Happy New Year! Any interesting traditions you have to ring in another trip around the sun?

JTDenton

Starfield was my favorite game of 2023. What's the most widely disliked piece of media *you've* ever loved?

Ben Shively

I just beat Red Dead Redemption II a few days ago, and it’s one of the best games I’ve played in my life. If it came out in 2023, where would it have ended up on peoples game of the year lists?

Adam Castellanos

What would your persona social link perks be and what would someone have to do to increase your social link level. Thank you.

HLarge4

Now that we have the definitive best video games of 2023, what are your thoughts on board games, new or old, in 2023?

Steve Bellegarde

I am pretty sure that no one has been motioned captured and model ed with their own face more than Debra Wilson. She is in both Jedi games, Suicide Squad, COD and Wolfenstein with her own face. Do you think having actors modeled in game as themselves adds anything? Or is it distracting to you?

Caleb Giovannelli

Background music in video games is kind of weird, yeah? It got me thinking, what would your preferred background music be in real life? Would it vary based on different locations? Answers can be any kind of music, though it would be cool to see the correlations between video game music and real life.

Punk Wizard Ministries

Is this the year we will see Mario with a full beard? If not now then when?

Sam Worms

What’s a game show you think you could be on and actually win?

David (Lumpy Larper) G

Does it seem like some of the old magic is gone in open world Zelda? I feel like a lot of the fun puzzles, dungeons, and story/lore stuff just isn't the same. But there's also a new kind of magic that comes with the open world and abilities of the new games that's not there in traditional games. I don't know how I feel, I wish both kinds of games could continue to be made.

Zane Dukes

How do we prevent gaming communities from doing awful things like what happened to the MJ actress from Spider-Man?

excess_oddities

Happy New Year! Did anyone get to work on their backlog for the break? I went back to the new Tomb Raider trilogy since I never finished them and have been having a blast

Joshua

Hi Everyone, Is there anything FFXIV could do to get you Sarah level into it?

Victor Pham

Is innovation more important than execution? Games like Spider-Man 2 and Resident Evil 4 execute their design philosophies really well, but don't seem to get their flowers as much as stuff like Alan Wake 2 or Baldur's Gate 3.

SlyCut

Hello all, This may be more suited for Party Chat, but why do you do twitter (X) polls instead of YouTube polls? Isn't your audience bigger on YouTube?

Sebastian Apolinario

I've been seeing many gifs of Leo dancing lately and I gotta say he has some good moves. Leo, do you think you would be a salsa dancer if you were born in Latin America? What hobby or special taste you all think you would have if you weren't born in the US?

PoorAndCurly

Hey gang, I have a new BetterQuest goal/new years resolution! I got a handheld planner and for every single day of the year I am writing a short sentence about something that happened that day. Maybe I spent time with a friend, or made a good meal. Could be anything but I'm hoping it helps with making each day mean something. My only caveat is if I write something negative, like a tough work day, I have to add something positive or a gratitude statement. Do you all have any new BetterQuest goals?

Graham Jones

Hey Maxxers, With the two tens discussion, It was brought up that the spiderman franchise will be remembered as a series and not individual games. I feel that this situation is similar to the Arkham series. Which had me thinking, what do you think is the defining game of the Arkham series. Also, how do you think the legacy of spiderman and Arkham will match up with one another?

VMEArcana (Very Much Earthed Arcana)

I’ve been replaying Arkham Knight, a game that is completely outshined by its own DLC. With my many gripes the story and mechanics of the main game, I keep coming back to relive amazing side missions and cool costumes. Have any of you liked the DLC of a game without liking the main game too much? Do you think additional content could never be held in higher regard than the game itself?

Chalkfullof

How do you find time for forever games? Listening to the end of year discussion I now really want to check out hitman freelancer mode but I have such a hard time finding space between the other games I’m playing where I have a clear start and end and can put them out of my mind once they’re finished. Fix me please

CaffeineDad

Hey gang! What are some games you like a lot that your friends just don’t get? I loved PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale and Battleborn (unironically I swear!), and most recently this is happening with The Finals.

