Hi Chommang, is there supposed to be a file for the steps to draw a profile face?

Chommang

Oh, sorry. I missed it. I have uploaded it as an attached file now, so please download it! 😲🙏

Jo

No worries. Thank you for the upload ☺️

Sheri

when I print the left side of your tutorial images are cut off slightly

Chommang

It's set to A4 size. Try changing your printer settings :)

I don't understand. All of the steps are like Draw it this much apart, roughly draw the cross lines?? If it's all rough and by feel then there is no point to the course video. This is explained just like any youtube video where they just draw and say: Then draw the draw the cross lines here, then draw the nose and neck. If i knew where to draw each of those, i wouldn't need a video to begin with. And I have paid for this.

he covered all placements in the previous front facing video. it's all the same placement heights, but on the left side instead of the middle. don't overthink it too much, use the same fractions used in the front view video and you will be in the same area (nose middle of brow line and chin, mouth slightly above middle line between middle of nose circle and bottom of chin, etc.) i'm doing all the courses in order and they are flowing seamlessly to me. He's one of the better art teachers online.

yes i agree he is great -- the main point is the number of examples he shows with his methods. I have looked at head courses by Michael Hampton, Steven Huston, and also course by Peter Han, they don't give as many examples OR they just flatly don't use the method they just explained, and just use "artistic sense." Chommang is unique in actually showing his method in multiple use cases. Love it! He's the best. And if you think Chommang is vague, try watching another teacher who will explain all these rules and then do something totally different, because they have the mileage.
