While there are groups out there that fight for animal rights (e.g. those against whaling or dolphin hunting), there are people in Texas open fields that kill hundreds of wild hogs a day with SUV mounted heavy machine guns (it's considered pest control). Talking about the duality of man...

Oh yes humanity have lots of duality when it comes to stuff like this. But also it’s Texas so I’m not that surprised XD

This comparison is not fair, Wild hogs are an invasive species in North America, and the population is up to millions. Whales and some species of dolphins are endangered animals, the population is only in the tens of thousands.

IWC estimates there are a million Minke whales which are still increasing - their predominance is a harm to the real endangered maritime species. This argument had been maintained by one former IWC member country but others would not listen. Well it’s no longer a member, and we will see who was in the right in a few decades.

The hogs are invasive and extremely damaging to the environemnt. Despite the lengths people go to hunt them, their population is still out of control.

I'm no fan of whaling but I admit that meat from the bio-industry tends to be worse in several ways.

Minke whales have slow reproduction and are probably still recovering from over-hunting decades ago. They are also hunted by Orca's which themselves are somewhat endangered. So while they are not endangered anymore I don't think they will upset the natural balance.