Cody Allison

Here's a hypothetical. When you die your soul can be transferred to any animal. You live as that animal but have all the consciousness of the person you are today. What animal do you become?

Limp Bizquick

Had a real rough go of it lately. What are some pieces of media or other activities that reliably cheer you up?

Henry Chandler

I played the new WarioWare over the weekend, a game that requires you to wear the joycon straps. Do you think anyone at Nintendo has playtested trying to get a glass of water while wearing the joycons with straps? I can't recommend it.

Andrea

I can't remember if I've already asked this: What games and TV shows are you all most looking forward to in 2024? Mine are FFVII:Rebirth and Arcane Season 2

RynaGoGo

Howdy Hortz! Why are people in shows, movies, games, etc. making deals with the devil? I mean, yeah you get a million dollars or Silksong is finally released. But it’s the devil! He’s going to really screw you on the deal. Would you make a deal with the Devil?!?!

Brian Ventura

How do you know when to call someone a coward? It can be a lighthearted and fun insult to go for, but it can really sting if you're not careful. For example: is JeffM a coward for not finishing Red Dead II? And how do we all feel about clucking like a chicken to really drive home the point? How many people clucking is too many?

Mulligan

No question, just belatedly wanted to say that the two tens was once again some of my favorite media of the year, up against other podcasts as well as games/movies/tv. Ben realising it’s the debate people want more than the list itself is absolutely spot on. Looking forward to MinnMax in 2024.

thewholehamdamily

After playing for a while and experiencing a lot of natural discoveries, I've decided in my own head canon that Link has Google searching installed on his fancy tablet. I did to help myself get through the game and see the things I want to see faster as I have a massive backlog of games to get through, but I set out intending not to look up anything. Have you ever had your own self-imposed rules for games that you have eventually broken? What was your justification for doing so?

Christian F.

Hi, Computer Loving Coven! What is your biggest gaming pet peeve that isn't JeffM calling game mechanics "mechanisms"?

Luca Alberti

Hello hello minnMax crew. Do you think Ubisoft is ahead of the curve with Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown? It seems they are the first big name publisher releasing a 2D Metroidvania excluding Nintendo (becuase, you know, they own Metroid) and as budgets baloon I think Publishers will have to dabble more and more with these kind of AA productions.

Dunder

Hey Ben and the CLCs, Do you play video games when you go on vacation? Maybe pack up a console or bring your Switch or Steam Deck and play during some down time? Is there a certain kind of game that would be considered a “vacation game”? My wife and I have a Hawaiian vacation coming up and I’m looking forward to playing Dave the Diver on the beach.

Tom Rickard

Hey Minnmax! In celebration of the holiday season, I have a gift related question for you all. I feel like the universal thing with gift giving is when relatives associate you with one specific property you liked one year and you now get that one theme every year as a gift until you die. For me, it was when I was an emo 12 year old who loved Nightmare Before Christmas and now I could build a home with the Nightmare themed home gifts I get as an almost 30 year old. What is your gift theme curse??

HoneyBoy

What will be the first good game of January? my money is on the last of us part 2. Maybe this should be a private dm but hypothetically can we have like a game of the month? like the last podcast episode of the month. have Sarah announce that persona 3 remake is game of the month etc. thanks keep up the maxx work!

Patrick G

Hello all, what is everyone's Game of the year not from 2023? A game you played not released in 2023. I played inscryption in November and that was a 10/10 for me

Jerrod Quick

Congratulations to Masahiro Sakurai who has mentioned he is planning on wrapping up his YouTube endeavour sometime this year. Who would you be interested in seeing the same type of content from? Wisdom developed and honed over many years distilled down into bite sized videos? Personally, I would love to see stuff like this from any type of master in their craft, such as animators to electricians.

Nate Voris

Hey Minnmax crew! The new FFXIV expansion announcement got me wondering: when (or if) they one day over a decade from now make a new FF MMO, will Sarah move on to it or will she be a diehard and stick with XIV the way people have stuck with IX and other old MMOs?

