Starkiller

My first issue of Game Informer was January 2008, and I remember watching the very first episode of Replay when it came out (Jan 2010) and have followed you ever since!

Noah Watkins

Started listening to the GI show in 2016 and moved over to MinnMax after the layoffs and hearing it plugged on the show.

Solarlancer

In 2014, listening to the GameInformer Dark Souls 2 content.

Chris Logan

I started listening to the GI Show during the Hanson/Tim Turi era

Ryan Blaquiere

Listened to GI show for about a year until Ben left. Didn't find Minnmax until Andy Mac left.

Will

GI show circa 2014

Gavin C

First saw minnmax when the final fantasy 7 remake deepest dive was recommended to me and have been a fan ever since

Arnold Scriven

Started listening to the Game Informer Show since it started (my first podcast). I believe I heard about the MinnMax announcement either through a GI Show episode, or a Ben tweet. Started listening to the MinnMax show since the start.

Logan Ware

A friend of mine showed me the infamous Mario Party replay episode, and then shortly after that I saw the Half Life Super Replay. Started watching the GI Show on YouTube and I've been here ever since!

Andy H

I discovered MinnMax through Ben being on Easy Allies stuff.

Brenton and Meriam

I started getting GI issues around 2010, but I didn't know about anything on Youtube until the Spider-man game club in 2018. Dove deep into Replay and became very attached to everyone just in time for the layoffs to hurt.

SporadicSilence

I started listening to the Game Informer Show around February 2019 and followed you all here when you launched MinnMax. I read my first issue of Game Informer earlier than that (sometime in 2010, I think), but I didn't really know who any of the people working at Game Informer were until I listened to the podcast.

No Aim

I first discovered Minnmax through the Game Informer show and the e3 roundtables. I remember them specifically because they were the few interviews during e3 that didn't feel like the developers were just reading the script for the entire interview. I've been listening to the podcasts ever since.

Dustin Guarino

I started listening to the Game Informer show when Dreams was on the cover which I think was 2018?

Parmetheus

I found you guys with one of the horror game GI SuperReplays with Tim. Might have been Blue Stinger. Followed ever since

PhillyYeetSteak

I started subscribing to GI back in the late PS2 days. I think I started getting into the replay videos around 2013, and then started watching the GI show a few months later. Been a big fan ever since, GI was my home screen for my phone's web browser for several years

Judgement Kazzy

I think I started following online GI content in late middle school, so that would have been... 2011/2012?

Michael Berry

I got game informer magazines intermittently as early as the ps1 but had a regular subscription during 2009-2011. Started listening to the GI podcast around when Hanson started. Would religiously watch the GI Replays on Youtube. When Gamestop messed things up, I stopped listening for awhile and I did not hear about Minnmax at its inception. Only because of Youtube's algorithm did I discover Minnmax about a year and a half into your journey. I was super happy that you all have reemerged since I always found your rapport really good and funny.

Brooke Burnes

Started listening to the GI Show in 2016!

Ryan Bass

I've been following GI for about 16 years I think? I remember one of my first print copies of the magazine had the Twilight Princess review in it, and I kept up with the website and online content when that launched.

Faraz Rizvi

Ben came on easy Allies podcast

Vilis

I watched GIS when Ben was hosting, and was disappointed when he left, but didn't really follow up until a gamer friend of mine was like "Yo, there are these gamers looking at houses on this House Hunter Rise thing, and it's hilarious." Then I saw it was Ben I was like "OH! That's where he went!"

Nora Parón

watched GI stuff at some point in my life, eventually stopped and forgot about it, then saw a trivia tower with someone i knew (kyle bosman) and was like "oh hey! i know these guys" (and then also realized jacob geller was a regular contributor, who i am a huge fan of and yet somehow i never heard of minnmax until then lmao)

YARF

Been following GI since 2003 or so, when I was a WEE lad. Still remember trading stuff in at FuncoLand around then, before Game Stop branding took over. Then discovered the podcast with Mat years later and loved it, and have followed all the iterations since, including the great exodus to Minnmax. Change ever constant as they say!

