The MinnMax crew has been infiltrated by … an evil clone of each of you! They’re completely identical and have the same mannerisms as each of you that they’re copying. What one question would you ask, or one test you would propose, to determine if you’re dealing with the REAL MinnMaxer or the nefarious doppelgänger?

Stevelution

Hey all! What has been the most rewarding and least rewarding aspect of working in the games industry?

Styster

What was the hardest choice you had to make when two games you wanted to play came out at the same time? How do you generally make you decision? Asking for a friend.

Dusty Beaman

"What are some games that have been announced and forgotten that you wish would have come out?" Jeff M said Elden Ring and to play the tape back 3 years from now & Ben promised to play it back when Elden Ring wins all the game awards for 2021. Why didn't the clip get played for 2022? Why doesn't Jeff M get more appropriate levels of shame for his insistence that Elden Ring was never coming out? Please play the clip from The MinnMax Show on 09/16/2020 near the 1:39:10 mark and discuss

Missed Joke Opportunity Last week when discussing Idle gaming stories Haley said she had a good idle story and proceeded to tell it. However, she SHOULD have said she had a great idle story and then went stone faced and silent until someone got uncomfortable and said something.

Good day to you cohorts! With the Microsoft acquisition of Activision/Blizzard finally going through, what are the chances that World of Warcraft and its expansions come to Xbox in the future? With the success of Final Fantasy 14 on consoles this seems like this is a no brainer to me. With your experience in the industry, are there any reasons you all are aware of on why this would or would not work? P.S. bring back community Fortnite! Taking down JeffM while hiding in a bush like a coward is one of my favorite gaming highlights ever. Thanks!

Mark Polley

Why do you think there hasn't been a Call of Duty movie yet? Is artistic integrity from the holders of the brand too optimistic an idea?

if 2023 is the year of farming games, what's your most memorable "farming" spot in a game? e.g. in Chrono Trigger, the Nu in the Hunting Grounds for Tech Points; sniping that Bird thing from the cliff in Elder Ring

There are so many ways to consume games nowadays, whether watching a live stream, edited video, coop, streaming it yourself, etc. **How much should this effect the consideration for a game to be on the Two-Tens or any other GOTY list?** For example, Ben has been playing a lot of Baldur's Gate 3 on stream and may have completely dismissed the game or put it down if he wasn't playing it alongside chat to help guide him. Or JeffM with Starfield etc.

Hello Ben and the Cohorts. What's your favorite unique gaming experience? Some of the interactions I've had sailing the Sea of Thieves have been unique, but I feel the opportunities afforded by games journalists have to be interesting!

BobaFets

Do the CLC’s have a strategy for tackling side quests? Do you prefer to play them as they come up or wait till you’re close to completing the main game?

Hello, MinnMax. I present you with the following situation: your pet has just spoken to you. You've said to them: "I love you", and they've responded: "I love you, too" in a low, grovely voice. Astonished, you ask how they are able to speak and they reply they don't know with that same off-putting voice. Friends and family present are equally perplexed as they've also heard it. You check for signs of a prank but there are none. Two things are now clear to you: you are not imagining this, your pet now speaks. What now?

I've recently been realizing I spend about 99% of my day taking some form of input whether it be podcasts all day, phone scrolling on breaks and games or shows in the evenings. I know this has an effect on my sleep schedule and contributes to anxiety/stress. My question is what do the cohorts do to take a break from constant barrage of distractions we are faced with today? I've started to do a little casual meditation in the mornings and walks around my neighborhood without my phone which seem to be helping.

CptCobblePot

Minnmax, What goes into picking the questions for the podcast, who decides what questions are read, is Ben the ultimate decision maker? What power do the other cohorts truly have or has Ben gone mad with power? If Ben doesn’t read this question does that already answer it? Find out on this weeks episode

I just finished Celeste and the feather breathing scene has actually been useful for me dealing with my own anxiety in real life. What are some examples of things you saw in video games positively affecting you in your real life?

