Why do you think so few games let you sit down and what are some of your favorite usable chairs in games?

Pelicanman

What’s the best game you’ve ever played that you’ve never heard a single soul talk about? Mine is the truly bizarre but weirdly brilliant Blues and Bullets.

Andy Dwyer

What season do you look forward to the most and why?

Matthew W

Hi MinnMax Crew, what do you think are some of the key ingredients for a good murder mystery game?

Muffyn Crumbs

Jacob Geller: I love your podcast Something Rotten!! But you're breaking one of the golden rules of podcast by not putting music during your ads! Tell him Hanson!

WeGoGiant

Inspired by Hanson's love of Touch Type Tale. What's the worst named game you've ever loved? Or alternatively, what's the best named game you've ever hated?

Joe McMartin

For a buy 2 get 2 free on Doritos, my wife bought 2 nacho cheese and 2 cool ranch. In what world is cool ranch equal to nacho cheese?

Nick West

With Dead Island 2 coming out this week, what game with a protracted development history most delivered upon actual release?

Jerry Young

I redownloaded horizon forbidden west to get ready for the dlc. The minute my save loaded I was hit with the question “how do I play this game again?” All the systems controls, mechanics, took me a good hour to feel competent again. Any games that you have gone back to after a long time away and realized you don’t remember at all how to play it?

Stoopkid90

Hi MinnMax Crew! I was listening to a song the other day called In The Walls by Knocked Loose and at the end of the song there is a radio broadcast that sounded strangley familiar so I did some digging around and found out it was the radio broadcast that is in P.T. ! What is the weirdest or deepest cut video game reference you've ever found in another medium?

Ben Shively

Do any of you have any text/email pet peeves? The one that is somewhat new that has driven me up a wall is when people reach out to me with a message like, “Hey, I have a question for you,” rather than just asking the question. I have gotten to the point where I don’t respond until they actually ask it. Petty or not, I don’t care.

Travis Manick

There was an emotional moment in the Abbie Heppe interview (the demo they worked on). As an interviewer, how do you decide what to do in that situation? Do you push through and change topics, try for levity, pause and let them work through it?

Matthew Byerwalter

Hi MinnMax crew. How do I make my cats like my wife more? When we hang out on the couch the cats usually are either in my lap or by my side, leaving my wife catless. I don't want her to think they don't like her (they do), so what can I do to make them hang out with her more?

Dustin Davis

What's the most embarrassing case of mistaken identity in public? Like when you think you recognize someone and call them by the wrong name, until they turn around or get closer.

Victor Pham

How long will XDefiant last before being shut down?

Kraven Morcome

Hey MinnMax, What percentage of people do you think care about performance over fidelity? With the announcement that Redfall will be 30fps at launch I've lost any interest I had in playing the game day 1 and will be waiting for a performance patch. I feel like this is a big issue, but I can admit that I'm in an echo chamber as most opinions I hear are from more enthusiast gamers and not the casual general audience.

My name is Noé (No - eh) Listener from GI days, first time subscriber. First, favorite joke ever is when Dan Talk was talking about a stone that keeps drinks cold but didn’t remember name. Leo Vader said, “Maybe it’s a soap stone,” and Dan didn’t get the joke. Question (to make show better): Think of the game of your dreams (any genre, any budget). Now, the game is finished and you’ve played it and it feels exactly how you want it to feel in all aspects. You don’t know how well it will perform, but you know it is just what you envisioned. Question - do you choose to put it on GamePass (knowing what we know of GamePass from developers) or do you risk the market and avoid GamePass? I wish you all a good day!!

BobaFets

How often do you multi-task while gaming and do you ever feel guilty? I often find myself checking the phone during a movie scene and feel like I may be missing out on some key elements (a me problem) what's the computer living cohorts experience with this?

Jason Wojnar

Hi Minnnnnnnnnmaxxxxxxxx I am currently trying to unload, get rid of, and sell as much of mine, my mother's, and my late Father's stuff as possible. Literally to the point of fitting everything we own into a luggage or two. This includes Vinyl (about 500 records) books, games, childhood toys and all things in between. Do you find it hard to let go of things? After living abroad for so I long I am fine getting rid of it all and frankly see it as a burden. Thank God for hard drives, E-books, and music streaming.

