Hey everyone! Just wanted to share my progress on my game development journey with UE5.

🎮 What’s Going Well:✅ My knowledge of the UE5 editor now allows me to bring my vision to life.✅ While I’m not a natural artist, I’ve been tackling 3D tools and animation with Blender, Daz, Cascadeur, and more. I’ve hit key milestones and continue to improve.✅ I now understand Daz much better! It helps me set up character bases with assets like hair, realistic skin, genitals, and textures to make them as lifelike as possible.✅ I’ve figured out how to move my Daz models to Blender to refine, sculpt, and merge geometry and UVs—fixing the floating asset issues I had with the Daz to UE5 bridge.✅ I can successfully export my models with correct morphology and textures to UE5, ensuring they import properly with shaders.

⚙️ Current Challenges:🛠 Fixing the UE5 skeleton rig—right now, my animations make my characters look like some kind of Gollum construct from Lord of the Rings… Not exactly the sexy look I’m going for. 😅🛠 Figuring out how to properly import textures from Blender to UE5. This seems manageable, so I’m focusing on the skeleton and animations first.

Overall, I’m making steady progress, and it’s exciting to see everything come together! If anyone has tips for fixing skeleton rigs in UE5, I’d love to hear them. 🎭🎨