Grizzled Gaming

Hey gang! It’s been a while. Ben, tell JeffM Grizzled Gaming says "hello". He'll know what it means. I was playing Fortnite the other day and got killed by Batmans Chalupa. Over the years, I’ve also run into FrodoFraggins and Netflix N Kill. Do any of you have funny/memorable gamertags or usernames you’ve run across online?

Sonny Johnson

Hello web slinging cohorts! So I’ve been replaying spider man remastered and have a bit of a weird quirk. Whenever I’m just roaming the city doing side content, I will wear whatever suit fits my fancy for the moment. However, when I am playing a main story mission or am going to a cutscene, I will always put the main suit of the game (advanced suit) back on. I also have a habit of doing this with other games that have multiple costumes/outfits. So in the words of Hanson himself…”Am I Nuts?” Love the show :)

Ajay Nath

Hi MinnMaxers, removing Ben from consideration, who is the most famous of the cohorts?

Hello Ben & Crew, With the announcement of the Lego Animal Crossing sets, I was wondering what does the crew think about this and potential for future game collaborations. There have been a few already, Horizon Zero Dawn, and Mario being big ones, but what series would you like to see get Legod? Personally, Animal Crossing is perfect for me, but I would really like to see some more creativity into the sets. It would be amazing if I could build my own town via lego! How about you all?

James from Michigan

Hey 3 dad's and a baby? A local game store is selling PlayStation 2's for $85 (controller and all cables included) and have a huge selection of games, including the first game I ever hit 100% on face first on display. Could you guys give me a game each to look out for? Yes Shadow of the Colossus

SlyCut

Hello all, One of my gaming pet peeves is when someone starts a game for the first time and immediately hits New Game instead of going into the options menu first. It baffles me! My son does this. For multiple games, I've sat to watch him play and he'd say something like, "I wish this was like this" or "this should control this way" and I'll ask him if he checked the settings menu, because it probably can be that way. He'll always check after I say something and be glad that he did because it makes the game better for him. But he still just hits New Game and will never look at options until I ask him to. Why!? Do you always look at the settings before starting a new game?

GreenMountainState

Hey All, Marvels Spider-Man 2 was always going to be the reason I bought a PS5. However, with the PS5 Slim announced I'm really tempted to hold off to get that 30% reduction in size. But, I'm sad to miss all the Spider-Man hype while waiting. Do you think for someone who doesn't own a PS5 yet, it's worth the wait for the upcoming Slim?

Palo

Quick ranking game. Step 1: Everyone name 2 different games that haven't been mentioned on the episode yet (don't tell them why). Step 2: rank them

Hello Ben et al.! I love rock climbing in real life: it’s a fun challenge of problem solving and strength. On the other hand, I hate climbing in video games. It usually consists of “hold up and press jump sometimes while you wait for your character to slowly inch up a wall that could’ve been a ladder.” What are some things you enjoy doing in real life but can’t stand doing in video games?

notweirder

Hey Minnmax, important question. I recently found a cool hat I want to pick up, but I realized I already have four that I own and enjoy wearing, which brings me to my question: How many hats it too many hats? Where do we draw the line? Does a beanie count in the same collection as a baseball cap? Someone save me!

Zeth Hillman-Johnson

Do you have any little personal touches or signature things you do in text communication? I use this symbol: “^” pretty often to point to the previous message, and I don’t see others do it much.

Kraven Morcome

Hey MinnMax, I'm currently starting to potty train my son and we watched a cartoon together showing the process. The steps in order were: 1. Use the toilet 2. Wash your hands 3. Flush the toilet 4. Pull up your pants. This is psychotic behavior right? Does anyone wash their hands before flushing? Or leave their pants down until the end?

BEEFCAKE

You can eat everything you want for free without any negative health effects BUT the only way you can use the bathroom is hanging upside down like a bat and EVERYONE knows you do that. Do you do it?

Hi, My 4 year old daughter wants to be Hornet from Hollow Knight for Halloween. My wife and I are supportive of this, but expect none of her friends, pre-school teachers, or other family members to know what her costume is. Have you ever picked a Halloween costume that just didn’t land or was too niche for your friends and family?