Manic_pixel_

Hey gang, fun game for you… I’m going to list a bunch of games and I want you to predict which of the 2-10s (if any) they end up on. Dead Space Fire Emblem Engage HiFi Rush Season: A letter to the future Metroid Prime remaster Like a Dragon: Ishin Octopath Traveler 2 Bayonetta Origins: Careza and the lost Demon Star Wars Jedi Survivor Advanced Wars remastered

After I beat Dredge last week, I was thinking about what other genres or gameplay loops could benefit from a scary and unsettling atmosphere. My personal choice would be an old school 3D platformer/collectathon. Like Mario 64 or Banjo-Kazooie but creepy as hell, where you want to explore and look around every corner for secrets but also, ya know, you kinda don’t! Thanks!

ChazCheeto

Hey Maximum Minn-ers! The Sims (the series), has a lot of interesting fudging of time / reality to present interesting game scenarios. A few examples are a Sim burning down an average of 5 homes in their lifetime due to cooking accidents, playing Rock/Paper/Scissors with the Grim Reaper to stave off mortality, or meeting a stranger, falling in love, marrying, and having a baby on the way all within a 24-hour span. My question for ya'll is: what is your favorite weird distortion within the reality of The Sims, as it compares to what you've come to expect in the real world?

Swell

Hello Minnmax! I have recently started rock climbing and it has quickly become my favorite hobby. I actually wish I had discovered it earlier in life. I'm curious, have you come across something recently that you can't believe you were missing out on before?

Shane C

Do you have a dream sim game? I tend to roll my eyes at games like Farming Simulator or Power Wash Simulator or Euro Truck Simulator, but I also know I would spend conservatively $10,000 on a game that just lets me be a random ensign on a random Star Trek starship.

SideEye Bro

Hello MinnMax! Do you think big video game directors should take a hint from movie directors and strive to make every new game in a new genre? Like Kojima next game will be RTS game then Sports Sim then Survival game with crafting. Or Miyazaki's next game will be first person shooter. Imagine how boring movies would be if Ridley Scott shot only one genre of movies. (It's kinda a serious question and kinda not.)

Grizzled Gaming

Hey gang! What are some of your favorite sauce-based condiments? Personally, I'm a sucker for a good comeback sauce.

Rikimaru

Hey, Minnmax! I was thinking about Final Fantasy X and it's world. Spira was inspired by Southeast Asia and the Pacific Islands, cultures not often represented in games. It really resonated with me having grown up in Guam. What is a game that brought back memories of a place for each of you? What are some locations or cultures you would like to see in games, fictional or otherwise?

Garrett Wainstock

What's the best way to get rid of my childhood collection of games? I have no interest in keeping the bulk, nor does my family want anything. I'm happy with ODEs and Everdrive carts. Do I ebay this stuff or just dump the lot at a game store? Anyone working at Minnmax that's looking for specific N64, GCN, PS2, 360, GB, GBC, GBA, DS, 3DS stuff? DDR/Taiko/DK Bongos, there's a ton of crap here. Thannks.

Tom Rickard

Hey folks! I’ve been listening to The Film Reroll podcast lately, where they turn movies into DnD style campaigns. A couple years ago the DM told the group they were doing an 80’s teen sex comedy and about halfway through the campaign, the DM then revealed it was actually Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter. Chaos ensued! It got me thinking, what would be an interesting game to have that type of bait and switch? It is advertised as one thing and then halfway through, switches genres in the craziest way possible. Or is there already a game that pulls this off well?

Thom Blackburn

Hey Minnmax, What is the DEFINITIVE fishin' game? (The one that most captures the thrill of sitting and then being startled and then getting fish) Bonus points if it doesn't end in -ing Thanks, Thom Blackburn

RickyWinterborn

what quirky new feature could nintendo add to the switch 2? like how the wii had the wii remote, switch 1 had detachable joycons and docking etc. I literally can't think of what they could add, they dabbled in VR with labo or maybe something really weird like a apple watch style wearable that could be used for gameplay but also track things when your not gaming, similar to pokemon GO?

