When I first started drawing digitally, I was lucky enough to receive my Dad's Wacom Intuos2. It's a beast and has served me well for many years.  It's still a great tablet but I've been thinking that since it's now 20 years old! I really should be looking for an upgrade. Picture below advertising Intuos2!!! Told ya it was ancient!:

So after looking over a bunch of different tablets, I've decided to go for the XP-PEN 22R Pro! It seemed to tick a lot of boxes for me in terms of spec and although I'd love to stick with Wacom, the price of the XP-Pen was just so much more accessible.

I wasn't even sure about getting a tablet with a screen at first either since I've always been pretty used to using a regular monitor but I've been curious to see if there is a real difference or not.

I've got 30 days to see if it works out. I've already been using it on some live projects and it's 50/50 but I'll keep going with it and see. I'm still adjusting settings to my liking.

I'll let ya'll know how it goes :)

(Bonus, the box come with lovely art packaging!)
