Cheerio! Cheerio! At long last, the second Curio is here-io!

Morpheus Frater

Finally I've been waiting for this since the future

Ezra Johnston

My Favourite Part of Curio One: Naked Winslow Routine My Hated Part of Curio One: Child Tilda Relation Implication

Miniature Death

The soundboard is back in an AMAZING way

The coltergeist

She benj on my button till I’m curious

Taxigraph

I’m desiring patricks songs to have just a touch more relevance to the respective curios. Keep the tangents, but lightly touch on current curio events. Linking the second song to a scene in this curio was good

The coltergeist

Me and my girl are watching outer limits and also had a button style ep, a woman had a gene she could never age and a man injected her blood into him and he immediately starting getting younger and younger and he DID in fact become a pile of foaming bubbling goo

LAKE R▲DIO

The original Benjamin Button story was written by F Scott Fitzgerald and Silken Captive was written by Julie Fitzgerald. That can’t be a coincidence and I think it’s worth looking into.

Sarah

The sight of old baby Benjamin button makes me ill hes beyond imagination. You have to see to believe

I love to see the creativity coming from PAL and from the PALumunity. Really beautiful.

Not to be too serious-minded and grave a person, but in the 19th and early 20th centuries, there were actual things called “human zoos” or "ethnological exhibitions" displaying Indigenous and tribal people in staged “primitive” settings, contrasting them with Westerners. Most were taken from colonised regions; while not always legally enslaved, they were typically coerced, manipulated, and had little control. These shows grew out of circus “freak shows” (e.g. P. T. Barnum) and later gained pseudo-scientific legitimacy in zoos, tied to racist ideas that non-European peoples were evolutionarily closer to apes. They remained common into the 1950s. The character Mr Oti appears based on Ota Benga, an Mbuti man (ie "pygmy") from the Belgian Congo who was purchased from slave traders in 1904 and brought to the 1904 St. Louis World's Fair as a coerced performer. He later worked at the Bronx Zoo, where, under pressure from eugenicist Madison Grant, he was exhibited alongside apes as “The Missing Link.” Protests from African-American clergy led to his removal; he was then placed in an orphanage, attended school, and worked to fund a return to Congo. This became impossible after the outbreak of World War I, and he died by suicide in 1916 in his early 30s. I wonder if Fincher is really handling the actual history of these atrocities with due tact and nuance by depicting Mr Oti as a curious, humorous, feral person as part of a whimsical wider story about a freak of nature, instead of highlighting the actual inhumanity of how Ota Benga was treated and his eventual fate.

Hey guys - irrediction breaks down to me like ir-re-diction. ir- is not, -re- is 'back' and -diction is talking so it's safe to say that irrediction is an inability to reply. My first thought was that they were sort of reaching for a derivation of the latin 'rego' which is related to the word 'resurrection' in the sense of standing back up. Maybe they really meant 'inerection' which is also not a word but based off of the latin roots would mean an inability to stand up. I wonder if they kinda combined it with 'irredeemable' which is a sort of churchy word I think. In the end, I think it makes the preacher/faith healer into a bit of a comically exaggerated character who uses made up vocabulary to sound smarter without actually having an understanding of the words he used. Maybe another case of Mr Fincher going too far with treating real world issues in more comic formats rather than taking them seriously as representations of important facets of humanity...

Adam McClung

our names are curiously close. and i completely agree with everything you said unrelatedly

K7

If I was around back then I would have been in the human zoo known as "Freakiest mf around" 😛😛😛

Max Evans

Curious...

TwoPizz

the opera singer singing curious case blew my mind

Logan S

This is the best series ever, for real

King Suck

I would encourage Patrick to make sure the words in the lyrics have the same number of syllables as the beats in the melody. and maybe stop being so referential to Cameron's part on Mars

zzman11

The boys straight up invented a type of podcast that makes movies more better

chorus

patrick i hope you make a bounce song or a zydeco song for a curio - ChorusTheMusicFan

Elianna

I haven’t watched any curio but I want you to stop this immediately

ShrimpyBebo

Patrick’s Beatles song is indistinguishable from Tally Hall.

Dom Servo

Last verse of the second song is kind of like Patrick’s “Last Call” and now I am hoping he makes a 3 minute song with 10 minutes of talking tacked onto the end

bomb.dev

Calebs 3d render looks like an MS paint drawing 😭

Heath

I believe the SFX artist

Heath

Nvm. Heard cams rebuttal

E G Christmas

Patrick needs to believe in his musical gift, both songs were great. Lost Beatles Recording killed me and Caleb is right, it’s definitely his most unique work so far. #RELEASETHEMARKKOZALEKCURIO2SONG

Hello, I did the drawing and was certain the eye patch guy was going to be a big point of discussion. They got a damn pirate in this movie!

infantson

Patrick's beat deafness when writing music is truly fascinating. It really sets his music apart

Dylan Davis

I really like the kingdom hearts sample in pat’s second song

grant brown

Cambutton, Buttrick, Calebutton, Buttlio

J_pay

I dont read nearly that much but that explains that part. also immediately think of sara Baartman aka the "Hottentot Venus", in Europe, often the `other` famous example of this forgotten practice. this was a century before but surely a connection to this curio/movie could be courteously made just saying. but yeah with her image being a sort of reclaimed cultural reference, at one point i thought she was like a mythological figure, and then learning her actual life, not to mention dying before 27 was brutally sad

The Big

i too joined for jube

luca

Let's give it up for Patrick's soundboard joke

Bosco

I’m so freaking mad that you guys didn’t just record all of them at once and release them now 😡😡 I can’t wait!

Vincent

It’s been stuck in my head for a few days now

Luke Haskell

I like trying to guess what parts of the movie Cameron will turn into soundboard clips. "Seven" was an easy one!

meth slut

Pat I just want you to know Cajuns are from west Louisiana and ppl from New Orleans are Creole so the Cajun accent is for west Louisiana 😛❤️
