What was your most memorable instance of licensed music in a game? HiFi Rush has a lot of great examples but for me personally it's the entirety of Elite Beat Agents.

Jason Wojnar

You all ever use Ebay? I have been selling almost literally everything I own and my parents owned and have been doing alright so far. Any tips or traps to avoid as a seller?

Patrick G

I can't believe Mega Man Legends 3 was announced at the Sony state of play. What other sequels are you dying to get?

Shakenbake67

Hey Minnmaxers, Tears of the Kingdom being released has put the online discourse crazy with all sorts of discussion. My question to you what was your favorite post release discourse discussion surrounding a game. My personal favorite was after the release of Metal Gear Solid 4 and seeing everyone’s reaction to the buck wild story!

Dukefazon

Question here: Which song was heard the most? Gangsta's Paradise by Coolio or Amish Paradise by Weird Al Yankovic

Hayden Williams

Hey everyone! I hope you are all well. My question for this week: Do you ever imagine scents while playing games? I feel like as I’ve been playing Zelda I smell the fields and the scents on the wind as I run across the world. Think I my back on it I swear I smelt damp caves in Dark Souls and imagine the smell of food cooking in Overcooked etc. Do you guys ever experience this and what games smell the best?

Keenan Horrell

You're talking about KeyWe! I know the developers of this game, I use to work with the majority of them. Let me know if you would like me to reach out to them. Very cool to see it get some coverage so late after release!

Gabriel Cleveland

Howdy, you smart and beautiful people! Video game baby names, yay or nay? (If nothing else, it's fun to say!) I say Yay, within reason - My friend, for instance, honors FFX with a child named Dean Auron [Lastname], and I think that's awesome! On the other hand, forthcoming baby Sephiroth Cloud Hanson might be a bridge too far. What do you think? Are there any video game names you'd give your hypothetical child? Any that would be an absolute disaster of an idea?

Stark

How would you describe the state of RTS games today? How much is the genre hurt by Blizzard’s lack of investment in Starcraft?

RickyWinterborn

are you duplicating items in TOTK? usually a special game like this I wouldn't want to cheat, but something about how massive and time consuming TOTK is has me duplicating tons of items and it doesn't feel like it's harming the joy of the game at all.

Mike Lynch

Has a video game ever challenged your way of thinking? Taught you a lesson that you utilized in the real world?

Shane C

How do you scroll on your laptop: standard or inverted controls? By which I mean, do you move your fingers down on the trackpad to scroll down, or up on the trackpad to scroll down?

Chandler

Have you ever been a toxic gamer? Either in person with friends or with strangers online, are there any moments you regret taking a game too seriously? Do you have any advice for someone who currently takes it too seriously?

TroytlePower (TPPTPPTPwTP)

Would you rather only be able to play new games and watch old TV, or watch new TV and play old games?

Phelix Diaz

I recently read an article stating that over 25% of gamers are now over 40. Do you think that in 20 years, there will be a subgenre of games for seniors? Aside from accessibility options, will games be specifically designed with this population in mind?

Kevin Kuper

Hello! I was looking through some of my older games and miss when you used to get a manual book to look at and I was wondering, did you ever use the notepad page that used to come in the game manuals?

Michael Martinez

Hello MinnMax friends, hope you all are doing well! I finished Jedi Survivor recently and have now moved onto Tears of the Kingdom. Both these games have left me thinking about a lack of closure in a lot of triple A games recently. I don't have a ton of free time so whenever I finish the main story and get thrust back into the open world, it feels like there is a massive laundry list of side quests and collectibles I'm still being begged to go after and can't escape feeling like the story isn't truly done. Not that more contained stories that end at the credits don't exist in the triple a space (Last of Us), but it feels like they're becoming the exception. Do you miss the days of smaller contained stories, or do you prefer massive sprawling epics where you never feel done? Thanks!

Catpurrnicus

Hey all, my dog loves giving kisses and when she meets new people I apologize and say "Sorry, she can't hold her licker (liquor)". Is that the greatest dog based pun?

mopies

Hey, Ben. Congrats on the news. This question is for you. Which game are you most excited to have your child experience with you?

Marc

Hey crew! I picked up Tears of the Kingdom this weekend and I’m loving it but within the first five minutes I switched the jump and dash buttons and turned the camera sensitivity to high. What setting do you tend to always change when starting a new game?

Kraven Morcome

Hey MinnMax Crew, I recently beat the original Resident Evil and, who would have thought, it's a really good game! I was a little bummed that I didn't have a place to discuss this experience since the number of people playing this old game is pretty low. Have any of you played a good game way after release and then felt like you missed the zeitgeist? Do you seek out old discussions to compare your thoughts?

Victor Pham

Have you ever been crank or prank called? What was the most memorable one you've received?