Limp Bizquick

Howdy cohort! What did you guys get up to last weekend?

gybones

How do you want your funeral to be? Any certain songs, venue(?), or anything you envision having specifically?

My dog gets turkey or beef flavored tooth paste. My kids get bubble gum and chocolate flavored tooth paste. I get some marketing word variety of "mint". Why don't adults get fun flavored tooth paste? Any flavors you folks would like? Personally I'd go for cheddar bay biscuit flavored.

Conner McCabe

Hi Ben, Kyle, Jeffm, and Jacob. This question is for you and anyone else who hears it. In honor of both Spider-Man 2 and Super Mario Wonder releasing on the same day, what’s the most memorable double feature you’ve ever had? Whether it be eating back to back meals, seeing two movies in a day, or two big life experiences (see Joey Gallo throwing a no hitter then taking Greg maddux’s daughter to prom), let’s hear yours. As a kid I remember going to see “The Time Machine” starring Guy Pearce with my family on a Sunday afternoon and we were so bummed out afterwards that on a whim we decided to stay and see a little movie called “The Fellowship of the Ring” that was getting a lot of buzz.

Mike Lynch

-Which do you prefer: the games you loved as a kid, or modern games that have elements of those ones you grew up with? (Kyle and modern games that utilize the Mega Man X dash come to mind)

Sam Kennedy

Hello everyone, Have you ever experienced the Tetris Effect—that is, playing a game so much you see it everywhere in real life and perhaps even when you close your eyes? I thought the Tetris Effect was a joke, but then I played so much finity last month that I would start to see the blocks move around whenever I closed my eyes. Needless to say I am no longer playing finity.

Kevin Kuper

Hello, Have you ever played a game so much that it started to bleed into your real life? When GTA 5 came out I was obsessed and while at a red light I saw a police officer and had a rush of anxiety that I was going to get a wanted level. Thanks!

Christian Jimenez

Hello, In the past three months we've had the release of: Blasphemous 2 (Spanish Developers) Starfield (American Developers) Lies of P (Korean Developers) Re4 DLC (Japanese Developers) Cyberpunk DLC (Polish Developers) Assasin's Creed Mirage (French Developers) Lords of the Fallen (Remote Work Multicultural Developers) Is this the best stretch of video developer diversity we've ever had with major games?

Stark

Are there still rivalries between game franchises? This week sees the release of new Mario and sonic platformers, but the two don’t really feel like they are in competition anymore. Mario vs sonic, Call of Duty vs Battlefield, etc all came and went. What are our modern rivalries?

Chandler

What's the worst food to put cheese on?

Brian Ventura

Some of my favorite games have incredibly satisfying movement, like in Spider-Man. What are some of your favorite games regarding movement/traversal? And would you count vehicles as a part of good "movement" in games?

Hey MinnMax, in honor of both Spider-Man 2 and that surprisingly good RoboCop game demo releasing recently, I've been thinking a lot about licensed games. We're so far away from the era when every sufficiently big movie or TV show seemed to get a video game by default. From the early avalanche of Marvel games in the 90's, all the way to Telltales big star cameo filled Game of Thrones mini series, but I keep thinking about what some of the newer things coming out would look like as those AA games they seemed to always be. Would the tragically misguided Oppenhheimer game have been a stealth focused action game marketed as "filling in the gap" as to how they got the uranium? Is there any big show, movie, or other piece of media you'd love to see have one of these video game tie ins in the modern era? If so which one, and what type of game would you have liked it to be? The more specific the better.

Rikimaru

Hey, MinnMax! What video game would make the best candy?

Luca Alberti

Hey panel, simple question, when was the last time your personal GOTY was a 2D game?

