves some fantastic holiday cocktails. But I gotta know who you think hosts the best Thanksgiving. Love what you folks do, and I'm so glad this community exists. Have a wonderful holiday, gang!!

Cade Mead

Happy Holidays! Do you feel like you enjoy the holiday season more in cold and/or snowy weather, or does it make no difference? For what it's worth, I like the coziness of the cold and a dusting of snow.

Jason Wojnar

Did you ever fall asleep in the movie theater? It's happened to me three times.

CrabPalace

What's some real life jank?

RiskyChrisP

Ho, ho, ho, Cohorts! It’s about time to set up the Christmas tree. Run me through your tree strats! Do you prefer multicolored lights or all white lights on trees? What’s your favorite ornament you have? Do you use artificial trees or real ones? Have a great Thanksgiving!

Ari

Hey MinnMax! I found growing up the gift for a gamer would actually be a game. When I think of gaming gifts today, I personally find myself getting excited about giving something that makes homage and or references to my friends favorite game. What are some memorable gifts you have received or given? What's your favorite holiday snack? Does your family have any game traditions during the holidays? Happy Thanksgiving! - Ari

Sean Mason

Hey CLCs, Happy Thanksgiving! Over the last few weeks of school various teachers have reported items missing from their classroom. These items range from coffee mugs to classroom decorations. At first, people thought they misplaced their items, but with more and more reports filing in, it appears that we have a thief amongst the students. Unfortunately, on Wednesday I fell victim to this thief. My Roxas statue that is proudly displayed on my desk was the swiped during second period (my prep). The thief had to go to great lengths to find it as I place all my items away before I leave my room. This is one of my favorite things displayed in my classroom….. now it’s personal. A few of us teachers have decided to form a “special task force” to catch this person. I am determined to get my statue back! So my question: What is an important/meaningful item that has been stolen from you and did you ever get it back? If so, how? Best, Sean M.

Matt Lynch

I watched this kinda good 3 part documentary about the meteoric rise and fall of clothing brand Von Dutch on Hulu this week. It got me wondering if any of the crew got into any embarrassing fashion fads over the years? Also since this is a horse girl podcast did Ed Hardy just straight up steal Lisa Frank’s entire aesthetic?

Nick from Atlanta

So, y'all gonna talk about last week's Activision news? Or nah? And yeah, I probably sound flippant about this, but I was really disappointed not to hear anything about it last week. Maybe you think it's too difficult of a subject, or maybe it's triggering for somebody, but this is probably the most important games news story of the year? It feels disingenuous to be about "getting better" when you aren't covering things like this, so they aren't getting better for the people working in those conditions.

uEC

I miss the Xbox 360/PS3 generation of gaming the most by far. Microtransactions were on the horizon, but not ubiquitous like now. The size of games and the number of systems they contained were reasonable, and meaning that dev time even on massive games were 2-3 years generally (we got the entire Mass Effect trilogy in one generation!). Also, the pacing of games releases felt better so you could actually play most of the big games that came out, and "backlogs" barely existed. So, esteemed panel members and Leo, what generation of gaming do you miss the most and why?
