In your lyrics you've spoken about wanting to be understood, about not wanting to be understood. It seemed to very distinctly mark passage through time. The initial call out into the dark, and then the returning voice. Where are you now in this. Other than lyrics, do you ever do any creative writing? Sometimes your words are as vibrant and expressive as the music, which is ofc wonderful. Anyways, i was wondering whatever happened to the "Lost in the Parking Lot" album, only track 5 seems to remain nowadays? At first blush, am enjoying/being made uneasy by, the new album, but haven't had time to read along to the lyrics yet. Why is this the last album, as announced? Would you talk about the composition process for Black Dresses? Do you and rook work together in a shared space, tossing off ideas back and forth in a cooperative manner, or is it more like a parallel play situation, or even serial composition, with each of you passing bits back and forth to each other while working in solitude? What do you think of some of the early synth pioneers, like Laurie Anderson, Nervous Gender, Gary Numan, Devo and Klaus Nomi? Who do you consider your influences from that era? Who were your top ten bands when you were in your late teens, early twenties? What is your favorite midi interface device and software? I hope you're feeling contented and safe.