LlorchDurden

This week 6.5 years ago Metroid Prime 4 got announced for the Switch (10/16th) and we've not heard anything about it. Some people predict it's a 2024 game, some people push it up to a Switch 2. Any BOLD 2024 predictions? Like stuff that's gonna shake the whole gaming community and today we're unaware of? (BG3 style?) On my end: - No Switch 2 in 2024. - E3 announces it'll be back in 2025 BIG with Nintendo on stage and all! - Valve announces Steam Deck 2. - Sony buys EA.

Imagine washing your hands in a public restroom. The only method of drying your hands is a fan hand dryer. Do you use the hand dryer or do you let them dry by themselves?

A little bit over a year ago, I submitted a comment in the spirit of BetterQuest about my weight loss (50 lbs), and since then I've doubled it to 100lbs total! I am pretty proud of myself, but I have a related question. How do you not make your most recent accomplishment your entire personality? Thanks to the minnmax/betterquest community for being part of my inspiration!

ProcyonNumber6

Hey Benn and Friennds, How do you say the number 1,500? One-thousand Five Hundred? Or Fifteen Hundred?

Connor

Hey gang! I just wrapped up Lies of P the other day, and I need to get something off my chest. This game has undoubtedly become my game of the year. Yes, I played Tears of the Kingdom. Yes, I played Starfield. No other game this year has been able to capture my attention the way Lies of P did. My love for Pinocchio Souls has me wondering: Which out of left field games are you currently championing for game of the year? Or have you ever been a big defender of lesser talked about games from past years? Also, I haven't heard anybody talk about the ending of Lie of P and what they hint at for either DLC or their next title. It's wild.

Tom Rickard

Hey cohorts! With Alan Wake 2 coming out next week, it has been making me feel super nostalgic. Growing up I never had a Xbox 360 so I missed out on playing the original Alan Wake. But at the time of its release I was obsessed with the game and the lore of it due to the mass market paperback of Alan Wake written by Rick Burroughs. Never even played the game until 2020 even though I loved the world. Were any of you into the video game paperback adaptation craze of the mid 2000’s and if so, were there any other good ones? I’m partial to Alan Wake obviously and Dead Space: Martyr. Can’t wait for the Deepest Dive!

Bob Buel

If you suddenly gained the ability to fire a Kamehameha energy beam, when would you actually be able to use it in your real life?

RabidLime

there are too many good games! what are some coping skills for the dreaded and inevitable FOMO?

CANAS1AN

on the quest subreddit, there have already been posts about people using their quest 3 headsets with full color passthrough while ordering coffee or pooping etc. whats one thing you would want to try with a quest 3 in public?

Tanner Hoisington

Since both come out on Friday, I have to know if Kyle is going to listen to the new Blink-182 album while playing Super Mario Wonder. I got to see them in Berlin last month and they sounded great, as do most of the new singles!

Michael Gibler

What are y'alls experiences with RuneScape? I remember a few months back Sarah mentioned that she was into RuneScape, and anecdotally I know a lot of people around my age (29) were and/or are really into the game. Did you guys miss the boat on RuneScape? What are your experiences with it? I think its unique in the MMO world in that it has a quite sizable free component, and the other standout feature is that the quests are actually bespoke, RPG-ish stories. They aren't your typical MMO slog of "Kill 10 Things" or whatever. I got back into the Old School RuneScape (OSRS) game late last year and have been using it as my go to stationary bike game, as it has a surprisingly fantastic mobile version. OSRS is even still getting new quests, and recently was announced to be getting an entire new skill next year. Thank you all for what you do, you're fantastic! Michael from Iowa

Patrick Hughes

Ahoy good folks of MinnMax! In honor of the upcoming release of Super Mario Bros. Wonder, what's your favorite power-up in the 2D mainline Mario universe? And if you could obtain one of these power-ups in real life, which would you choose and why?