Nick from Atlanta

Hello Cohorts! As we move into 2024, I wanted to look back. What's your most recent personal GOTY that you've replayed and beat since the first time? If it's been too long, you can remove the "and beat" requirement. Thanks, Nick from Atlanta

Chandler

What are you looking forward to in 2024? Traveling? Marriage? Buying a trampoline?

Kelso

Hey Gang! Important holiday question: What’s your favorite thing to get in a holiday stocking? Any favorite treats or random stocking-sized gifts you’ve gotten over the years?

Josh Johnson

I'd like to play a bit of a though experiment with the 2023 top 3. For each of the top 3, would they have been GOTY in 2020, 2021, and 2022? Between baldurs gate, totk, and hitman, would they top the charts, and if not, where would they slot in the last 3 years. 2022 1. Elden Ring 2. God of War Ragnarök 3. Xenoblade Chronicles 3 2021 1. Chicory: A Colorful Tale 2. Returnal 3. Deathloop 2020 1. Final Fantasy VII Remake 2. Kentucky Route Zero 3. Hades

SuperThisWay

Hey MinnMaxers! I just played Venba and really enjoyed it. My question is what dish would you want to learn how to cook?

One One

Exercise game (including VR) for the new year? Or game to play while exercising? Dome keeper has been great to exercise to.

Ian Switaj

Howdy MinnMax! I hope your time off found you well and everyone is well rested and ready to tackle the new year. This year I've decided to tackle my gaming backlog and the first step in that process is to get a lay of the land of what I own, played, and am looking forward to. How do each of you go about tracking your backlog, if at all? Any particular tools or platforms that you use? When tracking a game's played and own status, do you treat a game vs. "a game that's part of a collection of games differently"? For example, Ocarina of Time (N64 or 3DS) vs. The Legend of Zelda: Collector's Edition (Gamecube) or MGS2 vs. MGS: The Legacy Collection (PS3).

Stevelution

What would you like to see from the gaming audience in 2024?

MadSwell

Hello MinnMax! If given the opportunity to re-record the voiceover for a game character, which character do you believe you could bring a unique and exceptional performance to, and why? Additionally, could you provide an example of how you would deliver the lines for that character?

Xrochemanx

It feels like the triple A gaming space is at a crossroads. Budgets are ballooning and layoffs are seemingly more frequent than ever. How do you think the space shifts to stabilize itself if at all? Do we see more mid budget games? More expensive games?

Xrochemanx

If you could revive any of the non gta/rdr rockstar properties what would it be? I miss those smaller more creative projects like bully and la noir.

Ronmar the Only

Question: Was CyberPunk 2077 ever discussed as one of the best games of 2023? I have not had the opportunity to listen to all the podcasts but recall that Hanson discussing at various times over the years how he would not be surprised to see it percolate back into the discussion.

Erin T.

Howdy CLCs! What do you think the remake landscape looks like over the next 20 years? Will we see something like a Sea of Stars remake similar to Super Mario RPG, or a from-the-ground-up remake of Horizon Zero Dawn? With the sheer number of amazing games coming out in recent years, what do you think will constitute a real “classic,” worthy of being remade?

RickyWinterborn

if leo was a genie and could grant you one free remake/remaster of a game what would it be? and would it just update the presentation or change elements of the game? mine would be a donkey country trilogy remaster, no touchy just crispy HD version of the old games vibe.

LlorchDurden

off topic as always! 2024 Predictions time! Will we see Metroid Prime 2 silent release this year since it's been 20 years since its original release? I'd say yes Will Nintendo remember Prime 4? Maybe? (I know it's a hard no) Any more predictions?

Michael Berry

How do people that compete in the luge actually get their start. Is there a typical path one takes to ride in a sled on a competitive level? Anyways, is there a hyper niche job that you would love to know more about?

Kaizoku Risu

Is it weird to bring your own Tupperware to a restaurant for taking home leftovers?

Kate Bender

Hello MinnMax! Long time listener, first time poster. My question for you is, what is a skill or talent that you used to have but no longer have that you wish you could get back? For instance, I once knew how to develop pictures, starting from developing the negatives (remember those?) to using a dark room with chemicals to produce the pictures. I wish I could remember how to do that! Also, as a lot of people do, I found myself a little down over New Years. I was watching Advent Children and when it struck midnight, Zack said, “So what if it looks hopeless? If it were me, I still wouldn’t give up.” Just thought you’d find that interesting.