SlyCut

What is currently your favorite cereal? How about when you were a kid?

Ian Christopher

Hello ministers of the max, my question is what’s the weirdest way you’ve experienced and preferably beat a game? For example, I played through all of KOTOR on iOS as the only time I’ve played it. Half way through I upgraded from a iPhone 4 to 5 and realized the 4 had been squishing the screen and the characters weren’t that fat. I also beat mgs3 on the 3DS as my second MGS game.

Jared Piers

Hello All, If you were visited by a future version of yourself, and they told you that your favourite game of all time was going to be released exactly 1 and a half years from now, what would you think it would be? Thanks

Gabe Valdes

Heya Minnie Maxies! When playing a game with a character creator do you have a go-to style or look you try and achieve? I find myself trying to create hideous freaks more often than trying to look cool or create a character that looks anything like me and wondered if this is a mechanic you ever put thought into or do you lame it up and go as the default? (S/O to games that have comprehensive/realistic hair styles so that everyone is able to create themselves if they so desire)

Zeth Hillman-Johnson

I think “Old School RuneScape” is secretly one of the most interesting games out right now, specifically because of how its dev team, Jagex, interacts with its community. Because the game is specifically meant to harken back to an old version of RuneScape, almost all updates to the game are presented to players throughout their development, and players vote on if they want those changes to happen, including “should we add 8 new haircut options to the game?” (approved by players), and “should we remove an accidental green pixel from a certain UI icon?” (denied by players). In my view, it makes Jagex one of the most community-oriented game devs in the industry, and actually feels somewhat similar to the way MinnMax interacts with its community. Can you think of any other game devs that have had such a close, open relationship with their community?

dmoreno

With Dreams effectively being put on ice for active development, Do you think Sony is making the wrong choice? With the rise of Unreal Engine for Fortnite, Roblox, and Minecraft (not recent but still relevant). There seems to be a huge swell into what the metaverse is and what it could be, Whether it's a content creation engine like Roblox or a mall filled with licensed goods like Fortnite. Is Dreams being shuttered the wrong move? Was Dreams just too complex to compete with Roblox or minecraft? Will MM's next game be a creation engine or will it be a standard game? If you were Sony, what would you have done?

RynaGoGo

Howdy Ben and the Void! Hollow Knight Silksong’s release date will be announced on April 19th at Nintendo Indie World. Im so confident this will happen Im willing to bet. If Im wrong I will support MinnMax at the $50 tier representing Hollow Knight. If Im right then I don’t know… Kyle has to eat his own butt or something. But to my question, do you think with enough stretching and practice you could bite your own butt? If your life depended on it and you had a whole year, could you chomp your own cheeks?

Anthony Dungan

Hey MinnMax! Is it just me, or did there used to be a lot more spinoff games for big franchises like Pokemon? Stuff like Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, Pokemon Ranger, Trozei, etc. It honestly bums me out that series don't branch out into as many genres as they once did. If you could choose one modern game series to get a bunch of spinoffs made for it, what series would you choose and what spinoffs would you want?

Ben with one N

Hey MinnMax, with Tears of the Kingdom just around the corner, my subconscious has surfaced a long-dormant gaming sin and I require absolution. Here is my story: when I was a child, my mother watched some other children at our house after school. We had an NES, and another kid had one too. He would sometimes bring over games to play together after school. One Friday afternoon, he brought over the original Legend of Zelda cartridge. We had it on the floor to pop into the NES at some point, but the afternoon got away from us, and as it started to get dark I realized he would be leaving soon and we wouldn’t get to play this new game. In a flash of darkness, I grabbed an opaque container of some kind and placed it over the game when he wasn’t looking. He went home, forgetting about the game, while I spent the following weekend… getting past the first two screens before giving up and going back to playing Mario 3. Look, I know I did a dark thing, so I need to know: am I Ganon in this story?

