Heart stopping and self resuscitation: one of the advanced maneuvers of the Sea Priestess to see god.

Didrik Svahn

This must be a new skill that Saki learned. As back in AGVG Aya had to help Saki restart her body

savaster

Good observation. Note that Saki “remembered” her memory with Misao after meeting with Nate (her dad) :-)

lisenke

So, when Sea Priestess immersed in the ritual, does her heartbeat often alternated between a state of stopping and resuming?

Didrik Svahn

Oh yes I remember that scene when Nate told her about how she looked like her mother. But does this mean that Misao “spirit” was able to transfer those memories to her, in some sort of way?

lisenke

So you admit that Saki forgot about Misao's existence before she reunited with Nate?

Titan1017

Two things from what you just said, savaster: you’re confirming that after the big dive, Saki’s heart was stopped? At the time, Aya performed what looked like the Heimlich Maneuver, something to clear her airway, not something to restart her heart. And second, you’re suggesting that the light “figure” from a couple panels ago was Misao? Saki didn’t meet with Nate until after the big dive, and this is the only near death experience she’s had since.

Titan1017

Knowing whether she forget her mother entirely is also a very good question. If so, I’d have to revise some of the AGMG story I’ve been working on. Can you at least clarify that?

savaster

Yes. First of all, FMS story main does not deal with super-naturals, so any spirit-looking beings that Saki comes across and look other-worldy are projections of her own mind. So we don't know if the latest "spirit" was her mom or the sea god as she has not defined it herself :-)

Didrik Svahn

But supernatural being and stuff exist in the world of FMS. As shown in the Soaked spirit mini series most clearly. So the evidences seem to point at that they do exist. And would it not make sense that they would interact with Saki then? Seeing how she is a shrine maiden

savaster

And Saki is currently on a journey to rediscover herself and her mom as well as getting back on track with her life. When she lost her mom and dad at the same time, it was an overly traumatic experience for young Saki so she protective instincts made her forget about her mom entirely, But she did remember her dad and decided to go on deep dive quests to "find his remains" wearing the same design of bikinis and pigtails that she remembered when she was with him. The elders had lied that Nate went down with his ship hoping that Saki would train herself to be an extraordinary diver and a better sea priestess :-)

savaster

That is why you see her recently in non-bikini swimwear and learning new tricks as she recoups her memory as the heir apparent to Misao :P

Didrik Svahn

One thing that I wonder about is why the elders did not tell her about her mother. Because if they wanted her to become a good sea priestess. Should not they have told her about her mom which was the best ones?

savaster

To Didrik- we haven’t figured a way to reconcile that because Yuri brought those on with her - and Yuri was not an initial part of FMS cinematic universe ;-)

Didrik Svahn

What did Yuri brought with her was like her esper friend Jia? Because otherwise before letting her join the FMS cast. She did not have that much supernatural connection. Just her friend would count if even esper powers would count as such🤔 Also sorry if I’m a bit confused here as I know that Yuri did that supernatural journey when she was with Eri. Who pretty much always been a part of the FMS since her character got introduce

Titan1017

Thank you for the clarification, savaster. I will have to make some modifications to what i had already written, but I’m hoping to have everything ready for you sometime this summer. And before you had even said anything i had already concocted a scenario where the elders lied about Nate. I think you’ll like it.

savaster

To Didrik: I understand your confusion. Let’s just say Yuri sort of distorts the premises around her and may affect genuine FMS characters, like having Thor around in a film where Iron Man is the main character. If that makes sense. But she has unique charm and we intend to continue to use her :-)

Didrik Svahn

So to see if I have gotten this right about Yuri. She has a tendency to sometimes distort the premises of the story. Because of her special charm and origin. But the main story mainline which currently is Tiger Lily is supposed to be immune or at least heavily resistant against that?

savaster

(SAVER) I apologize for the confusion. Due to SAKI’s nature as a shrine maiden, she presents certain complexities that are difficult to define. While there may be a slim possibility regarding her mysterious abilities, Yuri and Jia’s superpowers will definitely not appear in the official FMS universe. Yuri’s story is strictly a spin-off, so I hope you enjoy it simply for entertainment purposes.

Didrik Svahn

Ok fair enough but I take it this story is more in line with the main story then? Seeing how much it does focus on Saki, just like the main story. Because this story feels like it’s more then just entertainment. But rather serve an important story propose for Saki and Tomo

savaster

(SAVER) Unlike Yuri’s story, SAKITOMO is not a spin-off. Rather, it is a separate narrative where the focus is placed entirely on the unfolding events between Saki and Tomo. Because it delves into their hidden pasts and future journeys, the tone may be more serious and less focused on pure entertainment. Nevertheless, I would truly appreciate your continued interest and support as their story progresses.

Didrik Svahn

Ofc I will support this story honestly it is the story recently that has collected the most of my interest. So I always look forward to the next page of it just to see what that is next ^^

thekill

If self resuscitation is saki cheking her chest size if she grown more from drowning… WELL IM TOTALY OKAY WITH IT 🥰👍🤣

Titan1017

To Saver: does that mean that the end of Soaked Spirits with the girl in the bikini outside of the shipwreck is also non-canon? I was hoping that she would tie into the Shrine Maidens and the cousins continued growth as divers, by spurring them to explore at depths far greater than what they are comfortable with.

savaster

(SAVER) Yes, I regret to inform you that the episode is also a spin-off created for entertainment purposes. Since it contains many fantasy elements, I felt it would be difficult to integrate into the official FMS universe from the start. Although I’d like to continue the series, my current focus is on TL and ST, so spin-off projects have naturally become a lower priority for now.