Rhogar

Happy New Year! During the holidays while family was in town, they wanted to see what was new in gaming. I decided to show off Spider-Man 2 since it features impressive graphics, an iconic character, and an easy to pickup moment-to-moment gameplay loop. This got me wondering what sorts of games everyone likes to use to show off the latest games and hardware, and what makes a good “showcase” game?

Zach

Hello MinnMax Team! My question for you all is what’s with all of the Peter Parker hate?! Spider-Man 2 Spoilers ahead: During the game awards podcast, Jeff M, aka Jeff Jonah Jameson, said that during the Scream fight, Peter blamed everything MJ said on the symbiote and that he took no personal responsibility for any of her complaints. I was shocked when nobody defended Peter so I did what any sane person would do and pulled some quotes from the Scream fight to prove that Peter is a good dude. Justice for Spider-Man! Quote 1: Scream: My life is constantly interrupted by you! Look for answers, leads—because you lost a job or can't pay a bill! I write words I don't believe in for a man I despise, so YOU can be happy! Peter Parker: I didn't realize! MJ, you can quit! I can figure something out! Scream: I can't trust you! I can only rely on us... Peter Parker: No! I'm sorry, MJ! I was wrong! Look, you don't have to trust me, but please, trust yourself! Scream: Let me do what I have to do! Peter Parker: You're right! I've been selfish! I was so wrapped up in my own life, I never thought about yours! But let's handle this MJ's way... Quote 2: Peter Parker: What? No! You're stronger than me in so many ways! You've been single-handedly holding our lives together! I'm sorry, MJ! I took you for-granted! Quote 3: Peter Parker: No, you aren't! I'm sorry I caused you so much pain! The house, my job, our life together... I promised you I'd be better, but I wasn't! I should've listened! I should've been there! We're a team—me and you! I never want your life to be worse, to make mine better! Your dreams are just as important as mine!

Christopher Reardon

Hello Cohorts! Maybe this has been addressed before, but why aren't you doing a Best Podcast Game category in the MinnMax Awards anymore? (Not that that episode isn't long enough!) Did you have a favorite podcast game in 2023?

Patrick Hughes

Ahoy good folks of MinnMax and merry belated New Years! We're always chasing the newest shiny thing to release, but let's flip the script for a bit and look forward to looking backward - What are your most anticipated backlog games to dive into in 2024? This can include games missed from the past few years or even any passed over classic that's been on your "I really ought to play this game at some point" list. One on my shortlist - I learned of Tomato Adventure from MinnMax and decided to give a go of the fan translation this year as I adore Superstar Saga, and I am having a blast with this game. It's so fascinating as it feels like a prototype to Superstar Saga but still with its own quirky personality, it's like a window to dig into the minds of the developers and see how they tick / grew. Thanks for highlighting old / unusual games alongside the shiny and new stuff!

Vilis

Howdy-ho Horts! Can you believe the Sony CEO made an announcement about the state of the Legend of Zelda movie? I was thinking it was one of those memes where they put Obi-wan Kenobis name on a picture of Dumbledore, but Geoff Keighley himself was posting it, so it seemed pretty legit. Am I the only one who found that wild, or am I just old?

mbc

Have any of you ever come to realize that your relationship with video games was unhealthy, and if so, how did you find a balance? Asking for a friend!

ItIsBGun

Hey Friennds! Where does video-game logic seep into your experience of everyday life? Sometimes when I'm stuck in traffic it feels like one of those chokeponts designers put into games - you know the shimmy through a narrow crack or run down a strangely long hallway. Maybe the other side of Denver is loading! Helps me take a breath and have a sense of humor about an annoying situation. 😂 Love from a MN expat! -Ben

thejjuan1

Hello minnmax crew. Question for all of you, when is the right time retired from your jobs? Tom Scott and Mat Pat recently announced of stepping away from YouTube. This is making me think, we are about to see the first big wave of people leaving the internet as their jobs.