Congratulations, you're finally getting a super power, but there's a 10% chance that things wont go quite right when using it. I've listed 5 powers, with their possible negative effects. Which would you choose to have? Flight - It can stop working and you'll start falling for 15 seconds before you can start flying again. Invisibility - For 20 seconds you'll alternate between being visible and invisible. Teleport - Teleport to the wrong location but still within 3 miles of your destination. Shape Shifting - When you try to shift back to yourself, you'll be unable to, and you'll be stuck as whatever you shifted into for an additional hour. Super Strength - You won't be able to control your strength for 3 minutes. Touching things will crush them, even walking around will cause you to stomp really hard and break the ground.

thewholehamdamily

Lately, I have been playing Wo Long and I have to say that this game probably has the strangest double jump I've ever seen. Instead of a second jump with a additional height, the player somersaults at the same height of the jump. Instead of gaining weight, you gain extra distance and the ability to clambor up walls while somersaulting. After several hours, this jump mechanic still feels extremely awkward, but it's kinda fun. What is your favorite example of a common game mechanic implemented in the jankiest fashion?

What is the furthest you have gone to get revenge in an online game? For example in a game of paragon, someone was trash talking me so i ambushed them while they were getting a buff, stole it and then killed them with it. Then i made a video of the replay and posted it privately on youtube and sent them the link through psn. Also, is what i did considered toxic? Thanks

I recently watched the 2022 movie The Menu, and I keep thinking about it! Very light spoiler if it's okay 😬: Among many dishes served at a private restaurant in the movie, there are two dishes that represent a high point and a low point regarding passion for food. 1) A simple cheeseburger and french fries made with love prevails over other supposedly pretentious courses 2) The campfire s'more (Suriel Vazquez's favorite snack) is called "The most offensive assault on the human palate ever contrived - unethically sourced chocolate and gelatinized sugar water imprisoned by industrial grade graham cracker. It's everything wrong with us, and yet we associate it with innocence and childhood." If you invited a group of stinky games critics and naughty gamers to a private event, which two games would you have them play that exemplify the s'more and the cheeseburger with fries?

Ken H (Kenny2Slice)

Do you prefer for a final boss to be a challenge, or more of a victory lap? The conversation around the final boss of RE4 being a little easy got me thinking about how much I enjoy when a final boss lets me trounce them. It's cathartic, especially if the rest of the game gave me a hard time. In games with leveling or seeking out powerful items or weapons, it feels like a worthy pay off for time spent going after those things.

Caroline

Hey MinnMaxalots! If your pet was a D&D character, what class would they be and why?

Juan M

Hey MinnMax crew, What's an old game mechanic that you wish would see a resurgence? Personally I wish there were more shooting games with auto aim/lockon. My girlfriend isn't great at aiming and it would be awesome if more shooting games had this as a feature to be more accessible to people like her.

Deirdre Bouquet

If you were going to turn one video game into a broadway musical, what video game would it be?

Evin Watson

Is a challenging 2D game inherently more challenging than a 3D one? I think it’s the clunkiness of navigating in 2D and the pettiness of collisions and obstacles. I own a SNES classic and I have been attempting to complete all the titles I can. I recently beat Super Metroid but was real nervous before each boss. I expected a Contra level bullet hell but ultimately the bosses were manageable since you can tank through them with stacked health. But I don’t think I have had that level of dread even with the more challenging similar experiences in 3D.

James Ford

Hello Cohorts. This question is for everyone but Ben. Theoretically if MinnMax were to do a deepest dive on Tears of the Kingdom and Kyle was on it how many times would Ben refer to Kyle as the 'man that wrote the book on Zelda'?

The Sleepy MailMan

Is Toad from the Mario games wearing an adult diaper, or are they just white shorts?

Bread

As the MinnMax community Discords resident Sifu Freak, I just want to say I'm happy to see someone on the show (I'm assuming Leo) playing my favorite game of 2022! Whoever's playing it, which is your favorite level? I'm partial to The Club. Also, I've beaten Sifu 15 times since it came out a little over a year ago, and am not planning to stop, please send help.

Mitch Krassin

For Disney Speedstorm that brought a question to my mind. What does an early access period need to do to get you in as a consumer? Do you have must haves or definitely nots that will make a decision for you?

