BINGOBONGO

Long time listener first time questioner! With Mario Kart 8 suddenly recieving a huge DLC out of the blue, what game from any previous generation would you like to see recieved the same treatment? Thank you for all the great content throughout the years! /Aldo from Stockholm

Hey MinnMax crew! What one-liner phrases from games, TV shows or movies do you find yourself using in day-to-day life?

Jason Wojnar

To balance out my question from last week, give us an interesting story about a time you helped out a complete stranger.

Let’s all try some Pokémon tongue twisters! I took classic tongue twisters and infused them with Pokémon twists: Shelder sells sea shells by the secret shore. Peter Piplup picked a peck of pickled Pechas Torchic Beartic (repeat faster and faster) (Based on toy boat) Betty Butterfree bought some Beautifly And last but not least: How much wood would a bidoof doof if a bidoof could doof wood?

Brandon Milligan

Sup cohorts, how you livin? I think the whole world has collectively decided they are sick of the Skyrim lockpicking minigame. My personal favorite has always been Oblivion's because it required precise timing and got easier as you leveled up the skill. So my question is, what is your favorite lockpicking minigame? Hard mode: You can't pick automatic unlock through a skillcheck... Or you can. I'm not your boss.

Kit N

Hi all, hope all is well! First question on here! Since a highly anticipated sequel is coming out, I’m curious if you have a preference for sequels. Do you prefer for them to reinvent most of the systems and radically change in many ways, while keeping the same main characters (e.g. Super Mario Bros 2, Mass Effect 2) or do you prefer something that keeps many of the same systems but manages to heavily refine them and just give you more of something good (e.g. Spiderman Miles Morales). Cheers from Sweden!

Hey cohorts, When you think of Harrison Ford, is he Han Solo or Indiana Jones in your mind. My vote is on Indy.

CptCobblePot

Hey Lovley computer video game playing cohorts? Nailed it. Are you all into gaming memorabilia? I recently got kicked out my home office. For a good reason though, my soon to be born daughter needs a nursery. So we are moving my office furniture and some of my memorabilia items to a smaller room. I have to make the hard choice of picking which items to keep on display and what to sell/put in storage. Do you have a favorite gaming, movie, or tv show memorabilia item that you cherish or just enjoy? For me it’s a tie between a cast signed interstellar poster or my collection of video game steelbooks. Thanks! CptCobblePot

Hi cohorts! One thing that has stood out in the horizon reviews is the lack of talk about the dual sense! I’ve noticed this with most recent reviews too but it stood out a lot with horizon. Are we already over the added features? And how are the haptics and triggers in horizon?

Hey gang, What’s the probability that the Netflix Bioshock movie will actually be good? And who would you like to see direct, write, star, etc? Bioshock has been #1 on my list of dream game adaptations, but as a series rather than a film. With such impeccable world building, I just worry a film won’t be able to do it justice. My pitch would be a Bioshock prequel series about the rise and fall of Rapture (basically adapting the book) since the story of the game hits better when player agency is part of the experience.

Inspired by Sarah's story about tricking her friend in Mario Kart, what are some ways you've lied to or tricked your friends in video games? For instance, my cousin convinced me that Oddjob was actually the worst character to use in GoldenEye so that he could use him. The justification my cousin used was that Oddjob's size didn't make him a smaller target as much as it made him the perfect size to be hit with headshots. He used a similar lie to get me to use Jaws, saying that he would only be hit in the stomach and therefore be fine.

Loved the idea of missed Jokes. I’ve got one from about 2 years ago. Every time you gave capcom a round of applause I wanted you to say ‘clapcom’

Maniac

Do games need or deserve to be re-reviewed? Cyberpunk 2077 getting a ton of patches, and now being 'officially' released on next-gen consoles makes me think a lot of people are asking the same, but Day One launch reviews don't reflect the game people will play today. This makes me think back to Rome 2 Total War, a favorite of mine in the series that had a DISASTROUS launch (I would argue worse than CP2077s) but has since been patched and supported and was receiving updates for five years after release.