Devin Atlee-Nutts

Since you were wondering last week why video game characters will berate you every 8 seconds if you remain idle: it's specifically for my dad. He doesn't quite recognise the way triple-A games seamlessly transition between cutscenes and gameplay, so he's often fully reclined with the controller resting beside him when he's supposed to take control. Countless times I have seen poor Nathan Drake stand completely still while being riddled with bullets or the platform he's standing on collapses around him, followed by my dad asking "oh, was that me?". If Drake shouted "Hey, get me out of here!" directly at the screen, maybe he would've survived until the next cutscene. Cheers, Tom

Michael Berry

I wish vr allowed you to revisit more places that no longer exist. For instance, there was a local water park called 'The Beach'. It is now forever closed, but I would absolutely love a VR experience or tour. Virtual tourism seems like a fun angle that I do not think has been properly done. If legal issues were not a concern, what nostalgic place would you think make a fun VR experience to revisit?

Conner Withey

Heya Minnmax. If you could befriend only one person with the name of a fruit which fruit named person would you choose? Don't say Peach or Cherry.

Victor Pham

Should Spider-Man be able to shoot webs from his butt?

BechamelTest

Greetings Huminns, Watching the NoClip doc on the Burger King games made me realize how much I love a good media hoard. Watching that man wallow in his copies of Sneak King like Smaug gave me the same dopamine drip as learning about the guys that collect Jerry Maguire's and that stash of ET games in the desert. That said, my question is this: what game would you most like to visit as a hoard? Something sleek and stackable like the Halo 2 collector's edition? Or something nice and colorful with good auxiliary merch like Pokemon snap?

Travis in Fargo

What’s the best video game-themed Halloween costume you can come up with using only common household items (like aluminum foil, paper towels, etc.)?

Travis in Fargo

What Halloween candies are so bad, you’d rather throw them away than eat them?

Cody Allison

Hey Minnmax, if this panel here today were a superhero squad who could pilot vehicles and combine to make a Voltron-type super mech what would your individual machines be, and who would control which parts of the mech?

Jared Piers

Hey Minnmax, What do you think Mario thinks about when he is running around doing his jumps. Is he focused on the goal or does his mind wander?

Pablo Castillo

Hey Crew, Are there some games in a genre you love but other games in that same genre you hate? Like I really enjoy turn- based rpgs. I mean i really like turn-based rpgs. I love old school turn based stuff like ff7, chrono trigger, chrono cross ( don't get me started on chrono cross), and I also really like newer iterations on that formula like Yakuza: Like a Dragon and Southpark Stick of Truth. But other games like Midnight Suns and Baulder's Gate 3 just don't click with me. Also any idea why they don't click with me? Also my name is Ben...

Cory S

Is Amazon Luna the biggest secret in cloud gaming right now? I stumbled on it one day as someone who already had a Prime account, so every month I can play 4 free/included games such as Resident Evil 2 remake, Devil May Cry 5, Yakuza games, and Metal slug. The performance has been flawless (granted, I do have fiber internet) and it's a special bonus to me as a Mac user. Does anyone else use this service? I don't feel like I hear about it at all.

Stoopkid90

Hey Minnmax! I recently got a little promotion at work and despite being at my job for 5 years I was having major imposter syndrome. When was the last time you had imposter syndrome and what did you do to help yourself through it?

Catpurrnicus

Hello Best Friends, would you rather be an astronaut or an olympian?

David Dubs

Hey Ben, remember that time on the G.I. show where you had everyone make kissy noises? Don’t know why, but I randomly think and laugh about that moment to this day. Not really a question, but boy was that weird.

Liz Phillips

Hi everyone, I’d like to know, do any of you get video game fatigue where you just can’t motivate yourself to pick up a game and play and does it effect how you do your jobs?