MarcusW

Longtime supporter, first time writing in, you guys are awesome! I'm listening from Europe and this sometimes makes me wonder: do you feel there's a different perspective on games over here just like is often discussed in the context of American versus Japanese gaming culture? Is there even something that could be called a "european" gaming culture and if so what is it? Keep doing what you're doing, love you guys!

Michael Berry

During my childhood, I went to Sunlight Pool at Coney Island for a fun summer day. While there, I had to pee. Trying to do the right thing, I decided to go to the restroom and pee like a civilized and hygenic person would. As I walked into the restroom, I stepped into something mushy. To my horror, I looked down and some hooligan pooped in the middle of the floor and I stepped right in it with my barefoot! At this moment, I lost part of my childhood and realized the world can be unfair and chaotic. When was the first time you realized the world can be cruel and unfair?

Dean Bowling

What’s the best playlist you all have ever put together? Doesn’t have to be video game related but bonus points if it is. I have one that’s a mix of cozy/nighttime/rainy day video game music that I’m particularly fond of (link: https://spotify.link/upoLkt0L6yb )

Denham Harry

Hey Minnesota Maximums! My partner and I have been going through each of our favourite shows of all time, play for play. We just finished all 12 seasons of Bones and now we’re up to one of my favourite sitcoms of all time: Scrubs. My partners reaction to it has been so insane, she can’t believe she had never even heard of it before. My question is: what’s something that used to be a huge cultural touchstone but doesn’t get mentioned at all now, or something that just means a lot to you and you can’t believe it’s never been a cultural touchstone? (Challenge mode: Leo can’t say Venture Bros)

Derek Greenwood

What is more important in a good sandwich? Quality bread or quality ingredients (meat, veggies, ect)?

MyNameIsDan

Hey friends, What classic or critically acclaimed movie have you not seen that you feel guilty about? What has kept you from watching it? Thanks, MyNameIsDan

whitemex

Do you guys have tips for job interviews? I just had one today that I feel like I bomb but I'm probably just in my head about it though I was visibly nervous so I'm not so sure.

Bryan Tylec

Hey everyone, The older I get the more I realize that someday I'm going to die but Mario never will. And that's not fair. They're going to keep making Mario or Zelda or GTA or Final Fantasy games far into the future and I won't get to play them because I'll be dead. So here's the deal. You can pick one franchise and you can either come back as a ghost to play it every time a new game is released but you have to be ripped from heaven or whatever your afterlife of choice is and haunt some random house, scaring little kids and old ladies and such OR you can rest in peace for eternity because they never make another game from that franchise ever again, depriving the world of some of its most beloved characters.

Josh LaBaw

Gaming Tattoos. Do you have one, do you have an idea for one? wWhat's the verdict on them, overall good or bad idea?

Leo’s Immersion

Hey MinnMax, Cutter #9346-52 here! I’m in the middle of salvaging this hazard level 8 Gecko, and as I send the reactor down to the barge (thankfully without incident this time) I gaze down at the North American continent and our bastion of unbridled capitalism, and naturally, I wonder… which ocean is which level? If you had to rank all the oceans from first to last based on when they would appear as levels in a game, what is your order? Which ocean is the equivalent of green hill zone, and which is the final boss? Feel free to pepper in the seven seas if you like, but don’t you dare include any lakes! Cheers!

FishboneINK

Hey friends, Long time first time here with an important question: Why do we pluralize Emails but not mail? Why, Ben, why? Thank you all in advance for your enlightening answers.

Jordan Blayney

When eating a flavored candy like skittles, do you each the specific flavors in order or eat them randomly?

CANAS1AN

Hey Minn Maxers! Last week, Janet and Leo were talking about wanting more Local Co Op experiences. I wanted to recommend some awesome coop board games! "The Mind" is a great coop game that plays quick, is easy to teach, and is super rewarding! Plays up to 4. "Forbidden Desert" has a bit more meat on the bones but is another solid co op experience without too many moving parts. Some of the best coop games can be more complex, but I would still recommend them. "Gloomhaven: Jaws of the Lion" and "Horizons of Spirit Island" are excellent! Each pits the players against a challenging puzzle with different tools at your disposal. My wife and I enjoy playing them together to overcome the challenges thrown at us. These games are all pretty affordable and available! Be sure to stop by the board game discord channel for more coop recs if anything sparks your interest!

