While conducting a solo deep dive off the coast of Shikoku using Nitrox mix for extended bottom time, marine technician Rika Aoyama descends past 70 meters to inspect a submerged geological anomaly. What begins as a routine survey turns extraordinary when she discovers a sealed, cylindrical device wedged into a crevice—something not listed on any maritime history.

I wonder what this could be?

Wow, this art feels so good looking at idk why, descending at such speed is the best feeling, and to top it off she lost her fins, meaning that her scuba range is very finite. She can only go a certain distance before certain death 🥰🤤. Looks like she will get to the -500m deep soon >:3c

I could be wrong, but I thought nitrox mixes had their own special container. Is a simple scuba tank capable of handling gas at that pressure? Also no wetsuit? She’s brave, especially if she wanted “extended bottom time”.

nitrox in 70m deep :O 💀 new peril?

If they're doing this sort of thing at my home coast, I'd love to join in!

Looks like a crash dive

Only in swimming suit? As the water depth increases, the rapidly rising water pressure will make her unable to breath.

Underwater mysteries are some of the best (or, at least, most entertaining) kinds.
