Have people had a chance to spot Starlink satellites? There are apps out there that help you locate thrm, but I haven’t had luck yet. I’m sure I’m looking at the right places, but probably too much fog or clouds in the air.

You have to go out to the countryside to find them. From within the city, there is far too much garbage light that obstructs your view of the stars

No I have not, but I don’t think your problem is fog or clouds. But rather light pollution which comes from being in big cities. If you did travel to the countryside then during the night. I’m sure that you would get much higher chances of spotting one. And if you didn’t the view of the starry sky would surely be much better ^^

Back in the day when I lived in/near the big cities I could hardly ever see anything in the sky at night except for the moon. Recently I moved much more to the countryside and can see the the stars clearly in the night sky. At one late evening whilst cycling I looked up and was like "Oh that's what a Constellation is".

Aye, difference is immense. While you can see a few stars twinkling in the city sky. In the mountains you can see why they call it the milky way.

Ah, thank you for the tips. Where I live it is difficult to spot anything beyond Venus, Sirius, and other brightest stars, I had thought it was due to humidity but probably light flooding is a greater factor. Only one time I have had a chance to see a real night sky out in the deserts of Arizona with Milky Way and shooting stars. It was spectacular! :-)
