So we finally have gotten a term for that special state for when a diver continue to swim despite drowning with flooded lungs. This is interesting and it makes sense that Saki is the one who would recognize something like this

If Tomo is the one who recognized it originally, that’s yet another notch in his belt, so to speak. Normally even lifeguards would assume that if the person were still moving, even if they haven’t surfaced, they must not be out of air yet, so there would be no reason to save them. Tomo is proving to be a highly advanced diver in just his first real outing. Is Saori still hanging with everybody? And how does Saki address the drowned girl now? Does silent drowning imply that Toko has already taken a breath of water, or did carbon dioxide simply cause her to black out without losing total control? I still think these pictures would be better with Tomo bare-chested. Imagine him floating in the background in the last panel topless…

Yes this would happen only to someone in the shrine maiden’s clan, maybe Toko is SakiTomo’s distant kin? :-)

Does this mean that Chihaya and Aya also are related to the shrine maiden clan? As that has been theorized for many years. So is this the confirmation of that I wonder? ^^

Hint: the sea shrine clan family tree is matrilineal, the mothers of Chihaya and Aya are sisters :-)