Mcdoeswell

Hello cohorts! What’s the greatest video game urban legend?!

Jared Piers

Hello Minnmax! This question is mostly for Leo. During the game of the year debates, you said that you didnt think you would ever like a game as much as you liked Hitman Freelancer. So my question is, if IO eventually releases a follow up, what features do you think they could add that would improve the experience, putting aside technical limitations. And for anyone else, same question but for your favourite game.

Michael Kammeyer

Hey y'all! Over the last year a lot of the big games I've played are open world with a lot of freedom to choose your adventure. While I love player choice and these are fantastic games, I tend to play them for a while and then have to take a long break before beating them, if I ever finish them at all. Do y'all struggle with powering through games like this too? How do you stave off analysis paralysis when you have so many things to get to in a game?

Michael Archer

What is the one piece of media that has resonated throughout your work, whether you were very aware of it or not? In other words, we all have things that have inspired us, but what is the cornerstone that which your creative output stems from?

Adrian Creates

Hey crew! So somewhere in the Two Tens discussion, that gem of a cohort, Leo, talked about how perfect Hitman is to him personally. His tone was so thankful and appreciative, it got me thinking… Is there a game that you feel is just so uniquely perfect for YOU? If so what is it (and also why aren’t you as grateful as Leo! Haha) Mine is AOE4. It was the first entry of the series I tried and I haven’t stopped playing it since it came out. It’s like the game I’d been waiting for my whole life and didn’t realize it.

Fatt Mish

Hi Minnmax Friends. 2024 seems to be a fairly unknown quantity when it comes to games. Sony and Nintendo have been fairly quiet for their own specific reasons--but I'm wondering, outside of an avalanche of cool Indie titles, what major IPs would you like to see make a return in the next 12 to 18 months?

VGTO

Call of Duty kind of hits and misses from year to year but how badly does Microsoft need the next one to hit? If it's not a hit it feels like it will really play into the narrative that Microsoft keeps buying talent but then the talent is unable to match their pre Microsoft success under their management.

SuperCerberus

Whoever wants to talk about Arkham Knight this week is my gaming soulmate! I’ve been replaying the entire series the last few months, and Knight is still my personal favorite. Anyways, for those who’ve played them all, how would you rank each game in the series? And where do you think the Arkham games stack up to all the legendary franchises that began in the 7th generation? (Uncharted, Bioshock, Assassin’s Creed, etc.)

Tokyo Game Life

Ben have you ever played Mystic Warriors? It’s Konami’s spiritual successor to Sunset Riders and was just released for the first time ever on home consoles a few weeks ago thanks to Hamster’s Arcade Archives series.

Sweet Karoline

To Sarah, what is your main in FF XIV?? Are you planning on playing Viper or Pictomancer?

SpiralInYourEyes

Has Sarah ever talked about her Japanese learning experience on the show? I’m in Japan learning Japanese now and it’s a lot of fun. Just wondering how she decided to learn it, what methods she used, any advice she has?

Geoff Enright

Yo Minnmax, Remembering back to the great Red Pandas vs Giant Pandas debate of 2023 I think it is important for us to decide the winner. I am firmly on side of Red Panda. While both have their merits, I think it is undeniable how spectacular the miniature adorable ferocity of a Red Panda truly is. Plus I cannot let it be overlooked during the debate that everyone in the heat of the moment let Ben Hanson say, you cannot "besmirch the good name of a good regular old fashioned American Panda." In what way is the Giant Panda American? Not only is it endemic to China...also its literally the national animal of China for decades. The US has Pandas on loan from China, because they couldn't possibly live here permanently with there sensitive bamboo only tummies. Anyway, continue the debate! More Panda content! -Groffles

Shuya82

Hello MinnMaxers, and Happy New Year! Seeing the community GOTY list vs the Minnmax list made me wonder, what are your thoughts on Hogwarts Legacy being almost completely ignored by the industry. As my personal GOTY and high up on the community list, it makes me think about the effects politics can have on a game studio.

