Interesting I wonder why Saki can hold her breath longer with a dog tail in her mouth? But yet again a lovely post by Saki, I’m really looking forward to see that demo ^_^

Can't wait for the "demo" :3

Probably has something to do with less exhalation while underwater, more focus on the feel of metal in her mouth, as opposed to the pressure/pain on her lungs or even a wet swimsuit against her skin. Also, I would think for her to consider it “longer” it would have to be a significant amount of time (probably at least a minute), as we know she loses track of time eventually. Wonder if this “demo” of hers takes place before or after her trip to 250 meters with the cousins?

But shouldn't that piece of metal make her lips less water tight, which would cause more exhalation as air is leaking from her lips? We know that Saki can handle a 10+ minutes dive from the beautiful prey short series. Which did happened without Saki having that tag in her mouth. So then Saki could be able to do a 11 minutes breath hold at least by using this new method. And I'm also wondering if this take place after the 250 meters dive. I mean the date on the twitter post would suggest that, but I don't know if we should take that date as being canon to the five minutes series overall

Regardless of whether or not her mouth is completely sealed she’s already demonstrated she’s capable of controlling her exhale (back on panel 153 she quite literally gulped before trying to talk, all while inside the wreck, before lasting at least all the way to being pulled out of the ship, to the point where she’s the only diver who hasn’t drowned, even if her abilities are wildly diminished until she breathes again). I was simply suggesting the tag helped because it was a different item of focus for her. Needless to say, I’d love to see a follow-up picture of her after an eleven to twelve minute submersion, regardless of whether she’s using the tag.

Well I agree with the idea on focusing on something different when doing long breath holds. Cause I remember hearing about that when you try to hold your breath for longer periods of time. Without going into panic mode which will drastically shorten you possible time limit underwater. And yeah I would also love to see Saki beating her record underwater. But then again it’s many things that I want to see from Saver.
