Proof of Life #29: More news about HC2 (Patreon)

~I decided to make this particular PoL post public because it contains important infos about the game, and I thought it'd be nice to keep everyone, Patrons and non-Patrons, updated!~

Hello guys and gals, N_Taii here!

So there are a few news I wanted to share with everyone.

About HC2

For the time being, there should be around 45 mins of gameplay already implemented, all mostly tested and working. As I mentioned already, you'll play as a very young MC for most of the demo so we can have some character progression when we jump in time and switch to the adult version.

There will be less mini-games and more dialogues (actually, the demo will be mostly that, so you get to know the villagers, the map as well as the functionalities).

I added a few new functionalities that weren't there in HC1, like those I mentioned in PoL #27(fast forward, quest journal, message backlog), and a minimap of the whole map that you can consult by pressing M. You'll be able to unlock it after completing a short side-quest.

Also, we'll most likely have Pixie Willow (an NSFW voice-artist that worked for several well-known studios such as Studio FOW and lots of others, you can find her over on twitter) do the background sounds (moans, BJ, etc...). The voices might have a slightly more "western" feel to them than HC1, but I know it'll sound good!

Last but not least, characters facesets! I've decided to add various facesetes for the two main heroins (the mom and the love interest) with an option to switch them on/off for those who'd rather not see them. I don't think they'll be in the demo, as I have just made the decision and have commissoned nothing so far, but if everything goes well, we'll have them from Update 1 and on!

PS: I added living fishes in the water (you can somehow see them in the pic) as well as other animals like squirrels, foxes, pigs and goats on the map. It took quite a lot of time to get it working properly, but I won't let anyone say I wasted time! : D

So what's the story going to be on this? Will it be linear or open world type stuff?

A mix of both, mostly. There is going to be the main quests that'll make up a big chunk of the story, all linear, but also some side-quests that'll unlock as you progress through the main quest. Some will need to be done in order to continue with the main quest, and order will be more "free" to do whenever you want. At least, that's how I'm planning it, but I'll have to see how it works first.

I know this might sound surprising considering the games I make, but I'm no cuck, and I don't plan on walking down that road. But thank you too : )

Was more a reference to the games and trying to find something that rhymed with duck that was the lesser of two evils 😉

I mean, now that we got living fishes, do we even need sex scenes at this point? We've already reached peak quality anyway : )