CrabPalace

If you could pick one franchise to play the final entry in its series, what would you pick? If you pick Mario, you might end up playing a game from one hundred years or more in the future, but it might just be another platformer. You could take a risk and try to play a new Metal Gear, but you might just end up playing Metal Gear Survive.

Joe Dean

Dairy Dairy Dairy Dairy. Now how quickly will Leo Vader deliver milk to my house? Also, chocolate milk please.

Chris Whitfeld

Hey MinnMax! How do y’all feel about the trend towards early access over the last decade? I’m sure a lot of games have gained steam that wouldn’t have been made otherwise, but I can’t help but feel like it has also resulted in a lot of new releases coming out half-cooked. Feels like publishers have been taking advantage of lower standards being set in the indie space.

Mister Donuts

hey! I've been thinking a lot about robots and I was wondering. Would Y'all ever buy a humanoid robot to help around in the house maybe just with chores or to help look after a pet or even a child or maybe even just to have as a buddy. Robot children could also become a possibility to buy and raise instead of having human children. This topic mildly terrifies me but I'd be excited to hear Y'all's thoughts on this! : )

Chandler

What's your opinion on massages? I feel like you can either find them very relaxing or deeply uncomfortable and there's not much in between.

Bob Buel

Which video game character do you think would genuinely listen to The MinnMax Show podcast?

BearCommando

Do y’all think there’s simply too many games out nowadays? Smaller studios rely on good sales to survive and grow, but with 300+ games releasing on steam per week, plus big AAA releases, and plenty of free to play games, it’s hard to earn people’s limited time. How can a smaller studio with limited budget hope to make it big when gamers are so spoiled for choice?

Tokyo Game Life

In Tears of the Kingdom, I assume the tutorial area will start in the sky and once you complete it, you can then dive down to the surface of Hyrule. My question is, will that first skydive down to Hyrule be one of the greatest video game moments ever?

ProcyonNumber6

Hey Benn and Friennds, How far into a game do you stop side questing? I usually start games with a 100% completion mindset but around the 3rd act find myself just beelining the main plot.

Mike Lynch

What is everyone's feelings on the phrase "Consuming Content"? I'm not a huge fan as I feel it de-humanizes the creative people who make the shows and music I love. It separates the person from the creation. Is there something to that or am I just worrying about nothing and everything's fine.

dvader501

Now that we have seen Sonic murdered, which developer do you think will be brave enough to murder a one of their most popular characters? More importantly, who do you WANT to see murdered?

Ryan Dodson

Hey MinnMax, I've recently gotten into retro game emulation. I love that I can play many of the old games that I grew up with but I've noticed something. Many of the games I loved in my youth are hard to play due to unintuitive controls, poor camera orientations, and blurry graphics. Are there any games that you loved in the past but now can't play it again due to its age?

Patrick Hughes

Ahoy MinnMax! Looking strictly at the 2D Mario games, we've had Super Mario Bros. 1-3, Super Mario World and then the slew of "New" Super Mario Bros. series. Listing this all out, I realized Nintendo isn't the most creative when it comes to naming the majority of these 2D entries. My question for you, if Nintendo were to release a new 2D Mario game, what would you name this next installment?

Wonder Punk

I see you guys are talking about The Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog this week. It's crazy even typing that title out and having it be a real official thing, and it's actually a big hit! My question is, what other series or characters would you like to see get this kind of official meme treatment and what would it be like?

Kaizoku Risu

My wife and I played through The Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog and were expecting a silly little April Fool’s joke but were blown away that it was a genuinely good game! What are some of your favorite April Fool’s jokes?

Derek Achoy

Would YOU murder Sonic the Hedgehog?