Maniac

Missed joke opportunity; respond to anything with "that's where your wrong bucko/kiddo/partner" and make finger guns

Seth Filbin

When will Ben Reeves be on the podcast?

DarkFishDays

Hi all! What’s something you do better now compared to 5 years ago?

BiscuitsWithDavey

What do you think is the most underserved setting or time period in video games? Hint: there are no correct answers, but the correct answer is NOT underwater, ice levels or zombies

Hi Cohorts! The other day I was listening to a classic rock radio station and they played Green Day's Good Riddance. "Green Day? Classic Rock??" I thought, as I sat there feeling old in the local Taco Bell parking lot. So, what was first the experience you had where you truly thought to yourself "wow, I'm old now"?

StillGotGame

Hey guys. What do you think the chances are of Sony continuing to release consoles whilst Microsoft focus on a cloud based model? If you look at the current gen, the Xbox features are more software based (quick resume, Game Pass) whereas Sony are all about haptics, 3D audio and VR. This seems to suggest that Sony are relying on hardware in a way XBox simply aren't Do you think this may result in a change console generations either next or the one after or is it more likely we will still be choosing between two pieces of hardware for the foreseeable future?

Andrew Molnar

Hey Cohorts! I'm currently watching "Encanto" with my 2 y/o son for the 50th time, he just can't get enough of it. What's a movie you watched over and over again without ever growing tired of it? Or for the parents, what's your kid watching?

Strange Sloth

I’ve been getting wrist pains lately. Do any of you stretch or put tiger balm on your joints to stay healthy? Is arthritis a gamers worst nightmare?

AnAttackCorgi

Howdy gang! What video game character do you look like?

The Sleepy MailMan

What’s the most effective or memorable commercial you’ve ever seen and why?

TheUnchartedWolf

Hey cohorts, what's the longest a game has been on your hard drive without launching it once. For example, I've had rise of the tomb raider downloaded since 2019 and it's been a running joke in my friend group that I will never get to it.

ProcyonNumber6

Benn and Friennds! What's your favorite in-game card or board game? Gwent in Witcher? Orlog in AC Valhalla? Triple Triad in Final fantasy?

Will Smith

Hey CLCs, With Digimon holding its first ever con on Pokemon Day (which feels like a discussion in itself), what video game(s)/ video game news would they have to announce to overshadow Pokemon on its day? Things to consider: -Digimon is owned by Bandai Namco -They helped with Smash Bros (Agumon for smash?) -They developed Pokken (maybe a digimon vs pokemon fighting game?) -They're publishing Elden Ring (maybe dlc cosmetic or bonkers hidden boss?) The only limit is your imagination!

Hi Cohorts, Ben's recent rants on having people acknowledge the ps4 already had speakers in the controller reminds me of my own struggles getting people to acknowledge the following 2 things: 1. People call Sony's Spider-Man combat Arkham-like. To my knowledge, Spider-Man 2 on the PS2 had the mechanic of pressing a button to counter once the spidey sense kicks in. Arkahm games should be Spider-Man like! 2. Road Trip Adventure on ps2 did Rocket League way back in 2002, complete with rocket equipped cars and all. My better quest goal for the month is to share these facts with the WORLD!

Ryan

Hey all, apologies if this has already been addressed but I hadn’t seen it yet. I am excited for Forbidden West but I am worried about it dipping into cultural appropriation, similar to Sifu from a week ago. I’ve seen some reviews hint at it, but kinda just left it at that. Does Forbidden West cross a line or is it something more eye rolling than anything? Anything you could share in regards to this would be greatly appreciated.

Benjamin

Hey MinnMax, we all love video games and board games but what's your favorite physical toy?

TommenDotGif

Hi everyone. What's the optimal way to enjoy a 3 day weekend? I'm a fan of cramming everything I can into the first day so I can have two days of glorious nothingness.

Adam Cohen

Hey MinnMax crew, I've got a better quest goal. During the early part of the pandemic I started writing a novel, which is something I've always wanted to do. I've fallen off of it a few times now, but would like to finish it by the end of the year. Can you hold me to it?

