I'm loving Sonic Dream Team's gameplay! The music and story is absolutely forgettable unfortunately. Why does it seem like we can only get one of the three at a time (Superstars - Music, Frontiers - Story; Dream Team - Gameplay) and do you have any hope of all three colliding on one Sonic game ever again? Also, isn't it unfortunate the strongest gameplay was pushed out to mobile, what gives!

Technology can be super awesome, but I also have a problem with constantly wanting the next new shiny thing even when what I already have works perfectly fine. The PS5 slim and the Steam Deck OLED coming out last month are the latest examples. I already have a PS5 and Steam Deck, so I'm really trying to convince myself that I don't need these new iterations of those. What factors do you all consider when new tech comes out? Will you buy something even when the old thing is fine, or do you stick with your older tech until there's an issue and it needs replacing?

Hey MinnMax, I know everyone is crunching to play games for the two tens, but can I suggest that someone from the company play "The Light in The Darkness" so that it can at least get a mention. It has minimal gameplay and is only an hour long, but it is a free educational experience about the holocaust. I was disappointed to see it didn't get a nomination at TGA for game for impact. With nearly 1 in 10 Americans believing the Holocaust is a myth, I think it is important to continue to get information out there. Thanks and keep up the great shows!

Hello all, Last week when discussing The Game Awards, Kelsey was talking about Christopher Judge saying Infinity Ward was another company he would never work for. She said he basically was saying "screw those guys, I'll never work for them." I took it as him saying that since he made them the butt of his joke they would never be hiring him for anything. Funny how things can be taken in completely opposite ways. How do you think he meant it?

When I was a kid my grandparents got me this iSpy Haunted House game that scared the crap out of me and my brother so much we instantly started bawling. Hey MinnMaxxers (and super-special guest!), I'm glad Janet and Sarah are on the pod together, this one is mainly for y'all: Which games have the best or unexpectedly deep fashion gameplay, and what features are important for a good implementation? Lots of item slots (hands, torso, outerwear, etc)? Saving multiple custom outfits? Outlandish styles? Set bonuses? Transmogrifying stats? Multiple colour variations? A shirt tuck toggle / jacket open toggle? Stragely, I think I had the most fun with Sunset Overdrive's fashion. It had a great mix of very contrasting styles to mix and match but still fit within the goofy punk aesthetic. PS: I hope we all agree that locking fashion gameplay behind new game plus is a crime (looking at you, HiFi Rush...). Cheers, Tom

Rate My TGA Solutions A lot of criticism for The Game Awards this year. Not many solutions with an appreciation of the cost or what drives the majority of the audience. Here are some solutions. You rate them by calling it a Please Wrap It Up (bad), a Peele and Kojima Experience (OK), or a FF7 Rebirth Live Performance (the mayor is THE BEST 😉). To reduce the need for ads: A TGA Patreon that gives you exclusive content including (but not limited to) backstage and behind the scenes content of all of Geoff Keighly's events. To reduce cost/ads: Use a smaller venue. This means fewer content creators and journalists could attend. To reduce cost/ads: Do everything remotely. It would look something like 2020 TGA. To save more time for the winners: Cut all on stage interviews or allow either a trailer or an interview but not both. To save more time for the winners: Keep most award presenters to 1 minute. Also, cut some of the special presenters or cut some of the bits before an award presentation. The Muppets bit may get the axe. To be more considerate: Have the timekeeper go through sensitivity training so they know to allow a little more leeway when someone is mentioning a lost colleague, friend, or loved one.

Similar to IO's announcement of their 007 game now in development, Arkane's Blade reveal also seems like a perfect match of IP and developer which got me hoping of other future dream team collaborations. My personal top wish is for Kaizen Game Works, creators of 2020's excellent detective game Paradise Killer, to make a noir video game version of John Constantine that I've always wanted. Are there plans to do a followup to Alan Wake 2 with the new game plus? The ending specifically is new and worth checking out on YouTube, I dont think its worth playing the whole game again and I find that annoying to do for just a new ending. I think it would garner good discussion and I want to hear more thoughts on it.
