Happy new year to all the Cane and Rinse crew. This is always my favourite episode of the year. A lovely new years treat.

Stanshall .

Yessss! ❤️ Happy New Year to you and the whole gang. Can't wait to dive in.

Alex79

Hoooo boy, here it is, podcast highlight of the year! Look forward to listening when I get some time tonight. And sorry to hijack this post, but I'm going to share this link again - come along and join in with the annual Cane and Rinse Forum Quiz! Would be great to get some new people on the forum or some old faces returning. It's a great place! https://caneandrinse.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3330

Dave Roberts

yeah finally! gonna go for a drive and listen immediately

Cormoran Strike

Can’t believe your doing a whole year of podcasts on prince of Persia 2008. Someone must be a big fan!

Tolkientaters

Jay if you want to play BG3 with full nudity, you can do it with full stats, you can strip to nudity by unequiping camp garments and underwear, and wearing whatever armor. Then you just switch to show camp garments in each character's inventory, no mods required

Gure Gorio

Woo-hoo! Christmas came extremely early in 2025. What a treat!

Scott Lamond

Happy New Year! This podcast is landing at the perfect time as I’ve just been looking through the old backlog working out what to play this year, I’ll try and fit in as many C&R14 games as possible once I’ve listened to what they are!

Cormoran Strike

I’m so excited you’re finally doing sonic adventure! One of my favourite games of all time.

Luke Grimbleby

I was hoping Jay might be on more shows next year. He brings some great insights to the shows he’s on. Looking forward to a fantastic year of hits and some I’ve never heard of

Alex79

Oh yes, another bumper crop of games, what an eclectic mix. So pleased to see Gran Turismo finally getting it's time in the Cane and Rinse spotlight. Plenty to say about those first two games - I still don't think GT2 has been bettered by any racing game. Some of my all time favourites in this series of shows and plenty I've never even heard of. Looking forward to Dark Forces and Quake II especially, too. Great year ahead!

SludgeWizard

Contra: Hard Corps! Now we’re talking!

CoupdeGravy

Can't wait for the episodes on Chrono Cross, Sonic Adventure, and Inscryption! Remarkable and divisive games. Also curious to see what the panel makes of Sin and Punishment! At the risk of sounding ungrateful, I must admit I'm very slightly saddened that Leon didn't step in to force Brian to cover Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories on GBA before doing an episode on Kingdom Hearts 2 in the same manner he's having Rich cover EarthBound Beginnings before EarthBound. Chain of Memories has gorgeous sprite art, card-based combat that the series never returns to, and an elaborate story that's vital to understanding KH2!

Mr Ixolite

My insane contrarian opinion is that KH: COM is better than KH2. I think the card system is pretty neat!

Mr Ixolite

Having finally played it just last year, I will be happy to step in with positive feedback on Sonic Adventure. One of the jankiest, yet oddly compelling games I've played in ages, definitely the most interesting Also a good reason to finally tick Chrono Cross, Pikmin 3 and Inscryption off the backlog, and stop hesitating and finally getting Pseudoregalia

CoupdeGravy

The GBA version of COM is my favourite in the series!

Chris Worthington

I'll certainly be playing CoM in prep for the show.

Pizza Hotline

This has got to be my favourite list since I started following the pod. Wipeout, one of my greatest loves. Astro bot, my game of the year. Sonic Adventure?! Being a huge Dreamcast fan I've attempted to play this disaster of a game half a dozen times and simply had to stop. Make no mistake, Sonic Adventure is an absolute disasterous mess. However, I'm gonna give it one last go this year and play along. I can't wait 😜 Leon - about the C&R sub Reddit. I've dropped you a message on Instagram.

Magnus Berg

A friend recently got me into Walkabout Mini-golf and since you can play any course as long as the host of the session has bought them, he's been showing me around all the best courses too. It's definitely one of the few VR games I've really enjoyed.

Retrogamer1138

Great list! Pushed me off the fence for Inscryption, and to finally finish Panzer Dragoon. But.... I am SO READY for wipEout!

Alex79

Oh Wipeout!? Cool, I'd somehow totally missed that whilst listening!

Ewan Beck

I actually replayed and finally finished Earthbound a few months ago, and I specifically checked the release date to see whether an anniversary was coming up to prompt you guys to finally cover it. I figured the opportunity was missed since the 30th anniversary was last year, but hooray for Rich!! Very much looking forward to both of those episodes.

Juli Reed

Dark Cloud, Dark Cloud, Dark Cloud. SO here for a 2000 JRPG, this news made my year lol Thank you Chris!!!

Stephen

Tremendously excited! Also, Kingdom Hearts 2 getting on the list is very exciting! I would love if you make it all the way to 3, if only I could rant endlessly about why it is a god awful game.

Stephen

KH COM is pretty great (on GBA at least - the less said about the Ps2 version the better). Also very necessary to have a vague idea about the plot of KH2.

Azzan

Pray to God to get Jay on both Resident Evil 4 and Dead Space Remakes Podcasts.
