Our condolences go to the five men who were aboard the OceanGate Inc.'s exploratory submersible, who have been declared dead today after a presumed deep water implosion.

Many voices are heard over the endeavor's poor planning and subpar engineering. However, it is also true that the boundaries of man are thrust forward by who those put themselves behind the steering device, not by the wealthy critiques who speak from the comfort of their homes.

(Btw, did James Cameron decide to wait out going on TV until he knew exactly what had happened?)

I hope it was quick. 😥

he didn't wait, as much as it wasn't his job to break the bad news

Oh a implosion is very quick as that happens in the blink of eye. As I think that you whole body get ripped apart so you would not have time or any brain to register the pain*

Also from what I have heard the American military did pick up on the sound of the submarine imploding during Sunday. But they still did continue the search, and the news outlets did not report about that fact until today

thekill

no wait from him, and also i hope it was just fast and painless

I assume it would have been too cruel for the families to reveal about that implosion from the get-go when the search was still on.

I understand now that he probably inferred from the beginning that an implosion had happened and any rescue attempts would be futile, but until that was revealed by an authoritative body he would just sound like an ominous prophet.

Dragon-Tear

They picked up a sound which CAN be attributed to an implosion. Likely not reliable enough to have called it a day with the searches...