Shawn Mills

Do you prefer games that have a lot of postgame content or do you prefer knowing that you have seen everything in a game when you roll credits?

Ben Shively

What are the newest and oldest games in your personal top 10 games of all time? For me, Metal Gear Solid 1 is my oldest and Half Life Alyx is my newest.

Jacob Longo

Hey CLCs, How do you typically pace your open-world adventures? Do you sprinkle side content between story missions, binge the main story and explore after the game, or something else?

It's Hugo's Nook

Hey there Cohorts! My betterquest goal for the month is to really pump on Duolingo (at least 100xp a day) for my German - all because of this German girl I’ve been seeing 🤷🏻‍♂️. She’s speaks fluent English but I kinda wanna impress her with some German. My question for the panel is: what is the wildest/biggest thing you’ve done for someone you were interested in just to impress them? Auf widersehen !

Lunst

Lego just announced they will launch a Tallneck set based around Horizon Forbidden West (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z19s3KldJdE). If you could choose, which game or franchise would you like to see LEGO do next?

Kees ('Case') Mulder

Watching the Cyberpunk 2077 stream, it was clear that their marketing strategy has completely changed: no hype for a potential future product, just very modest explanation of things that are done and released today. Is this smart? What is the best level of hypebuilding?

Empiric Unicorn

Hey CLCs! If you could create a fast food meal based on a game, what game and what would be the shtick?

Josh Marshall

It's official (unofficially cuz who am I to say) physical midnight launch lines and get-togethers are dead. What was the last game you guys waited in line for/went up to your local GameStop just to chat up the guy working the counter because you were so excited about it. Who knows, maybe you just wanted some sweet sweet physical edition goodies ie. Skyrim map or Witcher 3 Wolf pendant? Mine was GTA 5 and just before midnight people started chanting "G-T-A, G-T-A". Good times.

Ian Switaj

Hello MinnMax! In celebration of the 10th anniversary of the PS Vita in North America, what is something that you like(d) -- that may or may not have failed -- that was ahead of its time?

coshimitsu

If you could be granted best in the world skills at any game or game genre, what would be your choice?

Hootz

I've been trying to decide how I feel about Nintendo adding DLC to their online expansion pack. Thinking only about the Mario kart DLC, with 8 people on my family plan, it's probably the better deal to sign up right? Maybe I just don't like subscription services. How do you all feel about this proposition? If you're still on the fence about it from a consumer's perspective, is there a DLC announcement that would tip you over the edge?

Marty

Talking about gliders and whatnot got me thinking: what is your favorite method of travel in a game? Horse? Motorcycle? Glider? What say you!?

Terry Pierson

In the Yoshi’s Island games, there is a cactus enemy (Pokeys) who bounce a baby cactus on their head. If you steal and eat them, the Pokey withers and looks devastated. It is heartbreaking and made me start avoiding combat with them. What is an underrated animation you love?

Mike Po

Hello cohorts! I was wondering, which do you all value more, rushing to finish new games ASAP to participate in the launch discussions, or taking your time to play a game on your own terms at the risk of not having a take when the discussion is at its peak? Sometimes I sympathize with game reviewers when they subtly drop hints that they mainlined a game and didn't get to do a lot of side content, but if the launch conversation is engaging and interesting, maybe it's worth it!

Matthew Goss

Despite Bioshock being my favorite video game, the Netflix adaption has me very nervous due to their track record with pre existing properties. That being said, what video game would YOU trust Netflix to be able to pull off?

Taylor Clark

Hey gang! (Gang ,gang) When do you do side quests in video games.? I try my darnedest to get them done as im playing so i have everything i want/ need going into the final boss/ end of the game. But it never works out that way and i always mean to go back and finish them but in my mind i finished the game so whats the point.

Tim Holisak

Is Leo Vader coming back?

Jeorin

Greetings MinnMax crew, A news story was posted today about a promotion for Horizon Forbidden West. Sony will be planting a tree for each person who gets a particular trophy by the deadline. This is a strange, but cool promotion. What is the strangest/coolest promotion you can think of that has been done for a game in the past?
