Our Darren rightfully and righteously nominated the venerable Bomberman (also known by several other names) series for inclusion in our 2025 roster. Blasting off as a single-player only affair way back in 1983, this Hudson franchise saw no fewer than 80, mostly local multiplayer focused, entries released over the subsequent 40 years. So it's high time (High-10?) that Leon, Darren himself, Karl and Michiel - along with contributors from the Cane and Rinse Patreon and forum - gave the little dude (and multiplayer pals) his dues.Music featured in this issue:1. So many memories of playing Mega Bomberman with my best mate as a kid. Loved this podcast, so much nostalgia. Also, shout out to Darren, he's always a lot of fun when he's on a show

I remember playing a ton of Atomic Bomberman on my PC as a kid. Sure, I only played against bots, was completely unaware of any other Bomberman games, and apparently it was poorly received, but I had a good time! Plus, it introduced me to the character and (eventually) led to me checking out other entries in the series.

Enjoyed the show as always! You may have mentioned this and I missed it, but I have a very vague memory of a Bomberman coming out a few years back for either Switch or Xbox, and it was a free to play online game? I am sure I downloaded it and gave it a go, but I remember it being a surprise and seemingly coming out of nowhere. I didn't imagine that did I?