Aging_Poorly

Hi team - Apologies for the long question, but this could change MinnMax forever. The “On a scale of 1 to 10” method of scoring things is terrible, as it doesn’t account for indifference. I propose a new MinnMax scale: “Negative Ten to Ten”. (or “the Other Two Tens”) (??) A “negative 9” would be strong negative score; a “9” would be a strong positive score. A “negative 1” would be negative, but mostly represent indifference. A “zero” is reserved for things that don’t leave any impact at all… things that you forget about 10 minutes after experiencing them. For example, raw carrots are fine, but no one loves them. So they’re like a 2 or a 3. Cooked carrots, on the other hand, are a garbage food, earning a “negative 7”. Or consider Michael Bay’s “Armageddon” or James Cameron’s “Avatar”. Some might call those movies a “nine”; others a “negative nine” – but almost no one would categorize either as a “zero”. Pixar’s “Brave” is a zero. When’s the last time you heard someone mention it, and did anyone ever have strong feelings about it? My only real question is “how great is this scale and why doesn’t everyone use it for everything?!”. As it applies to video games: “what is the ‘Armageddon’ or ‘Avatar’ of video games? A game in which everyone is on one side of the Negative Ten to Ten scale, but no one is indifferent? And where do you sit? Or … what’s a AAA game that is like Pixar’s “Brave”? A game where everyone seemed to play when it came out, but it landed as a “zero” in the public consciousness. Bonus points if you’re *upset* that it’s seen as a “zero” (because you think it’s either a Ten or a Negative Ten)?

Steven Nelson

Hello MinnMax, got a BetterQuest goal here. November is National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo), and I've participated a few years now but never reached the 50,000 word goal. The furthest I've gotten was 20,809, so my goal is to reach 21,000 at least this year. Baby steps, ya know. Love the show, keep up the great work y'all.

Christopher Reardon

Hiho cohorts, Hey, the other day I found myself driving behind a car with the vanity license plate "SEGA". Mere hours later I found myself behind a car with the vanity license plate "DOOM". This raised a lot of questions, the most important of which is: what would your video game vanity license plate be?

Devin Atlee-Nutts

Hey crew, When you were growing up, did you have an image of virtual reality that most sci-fi led us to believe: that it would be a completely otherworldly experience that transports you to a new dimension where seemingly anything is possible? By the time I tried a VR headset for the first time (the HTC Vive) after hearing about development and seeing demonstrations of real-world technology, my main thought was "huh, it actually works. Neat!" but it wasn't at all the transcendent experience that I once imagined. I was very aware I was standing in a room with a screen strapped to my face rather than in the Aperture Science labs messing with all the gizmos and doo-dads. Did you have a moment of other-worldly wonder when you first tried VR? Do you think that people trying it for the first time nowadays with no prior experience might have a bigger reaction or do you think it will never quite live up to what we'd imagined without feeling a tactile presence in the virtual world?

Knobby Buckles (Dave)

Ahoy Ben, Kyle, JeffM, and Jacob! With Super Mario Wonder reigniting the discourse around 2-D Mario games (and 2-D games in general), I was thinking about Nintendo’s major franchises with both 2-D and 3-D entries, specifically Mario, Zelda, and Metroid, and whether the 2-D or 3-D entries are better. Which do you prefer in each franchise, and why? Please keep your answers to less than two pages, double spaced, 12-point Arial font, with 1-inch margins. As a bonus, if you’re down for it, I did some quick using the GameRankings and Metacritic scores listed on the Wikipedia pages and took the highest ranking for each entry (including re-releases) listed so we could “scientifically” determine whether 2-D or 3-D wins for each franchise. Feel free to guess along the way! Mario: 2-D: Mean 87.67 Median 88.50 Minn 78.00 New Super Mario Bros. 2 Max 97.00 Tie, Super Mario Bros. 3 and New Super Mario Bros. Wii 3-D: Mean 94.57 Median 96.00 Minn 90.00 Super Mario 3D Land Max 97.00 3-Way Tie: Super Mario Galaxy, Super Mario Galaxy 2, and Super Mario Odyssey Zelda: 2-D: Mean 87.45 Median 90.00 Minn 73.00 Tri Force Heroes Max 95.00 Tie: A Link to the Past and Four Swords (really?) 3-D: Mean 95.25 Median 96.00 Minn 90.00 Phantom Hourglass Max 99.00 Ocarina of Time Metroid: 2-D: Mean 88.67 Median 89.00 Minn 79.00 Metroid II: Return of Samus Max 96.00 Super Metroid 3-D: Mean 86.11 Median 90.00 Minn 65.00 Metroid Prime: Federation Force Max 97.00 Metroid Prime 3-D entries score higher on average for Zelda and Mario, but 2-D entries scored better on average for Metroid. Makes sense to me! Love you all equally, and thanks for accepting my money in return for your friendship! Dave aka Knobby Buckles