Adam

Hey Ben, I've noticed how casually you refer to your coworkers, whether they're in the room or not: Sarah. Leo. Kelsey. However, Jacob Geller is always "Jacob Geller". Never Jacob. So what's the deal? Do you respect him more than everyone else? Does he demand to be referred to by his full title? Also, did anyone ever have any good nicknames growing up, or ever want to be called by something else? Thanks, have a good one!

jkk411

To welcome in all the new Final Fantasy fans following MinnMax after the recent State of Play reaction, I think it's time for a little game I like to call "X-V-I, Magnum P.I., or Just Some Guy?" The rules are simple: I will list several names and you must determine whether they are a character from the upcoming Final Fantasy XVI, a character from the 80s television show Magnum P.I., or just a name I made up. Agatha Chumley (Magnum P.I.) Francis Hofstetler (Magnum P.I.) Luther Gillis (Magnum P.I.) Jonathan Higgins (Magnum P.I.) Theodore Calvin (Magnum P.I.) Thomas Magnum (Magnum P.I.) Orville Wright (Magnum P.I.) Yoshi Tanaka (Magnum P.I.) Jim Bonnick (Magnum P.I.) Clive Rosfield (FFXVI)

Luca Alberti

Hey panel(...de Pon enthusiasts)! Simple question: what's the Fuse composition you can't wait to put together in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom? Personally I can't wait to put a piece of meat on top of a large Boomerang.

Stevelution

Hey pals. On the back of some of the recent reaction stream discussion I thought this would be a fun question. What’s a really nice thing that’s happened to you this year so far?

Gene Frazier

Hey everybody, with the Mario bros movie blowing up the charts, I’m reminded of the days of old when we were privileged enough to get movie tie in games. My question is if you could pick one movie that didn’t get a tie in to receive one what would it be and what style of game? Would you do a “Forest Gump” Sports game complete with football, ping pong, track and field, and fishing? Or a “ Bridget Jones’s diary” dating sim. Or anything from a movie not made 20 years ago, the possibility’s are endless.

Viz

Hi CLC! This is the top 10 list from metacritic for games released this year: 1. Metroid Prime Remastered 2. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Complete Edition 3. Tetris Effect: Connected 4. /5./6. Resident Evil 4 Remake (different platforms). 7. Moss: Book II 8. Persona 4 Golden 9. Dead Space 10. Hi-Fi Rush That is one helluva lot of remakes. Are we entering a golden era of remakes where we'll a lot more of this?

Hey CLCs! I just booted up Ghostwire Tokyo for the first time today (thank you PS Plus Extra), and noticed that in the first level, the escalators are actually moving. It got me thinking, I don't remember too many games where the escalators actually work. They are usually broken down (like in The Last of Us). What are some games that you can think of where the escalators are working?

Hey gang, Playing a lot of old games via NSO has shown me that... not many are good, or at least don’t hold up to modern sensibilities. My belief is that the GBA/Gamecube era is the turning point where most of them still feel good to play now (shout out Kuru Kuru Kururin, thanks Ben). I didn’t grow up with them so I don’t think I've got nostalgia blindness either!! Do you think that this shows that in the past 20 years innovation has been lacking, aside from graphics, compared to the previous 20, as many early 2000s games align with 2023 sensibilities? Am I nuts?!?

Wiifit was promoted as "a way to get families to exercise together" - did it accomplish this goal after 15 years? Have you ever met someone that legitimately lost weight due to wiifit? Will RingFit have a similar trajectory?

Hey MinnMax! First of all, y'all slay so hard. So stoked to be a new member of the Patreon Crew! I've been watching the Dead Island 2 release with a ton of interest because well, zombies. Then, like some twisted clockwork, I saw that Dying Light 2 is marketing a major update just a day before Dead Island 2's release. And not like any update, but an update featuring focused on gore, physics, and dismemberment which seems to be exactly what Dead Island 2 is touting as its main attraction. It got me thinking, what are some of y'all's favorite "Competitive Moments" for competing franchises? Keep up that amazing work!

Howdy MinnMax, Aftering hearing Leo talk about Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodhunt on last week's podcast, I tried it out for myself and got my friends hooked on it too! I have been lukewarm on Battle Roayals for a couple of years now, but this has reinvigorated my love for the genre. I am sad to see the player count is so low on Steam. I want this game to flourish into something truly unique in the Battle Royale space, but what I am to do as just a player? How do you guys recommend an individual support the growth of a game? It is enough just to spend the $60 on it? Does being active in a game's discord effect the continuation of a game? Thanks!!