Bezlo

Hello! I was wondering, with the Switch successor, hereby named the Switchcessor or Switcher2, rumors gaining a deafening roar over the last few weeks, what are your favorite games on Nintendo's little hybrid that could? What are the best hidden gems on the system? What is it like being in the glow of Leo Vader so often? Thanks for everything, Cohorts!

Tanner Hoisington

What are some studios/titles that have been quiet for a long time that you reckon must be due for an update this year? I feel like Ben always has a list of these in the back of his head. I'm thinking we get a full reveal of Ueda's game this year, and it releases at the latest in 2025.

headclub

What studio has the biggest quality variance, who has the biggest gap between their best game and their worst game?

Shuya82

How confident are you that Platinum Games will maintain their reputation without Kamiya leading. I feel like their games would often be subpar if it wasn’t for the incredible direction and distinctive flavor that he was certainly a large part of.

Justin Ray

Kojima over the past couple months has posted on his Instagram that he was hanging out with the Rackracka brothers, who made last years best horror movie Talk to Me, and Ari Aster, who made Hereditary and Midsommar. I think it is safe to assume they are likely helping with OD and part of his horror "avengers." That being said knowing Ari Aster is involved I am now fully expecting this game to be weird and upsetting.

bizkiut (Nick S.)

Hey CLCs, I just recently started to play some Fortnite again after not really touching it since close to the launch of the battle Royale mode. My friends and I have been having a lot of fun even though it feels weird saying that we are having fun with Fortnite. What's a game you have gone back to and ended up having a good time?

Vincent L.

New year; new you. Is there some running joke or recurring bit involving yourself that you’d like to leave in the past?

henrik mortensen

Hallo You know what? I am a bit tired of all the enemies in video games. I am playing Spider-man 2 now and there are faaaaar too many enemies! Come on! I am so tired of the fighting in that game. And when you finally have "killed" 25 humans they send in a big enemy! Oh, how interesting! And incredibly boring. Far too many games do this. Punch, dodge and repeat until your special attack has recharged. It is so boring and it frankly makes me want to stop playing the game. But! The question then is, what else should they have do in video games with too much fighting? Less enemies that are stronger? More focus on platforming? More stealth (please no more stealth, Mary Jane). Hate your show

Adam

Hey All, OK, Ben, tell the truth. Did you originally just accidentally hire Sarah because you're a big fan of "Sauropods" and got confused? (You got lucky) ~Adam

Spencer Jenson

Hello all-knowing Minnmax, is there a situation you could describe FOXDIE to a human that doesn't play games without embarrassing yourself or sounding too nerdy?

Rhett

Which traditional Zelda dungeon is your favorite? Personally, I like the Forest Temple from Ocarina of Time - love the creepy vibes, fun puzzles, and cool boss battle!

Pablo Castillo

What YouTube video have you watched in the past week or two with the lowest view count? Share your love of niche topics and creators!

b_wood

What food do you really enjoy that is different from what is "normal"? Does your family have a unique take on mac n' cheese that you really like? Do you eat a certain type of cookies with certain types of cheese?

Lucas Patricio

Hi Minnmaxers! Has anyone in the group played the Cyberpunk expansion, Phantom Liberty, or was it simply not different enough to be considered as contender? I find it surprising that it didn't come up at any point during the Two Tens discussions.

BEEFCAKE

What’s your favorite game that you’ve never played?

Kevin Kuper

Hello all, I'm really excited for Infinite Wealth later this month but I stopped half way through like a dragon and don't know if I want to go back and finish it or just dive in to infinite wealth. Do you all start a sequel without finishing the prior game?

jkk411

Hey there you proboscis havin' cohorts! For the purposes of this question, you are ALL common houseflies. Super sorry about your suddenly limited life expectancy! Which food would you spit out your enzyme-rich housefly saliva onto to drink back up? What do you reckon would taste the best in those conditions?

CANAS1AN

Hey minn maxers, my question for you is what was the last lie you told?