Mary Tiemeier

If you could magically create your dream “play with toys in a sandbox” game, similar to Tears of the Kingdom or Garry’s Mod, what “toys” would be in it?

SunniDee22

Salutations MinnMax crew, Playing through TotK and beating Raganork not too long ago got me thinking about how characters open up treasure chests. So, do you have a favorite way a character open up a chest? For me Kratos punching a wooden chest to open it is my favorite as it very in character and funny at the same time. Thanks!

CptCobblePot

Hey MinnMax Crew, With Ben now becoming a cool gamer dad what game and/or gaming accessory would you gift him at a Ben only baby shower to help maintain his gaming habits. (*Assume he has never played the game you recommend) I for instance would gift Stardew Valley, as it’s easy to pick up and play in short or long sessions. It also keeps you sane.

BEEFCAKE

Have you ever had a dream that you, um, you had, your, you- you could, you’ll do, you- you wants, you, you could do so, you- you’ll do, you could- you, you want, you want them to do you so much you could do anything?

Sam Kennedy

Hello all, HBO just called you and said they need you to pick a Sony game to become a gritty primetime drama. The problem is that it has to be on the PS1 and cannot be a JRPG. What are you going with? I’m thinking Jumping Flash.

Derek Achoy

Which emoji do you think packs the most meaning and emotion into its tiny graphical package?

Thom Blackburn

What a thrill... I assume. How likely is is that Konami can win back the hearts and minds of the industry over the next five years? Thanks, Thom

Andy Weas

Hey MinnMax! With everyone so deep into Tears of the Kingdom (myself included), I started to think why it's so captivating. There are a ton of reasons, but the one that stuck with me was the feeling of "Can I Do that?" As a kid, I feel like we all, at one time or another, spent a bunch of time in a game trying to see if we could do something we were sure the game would let us do. I'd love to hear any memories the cohort has like this. For example, I remember playing GTA for hours trying to get a motorcycle onto the top of the tallest building and then seeing if I could somehow jump it off the top and land it hundreds of feet below. Thanks for the amazing content! Y'all are so fun to listen to!

Davey Peppers

Hello Cohorts! As someone who's last name is very close to "Poopers" I've always liked weird name puns, so what's the silliest name pun you all have been given either in childhood or adulthood? From recent events I can think of two for Ben: Ben Ultrahan-son for Tears of the Kingdom, and Ben HanSON on accounts of his upcoming child (congrats again). Bonus points if Leo's answer isn't a Star Wars pun. Thanks for the good content, loving the TOTK Deepest Dive!

RabidLime

hello horts what's your weird food thing? like, the thing you do with a certain food that you like but everyone else seems to think is odd or gross. me, i keep crackers in the fridge. i just like the way they taste when they're cold. or, i also like to dip dill pickles in peanut butter. it's friggin' delish. this is a safe and judgement free zone, so let's celebrate how weirdo we all are. ahoy rabidlime

Brady Griffith

What game did you LOVE, but you never played the DLC that came out later. Citizen Sleeper was one of my favorite games from last year, but I haven't revisited it since the new content.

Vilis

Theatrhythm Final Bar Line has released numerous batches of DLC as promised, and is a delight. I think it will be likely they will add Final Fantasy XVI after it has been out for a year or so, but do y'all think it likely they will continually add tracks and titles in a Mario Kart 8 Deluxe style format? I mean, since the Chocobo Racer crashed and burned as an avenue for continual content.

Michael Kammeyer

Hey y'all, hope you're doing well! Do any of you take notes or keep a journal about games you play? As someone who has trouble with focusing and managing my time I've been working on keeping lists for my work, chores, and hobbies, and only recently started applying it to games that I play. I mark down goals I want to accomplish in game and cross them off as I go, or I just write down things that I achieved. So far it seems to help me stay excited about new games and give myself an extra sense of progression, especially in non-linear or sandboxy games. Do you have any other methods you use to enhance your gaming experience?

Cath

Hey y’all! So I’m replaying the last of us 1 and I spent an hour trying to fight one of the boss (bloater in the gym) and I just can’t seem to get it. My husband swoops in and get him within 3 well placed shots. Did that ever happen to you? With what game ! (Ps I got my revenge when he was stuck not knowing what to do in his game and I found out he just needed to look up)

Rikimaru

Hello all! Going out on a limb here as I am writing this pre-PS showcase. I'm assuming among all of the announcements at the show, there will be at least 1 big *weird* announcement. With the looming Xbox Showcase, what is 1 big *weird* announcement that could match the one (presumably) seen at PlayStation's? Alternatively, how can they avoid having the 1 big *weird* announcement? Should these shows have more big *weird* announcements?

