I want to test how good Patreon is at displaying strip form comics. I've heard phones will compress these images, so let me know what your experience is while reading Dreamwalker Episode 1. I'm uploading these 3 pages for now just to test.

It functions well on phone web format but I’m unsure about pc format. Art is still fantastic though. It might however bug out if made into longer strips though but that’s just a guess. It’s slightly more squished than WEBTOON but it’s not terrible. Small text may be an issue or subtle details though now that I think about it.

Hmm. Reding this on the app, its doable. The strip is pretty pixellated but not unreadable. Its aroind jpeg quality. I can make out individual blocks from 40-60 cm away. It did work well back in canvas days though. We needed to download the chapters then but the quality was the same as webtoon, so maybe that still works?

ah i didnt even think about the canvas days uploads. Back then I didn't realise patreon has a mobile app and just assumed everyone could read it. Now searching for that post in the app, the compression is terrible Dx

Thanks for letting me know! There does still seem to be a bit of compression going on, that's a shame

I have edited the post with more sliced-up pages. It looks great on mobile now but boy was it hard to upload all that slices on patreon, phew