I recently learned about the Kensington Runestone, a stone covered in Scandinavian writing that was discovered in Minnesota. It was touted as proof that Vikings visited the region, but now most consider it to be a hoax. My question is, what other things is Minnesota lying about?

Joe Garifo

What’s shakin’ Benny and the boys? On Party Chat Ben made it clear that being a supporter on Patreon doesn’t mean we’re friends, but what if MinnMax offered a best friend tier? What are some best friend activities you think could be offered? Birthday calls? Listening to work gossip? LAN parties? Patron and not friend, Joe

Clayton Myers

Last weekend, while running through the streets of Neon in Starfield, I heard a particular series of yells, chatter and laughter that I instantly recognized as being the same crowd noise that gets looped in the original Rollercoaster Tycoon. Are there any game sounds you’ve heard reused in multiple games and do you think it’s neat or a little immersion breaking?

b_wood

What is the best video game intro? I am talking about the music or video that would play before the game's title screen appeared. I do not think games do it anymore.

Andy Dwyer

With fall here and temperatures dropping do you prefer keeping your place a little warmer or putting on another layer?

Duderado

How did pepperoni become the go-to meat option for pizza? How often do you eat pepperoni when it's not on a pizza? Am I crazy or should something like chicken or sausage make more sense as the default topping?

disasterlaster

In honor of Spider-Man 2's open-world NYC, what would be the niche object from your hometown that would be collectible if it was the setting for an open-world game? Atlanta would definitely be club promo flyers.

Andrew Burnes

Is 2023 the greatest video game year of all time and, if not, what is and how close does 2023 come to it?

Graham Jones

How do the improvements in gameplay, story and mechanics compare from the first second games between the god of war and spiderman franchises? I'm short, which sequel makes the better jump in quality from game one to game two?

CrabPalace

One Christmas morning as a kid, I was very excited to get Spiderman 2: Enter Electro on Ps1. But after a couple of hours of playing, I realised I was speeding through the game. I was filled with a sense of dread as I realised I had got good enough at games that they would no longer take me months and months to get through, and that this experience I had been waiting for would come to an end, and that happiness is fleeting. To this day I sometimes worry that I'm going to finish a game too quickly, especially when there's been years of hype. Have you ever experienced this?

Ryan M

Hi MinnMax crew. In honor of Spider-Man 2, if you had to wear one superhero's outfit every day, which one would it be and why? (You have multiple sets of the same outfit and they're cleaned between wearings, so you don't have to worry about wearing a dirty outfit).

While shopping for videogame costumes for Halloween, I noticed a disportanatly large number of sexy videogame character costumes. Sexy Mario, Sexy Master Chief, Sexy Sonic. So my question for you is can you think of a popular videogame character that doesn't have a sexy costume for it? FYI I got a Ash Ketchem costume (non sexy version)

My friends and I made our personal top 10 games of all time on topsters. Every single one had halo 3 in it. After we talk we all agreed that Halo had never reached those highs again, and has gotten worse. Is there any other gaming franchise, or franchise in general that has fallen this hard out of grace? Thanks for reading this question, Keep on keeping on!

When I was a kid, I played a 2D side scroller that the main character, a kid, obtained different powers throughout the story (sort of megaman-esque). I’ve scavenged through megaman clones from the 8 and 16-bit era and been trying to find out the name of that game for my entire adult life and never could, to the point I’m questioning if that was even real. So question is, do you all have a game like that that apparently only exists in your memory?

I think Final Fantasy 10-2 has the 2nd best soundtrack of the series (only behind FF14). Any strong opinions on games that have gotten you into heated debates before?