Josh LaBaw

Can Sarah please tell us what that treat, ball toy was that Poggers had in the Pet Documentary. I have a rat terrier mix that needs some extra outlets. It looked perfect. Nice work to all on that it was so fun

Michael Berry

Ecco the Dolpin: Defender of the Future on PS2 elicits all the emotions for me. When I played this years ago, I experienced: joy at the opening levels swimming around being a dolphin, pure terror, as a great white surprise attacked me and caused me to yell at the top of my lungs, blood boiling rage as I spent a whole night trying to defeat the end boss while also fighting with wonky controls and camera, as well as, reverence at the beautiful hanging water levels. Ultimately, I have a net positive view on the game since it was such a ride with all of my different feelings. It felt like a true journey. Do any of you have a game that triggered such a wide range of emotions?

Ian Miller

Legit question, how do musicians not cry when performing their songs, even if they're not that emotionally charged? Anytime I sing along to a song that resonates with me I have to fight back tears, regardless of the "sadness factor." Am I alone in this? Anyone else here a crybaby king or queen?

Anna Ratliff

Hey MinnMax! I am one of the 250 people who watches Ben’s daily Instagram story on the MinnMax account and have a question about it. Every video begins with Ben saying something along the lines of “Hello Everybody! Today from MinnMax …” and the closed captioning overlayed on the video can never spell MinnMax correctly. At first, I assumed it was Ben’s Minnesotan accent that was confusing the app, but then was convinced he was doing it on purpose. This is because for a week straight MinnMax had a different spelling every day: MidMax, MimMax, MinMax (one N), etc and only once in 2 weeks has it been correct. So Ben, what’s going on with the IG account?

Brandon Hay

Leo said during The Game Awards stream that he remembers the Game Awards theme and could summon it at any point of the year. So then Leo... can you?

Joe Dean

With Disney removing a bunch of original content from Disney+ and Hulu why do so many people want streaming to be the future of games? Sure, thanks to piracy nothing is probably going to be lost, but it's gross that a company can just decide to remove content just to save a dollar.

The "double dragon" movie from 1994 takes place in the dystopian future of 2007 - This doesn't seem "canon" with the rest of the franchise - but has any live action video game movie ever complimented or expanded the universe of a game? they seem to be an adaption of a preexisting storyline, or it's in a new universe with many other changes. The 2011"captain america:super soldier" movie tie in game is close, but it does the opposite - the game expands the lore of the movie universe.

Dylan Kelly

Howdy Folks! Did you know that the kiwi bird lays eggs that are proportionally some of the largest in the world of birds? (up to 20% of the weight of the momma bird). What unique or weird animal facts do you guys have?

Virgil B

My bold prediction for the PlayStation showcase is a trailer for Like a Dragon 8. Fingers crossed! If you had to put a new job in the upcoming Like a Dragon, what would it be? Mine would be something along the lines of a pro athlete. Think of Wakka from FFX but in Like a Dragon. No one will be safe from the sheer destructive force of a professionally thrown ball.

Omega Ranking

Hey Minnmaxers, with the heavy rumours of a Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake being announced at the PlayStation showcase I wondered how good the crew would be at guessing the most re-released games of all time. Here's the list: 1.) Tetris 2.) Dragon's Lair - There has been a Dragon's Lair release in 28 different years in the last 40 years. That's an average of a release every 1 and a half years. 3.) Street Fighter 2 4.) Doom 5.) Super Mario Bros. 6.) Skyrim 7.) Resident Evil 4

Leo’s Immersion

Hey MinnMax! I just checked out Girl Talk after hearing Ben mention him, and I love it! I also wanna shout out Leo’s reccs for 3D Blast and King Cobra. What’re some of the best recommendations given to you that you’d never heard of before? (GET RECCED! secret shout out to Dan Tack)

Kees ('Case') Mulder

The last time Nintendo had to name the follow-up to a hugely succesful console that they wanted to keep the name recognition for, we ended up with the name 'Wii U'. They're now back in the same boat. What's you honest guess of how the follow-up to the switch will be called?

Philip Arledge

Do you guys have a favorite movie quote from a movie you’ve never seen? For example I’ve never seen Seven but anytime a box is mentioned I yell “What’s in the box!” and i have no idea what Sling Blade even is but if something needs gas, I say “Ain’t got no gas in it” in my graveliest voice.

Luca Alberti

How is everyone's sleep schedule going these days? I find myself going to sleep around 1AM every night ever since Zelda came out. Please keep in mind sleeping is important for your wellbeing.

Juz10

Hi Minnmax. Pretend that the Tears of the Kingdom enemies were suddenly real. Using only items you already own how many do you think you could defeat? You are able to use Fuse and Ultrahand to help yourself make weapons. How would you defeat them?