Cade Mead

I didn't find the GI show until late 2015, early 2016-ish. The first listed on my youtube history is the April 29th 2016 episode, but I'm not 100% how accurate that is. For what it's worth, I've always read gaming mags, but didn't catch the youtube presence until pretty late.

Spider_Dan

All the years are starting to blend together. I think 2017 or 2018 i started listening to GI podcast.

Kris Calkins

Late 2013 is when I discovered GI online content

Max Jahner

I subbed to Game Informer when Ben came on the Easy Allies podcast, but didn't follow it super close.  Would watch shorter videos, but not the podcast as I just didn't have the time for two.  Appears that I subbed to MinnMax's Patreon...  *Squints* one month after Kyle announced he was leaving EZA.

Trooper

I discovered from an EZA shoutout when you guys first started

Cognos

I started listening after hearing Leo Vader on Fire Escape Cast

Garrett Peters

I started watching Game Informer online videos and podcasts around 2012!

Collin McRae

Game informer podcast around the original dark souls and the first few super replays

Shawn Mills

I started following Game Informer online when they redid their website and magazine (I think in 05). I remember reading about the redesign in the Epic Mickey issue and loving the way it looked and the new emphasis on video content.

micspam

Whats Game Informer?

CertainlyCity

friend of mine suggested the podcast like 2 years ago, that's how I found ya. What made me stick around was all the FF7 Remake coverage iirc

Chris Davies

Started listening to the GI show in 2015, have not stopped listening to you all since!

Christopher Hitchcock

I started listening after Kyle’s Gaming Ride Home podcast ended.

Matt

I started following Game Informer with the Snoop Dogg cover story, and listened to the podcast for the last year or two of the Helgeson era, and then all of the Hanson era

Pablo Castillo

After getting the magazine for a few years, I discovered the GI YouTube in late 2011 and started listening to the pod after Helgeson left and Hanson and Tim took over.

Rickfromatlanta

I started listening during the Helgeson days I don’t remember the year though maybe 2014 or 2015 and haven’t stopped listening since then.

Luca Rescigno

I discovered Game Informer through Video Games Weekly with Paul Charchian, which then led me to MinnMax. Somehow it took me like 6 months to discover MinnMax after you all started

Mark Weston

I discovered MinnMax from your Deepest Dive On Final Fantasy 7 Remake.

PlainShane

I followed you from the Game Informer Show. However, I was not a GI person, other than having liked the show for a couple years before MinnMax. I found the GI Show one day after running out of IGN shows and wanting more video game talking heads content. Back when you were hosting the GI Show, you had a similar question to the audience of how we found the GI show. I told you my story and you quickly mentioned it on the next show in a self-effacing way about how you were getting the "IGN runoff" audience numbers lol

Jason Ciranna

Started with the Game Informer magazine before the podcast even existed. Been a huge fan ever since. Keep up the good work!

MJ

Started listening to the game informer podcast only a few months before Hansen left, which was a bummer at the time because I had only just started really getting to know the different personalities and stuff, and i fell off listening with the new host pretty quickly, and I only started listening to minnmax a year later because I thought it was patreon exclusive

Gera

Whats game informer? (JK, I was half way through the entire catalogue of game informer podcasts when the big layoffs happened. Very close to the pre Hanson years. The community emails were my favorite; the camaraderie, the sense of humor, the indie games to discover— stuff that’s still at minnmax today)

OmegaBuster

I subscribed after Ben guest hosted on Kinda Funny Games Daily. I think this is a great way to expand the community as well. I’ve heard Ben on various other podcasts or streams, and I think it helps bring folks to the show. We just need to start getting Sarah to get host, and this patreon may explode!

Castor Troy

House Hunter Rise and also the exit interviews.

Andrew Malkin

Started with Game Informer in the late 90s early 2000s.
