Motosu Lake not at Tokyo, it located in Yamanashi, about 100 kilometres from Tokyo, so why Chihaya here?

Let’s say that Chihaya’s dad has a summer house close by in the Fuji five lakes area and likes to take her daughter there on the weekends in his Porsche Cayenne. :-)