God's Garage

Hey folks, I’ve been loving all the content from the last month. The MinnMax Awards, Goty Debates, and best of MinnMax 2023 have all been incredible. I’ve been going back to Kingdom Hearts (2002) for a bit of nostalgia after a year full of new game after new game. What’s the game you go back to inject a bit of nostalgia into your gaming routine

Hey Folks, simple question today, Who’d last longer in the other’s world? Joel Miller in RE4 or Leon Kennedy in The last of us?

Now that we know the two tens for 2023, my question is this: Assuming Elden Ring was also released in 2023, where would it fall on the 2023 two tens??

Happy new year! Which game would you love to see jump in on the roguelike DLC craze? For me its Destiny 2. The sheer amount of weapons archetypes, weapon perks, classes, skills, enemies and locations make it seem like a perfect fit. It would be a great way to jump back in and be forced to use weapons I just never use. And if they can figure out how to make it work with a fireteam? *chefs kiss*

Hello Minnmaxers!! Last year I tried to play Persona 5 royal for the 3rd time but could never finish it. As you know in the game you have to juggle school, work, training and being a phantom thief but can’t do it all there’s not enough time! Every time I sat down to play I felt like I should be a more productive person getting things done instead of playing videos games. My question is have you ever had a game affect your life in a weird way? Like personally 5 making me be a more productive member of society.

Hey MinnMax! If you were to die in any previous minnmax video, which would it be and how would you go out?

HelloAndre!

How do you evolve past perfection? Like what is Mario Kart 9 gonna look like after we had Mario Kart 8s incredible track list. What would a new Smash Brothers look like after we already the ultimate package. Would Boulders Gate 4 be even better? Could the New Zelda just combined both move sets and call it a day? How do you follow up perfection?

WAZZUP!? How many pillows do you sleep with? Are you one of them pillow freaks with a bed full or are you a weirdo with none?

What’s a show you didn’t like when you first saw it but after time you returned to and liked it ?

Will Starfield come to PlayStation this year?

Feels like Xbox is on the verge of having a lot of it's bets pay off this year Could you see an Xbox exclusive take home game of the year in 2024?

Is there a video game character you hated or disliked at the start of a game but came around on by the time you rolled credits? And do you think any game has intentionally nailed this concept of character development?

Thinking about that dude that “beat Tetris” and a new Indiana Jones game. When I was a kid, I would always get stuck in video games. Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine on N64 was like a freakin Souls game to me. I found the spot where I’d get stuck at 2:55 in this playthrough. https://youtu.be/rjcwDjch6rs?si=igCgBfPicmY6PMGo The snake that comes in the next area was basically unkillable for me 😅 Y’all have any vivid memories of getting stuck in games growing up or are all y’all crushing Tetris at 8 years old?

Hello Cohorts, Lots of talk this week regarding poor UI in regard to Rocksteady's Suicide Squad which got me thinking what are some examples of good or classic UI's that just tickles your brain in that special way?

Hello Minnmax! I have been randomly watching a ton of Kitchen Nightmares over break and I was wondering if you could have Gordon Ramsey's pasty white ass in any game, what would you choose? Thank you and looking forward to another great year from all of you all!

Dru Marcus

As we welcome in a new year, the ever looming weight of our pile of shame in our backlogs continues to build. If you can only finish one game from your backlog, which would you choose?

HelloAndre!

What is the perfect length for a video game? What is the perfect length for a YouTube video. What is the perfect length of a movie? What is the perfect length for a book? What is the perfect length of all ur favorite forms of entertainment?

Do you have a memory of a family member that typically is not interested in video games getting surprisingly into one? For me, my dad is a busy guy and just tends to look down on gaming, but for some reason became obsessed with the PS1 Tomb Raider games to the point he was staying up all night playing and going to work exhausted. He has never played any other game since.

With Abby casting news on TLOU season 2, have a question I’ve sat on for awhile. Why do you think TLOU 2 got ‘slack’ for Abby’s character while games, like Halo 2, did not for ‘similar’ characters to Abby like The Arbiter.

Last week I was surprised to learn that Leo's favorite game of all time is Hitman Freelancer. Not because of the pick, but because I always figured that no one really had a favorite game in this industry. With the amount of games I have played by now, my Top 20 games shuffle around all the time. Can anyone else declare their singular favorite game of all time?
